Tony Blair – his messiah complex revving up

Sir Tony Blair wants to run Gaza once the war between Israel and Hamas is over – runs a surreal headline which evidently has the backing of the White House. He has the support of several powerful figures, including Jared Kushner, and Steve Witkoff, the US president’s special envoy. He would head an interim government in Gaza with a UN mandate as the “supreme political and legal authority” for five years, on the proviso that power eventually would be handed over to the Palestinian Authority. He would not support any proposal that displaced the people of Gaza.

After his departure from Westminster in 2007 post the Iraq debacle from which he has never recovered, he became Middle East envoy for eight years and resigned with little progress made.

Relocating his chart to Gaza/Israel does little that looks effective with his exuberant Mars Jupiter pushed deeper into his 12th and nothing much notable on his relocated Midheaven, bar a Mars square – which will be exacerbated by tr Uranus conjunct Mars and square the Midheaven in 2026/27 = explosive, insecure, rattled. He has his Progressed Mars square his Saturn now and into 2026 which indicate setbacks; with emotional and career discouragement in 2027/28 with his 10th house Moon in its Solar Arc position opposing his Neptune and Saturn.

His relationship with Trump has a friendly composite Sun, Venus, Mercury conjunction though that squares Saturn  – and all will be jolted and jangled by tr Uranus in hard aspect from now till 2028; with a nerve-stretched tr Saturn Neptune square his Uranus now and into 2026.

Blair’s relationship with Netanyahu which is explosive and distrusting at best will be sagging badly with tr Neptune Saturn opposition the composite Saturn in 2026. His relationship with Mahmoud Abbas, the Palestine Authority, leader is not much better.

Cuckoos flying, clockwork orange – in this post-reality world anything is possible but Blair’s ego trip/messiah complex is startling to behold.

  1. If Tony Blair does get a role in Gaza, I’m hoping that he revives/receives the title of “High Commissioner for the (UN) Mandate of Palestine”, the title for the British administrators of Mandatory Palestine between 1926 and 1948 (Palestine was never officially or legally a part of the British Empire, so not a Crown Colony, only administered by the British under a League of Nations mandate).

  2. Transiting Uranus is at 1 Gemini, making a conjunction to Blair’s Jupiter-Mars, and his ascendant. That’s probably what has triggered these wild plans.

  3. I was born three days after Tony Blair, like thousands of others. It is that Saturn Neptune conjunction that is sacrificial and compassionate but with the delusion of being a saviour. I know Saturn should bring Neptune to earth for good, but his life has not shown that.
Didn’t he convert to being a catholic?
Then Pluto square Sun, power and arrogance all in the belief of being righteous, right.
Thankfully, I am a small person and the ripples of my life are less than his.

    • Three days apart, you must have moon in Pisces or Aries making a difference. Blair has an Aqua moon conjunct North Node in the 10th so he believes he can fix the problems of society. Aqua moon suggests there are many demons hidden in his emotional baggage that he projects out into the world and thinks he can overcome with logic – the rictus grin is literally him “putting on a good face” for the world to see. See also Marjorie’s comment below about Pluto in 4th and his ill father.

Unfortunately he last rose to power with Uranus/Neptune hitting his mostly Aqua 10th and now we have transiting Pluto there.

    • I was unaware of Simian lines before you and Marjorie mentioned it here.
Meghan Markle apparently has them too.
      Both are interminably driven.

      • The ‘Simian’ line (monkey line) is now known as the Single Transverse Palmar Crease (what a handful that title is!). About one in thirty people have one, or one in both palms. It can be linked with neurodiverse conditions too. It’s interesting to see Marjorie’s comment –

“Mars Jupiter conjunction on his Ascendant – boundless energy and enthusiasm, wholehearted involvement can veer towards fanaticism, might makes right, a tendency to go on ‘holy crusades’ as a cover for less acceptable motives (i.e. power grabs.)”

The STPC signals intensity, blending the head line and heart line together – mind and emotions inextricably linked. I’ve noticed that individuals with this line can struggle to separate feelings from thoughts, so veering ‘towards fanaticism’ with Mars Jupiter makes perfect sense.

Overall, the whole ‘project’ is disturbing, bewildering, and hopefully it disappears – like a pantomime villain – in a puff of smoke. The clockwork orange has been over-wound……

  4. Blair is also involved in the UK compulsory ID card program, which is worrying. The Guardian reported yesterday: ‘His institute, which is heavily funded by the foundation of Larry Ellison, the founder of the US tech company Oracle, says it will “directly improve the government’s fiscal position by reducing benefit fraud, improving the efficiency of tax-revenue collection and helping to better target financial-support payments during crises”’.

    A finger in every pie.

    • Interesting. Blair was dismissively critical of ID cards when they were piloted under a John Major government.
Perhaps Blairs thinking is less rigid than we think.

      • It was in fact under Blair’s government in the early 2000s that the ID card system was proposed, following 9/11 and concerns about illegal immigration and identity theft, but it was unpopular, ultimately failed and was dropped completely in 2010.

        • I perhaps got muddled with the pilot intro dates but the ‘Identity Cards Act 2006’ wiki page states: “Initial attempts to introduce a voluntary identity card were made under the Conservative government of John Major, under then Home Secretary Michael Howard. At the Labour Party conference in 1995, Tony Blair demanded that “instead of wasting hundreds of millions of pounds on compulsory ID cards as the Tory Right demand, let that money provide thousands more police officers on the beat in our local communities.”

          • I personally am not fearful of compulsory ID cards and they’ve been extensively used across the continent for many many years.

    • I am so deeply, deeply troubled by Israel’s influence in all this technology. If this isn’t them getting their boots in to bring in censorship, I don’t know what is. Say something they don’t approve of on social media? I believe now it will be easy to track down who published the post, and some kind of punishment like sanctions, stopping access to money or even jail is on the cards. I’m horrified we are moving into such a dangerous future run by men who bypassed therapy and thought severe control and abuse was the best route. Pray tell me, this is just a cyclical phase and it will all pass? I feel like we are all stuck in a looping episode of The Twilight Zone

  5. Great comments, everyone. Like Comey in the US, Blair is one of those ambiguous figures who may think they do good but actually contributes to the degradation of our times. He is seeking redemption in the Holy Land through his messianic complex and delusions of grandeur, but he will not find it there. The problem is not that he sepaks to God, it is that he may think that God answers. A madman among many.

  6. Isn’t Blair’s Jupiter conjunct Algol in his Relocation Chart? Our own Government is having a hard time under Algol, which was prominent on their Election night , we don’t need Blair charging into the Middle East on his White Horse with another prominent Algol Chart – do we? Especially for Britain!

  7. Blair –
    a) He’s Taurus, one of the favoured signs for dictators
    b) All those Fixed signs especially Pluto in 4th, Aquarius Moon and a Sun Jupiter in Taurus make him inordinately stubborn.
    c) His Pluto squares his Sun/Jupiter midpoint – which Ebertin in negative mode describes as: conflict caused by arrogant and pretentious demeanour. Can be materialistic.
    d) Mars Jupiter conjunction on his Ascendant – boundless energy and enthusiasm, wholehearted involvement can veer towards fanaticism, might makes right, a tendency to go on ‘holy crusades’ as a cover for less acceptable motives (i.e. power grabs.)

I remember early on a palmist saying he had something notable on his hands. Simian lines or something.

There was a great cartoon years with theoretical physicists searching for the ‘god’ particle and up popped Blair.

    • “b) All those Fixed signs especially Pluto in 4th, Aquarius Moon and a Sun Jupiter in Taurus make him inordinately stubborn.”
Hmm, another body with a lot of planets in fixed signs is of course the EU. And Blair has been consistently very pro-EU. Indeed, the then Leader of the Opposition, William (now Lord) Hague, had made a joke at Prime Ministers Questions in the Commons, about the then Prime Minister (Gordon) Brown having to receive President (of the EU) Blair at 10 Downing Street. There is a clip of that PMQs on Youtube somewhere. I’ll try and find it.

Marjorie, have you done a composite and combines chart for Blair and the EU? I presume that both their fixed signs planets must influence each other.

  8. Many years ago I had a tarot / astrological reading from a fairly well-known astrologer. In discussion he mentioned that he had been invited on TV to look at Blair’s astrology – this was at the time of the Iraq war and his cosying up to Bush (and kneeling together in prayer.) He ran through what he was going to say on air with the producers and they stopped him from mentioning the following: He had asserted that the astrology indicated that Blair “heard voices” and that he would believe that “God was telling him what to do” and that he was “God’s messenger”. Marjorie’s mention of the ego trip and Messiah complex resonated with what I was told 30 years ago.

    • I have first hand experience of a very senior civil servant at Camp David, Blair and Bush planning the Iraq war. They both genuinely believed that Saddam was the anti Christ. Literally. Where does the fervent delusional madness come from on his chart?

      • I have always been drawn to Blair’s 4th house Pluto as being one driving force for his behaviour. Growing up he had an ill father, troubled home atmosphere with a sense of foreboding about what ran below the surface but was never expressed. There’s a fearfulness in him which makes him want to grab control. I always reckoned he sided with GWB over Iraq because he wanted to ‘play with the big boys’ – partly ego since he likes being centre stage but also father issues writ large. Add that on to the neurotic side of Saturn Neptune – plus the intransigence of Neptune square Uranus which can refuse to take on board evidence that contradicts fervently held beliefs. Plus strong Jupiter Pluto.
But still I agree it is not that obvious. Chiron in his 9th?
Melanie Rhinehart says – wounded by god. Brings a passionate devotional zeal Probably worth exploring that.

        • Thank you for the observations about a fourth house Pluto, Marjorie.

I suppose that it shows the importance of reading the chart as a whole. I have a fourth house Pluto as well, but I didn’t have any of the issues that Blair had, listed above. My mother was a bit overbearing (Moon also in the fourth house and same sign as Pluto, but not conjunct or within orb), but was still loving and caring.

People and charts can be complicated at times.

  9. Blair was extremely popular with Iraqi Kurds who had many atrocities perpetrated against them. (Weirdly, there are many Kurds who are named Tonyblair after him.) See The Guardian article ‘We love Bush. We love Blair’ 9.4.2023

  10. This is sick. That a Brit would even consider this plan is so completely ignorant and arrogant given the Brit’s role in the horrendous treatment of the Palestinians since the Balfour Declaration of 1917 and the Palestinian expulsion from Israel starting in 1948. Never mind that Blair committed British forces to Iraq in 2003 despite admitting to acting on flawed intelligence with no proof of weapons of mass destruction. He should be kept as far away as possible from the Arab world. I’ve already read how his commitment to not displace any further Palestinians from Gaza would be disregarded under the guise of challenging the definition of “annexation”. I’ve also read how only one of the 10-member transition team would be Palestinian. Whaaaat? I’m at a loss for words….

(and sorry, Marjorie for my non-astrology post and my excitement. Passions are running a bit high these days)

    • Surreal was the politest description I could use. It was bad enough when he was made Middle East envoy considering the wreckage he was partly responsible for in Iraq – but this??
