Right on cue as transiting Uranus squares the UK Pluto, riots break out over the death of a white teenager stabbed by a young Sikh with a ‘religious’ knife, who initially claimed he has been racially attacked. The police handcuffed the dying man bleeding out on the road before sussing they had got it wrong. The killer has been given a life sentence.
All of which is sustenance to the far right who are already up in arms about immigration.
The UK Pluto at 2 degrees Pisces is super-sensitive being the apex planet of a yod inconjunct Uranus sextile Jupiter. Tr Uranus will repeat the square mid December to mid January 2027 and March 2027. Usually when a yod is triggered it shifts the individual/entity onto a new track, so this may be more than a one week wonder.

The generalized disquiet over immigration fanned by the political right and right-wing media flares up when there are atrocities like this one, the Southport killings and the grooming gangs scandals. Not improved by hapless, incompetent public services and governments.
Looking at the astrology, tr Pluto into and through the UK 4th could be a pointer to internal domestic tensions and mutinies – though that started in 2012 under David Cameron who attempted to tighten immigration. Perhaps that was when the groundswell started – worsening through Boris Johnson’s reckless lifting of immigration limits in 2021 – and tr Pluto will not move on until 2030.
Policing and other public services comes under 6th house and that UK chart area has been undermined by tr Neptune from 2015 till 2029.
If the shake up of the UK Pluto does not bring the beginnings of change, three other influences separately or together might. One is tr Uranus moving out of the 8th house of joint finances but more importantly deeper psychological patterns later this year which should bring to an end six years of instability.
Secondly the Solar Arc Pluto will bring the full weight of its yod-al position to bear conjunct the UK South Node at this year end into early 2027. Past issues need to be addressed, at best an overhaul of old patterns that are getting in the way of progress, old habits, belief systems, and emotional baggage abandoned. It can feel like a period of breaking free though countries can be highly resistant to self-discovery, so that may be a touch over hopeful.
Thirdly by 2028 the Solar Arc Sun will be conjunct the 11th house Saturn which rules the legislature which (cross fingers) will give Westminster an almighty dunt and could induce a modicum of sense into the hallowed chambers. Maybe.
On the bright side tr Jupiter moving through the 10th at the moment may bring a sporting success or two; and from this August for a year tr Jupiter through the 11th should bring a few rays of optimism.

David Betz, an in-vogue academic of the moment has looked at studies on social cohesion, civil war causation theory and social attitudes surveys. He argues that elite overreach (most recently Boris Johnson’s turbo-charging of immigration against the wishes of the electorate), factional polarization (Muslim v white nationalism), a collapse in trust, economic pressures, and the perceived downgrading of the majority population in a previously homogeneous society, are all present in contemporary Britain.
Mercifully he concludes ‘Britain is unlikely to reach phase three: the offensive phase. This is when the insurgent groups are strong enough to challenge government forces.’
Two astro-influences are eye-catching on the UK chart. The first is tr Pluto in Aquarius trine the UK Uranus in Libra, through 2024/25.
Previous Pluto in an Air sign; In Libra in 1971 for a conjunction with the UK Uranus – introduction of decimal currency, the first postal workers’ strike, and the start of the Open University.
Pluto in Gemini in 1882 – the beginning of the Anglo-Egyptian War. Attempt to assassinate Queen Victoria. The Married Women’s Property Act passed, granting women the right to own property.
Nothing too outstanding. What is much more to the point is tr Uranus moving to square the UK Pluto at 2 degrees Pisces picking up from June 2026 and running to April 2027.
Looking back at previous Uranus hard aspects to that Pluto – and the record is replete with riots.
Uranus Pisces conjunct the UK Pluto: In 1919, significant social and political upheaval in the aftermath of World War I – race riots in major port cities, widespread industrial unrest, and the lingering effects of the Spanish Flu pandemic.
Uranus in Pisces 2003 – most notably just as Uranus moved into Pisces, two million turned out on the streets in London to indicate their opposition to Tony Blair’s involvement in Iraq; and there were other widespread anti-war protests.
Uranus in Gemini square the UK Pluto: In 1858 – riots in Belfast, sparked by a procession following a funeral. The clashes between Protestants and Catholics involved stone-throwing and continued for several days, leading to a strong police presence. Additionally, there were incidents of machine-breaking and wage-related unrest in Kent and Sussex during the same period.
In 1941 – intense bombing raids during the Blitz. Rationing was introduced, and conscription expanded.
Uranus Sagittarius square the UK Pluto: 1981 the Toxteth riots in inner-city Liverpool, which arose in part from long-standing tensions between the local police and the black community. They followed the Brixton riot earlier that year and were part of the 1981 England riots.
In 1897 – protests related to women’s rights and vaccinations. The Cambridge protest, fueled by opposition to women receiving university degrees, involved the public mutilation of a woman on a bicycle effigy and celebrations with confetti, fireworks, and other items.
Uranus in Virgo opposition the UK Pluto:
In 1961 protests and racial tensions, but no large-scale riots. The Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND) organized marches, including one from Wethersfield to London.
In 1878 – the Bury and Blackburn riots, cotton mill workers’ protests over low wages, and the Bristol riots, triggered by the House of Lords rejecting the Reform Bill. The Bristol riots involved looting and burning of buildings, while the Bury and Blackburn riots saw workers attacking factories and homes.
On the basis of past experience 2026 looks to be a year when there will be social unrest and widespread demonstrations and possibly riots.
Belfast is now rather unsettled after the recent (rather grisly) beheading attempt.
Apparently the victim’s originally from Scotland, a longtime resident of Rathcool, the 47 year old was extremely vulnerable adult and hard of hearing. Well liked and cared for by his neighbours. Now also sightless and disfigured, if he survives.

Tr Neptune is now conjunct his Mars and will be on and off till late 2027 which is failure basically. Plus a jolting tr Uranus square his Saturn just finished but repeating into 2027 – and tr Saturn conjunct his Aries Sun also repeating into early 2027.
Apart from those obvious aspects I thought maybe Thomas might have spotted something else to indicate NF’s departure within 12 months, but thank you Marjorie.
I saw Jenrick being interviewed yesterday. He looked like a man who knows deep down inside that he’s made a colossal misjudgment having hitched his wagon to Reform. He has a Cardinal T-Square which will be triggered by Saturn this year and next. Oh well…

What struck me was the support/connivance of the killer’s family, father and brother, who are now up on charges along with him of owning a cache of weapons, including a flick knife, an extendable baton, knuckle dusters, a machete, Japanese kusaris, and swords. I can’t remember whether it was here or the US when the father/family were charged after a youngster ran amok with a family gun. The Southport killer also had a family who stayed schtum when he ought to have been reported/taken into care with violent tendencies obvious way before – plus hapless social services.
Difficult I know but there usually are signs well beforehand that should/could have been acted on.
Not just the father and brother, but also very much the mother who grabbed the knife, ran home and tried to hide it.
A bit of the Asian value. In Taiwan, family members who harbour criminals are exempted from prosecution from the harbouring law just because they are family. There is like 5 degrees of family members.

Sagitarius always seems to feature when the spotlight is on immigration/religon or similar. In this case, police diversity training apparently made officers feel controlled and pressured to act in a certain way. Training, and race relations feels so Sagitarius.

Yes, probably due to the perpetrator first saying he was racially attacked and pretending to be the victim. However, I thought I read that the actual victim said during the arrest that he had been stabbed and the officer said no you hadn’t (or words to that effect)? That part doesn’t have anything to do with diversity training as common sense would say check the arrestee before negating what he said? Or maybe I read wrong.
All you have said Jennifer is what has been reported. My point is that the full moon (bringing to the surface) in Saggitarius – themes of religion, race relations and training (police and diversity), plays a strong part in this sorry and beyond tragic, event.

This despicable killing was committed on 3 December 2025 yet we are only really getting wind of it now the cowardly killer has been sentenced.

The perpetrator’s family claimed he was part of the nihang warrior group. (This has been disputed by members of nihang Sikh sect who said he was a fake). He had been reported to the police before by his local temple for apparently stealing knives but no action was taken. On the 3rd December 2025 Mars in Sagittarius (religious fighter?) was square the Saturn Neptune conjunction in Pisces. The Sun was close to the fixed star Antares which is linked to rash martial energy and “sudden ruination”.
Yes, the victim said, “I’ve been stabbed,” and the male officer replied, “Yeah, I don’t think you have, mate.” He didn’t even check for stab wounds which is insane to me! Apparently, the female officer showed a bit more concern but obviously not enough.
It’s the cold, dismissive, lack of concern for the cuffed man on the floor over the guy playing victim of racial abuse. I think it’s likely, if there’s any justice in this world, which is thin on the ground right now, that the book will be thrown harder at the male officer.
Sagittarius has 9th House associations which are associated with performative expressions of beliefs be it in religious practice or the way the law works. The police seem to have done what they thought they were required to do according to their training rather than thinking about their actions. Ironically it appears the very rules designed to control conflict around race and religious practice are now found to be exacerbating it. The state has gone from recognising cultural differences between groups to mandating it legally. In this respect it is now trending down the same sort of path that led to apartheid, segregation and all the things associated with these ideas. It is no surprise that both the perpetrator and the victim in this case were born with Pluto in Sagittarius and were in some ways living out its influence. Incidentally the actual murder happened on 3rd December 2025 when Neptune was retrograde at 29 Pisces conjunct Scheat a degree it occupied when the current government was elected. Scheat tends to encourage stubborn and headstrong combative behaviour with highly unpredictable and changeable results

Just under one Pluto Return ago, were the 1780 anti-Catholic Gordon Riots in London, and a further Pluto Return prior, was the 1536 Pilgrimage of Grace, a protest by Catholics against the break of the CoE from Rome.
There is something about Pluto in very early Aquarius that appears to trigger religious riots in England at the very least.
I am tempted to read the UK chart more narrowly as relating only to the unions and relationships of the UK with Scotland and Northern Ireland.
