Elizabeth Warren – a force for good

Elizabeth Warren

Elizabeth Warren, Democratic Senator, former lawyer and consumer protection advocate is being talked of as a potential VP for Hillary Clinton. She’d bring a much needed anti-Wall Street slant.

Born  22 June 1949, Oak Hill, OK, with a possible rectified time of 1.51pm, she’s an innovative Sun Uranus in Cancer in a sensible sextile to hard-working, meticulous Saturn in Virgo; with Jupiter trine Mars (Mercury) in Gemini. The Cancer Sun will tune her into the public mood and she’ll be a good communicator.

In addition she’s got a Yod of Saturn sextile Sun Uranus inconjunct Jupiter which has the potential to make her a force for good out in society. And the Solar Arc positions of that Yod put her Sun Uranus on HC’s MC (8.01am BT). So it might just be – stretching a point – that Hillary gives her the opportunity and platform that she needs to get her ideas across.

Her Saturn is also conjunct Hillary’s MC which will give gravitas and an element of practicality and common sense. EW’s Jupiter is square H’s Scorpio Sun which will be morale-boosting.  But it’s a very intense, slightly unsettling relationship with EW’s Sun Uranus in H’s 8th; and EW’s Taurus Moon square H’s Mars Pluto Saturn in Leo, so wouldn’t make EW feel that comfortable especially where HC’s 8th house issues are concerned – business finances etc.

The relationship chart does have an adventurous Jupiter opposition Uranus so at one level it might appeal. But there’s an exact composite Mars square Neptune which suggests an ego-mismatch, so when one succeeds the other feels diminished. Though having said that candidates don’t necessarily have to get on with their running mates since they are picked for reasons other than compatibility.

Just to be tricky on election day Elizabeth Warren has two contradictory influences.  One is tr Neptune square her Mars which is a definite lose-lose, panicky indicator.  The other is a ‘lucky break’ tr Pluto square Jupiter/Uranus which has been seen over election wins.

Other favourable influences: – If the rectified birth time is sound, then her Solar Arc Moon is just into her 10th and her Solar Arc Pluto is sitting on her Ascendant, both of which suggest prominence and influence. Plus tr Jupiter will be crossing her Ascendant just before the Inauguration which is also a confidence plus point.

So there are some encouraging signs but I’d still have  considerable worries about that tr Neptune square Mars.

  1. Marjorie,

It’s interesting that you brought up Elizabeth Warren. I like Elizabeth Warren and I would have absolutely no problem with Hillary Clinton picking her as her vice president. However, it seems unlikely this would happen. To begin with, Elizabeth Warren is the senior Democratic Senator of Massachusetts. If a senator steps down, dies, or whatever, the governor of that state gets to choose who fills the senate vacancy – this lasts a few months until a special senate election is held. Massachusetts has a Republican governor – Charlie Baker. The same people who are voting for Donald Trump are the same people who voted for Charlie Baker. That being said, if Elizabeth Warren were to take a VP position and leave the Senate, then Republican Governor Charlie Baker would obviously fill her Senate seat with a Republican. Hillary Clinton knows this, our Democratic Party knows this and Elizabeth Warren knows this. As of right now, the Republicans control the House and the Senate. This fall, we Democrats are probably going to take back the Senate (keeping fingers crossed) and that’s why we need to to keep as many of the “sitting senators” in the Senate too. People have suggested other Democratic senators like Cory Booker from New Jersey and Sherrod Brown from Ohio as possibly VP picks for Hillary too. I like Cory Booker and Sherrod Brown too – but again, they represent states that have Republican governors. So, it would be much too risky for Hillary to pick ANY “sitting senator” from ANY state. Anyway, another reason why I doubt Hillary Clinton will pick Elizabeth Warren is due to the “gender factor.” Personally, I have absolutely NO problem with a two woman ticket; I’m a strong Hillary Clinton supporter and if she picked another woman for the VP spot, I would happily accept that. In fact, I would love for either Elizabeth Warren, Maggie Hassan or Gina Raimondo to be Hillary’s VP. However, unfortunately, there is still a lot of sexism and misogyny in the United States. Just take a look at how the disgusting Donald Trump and supposedly *progressive* Bernie Sanders supporters have been treating Hillary Clinton. Look at how the supposedly *non-biased* media has been treating Hillary Clinton. All of them have disrespected Hillary Clinton. Sadly, I’ve even met women here in Florida who have told me they don’t believe a woman should ever be president because they think women are too “moody,” “emotional” and “unstable” at times. So, having two women on the ticket might be pushing it – because there’s still too many ignorant people in the U.S. All in all, as much as I would love for Elizabeth Warren to be Hillary’s VP, I just have a feeling that Hillary’s not going to pick her – there’s too many risks and too much at stake to do that. Personally, I think (and so do many fellow Hillary supporters) that Hillary is going to pick Julián Castro for VP. I really like Julián Castro and I would be just as happy with him. He would certainly be a good choice too. Julián Castro is currently serving as the United States Secretary of Housing and Urban Development in President Barack Obama’s cabinet. He’s not holding a congressional or senate seat (so no worries about vacancy), he’s from San Antonio, Texas – the South (Southern voters tend to prefer Southern candidates on the ballot and Hillary does want to win more Southern states) and he’s Latino (like me! And Hillary will might just attract more Latino voters in Florida [my state], Arizona, Utah, etc. to her side. Hillary will need strong support from African American, Asian American, Latino and women voters to win the general election). Anyway, I enjoyed reading your astrological post for Elizabeth Warren. Would it be possible to post something on Julián Castro too?

  2. A wonderful reading re Elizabeth Warren, Marjorie. I’m feeling a bit uplifted. Hope HC
makes the right choice. Thank you so much for your excellent work.
