  1. Marjorie – would there be any value of assessing the astrology of the clinton-trump debate? I read some of the official “who won” opinions…it seems those who are Trumpites remain solidly behind him, no matter what.

    many tks

    • Larry, Nothing seems to stick to Trump as far as his supporters go. A dodgy businessman with bankruptcies and legal wrangles galore behind him, zero political experience, and won’t publish his tax returns. It’s partly confirmation bias – people only hear what already confirms their ingrained beliefs and ignore the rest. Though this year that is worse by a mile. It also indicates the gap between the media analysts/chattering classes and great swathes of the population who don’t read much and sit in their own favourite echo chamber.
October’s debates aren’t going to be pretty with an enraged Mars Pluto conjunction, exact on the 19th and casting a baleful and bitter shadow before that; plus Uranus throwing everything up in the air as well. All too stressful. Hillary doesn’t look so hot in the middle of it (see Aug 28 post).
What did Joe Biden once say? ‘I’m not god almighty. But I’m better than the alternative.’

  2. Hi Marjorie

What is going on!? Another celebrity split of a reasonably long (by celebrity standards) relationship, Liev Shreiber and Naomi Watts, of 11 years.

Is there something in the air – Uranus trine Mars? Or is it that we are just so much more informed these days (whether we want to be or not)?

    Best regards always

    • Jennifer, It may be that September Virgo Eclipse. It was in a Saros series that is ‘about realism, a coming down to earth. The individual will become aware of an old situation and see it for what it is rather than what he or she thought it would be. This can be a constructive time for tackling the truth.’ (Bernadette Brady, The Eagle and the Lark.)
Mercifully next late Feb’s Pisces Eclipse will bring pleasant surprises, sudden happiness, a joyful event, lucky breaks/wins – positive changes. So maybe needs must clear the decks to allow for better to come.

      • Thanks Marjorie,

BTW, the Sept eclipse was smack in the middle of my Uranus by 2 degs (on one side) and Pluto by 3 degs (on the other side) conjunction and a light touch relationship I had going on for the past year (Venus in Gemini of course) just collapsed in the last few days too. Next Feb’s eclipse will conjunct my Saturn 4 degs and oppose the same Uranus/Pluto – all those outer planets backing it into a corner doesn’t sound too good for me?

        All the best ….

  3. I’ve yet to watch last night’s episode, Marjorie, but, I feel like I’ve been short changed with this Albert version after the earthy sensuality of Mr Sewell who has quite a presence when he’s on screen! It’s also the first portrayal of Prince Albert in TV and Film that absolutely creeps me out. He reminds me of Ron Meal from The Sparks and every second he’s parading himself on TV I’m expecting him to give poor Victoria the over the top intense stare and declare, ‘This town ain’t big enough for the both of us, my Queen.’ His acting style is much to modern to pull of this period piece. Rufus Sewell just has to look and he gives off so many emotional layers. Tom, unfortunately, appears to be unable to do the same apart from many pensive knitted eyebrow moments, staring off into the distance, and having his mouth hang open. And don’t get me started on his whispered delivery. I feel he’s trying to hard to act sexy and mysterious. Rufus JUST IS!

I’m sure Tom is a lovely man, although what I’ve seen, he appears to be somewhat of a fop. Which is harmless. Seeing the chemistry Jenna and Rufus had, I’m sure someone somewhere in the production unit must be thinking, if only we had put this all together and it not been a Royal Historical thing, it would have been an even bigger hit than it is. I miss them both together on screen, actually 🙁

We’ve been diddled, I tell you! That or we have no life 🙂

  4. Hi Marjorie, could you look into the charts of ITV’s ‘Victoria’ actors Jenna Coleman (April 27 1986, Blackpool) and Tom Hughes (April 18 1986, Chester) who are rumoured to be dating and now living together. She looks like she’s going onwards and upwards at the moment. Not too sure about Tom, he seems somewhat miscast as Albert (imo) as he has this air of Mancunian swagger about him and his mouth is always flapping open, lol. Sigh! I wish perhaps they had made another period drama entirely with just Jenna and Rufus Sewell as their chemistry was really good on screen. But, alas it hasn’t happened.

Another relationship in the news, albeit it in the current of so many hitting the rocks at the moment, is Zoe Ball (Nov 23 1970, Blackpool) and Norman Cook (Jul 16 1963, Bromley) now calling time on their long marriage.
