What does the GOP future portend as an effective and forward-looking political party in the US? Certainly, looking at the individual players (Trump, MTG, and all the others in the cast) one can grasp the individual influences. Is there any chance Princess Mako will break off her inappropriate engagement to her very sketchy fiance who seems mostly after her money and status? More alarming and lurid details of his family are coming out, but she seems intent on marrying him. Very sad.
I cannot understand why the UK didn’t instigate a British Isles pact that allowed free trade and free movement of people in the British Isles that superceded anything that the EEC/EU had on board and couldn’t be stopped. That would have meant that the Northern Ireland Protocol wouldn’t have been invented as a means to trip us up.

There is already free movement of people within the Common Travel Area, that covers all the British Isles (Great Britain, the whole of Ireland, the Isle of Man and both Channel Island jurisdictions).
Indeed, at the moment, the best passport to hold is Irish, as it has freedom of movement in both the CTA (so an Irish citizen has the same rights as a British citizen within the UK) and the EU (Irish citizens are EU citizens).
As for free trade, it is unlikely as Ireland benefits greatly from being a member of the EU. Ireland’s low taxes within the EU means that many companies have their EU headquarters there for a reason.

Norway has a stable economy with an extensive social safety net. The country is richly endowed with natural resources such as oil and gas, fish, forests, and minerals.
