  1. Where I live, people seem to have put up more festive lighting outside their homes. This Solstice/Hanukkah/Christmas season seems to be embraced more fully this year. It’s a nice break and I’m enjoying it. Best wishes to each of you in this community.

And Marjorie. You are a Force! This little corner of the web offers so much. Yes, primarily astrology, but also expressions of frustration, of fears, of hope and of healing. Your succinct posts and your delightful dry humour makes my day! Thank-you so very much for this.

And thank-you for our Pluto exchange awhile back…. very kind of you.

This past year we have enjoyed our new, across the hall, neighbours… a youngish couple from Iran. They are making their way in a new country, a new language, and now.. Christmas!!! It is not their celebration, however, I see a lovely small, gold snowflake star hanging from their door!

It made my heart burst open!

    • Happy Holidays and Seasons Greetings, Marjorie! Thank you for all your interesting posts on current events and other fascinating subjects. I look forward to your daily astrological musings and insights. Wishing you a calm and joyful 2024.

  2. Thank you to Marjorie and all the staff who work hard all year to make this website an interesting and informative read. I’m hooked

    Happy Christmas

  3. Happy Christmas (or whatever you celebrate) — we celebrate a very secular Catmas in honor of our little feline family — to you, Marjorie, and all the knowledgeable commenters here. I learn something new every time I visit this site and especially appreciate the broad range of knowledge and insight you share with us and the similarly knowledgeable and insightful readers you attract who share their expertise with us. And thank you, too, for tolerating this astrological ignoramus who’s eager to learn and understand more about the field.

Happy Holidays to all and many we all enjoy a saner, more settled and less chaotic year in 2024.

  4. Merry Christmas, Marjorie, and thanks once again for a brilliant website that has helped me greatly throughout most of Pluto’s tortuous trawl through Capricorn in the last 15 years. Hoping for positive changes as he finally departs.

  5. Re your Saturnian Midheaven: we readers are the beneficiaries of your disciplined striving towards your dedicated career goals, Marjorie!

  6. Happy holidays Marjorie and fellow commenters!

Thank you for your work and thoughts, Marjorie. As a fellow journalist, I really appreciate how you weave international relations and foreign policy into astrological interpretations.

    merry Christmas!

  7. Thank you for your one of a kind perspective on personal and transpersonal context for life’s mysteries.
And thanks to the fellow commenters for often enlightening additions!
Merry Happy Greetings to one and all!

  8. Many thanks for all your kind comments. It is reassuring to know it helps – and frankly it helps me as well since it focuses my mind on finding an astrological context for the raging chaos out in the collective. It is really great and reassuring to have such a knowledgeable and supportive community.
I started it on a whim – heavens sixteen years ago – because I got irritated with the forum I was on which was dominated by a couple of ranting bullies.
And having looked up the start-chart (23 January 2007 10.16 pm Port Vendres, France) it is highly Aquarian – Sun, Chiron, Mercury, Neptune, Venus in Aquarius all in the entertaining 5th house. With Uranus conveniently sitting beside the North Node in the working 6th in an adventurous square to Jupiter in the journalistic 3rd house. And a darker Pluto Mars in the 4th square an Aries Moon – perhaps hinting at an interest in family and relationship dysfunction.
To Rohana – I like working hard. Too much Saturn, I fear, on my midheaven like the late lamented Queen Elizabeth – though that is the only similarity.

  9. Brilliant work Marjorie! I really enjoy your insights and appreciate your common sense, knowledge and hard work. Best wishes for a happy Christmas to you and the readers.

  10. Marjorie: I’ve been following you for at least 10 years. Here’s to another 10! Wishing you and my fellow followers a happy holiday and beautiful 2024.

  18. Many thanks, Marjorie, for sharing her insights and to all: many blessings! I draw strength and comfort from this quote of Tommy Douglas — Scottish-born pastor, politician, father of Canada’s health care system and voted Greatest Canadian — “Courage my friends; ’tis not too late to build a better world”.

  19. Merry Christmas everyone, and thank you so much Marjorie for everything you post, and for helping make some sense of a crazy world. Yes, here’s hoping for a much happier year to come!

“Years and years ago, when I was a boy, when there were wolves in Wales, and birds the color of red-flannel petticoats whisked past the harp-shaped hills, when we sang and wallowed all night and day in caves that smelt like Sunday afternoons in damp front farmhouse parlors, and we chased, with the jawbones of deacons, the English and the bears, before the motor car, before the wheel, before the duchess-faced horse, when we rode the daft and happy hills bareback, it snowed and it snowed. But here a small boy says: ‘It snowed last year, too. I made a snowman and my brother knocked it down and I knocked my brother down and then we had tea.’
Dylan Thomas, A Child’s Christmas in Wales, 1952

    • Thank you for sharing that quote! My cousin has an audio recording on cassette tape.

The most beautiful voice, Dylan Thomas (what Astro marker for him, specifically…?)

I MUST ask her if I could pay for dubbing and then put the recording in digi format( I think dubbing is the correct term…?)

      Thank you, @Jane
