Neptune Pluto – clairvoyance, mysticism and AI

The merging of Neptune and Pluto in their midpoint over the next three years with Uranus in square could plausibly have several different outcomes.

Neptune Pluto in the scientific field in the past has introduced telephones, and advanced electricity, radio waves, X-rays – all intangible, incorporeal inventions. With high tech Uranus adding its trailblazing qualities this time round, perhaps the exploding AI race could also come under its banner.

The side of Neptune Pluto which interests me more is its association with the supernatural, and mysticism which is a form of direct contact with the beyond. Those born under the Neptune Pluto conjunction in Taurus/Gemini in the latter part of the 19th Century were the ones who embraced spiritualism after World War One in an effort to connect with the loved ones they had lost.

Not just spiritualism but also clairvoyance comes under the banner of Neptune Pluto.  To name but a few below.

Edgar Cayce 18 March 1877 3.20pm Hopkinsville, KY, US, had his Taurus Moon conjunct his Neptune/Pluto midpoint. Since his Moon was in an Earth Grand Trine to Mars and his South Node, as well as sextile his Saturn – it was a key placing.

John Edward, 19 October 1969 10 am New York, had his Sun conjunct his Neptune/Pluto midpoint.

Dion Fortune 6 December 1890 2.11 am Llandudno, Wales, was born with the Neptune Pluto conjunction in Gemini conjunct her North Node and opposition her Sun Venus.

Alaister Crowley had his Mercury opposition his Neptune/Pluto midpoint.

Nostradamus 14 December 1503 JC St Remy de Provence, France had his North Node square his Neptune/Pluto conjunction, fitting for the great predictor, even if many of his utterances were wrapped in riddles.

Of the early mystics – Meister Eckhart and St Teresa of Avila – as well as Scottish John Napier, an alchemist and astrologer – all had Uranus in hard aspect to their Neptune/Pluto midpoint.

We may be moving into even more intriguing times than we had anticipated.

  1. I have Neptune conjunction the MC, almost exact sextile to Pluto, and also have experienced many, many non-physical spiritual occurrences throughout my life.

  2. I have Pluto sextile Neptune almost to exact degree. Have had some profound and meaningful spiritual experiences at home in the US and much more deeply moving and more profound abroad (8th house stellium). But don’t know how to incorporate these into daily life since they were ephemeral.

  3. @Gilly, if I remove the words of “social justice warriors” what is left is still people having an agenda to push for better or for worst. Some of those in Trump close circles from what I have gleaned from media all have their own agenda and wanted to pass some laws or Whatever to further their own interest, again for better or worst. The far right also have an agenda which is why people stood behind them and supported them.

  4. I have Jupiter exact (0 degree orb) on the Neptune Pluto midpoint. Not sure if it is great. Jupiter amplifies the energies. (Many people will share the same midpoint as it comes around in cycles).

  5. I don’t know if anyone has any thoughts about many of us alive having Pluto-Neptune sextile in our natal charts? This is unusual because due to Pluto’s irregular orbit there are long periods where there’s no-one born with any natal aspect between them.

For example the conjunction lasted about a decade from 1885-1895; but from 1895-1940 no-one had a natal aspect. The sextile began in 1940 and lasted for the next five decades until 1995. Then it went out of orb for about twenty and has come back into orb in 2018 and will begin to phase out again in the late 2030s. After that it’ll the be 2080s before the trine (Leo Neptune – Aries Pluto) begins to take effect again.

    • I find the no one have any aspect part from 1895 to 1940 kind of interesting. World War1 ended in 1918, and ww2 started in 1939 (German), Japan in 1941. Depression in USA was in 1923.

      • Actually it’s even more pronounced than that. The sextile preceding the conjunction took place in the 1840s (Aqua Neptune – Aries Pluto).

So there is a whole generation born between 1850 and 1940 who have no aspect between Neptune & Pluto – with the exception of those born around 1885-95 with the conjunction.

And then, as per my original post, most of us born 1940 – 2035 will have a sextile present in our charts (exception 1995-2018)

Caveat – I’ve used a 6 degree orb for the sextile and just glanced through the ephemeris for rough estimation of years.

        • 1995-2018. That seems to equate to Generation Z, in the UK anyway. They seem to have lost connection and inclusion in society. Lack of education (Covid) and employment, not in education or employment, pathways in life. My son and some of his friends were born late 1995. So, interesting that they are all somehow not with us that much.

          • You know I agreed with you. I tend to “scroll” online forums and I seen like young men 18-20 complained about girls being “feminists” when they failed to hook up or get a girlfriend. And that victim hood and entitlement..And then the girls side in this age group is totally heartbreaking. They just wanted to date and have fun time then they ended up getting groped then get called names just because they refused sex. It is like feminist is now a dirty word. What happened to our body our right.

          • This is a response to Callie S above.

Many words have been redefined away from their original purpose in the past few years. Words like “queer” and “gay”, which were seen as negative a few decades ago, are now a badge of pride.

Conversely, “woke” was initially a positive word, that one was conscious of the shortcomings of the past, but now is used in a negative way. Likewise also DEI.

Similarly, feminism is seen by guys as not only the right to say no, but for No to be the default on everything to do with them, from sex to long-term relationships to having children. So, from their point of view, it is literally a loud, continuous, unchanging negative (Noooo!!!).

          • But if almost everyone alive right now (1940 – 1995 and 2018 to today) has this sextile, it doesn’t fit, that we should all be ‘social justice warriors’. Trump and all his coterie – most of his voters too – will have the sextile. Everyone on the European hard right too.

    • The sextile between these two planets occurs every 500 years, is always seeded by the conjunction and, as Neptune moves forward, the sextile comes into being. In our era, it will last until the 2040s, when it will drift apart to form a square.

In 1398, there was also a Neptune/Pluto conjunction in Gemini. This, as it separated eventually formed a sextile by the mid-1400s, which synchronised with the development of the printing press and the huge rise in global navigation thus changing significantly the map of the known world. The fall of Constantinople in 1453 saw an exodus from Byzantine to Europe, bringing with it classical texts which were to influence the Renaissance. Its shadow side in this period was the enslavement of Africans by Portugal, so it brought horror and oppression for the people who lived in those parts of the world which were colonised.

Similarly the Islamic Golden Age of Islam in 950 AD as well as the Carolingian Renaissance was seeded by the 906 AD conjunction of Neptune/Pluto in Taurus. The Islamic world produced radical developments in Mathematics, medicine and astronomy which were to go on to influence European learning and integrated into European academia. Plus there was rise of the Holy Roman Empire under Otto I who was crowned in 962.

The sextile of these two planets occurrs every 500 years and lasts for 100 years, during these periods in history we can see how it speeds up the development of knowledge, both academic and technological. The patterns the outer planets form in our sky have powerful effects on our development as a species. These conjunctions of the two planets are harbingers of future development – they are predictive and ‘clairvoyant’ in themselves.

      • Thanks VF for the detailed summary. I suppose computers would be considered the result of this time around especially with the conjunction having fallen in Gemini

    • You know I came across this information today that 2008 had a decrease birth rate in USA. And it is impacting university enrollment in USA and also places like Taiwan. I haven’t really go and dig where else are impacted by the low birth rate. But the no aspect between Pluto and Neptune might just coincide with low birth rate years. It is all very interesting. Sadly I have have time now currently to go down that rabbit hole.

I have Uranus conjunct my Neptune-Pluto midpoint. That should explain my interest and presence on this site 🙂

How should one interpret such a conjunction/opposition/hard aspect in a synastry chart (and also in a composite chart)?

    • Uranus keeps us grounded amidst boundaryless Neptune merging with pluto of deceased beings and darkness.

In synastry, it gives fatedness sense due to pluto and telepathy of Neptune but doesn’t let illusions and darkness prey as insecurities
