Anti-vaxxers are falling out of favour in the USA with infection rates spiralling and even the Republicans have now gone into fast reverse on the subject. But there are still a hard-core of fanatical activists, in the UK and France as well, objecting vociferously to being told what to do, as they see it.
What is striking about four of the top screamers – Robert F Kennedy Jnr, Christiane Northrup, Joseph Mercola and UK’s Piers Corbyn – is how similar their charts are. Sun in hard aspect to Uranus for a contrary, rebellious and uncooperative streak. An afflicted angry Mars most often in aspect to Pluto, so hyper-sensitive to being bullied because of childhood experiences though, au naturellement, that’s what they turn in. And Uranus Neptune hard aspects which can give a fanatical streak and a tendency to hang on to batty ideas even when all the evidence points against their beliefs.

There may also be an element of jumping on a bandwagon to grab the spotlight but a goodly chunk of it is venting their rage against an unfair world/daddy/big government and this just happens to be a convenient issue for them to sink their teeth into. Millions have received the vaccines successfully with little or no side effects. This fact makes me think they are safe, effective and necessary. Being individualistic isn’t worth much if you die or have long haul/permanent issues. Don’t want the vaccine? Fine just stay away from everyone else.
I read recently that Astra-Zeneca did a deal with the UK government to produce the vaccine on the condition that they could never be sued. Has anybody else read about this?
Do pharmaceutical companies have astrological charts? It does seem quite ominous. Would Pfizer and Moderna have the same deal? Is that what the future holds: buy our medicines on the conditions that we can’t be held to account!

Pluto in capricorn may be breaking down old structures but I have yet to be convinced that pluto in aquarius is going to be about personal or collective freedom. I think if we want to hang onto our freedom we will have to ditch our devices and become more self-reliant and community minded. I know I thought that pluto in scorpio would bring medical advances but it brought us HIV and Aids. I thought pluto in sagitarius would bring a broadening of people’s outlook but it brought religious and political fundamentalism. I agree, SuHu. I also don’t believe that Pluto in Aquarius is going to bring about any kind of Utopia. Apart from anything else we are facing the challenge and inevitable upheaval of climate change. The French Revolution, one of the children of the last ‘Pluto in Aquarius’ began with high ideals of equality and egalitarianism and ended in a bloodbath.

Just to reinforce Marjorie’s observation that Uranus/Neptune is involved in these ranters of modern times, I was amazed to discover that in the year 1649, there was a Uranus/Neptune conjunction in Sagittarius.
It sounds all so bloody grim. Surely, there will be some good come out of Pluto going through the signs? I thought Pluto moving into a sign starts off with great intentions and as it moves beyond half way things go awry. Then towards it’s end it clears things out? Or is that too simplistic? If Pluto in Aquarius is going to harbour in a China-style surveillanced world with strict controls on our lives and freedom and we struggle in a dystopian landscape, then it also does kind of validate the conspiracy theorists decades belief that the elite will control us all ultimately. It’s so damn depressing. I really don’t want to come back to this toilet planet for as long as we have this toxic male energy still in place ruling and ruining things for the future of humanity.
We’ve always been ruled by elites though and have always had conspiracies regarding the true intentions of elites. There’s nothing new about that. But conspiracy theory is dangerous when it appoints scapegoats (and it usually does) and history has shown us just what can happen when conspiracy theory is validated by elected rulers (see The Protocols of the Elders of Zion – interestingly a Russian fake document – and how it fuelled the collective persecution of the Jews/ in the USA, Trump validating QAnon leading to the Capitol Hill insurrection and the threat of Far Right terrorism.)
There have always been in whichever time we live in, potential dangers and threats to nations by other nations. I’m not trying to minimise the threat of corporate or national spyware or the technological invasion of our privacy, which I believe we should be continuing to watch like hawks and monitor, but I don’t necessarily envisage a terrifying future ahead of us. Humankind has overcome great obstacles and, without wanting to sound too Pollyannaish, will continue to do so. There are many challenges ahead, but there is hope – we see societal advances being made, albeit slowly, and we are ultimately free to choose to make the changes in our own lives that we would like to see in the world.
Having said all that, Jo I’m none too keen to get lumbered with yet another gruelling lifetime on this ball of rock either.

Here’s a report about a big demonstration against the smallpox vaccinations in Leicester, in March 1885. Uranus at 1 Libra, conjunct Moons NN at 4 Libra, was trine Pluto at 0 Gemini conjunct Chiron. So there’s the rebellious crowds of Uranus/Nodes, plus the depth of Pluto and Chiron, communicating who knows what? Neptune was 20 Taurus, Saturn around 17 Gemini.

VF and Jo – I think it could be interesting to see what is transformed with Pluto in Aquarius. And while I think we face an era of potential widespread fanaticism and internet-based crime and surveillance, I also think some positive, even global, humanitarian/ecological movements should emerge. Pluto was the lord of buried treasure, as well as the lord of the underworld. If Aquarius is the only “human” sign, then possibly we may experience things that test our humanity. I see much in this global pandemic as a kind of test run in a way – wonderful kindness and dedication to help others from some human beings….and, erm, the opposite!

I would just like to say that originally I was dead keen to take the Astra Zeneca Vaccinations. , but advice from various people in the medical profession and my own son’s experience convinced me otherwise.
A friend whose clinic was taking those who immune systems would have been compromised had they stayed in hospital told me that one of her co-workers had tested positive for Covid-19 after having been vaccinated against it. Some months later she still had it. The sad fact is that the medical people on the front line are just not being listened to. But the propaganda exercise is. If they come up with a vaccine I can take, I will do it. I just won’t risk myself on the ones that could do me serious harm.

Just to say that I was talking to a UK medic yesterday. He works in a hospital in the UK. They currently have 45 people on their Covid ward, including a number of young people, all not very well and none vaccinated. One woman said she’d not wanted the AZ vaccine because of fear of blood clots – yet Covid has given her blood clots and a whole load of other problems too. There is one person in the hospital who has tested positive for Covid but who isn’t sick – a 90 yr old man who’s been double vaccinated, and is in hospital for other health reasons. Covid is not affecting him at all.
We are going from Conservatism to Liberalism (2020-2024). Time to stop clinging to the past, time to stop relying on Governments, these old fossils, men in suits do not care about the people. The past, convention, and old-fashioned tried-and-true ways, even the monarchy is on its way out – Posters are going up as we speak to remove these people. Young people get it, many old do, but still, others are not awake and still brainwashed by the corrupt mainstream media. When Pluto finally leaves Capricorn and shifts into Aquarius in a few years, that’s when people will be free of restrictions and look back at this time as a long distant nightmare. Aquarius longs for a better and more exciting future. All humans are equal, no one is more superior than the other and no one should call others out for having their own views.

Until the age of 66 I avoided any flu vaccine, et cetera, because I joked “My immune system needs to earn its keep”. Now I have much more sympathy for it.
I accepted the Moderna vaccine because of the people I love. My 94 year old Aunt with whom I spend a lot of time. My best friend with end-stage liver disease. Several housebound senior friends I shop for.
If I were to cause their illness or death as a carrier, I think the guilt would be the end of me. They have all accepted the vaccine so I should be good for a little while longer.

I think for me the scary thing about reading some of these posts is that we have forgotten that in a democratic society with the concept of so called free speech, which most grew up on, we are all entitled to be honest about our views on this subject matter, pertaining to this post. There appears to be a them or us mentality which is divisive and doesn’t allow true interaction globally. Such a shame.
How I see it, is if we all talk we can understand the why of the anti-vaxxer and vaxxer. Regardless of our personal affiliation, it’s about sharing. I don’t think most individuals who decide not to take it are truly in the anti-vaxxer camp, they are just a little fearful because they don’t know enough. That shouldn’t take anything away from the vaxxer who has bought into the whole thing. If anything they should educate then. So it doesn’t make sense to me that people would make them feel like they are renegade as opposed to making them understand.
Pandemics have been part of human existence before the records of time, so because we now know more in our time makes us more special. However, also, resistance to something new has also been a part of human existence going way way back. So what is happening today may be unusual to us, but actually not unusual to human existence and our ancestors got through it all and we will too!! Point blank.

Jennifer, In theory yes but within limits. For example: A doctor friend said he had started to refuse radio interviews some years back since the media liked to set up arguments – flossing your teeth is good for versus a nutjob who would argue flossing your teeth is bad.
And many years ago I worked for a TV company that was obsessed with balance to the extent that when I made a documentary on the ‘desaparecidos’ who were tortured and killed in Argentina, I was instructed to ‘balance’ the piece by finding a pro-government spokesman who could give the other side. Eventually I did find a business man who shamefacedly muttered some fatuous excuse and that seemed to fit the bill.
Even handedness between sense and nonsense or between good and evil isn’t a great idea. Though admittedly it’s tricky to draw the line in some instances.
I think there’s an epidemic of false equivalence which is really very damaging. A theory based on fear and conspiracy or one that comes from a self-styled guru on YouTube is simply not equivalent to that which is based in scientific and medical expertise and which is demonstrably effective.
@Virgoflake, I get all that but the average person in the street talking on the bus, in a shop or to their neighbours isn’t gonna quote scientific fact. Maybe medical expertise if personally affected, but mostly media and pass on other chat whether accurate or not.

Born in the mid-50s myself I too have many of these aspects. I have been labelled ‘intense’ and ‘difficult to work with’, qualities which as a freelance have stood me in good stead. I know I don’t like to be hemmed in but I have also learned to choose my battles. Personally I think this whole anti-vax issue is just another expression of the excessive tribalism that we are seeing everywhere. People latch onto a cause in order to feel they belong or to derive an identity. If you feel disregarded it’s a way to make yourself heard. It’s imperative that we don’t take ideological attacks personally, they reek of projection. My tuppence worth!
While I agree with the notion that we should continue to be wary of and investigate the long-term effects of the COVID19 vaccines, the fact is many people’s immune system is not equipped to fight off the infection on our own, hence the hopitalisations and deaths (4.16 million).

The fact is COVID19 has been using our bodies as breeding grounds for its replications and mutations, which is why while the virus may appear “smart, adaptable and always a step ahead,” it has only been able to achieve its more infectious forms with the help of various hosts, including the unvaccinated and the immunocompromised, in whose bodies COVID19 has been able to rapidly replicate and evolve into an ever stronger invader of our bodies, thereby causing and prolonging the incredible disruptions to our personal lives and local, national and global economies.
Since we do not reproduce, and therefore evolve, as quickly as COVID19, the more bodies we allow it to infect, the more all of us (even the already vaccinated) become at risk of (re)infections, long-term debilitating illness and death. As there’s no reversal from death, the benefits that come with the vaccines, shoring up our body against (re)infections, severe illness and death, buy us the time we need to better study and counter any negative long-term effects of the vaccine (if any).
This is why, despite my own reluctance to veer away from homeopathic remedies, I had decided to get vaccinated, so that COVID19 has much less of a chance of using my body to become a stronger attacker against other people, including my loved ones.
As for the astrology, as evidenced by others’ testimonies, difficult natal/transit aspects don’t have to manifest in real-life worst-case scenarios.

I hadn’t expected this to be still such a toxic topic. And obviously there are medical exceptions which everyone understands. I am sorry about your situation Linda but there really is no need to flare up at length about it.
I am too old for this argument (and so many others at present). On the vaccine topic – I stood meekly in a queue at school for the mandatory standard polio etc etc jabs and in adult life travelled to Africa and India for the advisable/mandatory jabs against hep A and B, typhoid, cholera, yellow fever, rabies, anthrax, meningitis, Japanese encephalitis, polio. Were we more submissive in those days? It just wasn’t a question that ever came up. I vaccinate my dog three times a year – parvo, rabies, leismaniaisis – which feels like a veterinary money-making grab at times but it seems wise to take precautions.
I hesitate to raise another argument – but there is a prevailing sense at present that individual rights are absolute. I choose not to be vaccinated – my body, my choice. Sure I can refuse a flu jab or refuse cancer treatment. But refusing a vaccination that could result in others being infected in the middle of an epidemic is more questionable.
Back to the astrology. The markers on the anti-vaxxers’ charts are strikingly similar. Sun Uranus, Mars Pluto/Saturn, and Uranus Neptune – and it will be the combination which makes for vehement influencer/activists. Others with similar markers, and I am one, will go down a different route or pick different battles. The fascination of the complexity of astrology – not so much many paths one goal, as one starting point several outcomes.

The vaccine doesn’t leave a lot of choice for people that can’t take it. I have severe health conditions and a ridiculous amount of allergies. My son had both the first and second vaccines, he told me, given his experiences that I really couldn’t cope with it.
As I am my husband’s main carer, and due to his strokes and heart failure he decided to not have it either. His carers always wear the masks, gloves and aprons. And they were the only people that we were in contact with, yet we both contracted Covid 19, which landed my husband in hospital and left me at home struggling on my own, with no help except to be hounded by Test and Trace, who always phoned when I was resting. It is an exhausting illness and left me extremely weak and in pain and unable to eat.
After recovering from it I caught it again, this time it was virtually unnoticeable. And then in February and March my hair began coming out in droves, like I had undergone chemo therapy, only I hadn’t.
I haven’t been sick since, and in 15 months I have only been out once, and I wore a face mask and practised social distancing. I figure that I now have developed the imunity to make me safe to be around others. Yet despite all of this, I am considered The stupid one, the irresponsible one, and dangerous one for not giving in and risking my life on something that is unquantifiable. The plain fact being, we don’t know the long term effects that any of the vaccines can have on people with auto-immune disorders and related diseases.
I have tried very hard in regard to the safety of others. But it has become extremely obvious that the continuous hand-washing, social distancing and the wearing of masks haven’t been that successful in preventing the spread of the disease. At least to not where we are concerned.
You can’t just say that everyone has to take any of the vaccines, irregardless of the risks that are posed. Sorry, I am not going to risk my life for something that actually could kill me not unless I am forced. And what does that say about the rest of you who are willing to force the issue, irregardless of the cost?

I see numbnuts here in the USA who do not have health issues (or religious objections either) who walk around unvaccinated and REJOICE in that obstinacy. A few have gotten the newer variants and suffered, some are still hospitalized. The rest are just contrary on this. I am astonished at this contrariness. This world is a bit crazy nowadays.

It’s years of my life I will never get back. The vast majority of this gravy train is pure fear porn. I wish people would admit that they actually thrive on it and enjoy it. Personally, it just made me sick and anxious. Wasn’t good for my Cancer moon.
I think my 3 practical Virgo personal planets and ascendent helped wake me up finally. But I still get triggered by others who believe this and shove it down my throat. The New Age movements are fertile ground for it, since there is a belief among some of those people that they are in communication with divine beings who are apparently warning them about the evil vaccine. You always see a rise in conspiracy theories during pandemics but there’s a disturbing divisiveness about this vaccine and it’s sad to see.

I’m reminded of the “fasting movement” from the 1970’s…triggered into popularity by the book, “Fasting can save your life”. One fervant follower labeled anything non-natural as “poison”. He also ate copious amounts of apricot pits. Common bodies of knowledge were considered with extreme disdain. Early-on vegans who were quite vocal about being anti-meat were also secret visitors to the local Arby’s. There’s a closet personality in all of them. ;=)

For my part, I admire people who think differently from the mass. Being Uranian, having issues between Mars and Pluton are challenging, in fact, this helps to activate discussions, conflicts as well as the ability to gain sharp perceptions and judgements of a situation or a person.

You think generational influences aren’t real? And read what it says above – “can” – there is a spectrum of meaning and fanaticism happens to be one of them for Uranus Neptune or holding to slightly off-the-wall beliefs. It can also be inspired and creative.
I’m also highly Uranian and have a hint of an afflicted Mars so I know of what I speak. But it is assuredly true that many of the conspiracy theorists from David Icke onwards through some of the shock jocks have very stressed Mars, most often tied into Pluto.
If personal points and planets tie into Uranus and Neptune then its an entirely valid astrological observation, both given the subject matter, the people influenced by and influencing it, and the meaning of the planets themselves.

Actually what Marjorie offers is an opinion, and the astrological reasoning – evidenced – of what she is talking about. I really value it, but I wouldn’t expect Marjorie to be completely ‘objective’. Nobody is, and certainly no astrologer that I know. Anyone who claims to be completely objective is deluding themselves.
In my recent experience, a lot of anti-vaxxers are shouting about ‘objective debate’ and ‘science’ as a clamour for their own highly subjective viewpoints to be given traction and credibility. Frankly, it seems that very little credibility is available to them otherwise. Anti-vaxxers are doing a huge amount of damage.
It’s a pity so much energy is being wasted on anti-vaxx lies, while the world very literally is starting to burn with climate change and our democracies are crumbling. We’re going to need all the fighting energy we can get…(look at all the evidence, eh?)

I have followed Mercola’s newsletter for the past couple years being interested in alternative medicine, but am not anti-vaccine in general. As much as I agree that there is an element of conspiracy theory to his writings he also consistently names research from well known institutes and universities. Several things he wrote about in April last year which where being dismissed as conspiracy theory actually turned out to be true and have written about in mainstream media since.
I have to agree with Carmel questioning things and ranting are completely different things. Read up and discern before passing judgment.

How do these papers view astrology? It’s very common for “alternative” medicine practitioners to be smeared by the press, sometimes with good reason, other times not. There are also some very disturbing orthodox doctors. 5,500 breast cancer patients who’ll receive compensation as a result of mistreatment by Ian Paterson…just announced yesterday. There are also highly skilled and very dodgy astrologers and everything in between. I’m sure Boris and co and the heads of pharmaceutical companies are making substantial financial gains! I’d put you on the highly skilled end of the scale with a dose of bias and a wee bitty nippy sweetie thrown in!
I’ve found resources from Christiane Northrup re: Women’s health invaluable in navigating breast cancer and I agree with you about Dr Mercola. The resources were much more sane, compassionate and effective than my experiences at the world renowned breast unit I attended. I think it will become increasingly difficult to maintain vaccine production and sustain a booster schedule and additionally, a virus is smart, adaptable and always a step ahead creating variants as it goes. 30 years ago the search for a cure for HIV/AIDs began and extensive funds have been allocated to this quest which is ongoing. In the meantime, it’s no longer the death sentence it once was and a magic bullet eludes researchers.. Cancer rates are predicted to rise exponentiay and yet there too there has been a massive amount of research and investment, but no cure. I can’t help but think that there needs to be a radical (no I don’t have strong uranus contacts!) rethink about how we approach health and dis-ease and how we take charge of our own well being. The NHS chart is certainly approaching a period of tumult, review, revision in the coming year. Let’s see how things unfold. Stay well
I have to say Marjorie, you’re not always objective. I haven’t had the vaccine and do not intend on doing so but that doesn’t make me fanatical. I chose from the very beginning when I could see what was coming I wouldn’t take it and still stand by that decision but I wouldn’t call myself an anti-vaxxer or batty which are both insulting. For the record, both of my children have been vaccinated. Anyway, thank god there are people on this planet that do question those in power and thats what makes us so beautifully different and important. I don’t believe for a second of the many that are questioning the narrative, all have daddy/authoritarian issues. Nonetheless, there’s not enough research done on this vaccine and we don’t know what the repercussions of it going forward. Yes, my attitude is my body, my choice and it will continue to be like that. What we do need to do is respect each other’s decision either way. Sadly, this is dividing us, rather than unifying us.

@Angief’s children sound like adults who make their own decisions. There is a difference. And the issue for many who choose not to is around the lack of enough research and data as is usual. Why your villianizing tone?

How do you know they are not adults? In most cases around the world young children are not yet being vaccinated.
As for the rest, not sure what you talking about. It’s not that dramatic.

Thanks Marjorie. It’s more than likely all these people were vaccinated against, for example, polio and smallpox as children. Would they really like to see a world where people’s lives are still blighted by such diseases?
I noticed a pattern involving the Moon’s Nodes and Chiron in these charts – Robert Kennedy Jnr has S Node with Uranus, opposing NN with Chiron – the rebellion or disruption of groups of people? Driven to teach in some way?
Christiane Northrup has Chiron inconjunct Uranus, with her S Node conjunct Neptune, and NN conjunct BML in Aries. The S Node with Neptune suggests a range of “destined” and/or unexamined things connected with healthcare, delusions, illusions, and sacrifice. NN with Lilith in Aries sounds pretty warrior-like!
Piers Corbyn probably has Moon in Scorpio conjunct Chiron. His Neptune is trine the NN in Gemini – the communication (relentless!) of dreams and half-digested facts? Mars in Pisces squares the Nodes – actions affecting crowds? He has also had a lot of, shall we say controversial, things to say about climate change in the past.
Joseph Mercola has his Cancer Sun, Mercury and Jupiter conjunct the S Node. That seems quite driven, ambitious and dynamic, but possibly unaware of motivation too. His Uranus/Neptune square makes a t-square with catalyst Chiron. Here it seems that Chiron’s role as a “healer” or teacher has come into play.
The global pandemic and vaccine rollout has seemingly brought an opportunity for some sort of almost fateful path for these individuals.
I have a background in mental health and a degree in public health including epidemiology. I think we should be open, and question rationally information/ new science but a little look at the history of plagues /viruses undoubtedly show how life has greatly been prolonged by vaccines. I have known a fair few ‘pure food / anti medicine / anti vaccine’ individuals (some very well) and the root of their thinking often did seem to stem from an anti establishment / authority feeling, sometimes as a result of childhood trauma and abuse. There is now a broad term – Orthorexia – for people whose ‘healthy purity’ might be significantly impacting on their lives. It’s interesting to see again that often the ‘noise’ we make about things is not connected to what is eating us up deep down inside.
I agree, Grace, that we should question information about vaccines and medicines in general. Having had Covid-19 and been very ill with innumerable weird symptoms at home, plus almost a year without a proper sense of smell and lingering fatigue, I could not wait to get vaccinated!
I grew up in quite an “alternative” kind of family, and do also know that good food and exercise, plus rest, are often fantastic at preventing or healing everyday kinds of illness. Scientific research on the microbiome, for example, is now revealing much more about our immune systems and the gut which can affect both physical and mental health. A Uranus in Taurus development perhaps?
This virus also affects the digestive system in many people – not sure astrologically, but would assume Virgo or Cancer might be in there somewhere.
I will be interested to see what develops once Jupiter stations direct in October, and then eventually returns to Pisces, sign of health workers and nurses, in December and on into 2022.
I must confess these people flummox me. Surprise, surprise, it’s Sun/Uranus which can often end up like this – perpetually in conflict with authority and I think that unless the individual can express the energy in a way that involves some creativity or humanitarianism, (Bob Geldof for example has the square) it can be just rebellion for rebellion’s sake. The father can be eccentric with this aspect and the child can identify with this and grow up with a kind of ‘outsider’ mentality. As you say, Marjorie, Sun/Uranus with age can sometimes become the very tyrants they once wanted to topple. With Mars and Pluto and indeed Mars in Scorpio there can be a kind of fanatical crusader spirit and once a course of action is decided, they are simply immovable.

Yes indeed VF! Very good comment! I do think much of this is connected to rage against some kind of invisible authority/parent figures. In Piers Corbyn’s case, you could also see flashes of that contrary rage and refusal to consider any other points of view in his brother Jeremy. Now I think about it, there’s an element of this in Boris Johnson too – still fighting his father, or seeking his approval in some way.

There was huge public unrest during the Black Death too, with the rise of the Flagellant movement – one of the more crazy offshoots of the plague’s effect on society – where public displays of fervent self-punishment and whipping by religious zealots fired up the crowds.
Kate Shemirani, the struck-off, anti-vax nurse who has whipped up a lot of this fervour, apparently once ran a Botox clinic, presumably happy to inject people with botulism and dermal filler. So quite where the logic is in all that is anyone’s guess.
I think there’s a huge difference between people who question the safety and efficacy of vaccines and people who just rant. The reality is that regardless of where you stand, nobody yet knows the long term effects on the immune system. As someone born in the sixties with uranus pluto in virgo…and the nodes in gemini /sag have been squaring this conjunction during the period of vaccine rollout, I’d say that we may view this very differently down the line, especially for this age group. Plenty of sun uranus astrologers out there used to being called out for thinking differently!
