Scott Adams, the cartoonist, creator of the highly popular Dilbert, which satirized office culture, has announced he has a similar prostate cancer to Joe Biden that has spread to his bones.
His thesis was that “leadership is nature’s way of removing morons from the productive flow”. ‘By the Dilbert principle, employees who were never competent are promoted to management to limit the damage they can do.’
In recent years, Adams has come under fire for espousing far-right views and conspiracy theories on social media and was dropped by newspapers who carried his work.
Born 8 June 1957 2.30am New York, he has a Gemini Sun in his communicative 3rd house opposition an 8th house Saturn. His creative, attention-seeking and influential 5th house Pluto is in a dogmatic square to Mercury in Taurus. His Mercury is also trine Jupiter in Virgo in his hard-working 6th house, sextile heated Mars in Cancer in his emotional 4th house.

Tr Pluto started to square his Moon in 2021, moving on to square his Neptune in 2024/25. He said he was diagnosed with cancer some time ago which might fit with those influences. And his Progressed Moon has been moving through his 12th house since 2022 which can be an inward looking time of endings (though not necessarily as dramatic or difficult as this).

I’m sorry for him. He does seem a bit odd now that I’ve read some of his opinions and don’t know where this mess of confusing thoughts come from. Some are unacceptable. But I’m thinking he probably carried some internal problem, some psychological issue or something in his life, he didn’t know how to deal with or externalize and then it maybe turned into illness.
Mercury square Pluto is an intense aspect.
It can speak of fascination with the hidden, manipulative communication, difficulty with self-expression, outbursts when communicating.
It can be dark and intense. It can be both a blessing and a curse (as can all the other aspects as well).
Maybe in it lies the key.
Though I never would have said such a character is behind Dilbert back when I did not know who was behind.

Dilbert was one we all found solace in during beginning of career ladder and learnt how to handle bosses and other depts
Actually, he’s right because that is one of major reasons people end up opening own shop or starting own business. In 2016, 85% quit jobs because of horrible bosses. Today , I am sure ,it must be nearly 90% and the natural justice of sychophancy is that bosses who promote their sychophants and force competent to quit or become one…r ones shown door….not rejoicing but this recession and layoffs was overdue since 2008 didn’t clean the upper ones

He means so many people have been recommending Ivermectin and FenBen which he did try (he’s stage 4, you’ll try most things then) that he doesn’t want more armchair docs giving him advice.
I like Scott, tho not that interested in many things he talks about such as AI and robots. He has Mercury square Pluto which I imagine makes for a very intense person but I think as you age you learn and I’ve always impressed he can see both sides of a story and is open to being wrong. I do wish him the best as I would anyone facing such a disease.
He’s always been a bit out there. His 1997 book “The Dilbert Future” is a standard collection of his thoughts and cartoons on work and corporations. Then in the last chapter it veers off into talking about New Age stuff like using affirmations to create your future – how he used them to pass a test that he shouldn’t have passed, buying stock and to make him a best-selling cartoonist. “The Secret” before Rhonda. I was just about to make a sarcastic comment about how he might use visualisation to cure his cancer and then I remembered he actually tells the story about having a lump which his physician says may or may not be cancer so he uses affirmations to ensure it isn’t.
Adams is also a firm believer in manifestation and power of affirmations – he even made a Dilbert comic about it. I think Wikipedia links to it. He claims it really worked for him in many instances.
It is odd – do you know when he started to swing right?
@Marjorie and other knowledgeable astrologers, is there any astrological marker for a sudden shift in ideological views, as with Adams and others who have gone full-MAGA or embraced other extremist views? This could be political, religious or other ideology that might reject a prior mindset or lifestyle in favor of something else, perhaps even a cult?

Anatomy of a Revolution, short book, talks about how the general public go from supporting revolution to how the the revolution ends. It is such a good predictor I think the marker is Neptune.
Fall of the Old Regime. Elites begin to lose self confidence and begin to feel that their privileges are unjust or harmful to society. Usually part of an economic crises. Revolutions are born of hope. Obama’s hope and change was 17 years ago. Brinton actually has a quote “the revolution, like Saturn, devours it children”. Power begins to go from right to center to left. There is a honeymoon period for the revolution. Seems like the cusp of Capricorn and Aquarius. Neptune in Aquarius began 1998.
The next stage is Dual power. A new legal moderate revolutionary government begins but a shadow radical governmemt also begins. Radicals begin to gain ascendancy due to not having to work on the regular work of governing. The radicals focus is stronger and they can avoid some of the unpopularity of the moderate government who is still working with the old machinery of government and its old policies. The moderates begin to be attacked by the better organized small group of radicals and are also still being attacked by the conservatives causing the radicals to gain the ascendancy. Aquarius sandwiched between Capricorn and Pisces? Neptune in Pisces begin 2012.
The third stage is the Reign of Terror and Virtue. Usually begins as rule by a committee. Virtues are puritanical in nature. Terror is the suppression of the opposition by force. This then catches regular citizens up in its net and politics becomes central to regular life. Moderates stop taking part in government/voting. At some point, the committee suppresses even more extreme radicals and this marks the end of the power shifting from right to left. End of Aquarius through Pisces to at least the cusp of Aries. Neptune in Aries this year in 2025.
Final stage is Thermidor. Power is now shifting right. Tyrant installed. Regular people are in convalesence from revolutionary fever. Pre-revolutionary policies return, reaction against the puritanism, replacement of the missonary spirit to aggressive nationalism. Aries. Neptune leaves Aries 2038.

In Indian astrology they use the “gochar” or current position of the planet…i have observed that does bring drastic changes in life but then when it goes to another position , it’s back to what one was born with.
If I m not wrong, conservatives r associated with Saturn since he has the orthodox, to the rules and patriarchal parts ..the austerity and strict parts. So maybe Saturn posted in 1st house or 11h as 1h is mindset and 11h of wishes…might make one conservative for time being.
People often say you get more conservative as you age so Saturn definitely seems implicated in this.
