  1. Hi Marjorie,
If it fits in as news develops, I’m wondering whether you might like to take a look at the Garth Brooks sexual assault allegations.
He has a massive Aquarius stellium.
Will Pluto’s imminent reentry into Aquarius intersect with that stellium and ongoing developments with the Me-Too movement, such as the Diddy allegations, etc.?
    Thank you as always.

  2. Marjorie,
Jonathan Haidt, a leading moral psychologist, has written a book “The Anxious Generation” about those born after 1995 as they supposedly suffer from much higher rates of mental illness, anxiety, cutting, etc than previous generations. While he blames social media, is there a broad generational astrological explanation for this?

      • It was exact three times in the 1990s: 2 February 1993, 20 August 1993, and 24 October 1993, but lasted from April 1992 to December 1993, though that depends on the orb, and was before the year you mention.

  3. Marjorie,

An astrological topic for a day when other topics are not overwhelming your attention.

Is there an effect on people of what time of day they were born? In a sense, the placement of the Sun in various Houses.

This thought is because I was reading the Wikipedia article on Imelda Marcos, which states that she was born at dawn. And in my head, I immediately placed her Sun in the 12th conjunct the Ascendant.

Similarly, a noon child (like me) would have their Sun conjunct their MC, while a person born at sunset would have their Sun conjunct the Descendant.

How do these Sun placements affect their personality?

    • I think Jung had Sun conjunct descendant, and it is as if I remember reading somewhere – maybe even here – that such a person needs a partner (7th house) to be complete (Sun as one’s self).

BTW, I wondered something similar to you. Same can be said about other planets: someone was born as Mercury was rising, setting, culminating or being in lower culmination.

I just wish there was somewhere online a place to find easily planet rise/set/culmination times, and also in astrological software.

    • Great question!!

I have always thought about the same but in terms of peak in a person’s energy levels and most active. I was born in the morning around 9am and I just love early mornings. My take is because clearly I was getting ready to launch prior. My Sun is in 11th house Placidus, 12th Whole signs.

(Not sure I’m convinced about Whole signs because i have a 3 planets and NN in 11th with Placidus which would be in 12th using Whole Signs but I don’t move with 12th house vibes).

  4. Another Trump on the way…”Tiffany Trump is pregnant, former president says ”

“Trump referred to his daughter as a “very exceptional young woman” and her husband, Michael Boulos, as a “very exceptional young guy” in his remarks before an audience that included his son-in-law’s father, Massad Boulos. ”

I suppose the baby will be exceptional.

    • Second that. Both hard working and ambitious Capricorns. Badenoch would be formidable opposite ‘stiff as a brick’ Starmer at the despatch box, during Prime Ministers questions time.

      • Hard working opponents of “excessive maternity pay” and the ECHR. Culture wars have run out of road and astroturf, maybe even for the Tory membership. Time to clean up the mess they’ve left in the last decade plus.

  5. Hi Marjorie.
I’ve just been reading that next year the moon will be at an ‘ astronomical standstill’ and wondering what (if any) astrological implications this may have?

  6. Not sure where to put this observation! Just something I’ve been puzzling over.

I noticed that astronomers say Mars in Cancer will soon be passing the fixed stars Castor and Pollux – the Heavenly Twins, sometimes known as Apollo and Hercules, in the constellation Gemini. The astrology is interesting. Castor, the mortal twin, is 20 Cancer. Pollux, the more troublesome of the two, is 23 Cancer. United Nations (October 1945) Mars is 23 Cancer, Saturn 24 Cancer. NATO (August 1949) has warrior Mars 21 Cancer, opposing Jupiter (the army general?) 23 Capricorn.

    Elsbeth Ebertin wrote:

“Pollux has a strong Martian nature and has the name ‘the wicked boy’ of the of the sibling Twins. According to its nature, this star is brutal and tyrannical, violent and cruel if in conjunction with the Sun, Moon, Ascendant, MC or with malefics. Just as Mars has its good sides if the energy it creates is channeled constructively, so Pollux should not always be considered as unhelpful. The star badly place could manifest that way, not by the native misusing his energy but by others deceiving him and fate playing him some cruel tricks. Helper if in peril on voyages at sea. [Fixed Stars and Their Interpretation, Elsbeth Ebertin, 1928, p.41.]”

In January, when Mars retrograde in Cancer reaches perigee (12th), and opposition to the Sun (16th), there’s also a Full Moon at 23 Cancer on 13th January, aligning with Pollux. Mars crosses the Twins again in the last two weeks of January. I’m considering Richard Nolle’s theories about Mars at perigee and opposition – he states that when Mars is close to us here on Earth, it’s energy is increased and more noticeable than usual. This, along with the ‘strong Martian nature’ of Pollux, suggests some significant developments for NATO and the UN may be brewing now, which will manifest further in January?

Worth noting, too, that the abdication of the Russian Czar in March, 1917 had Saturn at 23 Cancer. And the US Mercury is 24 Cancer.

    • That’s interesting Jane, thank you. It’s interesting you brought up the significance of 23-25 Cancer, particularly with Mars and Pollux. It made me think of the solar eclipse that happened on January 15, 2010 at 25 Capricorn, directly opposing this degree range. That eclipse occurred just after the devastating Haiti earthquake (January 12), which brought an overwhelming global humanitarian response, especially from institutions like the UN. I wonder if that eclipse at 25 Capricorn symbolised a breakdown in global structures (Capricorn), triggering a huge international effort (Cancer) to provide aid and restore security.

Around the same time, there was a lot of tension with Iran’s nuclear program and broader global instability, especially between NATO powers and Iran, as well as China and the U.S. These themes of authority (Capricorn) and security (Cancer) feel very much in line with what you mentioned about Mars moving through this degree again and how it might affect institutions like NATO and the UN, especially with Mars’ strong influence over military matters.

With Mars at perigee in Cancer again in January and aligning with Pollux, I wonder if we could see similar patterns of heightened international tensions or humanitarian crises, especially involving those key degrees you pointed out.

      • Thanks Tara – that Capricorn eclipse is very intriguing, along with the events of that time. It’s funny I’d only realised about Mars with Castor and Pollux through reading an astronomy website – I like a bit of visible astrology connecting with the astronomy. All the locations you mention are still highly sensitive and reactive, with Iran and its proxies seeming quite sinister, along with sabre rattling exercises by the Chinese and on and on it all goes!
Mars may operate in a crab-like fashion during this time, possibly bringing more news about covert alliances – or the crime “families” of Cancer? MI5’s recent announcement about how Iran and Russia are aiming to create upheavals in the UK via the use of criminal elements may feed into this I think.
We will have to watch and wait. And on a clear night, be able to see Mars passing those two bright stars IRL.

        • I was just looking at Mars with Castor and Pollux rising during the northern lights – did you catch it? Amazing colours and dazzling jupiter shining amongst the orionid shooting stars, beautiful viewing tonight. I agree with you, I think you miss out if you only ever look at an ephemeris, like a picture without the colour

          • How lovely! No I didn’t see them, although we saw a glimpse earlier this year. Hoping perhaps tonight. I wonder if all this enhanced solar energy is also affecting human beings? I suspect it might be.

  7. Hi Marjorie,

Would you mind taking a look at Hurricane Milton? This Hurricane is heading straight for my state (Florida) and it’s headed for the Tampa Bay Area and the Suncoast in Central Florida. The Tampa Bay Area is home to over 4 million people and the Orlando Metro Area (which is close by) is home to over 3 million people.

Hurricane Milton formed off the coast of Mexico a few days ago and its already breaking records. It went from a tropical depression to a dangerous category 5 in just 3 days. Meteorologists and scientists said that Hurricane Milton now ranks as one of the top 5 most powerful Hurricanes ever recorded in the Atlantic Basin.

Everyone, including myself, are on edge right now here in Florida because we’re still trying to recover from Hurricane Helene.

One meteorologist even started crying as they were reporting on Hurricane Milton.

    • I moved fr West Palm to Alabama in April 2022 because my rent was increasing by about $100/month every lease renewal.
Also I couldn’t deal with living another fours of Dictator DeSantis
If you’re in the path of Milton I hope you have already evacuated and try to ride it out like I rode out Irma which was one of the biggest mistake I’ve ever made.

    • Chris,
Hope you are OK. There is not a lot to add to the previous Eclipse post below. Mars is close to the Descendant located to Tampa which is fraught. If it hits landfall toward midnight tonight then the Midheaven will be in late Pisces with Neptune and Scheat conjunct. The Florida chart looks more rattled late November into December which may be the aftermath. I will do a detailed look after it hits land.

      • It is certainly sobering to see meteorologists with decades of experience in the area cry on camera, because even they haven’t seen anything like. And they know these are becoming if not annual, biannual events due to the excessive warming of Gulf of Mexico. I remember all the talk about Miami going under water, and this will, eventually, happen. But I’m afraid that before that, much of Western Florida will depopulate, because it will become unsustainable financially to live there.

    • Stay safe, Chris! It looks horrible, with the landfall and coming surge hitting the most heavily populated area in the West Coast, heavy rainfall to the North of the landfall and localized tornados forming almost all through the state. And they haven’t even cleared the damage caused by Helene in some places.

  8. Can you take a closer look at Elon and trump over the next month to January. He’s officially joining trump on the campaign and actively paying people to find republicans to register to vote. He was also joking with Tucker Carlson about no one attempting an assassination on trump. A little nervous at how much he’s investing in helping trump.
He has a lot of government contracts with his companies and yet seems to be going full dictator.

  9. Marjorie,
May I ask for a quick take on Mars Chiron conjunct (17, 18 degrees) in Sagittarius in the 11th house? I would appreciate it so much. Thank you
