Latest addition to the household who is a welcome distraction from calamities and catastrophes elsewhere. All she worries about is who is going to steal her carrot. If life could be so simple for the rest of us?

Dog and cat pics are always welcome. Thanks so much for sharing Tashi with us!
Hi Marjorie, will you at some point be taking a look at the very ambitious Artemis space programme which aims to land astronauts on the moon in 2028 and by 2032 should culminate in a semi-permanently manned base there. Artemis II will be launched later tonight at the height of the full moon in Libra which I guess underlines the cooperative nature of the enterprise. TIA
Came two videos on Youtube, one of which was about how other countries are developing their own national payment systems to get around having to use Visa and Mastercard. The other one was about the situation in in the Strait of Hormuz and how Iran is monetising it. The bit I found interesting was that Iran is taking payments in Chinese yuan, to bypass US control of its finances.
I also remember reading a while ago that Germany is considering withdrawing its gold from the US Federal reserve, because the US is not trusted to hold it in the German interest.
The IT devices of EU officials who visit the US are now treated with as much suspicion (of having been potentially infected by malware/spyware/espionage software) as those devices that have been taken to China.
A lot of US economic power is based on the US’s control of international modes of payments and the currency passing through its banks. I suspect that the Iran conflict will accelerate the de-dollarisation of the fossil fuel industry at the very least. And the global reputation of the US is tarnished for quite a while. I doubt that even a Democrat president will be able to restore the US’s reputation or economic power after the spectacular self-immolation by the US.
As an aside, I saw some jokes online about nobody suspecting that President Trump was an activist for Just Stop Oil. He’s achieved it way better for them than teenagers splashing soups on pieces of art.
Reading that UK estate agents are filing a class action lawsuit against Rightmove – the property selling portal – for excessive fees. No surprise because Rightmove has cornered the market and there isn’t anyone buying/selling who doesn’t use it.
Quick look suggests it was incorporated on May 16, 2000 which is late Taurus with the Jupiter-Saturn conjunction and Venus also in the mix. All square Uranus in Aqua. Talk about a chart that tells a story.
I wasn’t aware of the lawsuit , GD. That’s some chart. Monopoly or not, Rightmove is a terrific app.
Tashi is VERY cute.
Congratulations on your new little dog Marjorie! Such a very pretty face, but I suspect a very determined personality amidst the adorable fluff. Whatever I came here to post has flown straight out of my head…..
She is not quite what I had in mind since my last one was a Weimaraner. But since I have just bought a house with sheep on three sides a Jack Russell or pair which was in my mind would not do. The Weimaraner would have eaten them before breakfast.
This wind up teddy bear has her moments but compare to the last one is a dawdle.
Your new baby is adorable! Please share her name! Is she a pure bred or a mix? A puppy or adult? Thanks for posting her photo!
A Lhasa Apso, which was originally Tibetan – an inside guard dog and she does have a high pitched bark. Tashi by name who was the Tibetan goddess of food fortune Though most often is referred to as Tiddles or Squiggle which I must stop since I can hardly use that as recall outside.
6 months old – a Virgo
I don’t know, Squiggle or Tiddles Orr shouted out at vet would cheer everyone up!
She is adorable and looks very cuddlesome 🙂
I tend to prefer larger dogs because they are easier to spot when I am walking about.
When I was a teenager, I accidentally stepped on and broke a leg of a very energetic Pomeranian who was literally running in circles around me. I was of course deeply sorry for that accident, but I didn’t see that dog after that. I think they sent the dog to stay with my friend’s grandparents, after a stint at the vet’s. So I tend to be cautious around small dogs.
