Texas floods – eclipse alerted watery disaster

The Texas flash floods in the early hours of the 4th July have claimed over a hundred dead, including a number of children at summer camp, with more than 160 people still missing and numbers rising.

The previous Lunar Eclipse of March set for Texas has Neptune and (shipwrecking) Scheat on the IC with Moon close to the Midheaven, all of which make sense of a devastating watery disaster close to home. With a regretful Sun Saturn in Pisces trine an 8th house Mars. [Houses are not supposed to matter for eclipses but my experience is the 8th house often crops up for disasters.]

The upcoming September Lunar Eclipse set for Texas has the Sun Mercury close to the Midheaven with Moon on the IC and an exact Uranus on the Descendant – with hard questions being asked in the aftermath about whether cuts to government agencies had led to damaging delays in alerting residents.

The flood happened with the two aggravated Pluto and Mars yods still in place; and Venus Uranus conjunct the destructive Fixed star Algol as well.

  1. The event went from July 4-July 7. Jupiter 5° Cancer was rising at the “SEEK HIGHER GROUND NOW!” message. The Sabian symbol is “an automobile wrecked by a train”. As bad as that one is it is followed by the most malefic symbol of Cancer and possibly the entire zodiac. Jupiter reached that degree late on the 5th after a day of pulling survivors from the river. “Game birds feathering their nest.” Bereaved parents. Orphaned children.

Aberfan had Ceres on 6° Cancer.

I had a thought about how modern communication contributed to this disaster. It is a crutch in many ways.

In a world where no warning system existed, would you have slept next to the river as 10″ of rain fell?Too many eyes are looking down at their phones and not up at the sky and animals behavior.

The warnings said people needed to be observant of incoming rain as there was a flash flood risk but when that rain began falling only a few were watching for it.

  2. I also wanted to say for the recent flood:
The National weather service issued a series of timely alerts: a flood watch early in the afternoon on July 3, a flash flood warning at 1:14 a.m. July 4, and a flash flood emergency at 4:03 a.m. July 4, before any in-person reports of flooding had been received.

Communicating the warnings to the public was made more difficult because the flooding happened in the middle of the night in an area without a robust emergency communication system. Also, it was the Fourth of July weekend, when many people there weren’t local residents — meaning they may have had less knowledge of the flash flooding risks that were present.

There were cuts at two of the weather offices near the flooding but it was reported that that both offices were fully staffed before the floods and at the time of the floods.

    • Please provide, along with any astrological insights, substantial and verifiable references to your statements, thank you!

  3. There was also a flood near San Antonio June 12, early about 5 a.m. It killed 13 people.

My brother’s best friend died and was swept away when the truck tried to cross a road. They had climbed into the bed of the truck and a wall of water hit him in the face. Took three days to find him.

He had just turned 63 May 5. His son and a friend were with him and luckily were able tread water for an hour before a rescue boat found them and pulled them onboard.

Flood waters can be deceptive and you cannot gauge how fast or deep the water is especially in the dark.

So sad to learn it happened again this month and killed many more including children.
