Trump v Chicago – Fixed stars mark his path

The Trump trail of tears and terror continues to lengthen as he retreats from saving the world in the face of Putin and Netanyahu’s intransigence and instead turns his vengeful laser on home targets – Jerome Powell of the Federal Reserve, John Bolton, former ally turned critic, and Democrat-run cities which he deems killing zones because of the murder rate.

Chicago is next in his sights despite have a lower mortality rate than many GOP run cities which has envigorated the Illinois governor J.B. Pritzker, a potential Democratic presidential hopeful, into mounting a stalwart defence against any prospect of federal troops being sent in.

A commentator said: “This clash runs deeper than a short-term political spat. It might develop into a full-blown crisis between a Republican White House and a major Democratic-run city and state. Likely legal challenges could turn on core values of republicanism in a dispute between a president with a monarchical sense of power and a state that rejects federal duress.”

Trump has already dispatched troops onto the streets of Los Angeles and Washington, DC, and is clearly pushing his testing of the limits of executive power and a way of normalizing the idea of khaki-clad soldiers conducting domestic law enforcement.

The Chicago mayor said ““What the president is proposing is military occupation of the city of Chicago and cities across America.” California governor Gavin Newsom has accused the president of using the military as a “private army.”

J.B. Pritzker, 19 January 1965 1.01 pm Palo Alto, California, is a billionaire businessman and politician. He is a final degree Capricorn Sun with a formidable Mars, Pluto and Uranus in Virgo as well as a Virgo Moon opposition an executive 10th house Saturn – and an 8th house Venus Mercury in Taurus. Plus a high-finance Jupiter in Taurus opposition Neptune. There’s nothing much to suggest success in 2028. But his relationship with Trump which is riddled with dislike at the best of times will be turned upside down this December and mid March to early April 2026.

Chicago will be a worthy foe for Trump, 4 March 1837, since its Mars Jupiter in Leo is conjunct Trump’s 12th house power-hungry Pluto. That relationship chart hints the war of words will escalate over the winter with continued pressure beyond that.

Trump’s relationship with John Bolton and Jerome Powell also show considerable unrest and turbulence when Uranus retrogrades to late Taurus from this November to April 2026. With Powell’s woes continuing into 2026. Gavin Newsom/Trump will also creak and groan now through 2026 and on.

I wondered – for the umpteenth time – precisely what drives Trump – astrologically speaking. Gemini like all signs has its trickier side and can be unfeeling. A Gemini North Node tends to rush around like a bull in a china shop. Mars in Leo is bombastic and a flagrant attention-seeker, can oddly be petty when it feels ignored, but Leo itself is not renowned as a sign with a vengeful streak. Uranus in the 10th demands freedom and dislikes having to submit to rules. All of which suggest a temperament veering towards the chaotic and impractical with no Earth signs – but not of a Stalinesque dictator or a Viktor Orban for that matter (Sun Gemini square Pluto with Mars opposition Saturn.)

There are two other ways of approaching a chart. One is with midpoints and his, unsurprisingly, has a super-confident Sun square Mars/Jupiter and Jupiter square Sun/Pluto. But he also ominously  has his 12th house Pluto sitting on the midpoint of Mars/Saturn which has overtones of brutality and destruction and will give him a capacity for great unkindness (cruelty). Especially so with a 12th house Pluto which can have a deep, dark reservoir of intense over reactions.

The other approach is via Fixed stars.

Trump has Mars conjunct Alphard, the Hydra water snake which is associated with – trouble and scandal through love affairs. “This conjunction brings out the dynamo in the native. Properly directed it brings them to leadership. However, the native may bring on sorrows and possibly scandals due to their actions. These natives are generally daring and foolhardy, defiant and stubborn.”  He shares this with Benjamin Netanyahu.

Ascendant conjunct Regulus – a splendid and illustrious life; glorious, mighty and commanding nature; fame, busy with many activities, bountiful resources, well known or feared. Illustrious generals who subjugate regions and cities, are inclined to speak frankly, have a taste for fighting. Great honour and wealth, and violence and trouble, acute disease, benefits seldom last, victory over enemies and scandal.

Manilius a Roman poet of AD 30 is quoted.:

‘But when the Lion shews his ravenous Jaws

Prepared for Rapine, and unsheaths his Paws,

A Spendthrift’s born, who minds himself alone

So fast his Gluttony, his Lust so wild

That he devours himself, yet is not fill’d.’

Midheaven conjunct Algol: A splendid and illustrious life. Both negative and positive influences. The darker side is bigoted, secretive, subject to violence, either to or by the native, a propagandist. Mass vandalism, fanaticism, tragedies, ruthlessness.  Algol has has a long tradition as a troublemaker.

Saturn conjunct Procyon he shares with the Marquis de Sade, Daniel Ortega (Nicaragua dictator), George W. Bush, Itamar Ben-Gvir (Israel minister of National Security),  John F. Kennedy.

The 2025 Inauguration chart which has a dictatorial, intimidating Sun Pluto opposition Mars – also has Jupiter conjunct Aldebaran: This position brings recognition or glory that has not been earned. Unless a conscious path is followed  all will be lost eventually.

And Mars conjunct Procyon: The native can become involved in statements that are open to question or debate. There may be a complete lack of compassion for others. Scandalous actions and insensitive, cruel actions, prideful and of a controversial nature.

  1. As a point of interest, it would would appear that the National Guard will only be sent to cities requesting assistance.

One might wonder if this particular topic is a way to deflect from the seemingly miraculous cleanup of Washington DC.

Have a look at Anthony Brian Logan’s recent u tube. He created an enlightening compilation of thankful DC region residents. A decidedly different demographic to the protesters and commentators.

  2. Trump’s deployment of the National Guard in Washington DC and LA is another step towards dictatorship. It is a test run for when he declares an emergency and uses troops to “defend” democracy during the midterm elections. The midterms are held on Nov 3 2026 and apart from tr Saturn square Trump’s Mercury look fairly benign for him.

  3. I can definitely see Chicago rising to the challenge and standing up to Trump. It is a deeply resourceful city on par with NYC, even if it only has about a third of the population. It isn’t known as the city with “big shoulders” for no reason, which sounds Leonine and also implies great strength.

This could very well be a defining, rallying confrontation for Chicago, and may propel it forward with a different outlook and strengthened identity in the post-Trump era, which is coming far sooner than later.

Personally, I’d love to see Chicago really step back into its role as the “Capital of the Midwest” and really advocate for multi-state economic development in that region, through high-speed rail and other job-creation projects. Gov. Pritzker could certainly champion this approach if he becomes President. Seems like a legit path forward for Dems to cut through the rancid ideology-driven malice and “tear-it-all-down” insanity of the MAGA Republicans.

I honestly don’t see Trump lasting too much longer. He’s aging rapidly now and appears increasingly frail with his body breaking down on him as his hands and ankles indicate. And he is losing his mind. Between his Neptune-opp-Neptune, Uranus Return, and Pluto-opp-Pluto transits these next few years, he’s on his way down and out. I strongly suspect he’ll be in full-on Alzheimer’s by this time next year.

The govt. apparatus surrounding him and media that has propped him up make him seem far more powerful and threatening than he actually is.

His eternal silence at long last will be a blessing to humanity.

    • I hope you are right. Trump’s decline is the only thing that might save US democracy. Trump’s advisor Stephen Miller has just declared that the Democratic Party is a terrorist organization – this is civil war rhetoric.

  4. Algol on his Midheaven is, I would argue one of the reasons why he can destroy, lie, threaten, commit all kinds of cruelties, override the constitution, lay waste institutions and get away with it. Algol there both defines his actions in the world and seems to operate as protection for him. Algol often signifies head injuries and yet he even dodged a bullet that miraculously missed his head but instead merely grazed his ear. Thus far he has not faced justice for a litany of crimes including fraud, financial crimes and 27 allegations of sexual assault. Plus he’s capable of petty vengeance too. Black women were the main demographic who refused to vote for him, so he will seek to punish that demographic for not acknowledging his greatness.

In Chinese astrology, Algol is known as ‘Mausoleum’ and it is seen as part of an asterism of which Algol is the brightest. Its name is ‘Tseih She’ (積屍), meaning ‘Piled-up Corpses’. There may be many by the end of this administration’s term.

    • I’ve often wondered about his Cancer Saturn, aligned with the tricky twin in Gemini, the fixed star Pollux. Partly, because of the undoubted influence of his powerful father (who eventually succumbed to Alzheimer’s in old age).

“According to Ptolemy it is of the nature of Mars; and, to Alvidas, of the Moon, Mars and Uranus. It gives a subtle, crafty, spirited, brave, audacious, cruel and rash nature, a love of boxing, dignified malevolence, and is connected with poisons. [Robson, p.185-186.]

Pollux has a strong Martian nature and has the name ‘the wicked boy’ of the of the sibling Twins. According to its nature, this star is brutal and tyrannical, violent and cruel if in conjunction with the Sun, Moon, Ascendant, MC or with malefics. Just as Mars has its good sides if the energy it creates is channeled constructively, so Pollux should not always be considered as unhelpful. The star badly place could manifest that way, not by the native misusing his energy but by others deceiving him and fate playing him some cruel tricks. Helper if in peril on voyages at sea. [Fixed Stars and Their Interpretation, Elsbeth Ebertin, 1928, p.41.]”

Also at the degree of Trump’s Saturn is the fixed star Wezen in Canis Major. Back in the 1st Century, Manilius described the stars of Canis Major:

“Words run ahead of the speakers: the mind is too fast for the mouth [translator’s note: the impetuosity of the speaker causes him to utter words before he has time to adapt them to grammar or logic]. Their hearts start throbbing at the slightest cause, and when speech comes their tongues rave and bark, and constant gnashing imparts the sound of teeth to their utterance. Their failings are intensified by wine, for Bacchus [meaning alcohol] gives them strength and fans their savage wrath to flame.”

Perhaps we should be grateful that DJT doesn’t drink…..

  5. Thanks Marjorie. I wonder about DJT being born on the day of a lunar eclipse? It is in the 2 Old North series which Brady says is ‘difficult’, with the New Moon of the first eclipse on the Mars-Uranus midpoint. DJT certainly seems to express Mars/Uranus in many ways, and appears to have done throughout his life. Here’s some snippets from the years that his natal Saros Series repeated:

2018: Government Shutdown: Trump instigated the longest government shutdown in U.S. history by demanding $5.7 billion for the U.S.-Mexico border wall, which began in December 2018 and extended into February 2019.

2000: “I may be too honest to be a politician” DJT quote from that year, when –

Donald Trump sought the Reform Party’s presidential nomination but withdrew from the race, which was ultimately won by Pat Buchanan. Around this time, Trump also significantly expanded his business empire by licensing the Trump name for a variety of consumer products and residential property developments.

1982: “In their 1982 lawsuits, the tenants said Trump had cut off their hot water and heat during New York’s freezing winters and stopped all building repairs. One claimed he allowed “a rodent infestation of the premises.” Another said he imposed burdensome new rules in an attempt to force them out.

For example, Trump’s new building manager claimed there was a burglary in the building. Dentists with apartment offices were ordered to send patients to the garbage-filled service elevator, according to building management documents and a dentist’s lawsuit that tried to fight it.

Dr. Michael Richman refused to comply with the new rule, complaining in court documents that Trump “mounted a campaign of harassment.” CNN

I also wondered about his Draconic chart, but don’t feel confident about interpreting that.

  6. “…….Chicago is next in his sights despite have a lower mortality rate than many GOP run cities …….”

Crap, this canard is pushed often but it is meant to deceive rather than inform. I recall someone posting on a chat room “15 small Republican towns with high murder rates”. I checked them out (oh gawd). 5 of the “small towns” were subdivisions in metro areas with more than 5 million people, another 5 were in urban areas of over 1 million and mostly Democrat, and only one town was genuinely small and Republican controlled. Lots of Republican states have high murder rates, like Missouri, but have most of its murders committed in Democrat cities.

  7. I wonder if he risks overreach. The military being used for this purpose is asking for trouble. No offense, but they are trained for warzones, not law enforcement. What if something happens, and they accidentally kill a innocent person, or God forbid, a child? I can see the population of that city rising up and rioting. And if this should happen in Washington DC, where Trump is located, I think another January 6 event against Trump could occur if the outrage goes out of control.
Is there any indication of California, Washington DC, Chicago, or another such area finally manage to stop Trump from his illegal occupation?

    • As long as the corrupt Republican majority on the SCOTUS allows Trump to expand his power and Congressional Republican refuse to assert the legislative branch as a coequal to the executive Trump will continue his dictatorial tendencies.
Wolfstar at Neptunecafe used some progressed aspects of Trump’s chart and he confirmed that Trump will continue to act out unimpeded (unfortunately).

      • I kept thinking whether in this I am seeing a silhoutte of how this possible escalation in America regarding the Uranus in Gemini might look like: as if he will push it all to its very limits, people will rebel against this kind of personalized use of all the branches of American power and government, and mayhem will ensue.

        • Well the redistricting nonsense seems like a nonviolent version of a civil war with Trump pitting red states and blue states against each other.
I could see Republicans in blue states moving to red states if that blue state eliminated the possibility of any Congressional district being won by a Republican.

As for real violence I could see that in localized instances, but with the economy worsening everyday people are more focused on food and shelter than protesting a potential military type occupation.
