Ana de Armas – cruising along in style

Idle chatter has actor Tom Cruise romancing actress Ana de Armas as they have been seen multiple times together recently and gushed about each other’s talents in interviews. Though sources say they’re “just friends” who are working on projects together.

An uncomplimentary piece in the Telegraph raises eyebrows about how De Armas, whose cv of past movies is replete with duds and no-hopers, has come to attract hype about being the next big thing.  Her most recent Ballerina gets a one-star review, with her character described as “lethally dull” and the review remarks de Armas “simply isn’t good enough to animate this sock puppet”.

None of which amounts to a hill of peanuts but at least it isn’t politics.

She was born 30 April 1988 in Havana, Cuba and has a seriously determined Taurus Sun Jupiter opposition Pluto square Mars in Aquarius with a Libra Moon. Her Pluto is conjunct Cruise’s Neptune with her Mars conjunct his Saturn which does not sound a harmony-filled connection. Though her upbeat Sun Jupiter does fall in his 7th (assuming 3.06 pm birth time for him) which is positive partnership material.

Their relationship chart has a composite illusory Sun Mercury opposition Neptune square ? Moon; a cool workmanlike Venus opposition Saturn though a square to Uranus hints at tensions. Plus a high-vitality, enthusiasm filled Jupiter Mars conjunction opposition Pluto. That last could sail them along on a crest of a wave for a while before collapsing in acrimony.

  1. I noticed Tom Cruise has a Water Grand Trine of Sun in Cancer, Neptune in Scorpio, and Jupiter in ‘spiritual’ Pisces. He’s been devoted to the ‘Church of Scientology’ for years, so I checked the charismatic, controversial and elusive founder, L Ron Hubbard (13 March 1911, ADB). His personal story is beyond any Hollywood fantasy movie – spinning through pre 2nd WW hippie communes in California, Aleister Crowley, science fiction writing, and huge financial success. Like Tom Cruise, Hubbard has a Water Grand Trine – a Pisces Sun, Jupiter in Scorpio, and Neptune in Cancer.
AdA has her Pisces Moon’s Node conjunct LRH’s Pisces Sun. Her Taurus Jupiter is conjunct LRH’s Moon’s Node at 12 Taurus, and her Gemini Venus is conjunct Hubbard’s natal Pluto at 25 Gemini.
At a rough guess, I’d say this so-called religion or life philosphy is very much involved in their relationship.

  2. My jaded eyes squint and see PR, which the *Stars* and actual stars seem to support.

Regarding her Pluto conjunct Cruise’s Neptune and her Mars conjunct his Saturn not being a harmony-filled connection: it Does sound like a #goals & film, and purpose & work connection. To my rudimentary astro ears, anyway. Even the Sun Jupiter in his 7th could register on the Business Partnership side of that house.

This post also makes me wonder abt TC’s former marriages…once upon a time the boy wonder married Older. I’m blanking on his first wife’s name (sigh). And the Nicole marriage was real. Just curious if a comparison reveals anything (the way Brad P
and Jon H wife types showed similar trends) .

I can’t say I mind the foolery of fake
dating, as it’s very old Hollywood. Anything vintage helps blunt current rancid news. It also seems like an admission of some kind, Cruise w another young starlet, wink wink, just two insiders harmlessly scratching each other’s backs.

Oh Marjorie…. sometimes you catch me off guard and I just burst out laughing!
    This was funny!

A couple of weeks ago my husband and I went camping for 8 nights to a valley with NO cell coverage!! No phone calls, no texts, no emails and NO NEWS! For almost 9 days… what a fricking relief that was.

When we got home, it felt like we now had a buffer around us.
We still stay informed, however that break from the news was so beneficial.
Another trip planned in a week or so. Yay.
I highly recommend doing something like this!!

    Good for your soul.
    take care all.

    • Two cents and one Q:

I lost power for 3 days at my urban residence. Aside from having to toss fridge items, it was bliss. The silence and lack of electrical pulse felt healing.

      Q.
Did you retain emergency cell service? I would be concerned if help was needed and I was truly off the grid, wondering how you handled that aspect.
