Can you please look at the outlook for US Supreme Court? With the March lunar Virgo eclipse conjunct the Court’s 7th House Virgo Moon and opposite the Court’s Saturn and Venus in Pisces close to the ascendant, in addition to the transiting Pisces Saturn and Neptune in same region, it potentially portends a Constitutional Crisis as the administration increasingly dismissed court decisions. Using the February 2, 1790, 8:30 AM LMT, New York, New York date for Supreme Court’s natal info.
Very much non astro but for Marjorie and all francophiles everywhere, the movie The tasting (La degustation) is out in the UK…I think you will love it 🙂
On March 18, T plans to release the remaining “papers” on JFK’s assassination. Was it the man holding the black umbrella? The woman wearing the babushka? Did the shots come from “the grassy knoll”?
Does it matter any longer?
I think this will be overshadowed by other news. I’m currently at a bus in Helsinki, and the police has cut the traffic from Center to airport. Big news coming on Ukraine?
Zelinskyy is in Finland while Putin and Trump will have their call.
This is practically an unannounced State Visit, Olena is here too. But I can’t help but wonder about the timing, with Germany announcing 500 billion € defense spending and France saying they’ll send Rafaeles with nuclear warheads to Germany by 2035. I think Erdogan is up to something too, China telling they will contribute to rebuilding Ukraine. And Putin making Trump wait…
Truly appreciate your knowledge and postings. How did you become so sagely worldwise?
@Solaia
The accepted view is now that Mr Trump is uniting Europe as never before and it may be well be that he will make Europe great again.
Here are the specifics of Mark Carney’s birth data, from a current NWT news source referring to a NWT news publication from March, 1965 which is held in NWT archives.
Here’s the news article from the newspaper publication and reference to the March 16th, 1965 edition; apparently, same day birth & obituary announcements were a regular occurrence.
P.S. I attempted to send this to you via contact form and Send button seemed to be passive…
Interesting. That means that the recent lunar eclipse on 14th March would have been the Sun for both his natal Sun and his inauguration Sun.
Hi Marjorie,
There’s more and more news around the non regulated Counselling and Psychotherapy professions in the UK.
As a fellow therapist, I’d like to know what astrology sais about this?
It does sound like there’s conversations about possible regulation in the pipeline with the current government.
Thanks in advance 🙂
T has invoked the ancient 1798 Alien Enemies Act to tackle so-called Venezuelan gang infiltration.
Of course, a pretext to collect anyone considered an alien enemy, including resident Canadians and Greenlanders.
However, with Merc retro and Venus retro, this will come to backfire on his ploy.
Astro thoughts welcomed.
The swearing-in of Mark Carney began at 11.24 am (36 seconds) the 14th of march in Ottawa. Pluto is almost exact on the decendant!

Milo Đukanović (15 February 1962, Nikšić, Montenegro) ruled Montenegro from about 1991 in various roles, until he was defeated in the 2020 parliamentary elections.
A lot of things are afoot, and I don’t we have the faintest idea yet of what exactly might they be.
Me neither, EA! Strange times.
Non-urgent, when you have the time, Marjorie, can you have another look at Tesla in particular.
A search on this site suggests two posts, in 2022 and 2017 and I think events have overtaken both those posts.
Due to the antics of its public face, the proto-President of the United States, sales of Tesla vehicles have slumped in the rest of the world. And there have been some very amusing takes on those vehicles posted across London (search on Twitter and Bluesky). It has been dubbed “the Swasticar” which goes from “0 to 1939” in seconds.

I suspect (I could be wrong, but I suspect) that it is likely the work of the British protest group “Led by Donkeys” (“Lions led by donkeys” was a phrase used for the British Army in both the Crimean War and WWI). Google them for more of their protest work.
They had recently projected an image of Musk’s questionable hand gesture/salute on the Tesla gigafactory in Germany with the word “Heil” super-imposed. Google it.
Would be happy to send them and Steve Bray (a protestor who was always shouting and drowning out politicians speaking in public. Nominative determinism, etc) to the US, except that Trump’s revival of an archaic (the word to use to describe anything that is old that you disapprove of) law would allow them to be deported easily.
There have been a spate of so-called guerilla fake Tesla adverts and anti-Elon ad posters all over London recently. Eg: “Goes from 0 to 1939 in 3 seconds – Tesla Swazticar.” “Tesla – Now with White Power steering”, and “Elon Musk is a ****end!” Very British and rather Pluto in Aquarius I felt.
I’ll try and purchase some bumper stickers of those slogans.
For your records Marjorie if it helps.
I watched the BBC feed of Mark Carney being sworn in as Prime Minister in Ottawa at I’d say 11:28am – but it was a 5minute ceremony beginning at 11:25am and ending at 11:30am.
Commentators suggest he will probably capitalise on the momentum and call a snap election to take place in next 2-3months rather than wait for the one scheduled in October. Apparently he’s the first Canadian Prime Minister to hold the position without having a seat in parliament.
Definitely not the first. Canada has a history of electing party leaders from outside Parliament, who then call general elections or stand for elections in a by-election.
I came across a post on Twitter that there may have been as many as six Canadian Prime Ministers who became Prime Ministers without a seat in Parliament.
Note that it is possible even in the UK to become a Prime Minister without a seat in Parliament. However both major parties have internal rules that their leader must be a sitting MP.
Found an article about Canadian Prime Ministers without a seat in Parliament.
I stand corrected. I clearly wasn’t listening carefully – whatever I heard was said during the preamble while they were waiting for ceremonies to begin. Perhaps it was to do with never having held any elected position.
@GD: hello there. I read that Merc, along with Venus, now retrograde.
For merc: “This Mercury retrograde begins in the sign of Aries, and — from March 15 through March 29 — you should expect unnecessarily hot tempers, bold declarations that age like raw milk, and technology failures that make you genuinely consider becoming Luddite. ”
Changes to come, down the road. Greenland, Ukraine war, and Russia. ALong with US events.
Hey Larry – it’s all quite amazing how much Trump has upset the global applecart.
I made comment late last year that I expected the world to be in a very different state of affairs in 2026-27 once the big outers moved on – Pluto into Aqua, Uranus into Gemini, Saturn / Neptune into Aries. It certainly looks that way although I’d expected it to be more of a positive vibe. Anyway still 3 more to move on …
Just happened across a blurb abt Isabel Hickey’s book Pluto or Minerva: The Choice Is Yours. Seems fitting to post some of her ideas, about the lunar aspect of Pluto during a full blood moon eclipse, below. I believe the last two sentences quoted refer to the glyph of Pluto on the book cover.
Has her material played a part in your study, Marjorie ?
( “…Pluto, the most invisible of all planets, represents the energy in us which is unknown on the surface but which works ceaselessly in the depths of our being…. For some people Pluto remains a non-functioning influence, the reason for the lethargy and apathy seen in so many …. Pluto rules Scorpio. Minerva, goddess of wisdom, rules the highest aspect of Pluto. Every growth begins in the darkness and grows toward the light. Before the higher aspect can be reached, the personality has to be dissolved in the universal solvent. Sacrifice is the secret of Neptune. The cross is piercing the Moon, the personality. In the Minerva aspect of Pluto, the symbol is the cross below the chalice, and the symbol of the Sun, the eternal spirit, has risen above the cross where it is cradled by the Moon…)
I always felt like the Pluto glyph was lifting up the Sun. This is very interesting way of interpreting, “The Sun rising above it”.
I haven’t ready Isabel Hickey but what she says about Pluto does hit the mark – “…Pluto, the most invisible of all planets, represents the energy in us which is unknown on the surface but which works ceaselessly in the depths of our being…. For some people Pluto remains a non-functioning influence, the reason for the lethargy and apathy seen in so many.”
In a consultation, the one planet which often evokes a blank response is Pluto. Many people seem to find it difficult to grasp how a natal Pluto (house and aspects) operates in their lives or indeed that it has any effect at all. It is often screamingly obvious to those close but remains shielded from view in the individual – until sometimes there is a calamitous wake up call when all becomes clear.
Thanks A. The glyph with the solar disc held by curved Moons or horns, is very reminiscent of the head-dress worn by Egyptian cow-headed goddess Hathor, and her son, the bull Apis, a god associated with Osiris, a dying and resurrecting god of the underworld. These figures are also associated with the life force. Destruction and rebirth can be linked with Pluto’s influence or transits, a ‘hero’s journey’ of sorts perhaps? But when the invitation comes, it has to be accepted and we are free to hesitate or turn back at the threshold. Does this maybe apply to all the outer planets? Those who hold back or refuse the invitation might then ‘congeal’ as Marie Louise von Franz puts it!
“The Apis was a protector of the deceased and linked to the pharaoh. Horns embellish some of the tombs of ancient pharaohs and Apis often was depicted on private coffins as a powerful protector. As a form of Osiris, ruler of the underworld, it was believed that to be under the protection of Apis would give the person control over the four winds in the afterlife.” Wiki
Just today/now, I learnt that I was born in the shadow (two-three days after) of a lunar eclipse a few decades ago obviously. But by the time I was born, the Sun, Moon and Nodes had parted ways and the Nodes in particular were almost a sign away from the Sun & Moon.
How does being born on an eclipse affect a person? And please, no comparisons to the bad penny of the United States.
Today’s lunar eclipse is conjunct my Sun and MC almost exactly. Hoping that it is not too disruptive.
Hello Marjorie,
I was wondering if you could have a look on the arrestation of Rodrigo Roa Duterte, former Philippines President, for crime against humanity. He was arrested on march 12th and the aries solar eclipse will be on his sun.
Also, in december 2024, four impeachment complains were filed against his daughter, Sara Duterte, actual VP. The trial is set on June 2nd.
Pete Buttigieg announced Thursday he will not run for Michigan’s governorship or the state’s open US Senate seat in 2026, setting up a potential presidential bid in 2028.
Marjorie: quite early-on for an astro forecast…esp with the railroading of Trump for 2028 now in full steam mode. Is Buttigieg a possibility for 2028? Thank you.
Non-astrologically speaking, the Democrats should stick to a Pale, Male and Stale candidate. Trump lost to such a candidate in 2020. But each time the Democrats went for minority candidates (2016 & 2024), they ended up in the minority and lost.
Whether one likes it or not, Pale, Male and Stale wins elections.
Buttigieg may be the first two, but not the third. And being gay makes him a minority candidate and thus likely to lose again.
Stick to Gavin Newsome, Josh Shapiro, even in extremis, Tim Walz.
@Unmystic Mom, it’s a long way to 2028, but I think Newsom is burning his political capital fast right now. He launched a podcast where the first two guests were Charlie Kirk and Steve Bannon, and will now hear Chuck Schumer facing widespread opposition from moderate and swing state Democrats for his willingness to accept the Republican Federal Budget proposal. He is obviously not reading the room, or at least the room that got him elected to Governor. Astrologically, he is my tripple Astro twin, with Libra Sun, Capricorn Moon, Virgo Rising, so I would normally be rooting for him, but he has Pluto (tightly) conjunct Asc and Mars conjunct IC, which has always seemed suspiciously authoritarian to me. He also has some dampening transits in 2028, most importantly Neptune on his 8′ Aries Saturn, although the Inauguration Chart 2029 does have Neptune/Moon on that Saturn. It’s a Cardinal chart overall, so if held at the usual time, would likely bring in someone with those qualities.
@larryc, apparently Mallory McMorrow, who rose to prominence as a passionate defender of public education, and is currently Michigan State Senate Democratic Whip, might run for Michigan Senator. Apparently, she is a personal friend to Pete, too, and he might support her in the race. She is an August 23rd 1986 Leo/Virgo cusp, Aries Moon.
@Solaia, Mallory McMorrow is impressive! I like her a lot. Also, Buttigieg moved to Michigan only within the last couple of years. So no deep roots there for a Senate or governor run, which is usually — but not always — preferred.
Something to help me drink coffee this morning…”The little-known 18th-century law, the Alien Enemies Act of 1798, gives the president tremendous authority to target and remove undocumented immigrants, though legal experts have argued it would face an uphill battle in court. ”
The tariff nonsense has become his signature actions, along with deporting so-called illegals in the US. If all countries have tariffs placed against them by T, who will want to conduct business?
I’m thinking it’ll become his bane, along with Musk/DOGE having power to fire US citizens from the workplace.
Astro-thoughts?
Starmer scrapping NHS England to bring it back under the control of the Government seems like the big news of today’s eclipse. Perhaps the control freakery of his Virgo Sun-Pluto is beginning to show up.
How does his chart interact with that of the NHS and the eclipse?
The 1948 NHS Progressed Saturn has just moved into Virgo which is probably going to mark a major shift in its whole structure and outlook. There was an interesting astrological analysis of the NHS done in this article a few years ago which pretty much predicted what is happening now
The last paragraph of that article is definitely very interesting.
Isn’t Virgo the sign that rules health? Interesting that Saturn has moved there now by progression.
On this day in history Bergoglio became 266th Pope in 2013, and William Herschel discovered Uranus.
Also birth date of American-Romanian cultural historian Mircea Eliade. Romania now being in turmoil over ban on candidacy for the right-wing candidate.
Moonrise tonite, 7:45 pm, was quite pretty. Eclipse come sin another few hrs.
Marjorie, could you do the Canadian foreign minister’s chart, Mélanie Joly, a Capricorn, a probable successor to Carney as future Liberal leader?
Good grief!!! He’s just become Liberal Party leader this week. Give him a few weeks before proposing a successor already.
Hello. Would you please look at WH press sec, Karoline Leavitt? Her first child was born three days before the first assassination attempt. Thanks.
Hi,
Could you please look at Musks child Vivian.
It seems that he’s a bit upset that his boy grew into a girl.
Thank you
If you want a plot twist, try this: T is deliberately bringing down the house, so as to invoke Martial Law and suspend the Constitution. Until the crisis has abated, of course.
Quite kingly, don;t you think?
Of course. L’État, cest moi. The State is me. (Louis XIV in whose honor Louisiana was named.)
Plot twist.Greenland opposition conservative wins (30%) and needs coalition. Independence party comes second (25%).
Still and all, more than half the voters don’t want T to annex the island.
I doubt Greenland operates a first past the post. It has to be Proportional Representation. And Trump has no idea of how to deal with that. Because there is another 45% can make life difficult. The Independence Party will demand a lot of concessions. And a coalition is possible in a number of ways. Not just the obvious way.
I got a Nokia last week. Still have the smart one, but will turn it off more often.
I have one too which I use for all my personal contacts 🙂
Any thoughts on the boycotting of US goods and its astrological markers? I always wondered about organised consumer action being a feature of Uranus in Taurus and now, Pluto in Aquarius. Venus retrograde in Aries seems to be a trigger for this consumer warfare.
(For the context bit) Personally, I don’t know if I am going into an all out deliberate boycott, and if anyone I know is doing so, they’re doing it quietly. I would be more inclined to rethink my support of the tech companies that have acquiesced to MAGA nonsense that things that could affect innocent working people. But having said that, out of curiosity I did buy a certain supermarket’s own brand of cola instead of the 2 American giants, and was surprised at how good it was for 25p a litre. I actually preferred it. I tried to buy some more, but for over a week the shelf has been bare – with the over stacked American branded shelves above it. Yesterday I went into a well known German retailer and saw the same thing.
Very interesting Tara. Venus Rx is a good point – I’d say it favours getting antique bargains or undervalued items, which seems to fit with your bargain cola!
The tech side of current world affairs is fascinating and difficult to understand. Gabriel Gatehouse did a documentary recently on BitCoin, it’s origins, and mysterious ‘inventor’ or inventors. The programme covered some remarkably strange techie philosophies including a widespread rejection of democracy, and the use of cyber currencies to disrupt more or less everything. Using 3 January 2009 as the BitCoin launch date, I can see tr Saturn opposing itself now, having just passed Uranus, 19 Pisces. A Capricorn heavy chart, possibly changing now Pluto has moved on. The acquiescense to MAGA may possibly have another agenda running alongside. Neptune will square the BC Pluto soon, along with Saturn – perhaps a clearer picture may emerge then?
Thanks for the recommendation Jane, that’ll be my next watch (unless it’s a podcast?).
It is interesting seeing the physical stock affected (Venus, Taurus). All those products coming off Canadian shelves does present a potent visual image though I suppose. I don’t know if people are avoiding Amazon etc in the same way. The deeply embedded tech systems (software, servers and of course bitcoin) would be more Aquarius and Scorpio do you think?
You probably know by this evening, Tara, its a filmed documentary! Yes agree about Aquarius and Scorpio for the actual tech. But I wonder about the way it has affected us all in various ways, changed our everyday lives (sixth house/Virgo?), and seemingly cast a spell on many people – Neptune and possibly Moon too? Plus 12th house secrecy, hidden ‘enemies’, and so on. Our online lives have produced a form of 12th house seclusion too – shopping from home, working from home etc. We are more isolated in a way. Is Neptune in Pisces a recluse?
Tech, and especially AI, uses huge amounts of energy and water, so possibly that’s more 12th house symbolism for Neptune and Pisces. Nobody in government ever mentions how much energy AI development will require do they?
I too have a little Nokia. I noticed recently when shopping how more people seem to be using cash again for groceries. Possibly some were alarmed by recent problems with online banking. There’s also the budget angle, it is easier to manage money when you can see it. Again, I wonder about Neptune’s move into Aries, and whether some of Piscean mists will clear? Seeing more individuals reading physical books on public transport is perhaps another tiny sign of something stirring in the dear old collective too. Much to watch, much to ponder….
Thank you Jane, yes I found it on channel 4! I accidentally watched the final episode first, so will catch up with the rest, but I found the ending comparing the cryogenic tomb to Egyptian mummies intriguing!
Excellent point about Neptune and the 12th house – even if true privacy is an illusion and the behaviour patterns from big data are constantly mined.
In a university city where I am sometimes based I have noticed shops popping up selling DVDs and even video and tape cassettes, following the vinyl record shops that have been there a while. And it’s young people that are their customers. I also think about the irony all the undocumented people who power many of these apps and services with their cheap labour – Deliveroo, Uber, Amazon Warehouses etc. Of course these invisible people also suffer as their absence from official statistics means they are disregarded. I suppose this is a 6th/12th house matter too
Hi. Crypto has a footprint that is devastating to the environment.
Just turn off anything and everything that collects data on anything tech-esp discontinue anything AI related sold by Apple and MSFT. Data is the new gold.
Oh and get a Nokia Fliphone-they are great! Heads turn when the ringtone goes.
I got a Nokia last week. Still have the smart one, but will turn it off more often.
Interesting idea. Might be good for safety too with the amount of phone snatches in London at the moment. Perhaps there’s a wider pattern of people rethinking their tech possessions beyond Venus Rx
Do you both use cash instead of cards as well?
Tesco clubcard probably have about 30 years of data on me. The NHS, a lifetime. They will have some catching up to do
No ‘loyalty’ (fealty) cards, use a debit card. CC for travel only-amex is very good for its clients and acts as a rotweiler if anyone messes with them.
@AC, Debit cards can be extremely dangerous because the bad guys can clean out your bank account quickly and you have no recourse but to absorb the losses. In the US at least — I don’t know about elsewhere — banks have no liability to restore customer losses on fraudulent charges on debit cards as they do on credit cards.
@AC: a little overkill, don;t you think?
“Just turn off anything and everything that collects data on anything tech-esp discontinue anything AI related sold by Apple and MSFT. Data is the new gold.”
Conspiracy theories abound. If Big Bro wants to watch me job hunt for part-time work at horse barns, well and good. I’m not a Luddite but I am keen on an analog lifestyle.
it’s not about tracking per se , don’t care about that, it is depriving them of saleable data. Two separate things.
But you pay more money at the till now if you don’t use a loyalty card (if you use 2 certain British supermarkets, at least)
However you can easily mess up the data. I have lent my card a few times to a colleague who is in the country on a temporary contract. That retailer now thinks that I’ve had another baby and developed a taste for jollof rice and Nigerian Guinness
Linking me to my debit card would actually be more accurate
Pre-paid cards don’t have your banking details on them at least that is what I have been told.
Not Canadian here and not (yet) directly affected by 45/47’s antics.
But I have started paying attention to where I shop. And I consciously steer clear of McDonald’s and Starbucks, instead patronising other non-American brands.
I doubt that there will be a widespread boycott of American goods and services. But Trump is, first and foremost, a businessman and a kicking in the wallet may be the only way to send a message to him.
@Unmystic Mom Some people have started boycotting produce from Israel too, I have heard they look at the shelves in Waitrose for instance, they are trying to replicate the boycott during apartheid, no idea whether it works.
@Tara, I am following the boycotts in the US of Trump-aligned Big Box stores and businesses including Amazon on the specified days. Instead of buying at Amazon — which is often tough to avoid — I’m looking for alternate small sellers on eBay and elsewhere routinely now.
I haven’t yet cancelled my Washington Post subscription but that’s nearing my red line of interference with regular news coverage. Unfortunately the owner of the LA Times has also bowed the knee to Dear Leader and the NY Times also has a history of propping up Trump.
There are lots of us in the US that are supporting the boycotts — and are delighted to see the Canadian and international boycotts of US products. I’m ashamed to be an American now with the felonious traitor occupying the White House and abandoning our traditional allies and Ukraine to support Russia.
Hi. Portuguese gov just falled. Please can you see our general situation? Thanks!

There was an interesting astrological analysis of the NHS done in this article a few years ago which pretty much predicted what is happening now
https://www.optimesia.co.uk/blog/the-uk-nhs-an-astrological-review
The last paragraph of that article is definitely very interesting.
Isn’t Virgo the sign that rules health? Interesting that Saturn has moved there now by progression.
On this day in history Bergoglio became 266th Pope in 2013, and William Herschel discovered Uranus.
Also birth date of American-Romanian cultural historian Mircea Eliade. Romania now being in turmoil over ban on candidacy for the right-wing candidate.

Lunar eclipse details.
Thank you larryc
@AC: a little overkill, don;t you think?
Thanks!
