Joe Biden – raging against the dimming light

Joe Biden is receiving radiation therapy for his prostate cancer that was diagnosed in May as an “aggressive form” that had spread to his bones. At the time multiple oncologists said that given the nature of his cancer and the fact that it had already metastasized, it was possible that affliction had gone undiagnosed for years (which seems unlikely?). In 2023, while still in office, he had a skin lesion removed during a routine physical exam that was later found to be cancerous.

I don’t normally like doing health related predictions except in this instance where there was a good deal at stake.

Going back to 2023, transiting Pluto started to square his 5th house Taurus Moon – which could have referred to family/children challenges involving Hunter, his son, and his court cases. But the Moon also rules the body so there was a possibility of problems.

His 6th house of health has tr Uranus moving in from 2021 and staying until 2026, which need not point to a health condition but that plus his Progressed Moon moving into his 6th a few months back would certainly be an escalating series of cautionary indicators. Especially since tr Uranus through his 6th started to oppose his 12th house Scorpio stellium of Mars, Mercury, Sun, Venus from 2021 onwards right through till next spring which suggests a long series of stresses, some of which could be physical.

In addition tr Pluto began to trine his 10th house Neptune from early 2024 onwards hinting at confusion and devastation on the career front. It was in place over the disastrous TV presidential debate in late June which led to calls for his resignation which came a month later when tr Pluto had reversed to square his Moon for the second time.

His Solar Returns for 2022 and 2023 both had 6th house flags raised – which is not necessarily definitive since Solar Returns can be iffy but taken all together, it had not been looking great for quite a while.

His Solar Arc Pluto also started to oppose his Moon six months ago, staying in effect for another few months.

The point of this exercise is not to plot his illness but to see why the astrological predictions running into the last election were met with such resistance. Joe Biden had become so idealised by the Democrats that nothing that could be construed as criticism was allowed. And the Trump fear was such that any hint of Biden not winning created a hostile backlash. Neither of which helps to achieve clarity when juggling with the intangibles and variable possibilities in political or any other kind of prediction.

Biden’s obstinacy – Sun, Venus, Mercury and Mars in Scorpio; Mars square Pluto in Leo; and a Taurus Moon – did him no favours and the USA even less.

  1. I think I may be the only one who wanted Biden to stay in the race and be reelected. President
Biden got far more things right than wrong. He shepherded through legislation to help with green technology, restore our infrastructure, and make our economy more competitive for the 21st century. He built a coalition to help Ukraine defend itself, understanding that America as well as Europe benefited from opposing Putin’s belligerence. And he modeled decency and modesty as a human being. I am very proud that Governor Newsom felt the same way. (My astrology today said I’d pontificate.)

  2. Here is Biden’s biwheel for the day he was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer.
There are 2 indicatos for the prostate, 3 indicators for cancer and 5 indicators for
prostate cancers. All these indicators were named after the men who studied the
prostate and prostate cancer. Enlarge biwheel with magnifier.

  3. Apologies for the lack of astrology, but during the funeral of Jimmy Carter while Biden was still president and all the living presidents were present at Washington Cathedral, I had the strong sense that Trump would be the next to go. I still have that sense. Biden may have an aggressive cancer but Trump looks and sounds increasingly awful and behaved more and more erratically.

    • @ Nicole,

It’s interesting that you say that because many Tarot readers (and I’m very skeptical of most online Tarot readers – only a few that I follow) keep pulling bad cards for Trump. Also, some astrologers are insinuating the same thing. I suppose only time will tell if any of these readings manifest in Trump leaving office.

I’m not sure if you’re familiar with Edgar Cayce (my Mother has read all of his books and she even went to Virginia Beach to visit the Cayce museum) but he was a clairvoyant who lived from 1877 to 1945. Many of his predictions for the future have been accurate.

I recently discovered that he made a predictions that sometime in the future the U.S. would elect a President out of chaos and that person would be a “builder” (Trump was elected out of chaos and he was in real-estate) but this person would not complete their time in office.

I wonder (and hope) if this will actually manifest.

      • @Chris, yes, I’m very familiar with Edgar Cayce. I grew up in Virginia and anyone who was sensitive was aware of his readings. I read a lot of his books years ago.

I too follow several political tarot readers, several of whom are also I consider responsible — my favorites are Maryann @Revealing Light Tarot &.Astrology, Libby @Maighstir Tarot, Lena Rodriguez of Lena Down Under (all Australians I find soothing whose knowledge and understanding of American politics is utterly amazing) and the American Trevor of Scrying Out Loud — all of whom see Trump’s departure from the political scene in the coming months either through ill health or removal from office because of his increasingly erratic and dangerous behavior linked to his dementia.

I still think Biden will survive him.

    • @Nicole Sour Larsen, some days on: Trump went to a monologue on whether anything is getting him to heaven on the way to Israel. He is talking about dying a lot for a perfectly healthy 79 year old. My father is turning 75 in couple of weeks. His chart is similar in many ways to Biden’s, and he has had similar challenges (my mother dying, a child battling addiction), he also is a practising Lutheran and thus has faith, but he is certainly not thinking or talking about dying. It might be that Scorpio/8th house/Pluto people think about their own mortality a lot, while a bombastic personalities like Trump never give much of a thought to it before their late 70s, but still…

  4. Of course, you could think this was all inevitable – in the cosmic script! That Trump (or someone like him) was ‘needed’ for the reshaping of the US and its future. And I do not use the term ‘reshaping’ in what many would consider a positive sense. Pluto may have to effectively demolish, before rebuilding can commence.

  5. I agree with @Chris Romero, and wish Biden recovery and peace. No, he wasn’t perfect, but his administration did a lot of good, and he genuinely tried to serve the country. It was such a blessed relief when he won in 2020, and the contrast to the current horror couldn’t be starker.

Any astrological predictions concerning the health of the current occupant of the Oval Office? Perhaps there is soon to be light at the end of that particular tunnel? Surely Biden isn’t the only elderly POTUS facing his own mortality.

  6. Joe Biden was a good President while it lasted. Many Americans don’t realize just how good they had it. Well, they might after Trump and his crew are done wrecking everything.

Many of us assumed Pluto going into Aquarius was going to bring the progressive era we yearned for…but I guess Pluto has first force us to let go things we no longer need. So, there must be a cosmic reason Trump continues to plague us.

Anyway, I wish President Biden well. Hopefully his cancer can be contained enough for him to live a decent life.

    • Chris, as you probably know, Trump was re-elected in November last year with Pluto at 29 Capricorn. Although he was inaugurated with Pluto in Aquarius in January, the election itself was the catalyzing foundation for the current regime.

I do think we are seeing events play out in a manner that suggests the “overripe” and overreaching nature of the Capricorn Pluto energies at work, though it’s hard to imagine that either Biden or Harris in office now would have remotely gone about things as Trump has been behaving.

As destructive as the current period is, I think–and have to hope–that the US will eventually see the better side of Aquarius take hold. It also seems that people need to learn and appreciate who really has the power. Such a realization may be a tough sell for a highly individualist population, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t necessary.

  7. Sometimes the treatment can have a more devastating outcome than the disease itself. I have lost two friends in this way: one who was ‘cured’ of his lung cancer but whose immune system was so compromised that he died of pneumonia within months of being given the ‘all clear’ and another whose prostate cancer treatment resulted in a massive brain aneurysm. A man (one week older than myself) who had been a keen skier and fitness devotee. To this day, I can hardly comprehend what happened to them, both dear friends from my theatre days… This is what they euphemistically describe as “complications arising from..” .I hope I am wrong but I do wonder if Biden will still be among us at the end of the year, especially given the reported progression of the disease. The difficulty with any kind of prediction, of course, being the almost impossible task of remaining detached.

  8. None of ‘the people’ wanted Biden as the candidate – he had promised to be a one term president. But the DNC and his ‘team’ forced him upon us. Moreover they refused to prepare Kamala during her 4 years as VP. Maybe she wasn’t the right candidate- but the American people were forced into Biden and then Kamala- the voters were not given a choice. I have family in friends that work in government in DC- the behind the scenes when he was coming to terms with not being able run was never about giving the American people a say. But now we have a fascist, and our country is broken at least he is very good at getting things done. Which maybe means we will get the message and learn the cracks in the system to have checks and balances that can’t be taken advantage of by a charlatan. Or we will wallow for a long time, never coming to terms with who we are or what we have done bc if we can’t teach our history we will never understand who we are. The Germans were able to do it, I hope one day we will too.
