Harold Evans was a shining light in UK journalism when he was editor of the Sunday Times in the 1970s, famously dragging the thalidomide scandal out into the open. He’s lived in the US for the past three decades, continuing to be influential in journalism and writing. He married Tina Brown in 1981, editor of Tatler, Vanity Fair and most recently the Daily Beast.
