The Switzerland night club fire has claimed at least 40 lives with over a hundred injured, many with third degree burns, though it could take days or even weeks to be sure of the numbers.
It broke out at 1.30am in Crans, Switzerland, on January 2026 with Jupiter in Cancer conjunct the Midheaven (as was the case for 9/11) indicating the expansive planet’s propensity for turning up at disasters as well as successes. There was a high vitality Sun, Mars, Venus in Capricorn which suited an entertaining night out for the young; with the unfortunate and worrisome Saturn Neptune Scheat in the 6th house of health; and a shattering Uranus Algol as well as a Gemini Moon in the 8th all in an unsettling trine to Pluto in the 4th – the last hinting at a trapped environment.
The Switzerland 12 September 1848 12.55pm Bern chart has a yod of Pluto sextile Neptune inconjunct Mars Venus in Libra on the apex which will be undermined soon by tr Saturn in opposition and then tr Neptune, but not exactly at the moment. So either the repercussions will take time to sink in, or this is one of these events which presages major events to come for Switzerland which will put it on a new trajectory. The Switzerland Solar Arc Mars in final degree Pisces is catching the tr Neptune Scheat in opposition exactly now which does hint at disasters; and Nessus is square the SA Sun exactly as well. Three accident-prone Mars midpoints are being triggered.
The recent September solar eclipse at 29 degrees Virgo was highlighted for Switzerland – with Pluto on the Midheaven and Uranus on the Ascendant, and being triggered at the moment by tr Neptune Scheat in opposition to the eclipsed New Moon. So that fits regrettably. What a horror.

The bar the Constellation has been listed on the Trade Register of the canton of Valais, the 3rd of novembre 2015. There is a conjunction of mars/venus/jupiter/north node in Virgo (impacted by the recent eclipse) inconjunct uranus in aries… so sad
Marjorie I am always surprised when you refer to Capricorn as an upbeat, in this case “party” sign. To me Capricorn is rather dour. I have always found the fire and air signs to be the life of the party so-to-speak. Geminis and Libras being social butterflies, Leo being the life of the party, Aries and Aquarius behaving outrageously and Sagittarius being the cool one. A gross generalisation of course. The chart(s) of the owner(s) of the nightclub could be illuminating in analysing this awful event. They clearly have failed to provide safe exits, safe fireproof finishes in the ceiling and have allowed multiple naked flames within the club – now they will be held to account.
Capricorn has an exceedingly indulgent side – an earth sign after all. But it was the socially-ambitious plus sociable 5th house which was more the point. Capricorns can be dour materialists. But Elvis Presley was one and Tiger Woods – enjoying themselves is also a factor for some caps.
Agree. Capricorn energy feels low key. More ‘doing’ than necessarily ‘enjoying’ the party scene.
Given the tender ages of those hospitalised, and early media reports – it appears those poor souls were terribly let down by inadequate safety procedures e.g. activating an immediate evacuation plan and allowing reckless activities (indoor dancing with sparklers).
The consequences (Cap) will reverberate for a long time to come.
It appears many of the missing are 16 year old teenagers. The Solar Eclipse in September 2025 set for Crans occurred in the 5th House associated with young people, entertainment, pleasure etc. The eclipse was ill starred with it opposing Neptune and Saturn within orb of Scheat. The North Node was in 5th House when the fire occurred.

Tragic event. It reminded me of the Station Nightclub fire of 2003 in which 100 people died. The tour manager of the performing band that night proceeded to unleash the pyrotechnics as the band was onstage and as a result multiple sparks began to ignite the venue’s flammable acoustic foam. The venue of the Swiss fire’s ceiling was similarly coated with flammable foam and wood. It was a tinder box and there will be multiple lawsuits as a result. The Station nightclub disaster astrology also has an Air Moon, in Libra forming a Grand Trine in Air along with Saturn in Gemini and Uranus in Aquarius as well as a Mars/Pluto conjunction in firey Sagittarius opposing the Gemini Saturn.
