This year marks the 15th anniversary of the movie The Notebook. The stars of the movie, Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling, dated for a few years in real life after the movie came out.
Over the years, people have wanted the two to get back together. I am curious to see if there is anything in their charts that indicate that will get back together or not.
Utter turmoil in the state of Virginia as the Democratic governor and attorney general have admitted to wearing blackface when they were young, and the black lieutenant governor has been accused of sexually assault by a woman who is now a professor. Virginia has a complicated history with slavery almost immediately after its founding. May be interesting to see what’s going on now with transits.
Could you have another look at the election and natal chart of Pope Francis again, in the light of the latest news regarding atrocities committed by the male clergy against nuns? As someone raised Catholic but now very much lapsed, I’m interested in how the ongoing Jupiter-Neptune square will affect both the Catholic Church as an institution and the Pope himself.

Hi to all, just a couple of days ago I happened upon a photo of Niagara Falls, frozen solid in 1911. Since the fright of global warming has taken hold, we are wary of temperature shifts. However, when I see the range of temperatures in the last 100 years or so, it would appear that it’s all over the map. I look at the stats for Calgary as an exemplum,
It’s difficult to gauge what’s man made and what’s just normal shifts. Temperatures have always fluctuated. There was a mini Ice Age in England around the 16th/17th centuries after a mediaeval warmer period.
This popped up on CNN this morning – “European colonizers killed so many Native Americans that it changed the global climate, researchers say”
The old world killed off so many indigenous that the climate actually changed, triggering the Mini-Ice Age. in the early 17th CEntury.

Jeremy Corbyn seems to be finding himself out of favour once again with his own MPs at the moment. I recall in a past post you said April could be a break off for him so I wonder if his leadership might be coming to a shock end.

here in the United States, we are experiencing one of the worst “Polar Vortexes” since 2014. This “Polar Vortex” is deeply affecting the New England, Mid-Atlantic, and Southern states. We’re even feeling the some of the affects of the “Polar Vortex” here in North Florida. For example, temperatures have been dropping down into the 30s (Fahrenheit) here in Jacksonville, Florida and it rarely gets that cold here (even in winter).
However, it’s the Great Lakes states and Midwestern states that appear to be experiencing the worst of the “Polar Vortex” right now – the news has been reporting that temperatures have plummeted to dangerously low numbers, between minus 30 degrees Fahrenheit and minus 65 degrees Fahrenheit in places like Chicago and the Great Lakes region. AccWeather reported that temperatures even plummeted to minus 77 degrees Fahrenheit in the small town of Thief River Falls, Minnesota!
The governors of Illinois, Michigan, and Wisconsin have declared “emergencies” and schools and businesses have even been closed in certain locations. They said waterfalls and lakes are frozen solid in some areas.
The Huffington Post reported today that at least 8 people have died (other news sources are reporting that the death toll has risen to 12 now) as a result of the extremely low temperatures being caused by the “Polar Vortex.” The Washington Post reported that among the dead was an Iowa University student who froze to death. And ABC News reported that a 55 year old man in Milwaukee, Wisconsin was found dead and frozen in his garage – he had apparently been shoveling snow from his driveway.
The news has also been reporting that these “Polar Vortexes” are tied to Global Warming and they expect this current one to persist for some time.
Anyway, I was just wondering if you had any insights regarding the “2019 Polar Vortex” Is there anything that’s happening, astrologically speaking, that’s causing this horrible event?
Any information, insights, or thoughts you could share would be greatly appreciated. As always, thank you so much for sharing your daily astrology postings with all of us – I always look forward to reading them.

Just an observation, but have noticed extreme cold weather conditions in the Northern hemisphere coincided with the last two Saturn-Pluto conjunctions of 1947(Leo) and 1982(Libra).
Hi Marjorie. There is a British Actor called Ben Hardy who starred in EastEnders and recently appeared as Roger Tyler in Bohemain Rhapsody which is now up for Oscars. Could you please do a chart on him? thank you
I think it is too early, astrologically, to be definitive; have you been reading the news opinions & analyses? I spend sometimes far too much time but it is fascinating from the Continental perspective and UK perspective. American rags do not really give much air time.
Are you seeing anything new on Brexit?
I would formulate the question differently.
Marjorie, if you were advising the UK government, when would be the best time for Brexit to come into force?
Also what other advice would you give the UK government (perhaps a different person to lead the negotiations, etc)?
How would Brexit be impacted if the UK is given an extension till 1st July 2019? I remember that you had written an article on the European Parliament, which will sit on 2nd July 2019, the day of the July Solar Eclipse, but I can’t find the article.
As an aside, what are the future prospects of Michel Barnier and Sabine Weyand? Barnier had ambitions of leading the EU Commission some day.
