The UK blinks as the former Prince Andrew is taken into custody with King Charles saying the law must take its course and the police talking about possible misconduct in public office charges, while cautioning about publication of anything that might lead to contempt of court charges.
On the UK chart, the 10th house Cancer Moon is usually associated with the monarchy, which tr Jupiter is heading towards, making the exact conjunction in May. What may be more illuminating is the Solar Arc Moon which is at the moment on the apex of a yod to the UK natal Jupiter sextile Uranus. That may sound obscure but these yods can point to times of critical change, usually involving a degree of paralysis and doubt before setting out on a new path.
The UK Solar Arc Moon will be squared by tr Uranus this year for emotional upsets and then moves to conjunct the UK Pluto (itself on the apex of a natal yod inconjunct Uranus sextile Jupiter) in 2028/29 when there is an indication of turbulence in the senior royals’ charts (see King Charles post below). Incidentally the UK Solar Arc Moon at zero degrees Pisces is exactly conjunct Andrew’s Sun now so it seems apt that he is the instigator of this earth-shaking moment for the Royals.
I have always been drawn to the Hanoverian Monarchy chart of 1 August 1714 which was the start of this run of Royal rulers. It is showing great insecurity and shock this year with the Solar Arc Uranus conjunct the Mars. It has Pluto in Virgo at exactly the same degree as Andrew’s and both will be jolted mightily from August this year onwards. And by 2029 the Solar Arc Saturn will conjunct the Mars for a major setback.
Charles has a 4th house Chiron at 28 degrees Scorpio reasonably close to his Sun which hints at a hidden parent who was also hurtful, which his father was, but also points to a wound around his broader childhood, with his mother not available through pressure of her role and indeed her temperament. His Chiron falling in Scorpio would bring intense feelings of a primitive variety – rage, envy, greed, guilt, depression, a deep sense of unfairness. Tr Uranus opposing his Chiron in March will open up a good many of these scars from his family experiences.
His Solar Arc Chiron is also square his 1st house Pluto at the moment as well, which will be magnifying all the Plutonic/Scorpionic themes. Interestingly Melanie Rhinehart talks of Chiron Pluto contacts as often involving the ‘spirits of the dead’. It is a savage irony that Charles has been landed with this poisoned chalice of an Andrew-debacle by his mother, who mollycoddled and spoiled Andrew to a ludicrous degree and by all accounts did not think much of Charles himself.
On the synastry the late Queen would feel controlled by Andrew with his Pluto falling in her 8th. But it was hardly an easy connection with his wayward Uranus falling in her 7th conjunct her Moon Neptune and opposition her Mars Jupiter. Their relationship chart is soused in delusional Neptune – with a composite Grand Trine of Uranus trine Neptune Moon trine Mars and Neptune Moon opposition Sun, and Mars opposition Pluto. Tr Saturn Neptune is at the moment conjunct the composite Sun and opposing the composite Neptune. Maybe the fog of sentiment will start to clear and reality will break through. That relationship – even from the great beyond – will be under challenging influences for the coming few years.
Andrew’s chart has been gone over but just to recap the Aquarius eclipse opposition his Sun in effect for the next few months is creating a crisis of considerable magnitude. Tr Uranus moving to square his Sun from this April followed by tr Uranus square his Pluto for a year or so will accompany a complete rupture and more instability. His Solar Arc Neptune conjunct his Saturn, exact in five months though in effect now will be bringing great uncertainty. His Progressed Mars is now sextile is Progressed Saturn and both inconjunct his natal Uranus for another of these travelling yods bringing paralysis and change through crisis.
His yod apex Uranus will get the full brunt of the August Leo Solar Eclipse – which is a challenge to change or be landed with more limitations.
His Solar Return for the year ahead has a destabilising, direction-change Uranus conjunct Algol in the 10th; with Sun and Mars in the dependent 7th, hinting at a need for support as well as impatience. Venus, Moon, Neptune Saturn in the hidden 8th points to emotional panic. Eris, planet of discord, which is natally in his 9th house of international travel and legal affairs, is back in his 9th for a legal hotspot conjunct Chiron. The Solar Return Ascendant at 17 degrees Leo is close to his yod apex natal Uranus which is what gives him his defiant, reckless streak. It will also catch the August Leo Solar Eclipse.
His Lunar Return for this month from February 9th – through his forced house move out of Royal Lodge and now into a prison cell, even if only for a night – has Pluto, Mars Sun in the 4th, so angry with the family and his living conditions. Saturn Neptune in the 6th for an energy/health slump. Uranus in the 8th opposition Moon square Venus for an emotional and financial upset.
The synastry between Andrew and Epstein links both their promiscuous Venus Mars conjunctions. Epstein’s in Pisces is conjunct Andrew’s 8th house Mercury; while Andrew’s Venus Mars in late Capricorn is conjunct Epstein’s Sun. Epstein’s Neptune Saturn conjunction sits on Andrew’s IC making him an undermining influence; with Epstein’s Jupiter in Taurus in Andrew’s 10th as he promised not only indulgence but also wealth.
Any astrological insight on the teddies in natal chart? I went and dug out a grown woman I knew hwo also had a toy collection on the bed. Chiron in Taurus in 5th House. Prince Andrew’s chiron is in 23 Aries.
Evidently it is more common than you might imagine. Off the top of my head – Moon seems key, since teddies are comforters.

Oddly Sarah, former wife, has an equally though very different stressed Moon in Aries conjunct Eris (= discord) on the focal point of a yod inconjunct a manipulative Venus Pluto Midheaven sextile Neptune Mercury – emotionally disorganized to an extraordinary degree. She has Nessus Algol in her 7th house of close partnerships. An odd pair.
The grown woman I knew have Moon conjunct Neptune inconjunct Sun. Moon Neptune also sextile Pluto. Her toys are treated like “live beings” with emotions, hierarchy and an entourage for mollycodding her.

It was well accepted in racing and aristo circles way before it hit the media that Andrew was Lord Porchester’s son – the late Queen’s racing manager, which might explain a lot. The Prince Edward rumour I think came from Lady Colin Campbell whom I would not trust as reliable source. Philip was close to Edward.
Lady Colin Campbell is indeed not to be trusted. Her defence of Andrew, victim-blaming Virginia Giuffre and other survivors as well as her attitude towards the age of consent has also been deeply unpleasant.

“Melanie Rhinehart talks of Chiron Pluto contacts as often involving the ‘spirits of the dead’” : I’d often wondered why I seemed to have dreams involving death – in particular, one I had when I was about 7 years old, and the first I recall, in which family members (parents and brother) refused to touch a coffin but urged me to open it instead.
A snake came out of it and bit me. As an adult I dreamed of death when my grandfather passed away halfway around the world; a nightmare the night before 9/11; in the tangible world, I saw outward signs of pending death which I unfortunately ignored or chose not to see just before my father passed away.
I have Chiron in Pisces in the first, opposite a Moon-Pluto conjunction. Not easy. Over the past few years (Neptune-Saturn in Pisces?) I’ve had to fend off family members who wanting me to do what they don’t want to do: sacrifice myself to relieve them of their obligations.
I am intrigued that nobody has mentioned the investigation into Lord Mandelson’s connection to Epstein, whilst he held an important office of state.
According to Private Eye Mandelson lobbied Tony Blair for Andrew to get the job. At the same time Prince Charles was apparently telling the government that it would be a disaster as Andrew would spend all the time playing golf and chasing girls. Given that information it would seem that the actual process by which Andrew was given the role of Special Trade Envoy should be investigated and the results made public. To be honest with that potential connection I am surprised the relevant police forces are not coordinating their enquiries. I would have thought the correct course would have been to arrest Mandelson and Andrew together as the potential offences are similar and both were apparently leaking confidential information to Epstein. The fact that the latter was arrested before the former is odd, particularly on his birthday. One might almost suspect the government of playing up Andrew’s case while burying their problems with Mandelson.
I have read that it was the Queen herself who sought this position for Andrew! The legacy of both her and Prince Philip have certainly taken a hit for raising such a nasty, entitled, criminal buffoon and pedophile. Good on King Charles for warning from the start against hiring Andrew for such a position!
The Composite Chart for Andrew and Mandelson has Pluto at 29 Leo square a Mars/North Node conjunction at 25/26 Scorpio. This chart is being activated by retrograde Uranus at the moment. The composite chart also has Uranus at 5 Leo which is being opposed by Pluto at 4 Aquarius. The composite Uranus also opposes Keir Starmer’s Saturn so he is going to be impacted in due course.

It’s former Chancellor and Prime Minister Gordon Brown’s birthday today. I read that he’s sent two lots of information to the police regarding Andrew’s time as Trade Envoy. Brown and Mandelson had a very tense relationship apparently. So it is quite intriguing to see some connections between Andrew, GB, and Mandelson’s charts.

The Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus and South Node in Pisces today when the arrest was made suggests there may be some confusion which will ultimately result in disappointment.
The arrest was for “suspicion of misconduct in public office” due to Andrew emailing confidential info to Epstein. This has nothing to do with the underage girls which is surely what the public are clamouring for him to be hung, drawn and quartered for. That said, the police may find alternative incriminating evidence on his phone/computer/personal files or from his DNA/fingerprints which blows the doors wide open.
Interesting points, GD. Mercury turns retrograde in Pisces at 22 degrees next week, and forward again at 8 degrees on 20th March, the day the Sun enters Aries at the Spring Equinox. That’s all in AMW’s 8th house, where Mars will also be in March and early April. 8th house themes such as other people’s money, and sex, could be emphasised?
There’s also the new investigation into events at Epstein’s Zorro Ranch in New Mexico, which has just begun under current new astro patterns, perhaps connected to the fiery and airy era we are entering. The police forces acting in this case are not dictated to/given instructions by the King. I think you misunderstand the role of the monarch in the U.K. ….and who funds the police.
Well nobody is going to investigate, arrest, charge or try the King. Everything to do with the government, the judiciary and loads of other things is in his name. So expecting Charles to somehow take the blame for his mother and Andrew’s mistakes is just ludicrous.
Although we are told the King wasn’t aware in advance of this morning’s arrest, he will have known it was a possibility in light of the Epstein Files information re allegedly passing sensitive documents via email.
Prince William has the Saturn/Neptune conjunction aspecting his natal chart at the moment, with his natal 0 Cancer Sun, 0 Scorpio Jupiter, 4 Cancer Moon, and BML (mean lunar apogee) 0 Capricorn.
I don’t know which natal house might represent an uncle, but maybe that could also be of interest. The blend of idealism and practicality suggested by Saturn and Neptune potentially affects his Cancer Sun and Moon family feelings? Also, it occurs to me that Neptune is often linked with scandals, and Saturn with history (and karma), so that symbolism could be playing out as well. I watched an interview with A N Wilson the other day. He was very gloomy regarding the future of the monarchy, even suggesting that William may not ultimately want the Crown
P.235 of Brady’s Predictive Astrology – The Eagle and The Lark states that Prince William is born into Saros Series 2 Old North and that is finishing in July 2036, having begun in AD 792.
She states the series is ” one of separation or ending of unions” and goes on to say “Thus for Prince William, a future King of England, to be part of this Series is to presuppose that he may well be the last British monarch in the current style. The could be a sudden collapse of the Monarch’s role in the community while William is king. He would then find himself faced with the choice of either adapting very quickly or being swept away with the old structure.”*
Finally she states that the theory is further supported by the Series beginning in AD792 at about the time the tradition of the Monarchy began. The first recognised King of England was Egbert in AD802.

2 Old North or Saros 117 ends August 3, 2054. It began as a Leo Ascendant with Leo Venus trine the midheaven. The Cancer Jupiter was conjunct the eclipse. North node was Gemini on the cafeteria Sabian symbol. The cafeteria is very much in line with the nation of shopkeepers, the British empire as a trade empire about Gemini commerce or mercandise. I don’t think the series was about monarchy at all but the unification of England, then Britain, then the British empire.
Saros 117 is replaced by Saros 157 beginning on what would be William’s 76th birthday. It is an Aries Asc with a Leo Venus trine the Ascendant. Jupiter is in Aries and rising and the north node in Gemini conjunction Neptune. I can’t help but think that indicates a muscular nation with naval dreams. Jupiter is loosely opposing the retrograde Libra Uranus so that looks like another cycle of King versus Parliament which suggests there will be a King.
One has to feel a bit of sympathy for William. Not only has he had to deal with the historical fallout out from his mother’s death but also his father and wife have both have been ill with cancer and his brother has gone AWOL leaving him to bear the burden of royal duties. The last thing he needs is his money grubbing, sex obsessed uncle dragging the family name through the dirt for years on end. It probably would be better for him if Andrew was tried, convicted and locked up in prison
