Vladimir Putin is plagued with a failing economy, a Ukraine invasion not going his way, with Trump not delivering on a Kiev submission and significant discontent internally. Mobile internet has been intermittently disrupted or shut down entirely, causing Russian businesses to lose billions of roubles, with higher taxes and rising inflation, and the cost of groceries and household bills soaring.
According to sources he will not give in over the Ukraine until he has taken Donbas but military analysts say at the current pace of advance, it could take years to fully capture the Donbas, despite what his generals are telling him.
Kyiv has reduced its dependence on Washington, while stepping up its own military production. The unblocking of a €90bn EU loan and deepening military and intelligence sharing ties with European allies have further diminished US leverage over Ukraine.
There is no sense, despite unease at home, that Putin will be toppled imminently; and Russian attacks appear to be stepping up on Ukraine this weekend which fits with the brutal Mars in Taurus square Pluto, exact next Tuesday.
Pin-pointing an exact exit date for any leader is not simple with multiple factors to consider. But 2027 looks most likely.

Again the same sense of confusion and devastation in 2027 as in the other Russia chart with tr Neptune square the Pluto; plus more insecurity from shocks with tr Uranus opposition the Mars in 2027.
His 5th Term Presidency chart from 7 May 2024 looks to be failing significantly with tr Neptune conjunct the Mars late April to mid May 2027, September 2027 and March 2028.
His initial Presidency chart from 31 December 1999, which would be expected to flag up an exit is floundering this year; and unstable; with tr Pluto conjunct Neptune and Solar Arc Uranus square Pluto; with a blocked SA Pluto conjunct the Sun in 2027.
His natal chart, assuming 7 October 1952 is sound, has an ominous Progressed Mars still in orb of being conjunct his Noth Node and aiming to oppose his Pluto in 2027 which will exacerbate his sense of being totally trapped.

It looks like we have fascinating times ahead, Netanyahu is on his way out in Israel, to be followed by Donald Trump, and then Putin. Xi Xingping is also not going to last long thereafter. Pluto in Aquarius activation in July is definitely going to usher a new area of leaders. The world is looking forward to change, hopefully better times than what we are having now.
I have learnt to not hold my breath for any chances in Russia. However, the last couple of months have felt different.
Firstly, Ukrainian drone attacks repeatedly hitting oil terminals just 30-50 kilometers from a NATO country boarder and selected sites just outside Moscow. This is extremely embarrashing for the Russian Air Defence, really akin to a German hobbyist pilot Mathias Rust flying to Moscow in May 28th 1987.
Secondly, the internet shutdown. I honestly don’t think “Granpa Undies” and his siloviks understand how deeply this affects everybody under 50. I feel this is very much Alexei Navalny (who’d turn 50 next week) haunting the generation before him, his Gemini Sun/Venus trine Libra Pluto is currently hit by Saturn.
He’s got Saturn opposite his Sun for 3 consecutive months from June 2026 as it goes stationary retrograde. This coincides with the first Uranus square Mars for June 2026 in the Russia 1917 chart. So won’t be a great time for him either.
I’m always a bit suspicious of Putin’s natal chart, mainly because of the widespread stories some years ago that he was sold by an impoverished birth mother to his ‘official parents’ and that a woman subsequently came forward years later claiming to be that birth mother, after seeing him on television soon after he became President. She recognised him, she said, because he walked in exactly the same way as her young son – who she admitted selling to another family.
The transit of Saturn opposite his Sun will be there regardless of whether he was born 1952, or in 1950 which is when she claims he was born
@Xhane, yes, this figures! As a fellow Libra Sun on earlier degree, I must say I have never felt this invisible in many senses. It would be good to look at what happened during Vladimir Vladimirovich’s latest two oppositions. April 1996– Febuary 1999 would have been right when he rose in ranks at FSB and gained favour from Yeltsin. He also finished an Economy degree in St. Petersbourg. February 1967– April 1969 he would have been finishing school in Leningrad. His most trusted “bagmen”, Rotenberg Brothers and Gennady Timchenko are friends from this era.
