Electrical carmaker Tesla’s share price has dropped 40% since the start of the year, mainly due to a drop in sales over the past year though founder Elon Musk’s close alliance with Trump is hurting the brand and worries about tariffs affecting supply chains are also part of the problem.
Tesla, 1 July 2003, with Saturn, Mercury, Sun all in Cancer, catching the undermining tr Neptune Saturn in Aries square from 2026 through till 2030 does not look successful. Plus tr Uranus square the Uranus Mars in early Pisces in 2026/27 will bring high insecurity. With the Solar Arc Neptune in a high anxiety conjunction to the Mars/Uranus midpoint in 2026 and then in a panicky failure SA Neptune conjunct Mars in 2027. Nothing cheerful ahead, quite the reverse.
The Tesla IPO 29 June 2010, another Sun Mercury in Cancer opposition Pluto square Uranus Jupiter in Aries is similarly afflicted by tr Neptune conjunct the Uranus and Jupiter from almost now onwards and then square Pluto and finally square the Sun Mercury – making all of the rest of this decade a slide downhill.
Elon Musk, 28 June 1971 7.30am Pretoria, South Africa, will also be shaken up and discouraged by tr Saturn Neptune in Aries square his Cancer Sun in 2026/27. Even before then tr Uranus will rattle up his Neptune in Sagittarius opposition Saturn from this July onwards for high anxiety and jolting changes. His Pluto is also catching yesterday’s Virgo Lunar Eclipse and the September Solar Eclipse – for a change-or-disintegrate hint. He does have some Jupiterian blips ahead for luck but in general will not look back on this period of his life with much pleasure.
His relationship chart with Trump is odd (assuming birth data is sound). There is a businesslike composite Sun Saturn conjunction being undermined all year by tr Neptune in square. That was in effect late last year, across the Inauguration and beyond, and repeats November to late January 2026. This month to early July sees tr Pluto square the composite Neptune for maximum confusion about their association (maybe plans not working) – and that repeats on and off till late 2026. From mid 2026, assuming togetherness still holds, tr Uranus will square the composite Pluto for a significant upheaval and that runs into 2027.
Neptune is doing very odd things both with Trump who is swimming in it this year but showing no signs of sinking yet.
Add On: Spacex, partially owned and founded by Elon Musk on 14 March 2002, is the world’s dominant space launch provider. With Jupiter in early Cancer square Venus (Moon) in early Aries it will be undermined by transiting Saturn Neptune in Aries. With Mercury in Pisces square Saturn in Gemini also taking a fair battering from tr Uranus in Gemini in 2026 and beyond.
The Spacex/Elon Musk relationship chart also looks less than upbeat from now onwards for two or three years.
Ditto his relationship with Tesla which is being badly shaken this year, more so in 2026 to 2028.
That is just the best photo for Musk. He’s not a man, he’s a…..
Musk named Tesla for the extraordinary, eccentric inventor, Nikola Tesla – a man whose understanding of electricity was a transformative force in our modern world. Tesla was born in Croatia at a time when the old style Julian Calendar was in use. That gives him a birth date of 28 June, 1856 – sharing a birthday day with Elon Musk. Using the Gregorian Calendar, the date is 10th July, 1856. Electric Uranus is 23 Taurus, Neptune 20 Pisces, so perhaps in tune with the current relationship between Uranus and Neptune.
Tesla’s Saturn in Cancer, 5 degrees, squares Jupiter, 8 Aries and connects with Musk’s natal Sun, 5 Cancer. The IPO chart here has Sun 7 Cancer, while Tesla Motors has Saturn 3 Cancer. USA 1776 has Jupiter 5 Cancer, the Musk/Trump composite Venus is 7 Cancer. Transiting Saturn and Neptune in Aries could have an interesting effect, restricting and dissolving in turn, or offering the chance to restructure things in imaginative ways?
I think you are about a century out. It was the 18th century that the calendar changed.
The change to the Gregorian calendar has many dates, depending on which country you are looking at. Changes start from 1583 in western European Catholic countries, 1752 in Britain and the “First Empire” including the eastern United States. The Austro-Hungarian Empire, which included modern Croatia, changed to Gregorian in 1891. Plus national geographic boundaries, particularly in Europe, have changed frequently. Lots of complications for astrologers to deal with….
Thanks AnnieB! Yes, the calendar changes are complicated indeed, and made more twisty by the continued use of the Julian calendar by various Orthodox Churches – Greek, Russian and so on.
Linda – here’s something from the Skyscript website about Tesla’s birth recorded on 28th June. The planets I’ve looked at are those for the Greg. Calendar, so the planetary alignments with other charts should fit and maybe create a wider pattern to think about. I’ve read that Musk is fascinated by Tesla, and must have noticed that they shared a birthday.
“Tesla was born “at the stroke of midnight” with lightning striking during a summer storm. He was born to a Serbian family in Smiljan, (the Military Frontier of Austria-Hungary, now in Croatia). The midwife commented, “He’ll be a child of the storm,” to which his mother replied, “No, of light.” Tesla was baptized in the Old Slavonic Church rite. His Baptism Certificate reports that he was born on June 28 (Julian calendar; July 10 in the Gregorian calendar) 1856, and christened by the Serbian orthodox priest, Toma Oklobdzija.” Skyscript
I was thinking yesterday, and I am at the same time breathless and just unmoved, how quickly the American system crashed. It happened almost instantly. Trump does what he wants, and even the judiciary seems increasingly powerless. Checks and balances gone. Inexistent. The only way something bigger might happen if the pockets of the Americans start pulverizing. Dollar is king.
There is a 2023 article by Marjorie on the US Dollar, which suggests that it will face turbulence from about now, 2025-26 to 2027-28.
Dollar may be king, but the guillotine is beckoning.
“the widow, the barber, the national razor”
Friends have compared the past month or so to the 53 days it took for Hitler to dismantle democracy.
For all its so-called checks and balances, the US Constitution actually has very little to prevent a dictatorship. Its founders relied greatly on their own wisdom over that of the people, so ironically a populist like Trump has been helped more by the inequalities intrinsic to the system (esp once the Supreme Court was taken over) than not. They also built in inequities because some wanted to hang onto their slaves; centuries later, those sins have been passed down the generations, with a large portion of MAGA still resenting the Civil War loss, openly racist and dreaming of returning to their Confederate roots.
I can’t help but think back to Mad King George – now we’ve got another Mad man who wants to be King. Meanwhile, one French politician is suggesting that Americans return the Statue of Liberty, for which the nation no longer stands. History sort of, but never exactly repeats itself. But I sure hope we can also get rid of this would-be king.
(love that racing car with mouse photo, Marjorie!)

Elon Musk faces week of harsh setbacks amid Tesla selloff and Doge backlash
After a SpaceX rocket exploded, investors offloaded Tesla shares and Doge hit legal roadblocks, the world’s richest man saw his fortune sink by $100bn
Marjorie, can you look at StarLink–I just read or heard that the satellites are falling form the sky. I know that some countries (Canada) have cancelled contracts or have banned use of that means of connecting internet/cell services.
If anyone has a definitive start date or incorporation date for Starlink I would be grateful.
Starlink is owned by Spacex and Musk. incorporation of spacex goes for starlink most prob as it is not traded.
Thank you for the article, Marjorie.
The reason for me requesting this article was that, at least in the recent past, Musk seems to negatively impact any brand that he is associated with. Witness Twitter/X, for instance.
He owns only 20% of Tesla, with about 64% owned by institutional investors (Vanguard, for instance, owns about 6-7% of the company). While he may be the man with the vision, could the institutional investors defenestrate him from his roles within the company if he drives the value of the company far too low?
As an aside, for non-Americans, it may be worth looking at the portfolios of your pension funds and look into whether it is worth divesting from US based assets.
Does a parting of the way between Tesla and Musk appear in the charts?
Musk has some 12% of Tesla vs 42% of spacex which will likely be the next most valuable company ever. Also as most pension funds are controlled by Vanguard, State St or Blackrock that is going to be hard as the US stock exchange is at some 63% of world stock markets. It would be interesting to find out what yr portfolio is invested in and remove the US content…government employee pensions are mostly invested in UK assets here but that is a different story of a pension Balance Sheet ‘Black Hole’ of about £400bn in respect of unfunded public sector pension promises…
SpaceX is currently at a paltry $350bn valuation (67% up on prior year) with a poss IPO in 2025 or 2026…
It is interesting how Tesla is caught up in the Neptune transit of 0° Aries. Tesla’s Uranus completes a Grand Fire Trine in Musk’s natal chart. Neptune is not a planet that treats Musk unkindly. His natal Neptune is conjunct Jupiter. Pisces on the ninth.
The Aries Neptune is trine Musk’s Sagittarius Neptune completing a Grand Trine with his Leo Juno. This should be a period of rejuvenated creative impulses. Musk already has a lot of this but I would expect this year to be filled with new creative pursuits. Maybe this is the year he cracks the AI driving problem.
With regards to Trump, it is the Pisces north node (loosely conjunct Neptune) – Virgo south node that is in play. Trump is feeding on Neptunian chaos and using the south node to order the result how he wants it. The tariffs are part of this because, in America, they are associated with the transit of Neptune.
Re: The AI driving problem, China is already beating him to it. https://www.economist.com/china/2025/03/13/chinas-super-smart-tesla-killers
A better businessman would have stayed in his own lane and not have opted to play US President with a wrecking ball.
interesting Lumiere. Tesla has literally just announced a free one month trial in FSD full service driving in China. Analysts see the trial as a path to autonomous adoption in Tesla cars.
