Outer planet shifts – where is the enlightenment?

Gaza is an unbearable horror show; stalwart Ukraine is no nearer expelling the invaders; the USA is being dismantled under a military dictatorship; UK is in despairing chaos under a rudderless (and control-freaky) government; the EU are up against the wall, southern locations under threat of overheating/wildfires and on and on and on. It was not supposed to be like this.

Pluto and Uranus into Air signs should have brought intellectual insight, awareness and enlightenment – Saturn Neptune in Aries the urge to improve society and support the underdog.

Netanyahu, Trump and Putin are on a might-makes-right high, all selfish ambition and just-because-I-can. Elsewhere there is an unnerving lack of effective leadership.

Grasping at straws, might it be Neptune’s swansong in Pisces conjunct the shipwrecking Fixed Star Scheat, in place till late January 2026, which is in part the chaos creator?

Scheat can bring – stubbornness, is headstrong of a combative nature, wins and loses friends, may be unfortunate, a changeable, unpredictable nature, has high enterprise, and may be subject to violence. Fantasizes. [Astrology King]

The March 2025 Solar Eclipse had the North Node, Venus and Neptune all conjunct Scheat in a violent Saros series.

The approaching September 2025 Solar Eclipse has the New Moon in final degree Virgo in a downbeat opposition to Saturn, Scheat and Neptune in Aries in a worrisome, health-related, low energy Saros Series. Plus a can-be-ruthless/violent Pluto square Mars as well as three yods onto focal points Neptune, Mars and Venus respectively – which sounds stressful, indecisive, and much of the same as went before.

Which reflects the paralysis in the Israel/Gaza, Ukraine charts and indeed the USA chart which is battling headwinds from the Solar Arc Sun square SA Saturn colliding with the natal Mars square Neptune from last year until early 2027.

Where the eclipse effect brightens is by February 2026 with the Aquarius Solar Eclipse in a high-energy, constructive Saros series, bringing unification within relationships and idealism. It still won’t be wonderful with Algol conjunct Uranus square the Sun; and Scheat lingering close to Saturn Neptune in Aries – but slowly slowly it will get better.

By late August 2026 the North Node reverses out of Pisces (and away from Scheat) into Aquarius staying till early 2028 which will also help, since it is likely to promote causes and humanitarian activism.

It will take till 2027 for the USA to sail into calmer waters. By early 2027 the UK will be clear of the disruptive tr Uranus square Pluto and even better tr Uranus will be moving out of the UK 8th house into less erratic financial circumstances. The EU will have cleared the punishing Solar Arc Pluto opposition its Moon and square Uranus of the moment; and the upheavals of tr Uranus square Pluto in 2026 (though their challenges will not disappear as the decade wears on.)

It all sounds like jam tomorrow but there are astro-hints that once over the hurdle of Neptune loosening its grip on Pisces, and Scheat receding into the distance there should be gradual improvements through next year – with hopes that the benefits of Pluto Uranus in Air and Neptune Saturn in Fire may start to bear fruit into 2027 and beyond.

  1. Tell me, perhaps as an enumerated list, what might 1) Pluto in Aquarius, 2) Uranus in Gemini, and 3) Neptune in Aries bring as far as mundane astrology is concerned. So stuff like mundane, world events, politics, economics, advances in science, human relationships.

Here’s what these major planetary transits might bring in terms of mundane astrology:

    1) Pluto in Aquarius (2023-2044)

Technology & Power Structures: Complete transformation of social media and digital platforms
AI becoming deeply integrated into governance and social control
Cryptocurrency and digital currencies potentially replacing traditional banking
Tech oligarchies either consolidating absolute power or being dismantled entirely

    Political & Social Systems:
Revolutionary changes in how societies organize and govern themselves
Traditional hierarchies challenged by networked, decentralized movements
Collective consciousness and group identity becoming primary political forces
Possible emergence of new forms of democracy or governance models

    Economics:
Fundamental restructuring of economic systems around collective ownership
Universal basic income or similar wealth redistribution models
Labor transformed by automation and AI
Power shifting from individual wealth to collective resources

    2) Uranus in Gemini (2025-2033)

    Communication & Information:
Revolutionary breakthroughs in how information is transmitted and processed
Sudden shifts in education systems and learning methodologies
Transportation technology making quantum leaps (possibly teleportation-related discoveries)
Mental health and neuroscience experiencing rapid, disruptive advances

    Media & Knowledge:
Traditional journalism and media completely restructuredNew forms of communication technology emerging rapidly
Scientific breakthroughs in understanding consciousness and the mind
Rapid changes in how we process and share knowledge globally

    Social Connections:
Community structures and neighborly relationships radically reimagined
Sudden shifts in how siblings, local communities, and peer groups function
Travel and mobility experiencing revolutionary changes

    3) Neptune in Aries (2025-2039)

    Leadership & Identity:
Confusion and disillusionment with traditional forms of leadership
Spiritual or idealistic movements centered around individual empowerment
Blurred boundaries around personal identity and self-expression
Potential rise of charismatic but deceptive leaders

    Conflict & Competition:
Wars becoming more psychological, cyber-based, or fought through misinformation
Traditional concepts of victory and defeat becoming nebulous
Military and defense sectors influenced by spiritual or ideological confusion
Competition replaced by more collaborative or undefined approaches

    Innovation & Pioneering:
Scientific and technological breakthroughs that seem almost magical
Pioneering efforts in consciousness, spirituality, and human potential
Confusion around what constitutes true innovation versus illusion
Art, creativity, and individual expression reaching transcendent new levels

Combined Effects: These three transits together suggest a period of unprecedented transformation in human civilization, with technology, consciousness, and social structures all undergoing simultaneous revolution in ways that may be difficult to comprehend from our current perspective.

  2. W/ the Feb/March eclipse period, both Saturn and Neptune will be moving into Aries for good. Uranus will have stationed out of Taurus too finally and into Gemini in April. I would think these months will be something to watch personally and collectively.

  3. Thank you Marjorie for the rays of hope. The extreme hatred being visited on the less powerful plus the unchecked wealth, media and governing power of the oligarchs is making brutes of far too many normally sensible people who’ve turned to blaming others for their loss of entitlement. Scape goating is the refuge of the coward who punches down rather than upwards.

  4. I’ll be glad to see the exit of Neptune in Pisces too. The global scale gaslighting that is taking place on the public by the media, politicians, Israel, America, Oligarchs, fuel companies, celebrities, etc is profoundly breathtaking!

I think moving into Aries will refocus people’s anger exactly where it needs to be. But of course, that means more ructions from those down here to clear out the rot at the top. Sometimes, I think the quaint, peasant folk of the French Revolution era knew exactly how to deal with all these cockroaches we are all drowning in

      • @AC — I’m going to defend the political profession. There are definitely some good politicians. After a lifetime in and around politics, I can attest that they do exist and I’ve known many who entered and stay in politics for the “right” reasons, to advance the public good, not only for personal power and greed.

Just because the “good” ones are not in power now doesn’t mean they don’t exist. We’re going to need every well-intentioned, competent pol who knows how to work the levers of power to clean up the messes the current horror show sleazebags are still creating.

        • Well said Nicole. Just because good politicians not jumping on the ‘look at me, empty barrel makes the most noise’ bandwagon doesn’t mean that they don’t exist. Sometimes silence is golden and same for silent ninja.

          • Good politicians exist. What we want is to highlight what these good ones are doing to the society. If they aren’t doing anything but on the sidelines, then it makes no difference whether good ones exist or not.

  5. I’m not expecting any immediate change for betterment. After all Pluto in Capricorn didn’t really kick in until its second half and astrologers were predicting it would the be the downfall of the big institutions and establishment. In some ways that is true as none of the political leaders seem capable of sorting out problems but so many are seen to be feathering their own nests. It was probably always so but Pluto has really shown their ineptitude.

Not sure we really know what Pluto in Aqua will be about – certainly AI has kicked in as the new Industrial Revolution of sorts especially as it will be backed by Uranus in Gemini. But it should also bring power to the people. And for Brits, for example, that might mean waiting until the next GE and then realising Farage isn’t any better than others. Maybe the Saturn-Uranus in Gemini of 2031 will bring more localism and Pluto in Aqua will be about empowering likeminded groups rather than some kind of government. Honestly don’t know – just riffing on the nature of the signs.

  6. I believe this is a period of transition and “growing pains” as we move from the Piscean to the Aquarian age. There is too much “thinking” going on with the mortal mind as we gradually learn the importance of being heart centred. In a sense, it feels like the world is having a “collective breakdown”, clearing the path for a better future. The old way of being is clinging on for dear life, eventually to be weeded out and make way for a much brighter world.

  7. Thanks Marjorie, it’s so helpful to have an upbeat interpretation looking forward.
However – very simply – perhaps Pluto and Uranus moving into air signs could also be a wholesale increase in global warming and its impacts…already evident around the globe? Carbon dioxide is, after all, not a thing of earth but of air…

  8. If there’s one outer planet transit I can’t wait to see gone it’s Neptune in Pisces. After over a decade of dream boating in a Piscean swamp of weird delusional beliefs like wokeism, a healthy dose of firey proactive Aires energy should provide a serious wake-up enabling people to fight for their authentic beliefs over the guilt laden PC mush that’s been forced down our collective throats.

  9. Hi, Marjorie, I am reminded of a post you wrote some times back regarding how this year transits feel like the early mid 2000s. (if someone can find that post, your help is much appreciated). I have reread your May/ July, Nov 2024 posts on Saturn as I ruminate on what you mentioned this Saturn will be a culmination of what has been done since 21 years ago. A local entrepreneur hit her peak in business and is now charged in court for omissions.

5 months after my sun was eclipse this year, at this point I finally feel some semblance of order after all those months of ill health. And now as Saturn transit change sign in my 10th house, and I wait for my Uranus half return in excitement and trepidation.

  10. I doubt the movement of Pluto and Uranus into air signs means a cessation of trouble, but it has accompanied the rise of AI which has only just begun. On a personal note next February’s eclipse is conj my natal Sun and ascendant – could be a watershed moment?

  11. Following on posts from the last Aug 10th Astro-comments, Virgoflake notes that, “I believe the brightest star in Libra is known as Zubenelgenubi or the Southern claw of Scorpius, Jane……It’s at 15 Libra and said to cause “malevolence, obstruction, an unforgiving character, violence, disease, lying, crime, disgrace, and danger of poison. Symbolically called the Insufficient Price, it is of the nature of Saturn and Mars”, according to Astrology King.”

With reference to Virgoflake’s comments, the forthcoming August 15 summit with Trump & Putin (& maybe Z) could have a prospective start time of noon, Anchorage, which would give the meeting an ascendant of 15 Libra. The “insufficient price” motif may unfortunately forecast that Trump will trade off Ukraine’s independence for the proverbial pot of porridge so he can claim a “win” for the midterms. All for the glory of a Nobel prize, which I deeply wish the Norwegians will deny him if some kind of phony peace is made.

The moon at 18 Taurus would be in the 8th of big money (assets of the enemy/debt), the nodes will be stationary at 18 Pisces/Virgo, and Vesta the asteroid of sacrifice will be at 18 Scorpio in the 2nd of personal monies, opposite the moon. With Mars in the 12th of insitutional secrets, the deal won’t be public for a while. It’s right up Trump and Putin’s alley.

    • Oops, I meant the Swedes, not Norwegians! Don’t know why I typed that, except that the N’s have the world’s largest (known) sovereign weath fund.

      • You were correct the first time. The Nobel Peace Prize is awarded by a Norwegian committee and presented in the City Hall of Oslo (which is worth a visit if you are in that neck of the woods) in the presence of the King of Norway on 10th December each year (the anniversary of Nobel’s death).

The other Nobel awards are awarded by Swedish bodies and in the presence of the King of Sweden.

    • Insufficient Price could also refer to the 7 million$ the US paid for Alaska in 1867 when it bought it from Russia, a price thought to be too low by many at the time, too high for some US senators, and which is now one of the great bargains of history.

      • Speaking of Norway, it’s encouraging to note the current headlines that Norway’s $2 trillion sovereign wealth fund has just divested itself of 11 investments in Israel due to the crisis in Gaza. The companies products include military equipment. Money do talk.

    • Putin will never meet with Trump (or any other leader) if Zelensky is present. Putin doesn’t see Ukraine as a separate, autonomous state and therefore it can’t have it’s own separate, autonomous leader. Putin just denies Z’s existence. That’s why Trump has already said he’ll give Z a call *after* the summit is over, but not during.

  12. Correction….the 3rd Elipse in Aries falls in the Uke 3rd House, the rational mind.
Enlightenment is ruled by two Houses….the 9th, religious enlightenment and the 3rd,
    rational enlightenment.

  13. The 17 Feb, 2025 Eclipse falls across the Uke Moon opp Sun axis. Sun rules Uke 8th of shared resouces, so both parties may become enlightened a share a deal]
The 21 Sept 2025 Eclipse falls on the Uke Mars also in the 8th House, dead soldiers, and prompt]a declined in hostilities reduce further casualties and come to an enlightened
    understanding.
The final Eclipse in Aries, battles, falls in the Uke 9th House of enlightenment.

  14. Ukraine independence day chart was born during a Mars hour. Ukraine will by 34 yrs old
    on Aug 24, 1991. The Chaldean sequence of hour rulers is….0 yr old, 1991; 7 yrs, 1998;
    14 yrs, 2005; 21 yrs, 2012; 28 yrs, 2019; 35 yrs, 2026; 42 yrs. …each of these years ruled by Mars. So Aug 24, 2025 to Aug 23, 2026 would be ruled by
the planet Jupiter, in the sequence…Sun, Venus, Merc, Moon, Saturn, Jupiter, Mars.
This August Trump meets Putin in Alaska for a summit meeting about Ukraine.
Looking where Jupiter is in the Ukraine chart…..we find a stellium of Sun, Mercury,
Venus, Juopiter. in 7th open enemy, Russia. Venus-Jupiter suggests a peace deal will be achieved.

    • “about Ukraine”, says it all! I cannot imagine Ukraine accepting any ‘peace deal’ made without their involvement. This meeting is soley about Putin and Trump and its effects will likely be adverse for everyone else.

  15. Many astrologers have said that as outer planets move into new signs for good over this next few months, that until then, it’s like a time of flushing out the old..?. Let’s hope. The timing of Scheat, as above, makes sense viz the outer planets’ permanent return to their new signs…

  16. Italians would say “campa cavallo che l’erba cresce”, but this is so exhausting, and just when you thought it is near reach, it gets pushed further down the line.

  17. The US and Israel Uranus returns in Gemini in the next seven years make me more pessimistic. I believe enlightenment is taking place on a ground level for individuals or small networks. We are under the grip for many years of the Saturn-Pluto conjunction in late Capricorn square Eris, which consolidated the effects of the Uranus-Pluto square of 2015 when Trump emerged and the US Pluto return. This ensured that this passage of Pluto in Capricorn would leave a negative legacy. I believe this will be challenged seriously only at the Saturn-Pluto opposition of 2036, a year which will also see a Pluto return in France and an eclipse of the British monarchy.

    • I was going to mention the U.S. Uranus Return of 2027-28, Andre. I don’t believe it will necessarily be negative, but I do see it being some kind of breaking point for the country, following the 2026 midterms.

It could play out a lot of ways. Hard to say with Uranus, but it could involve the increasingly divisive and acrimonious gerrymandering of legislative districts. The U.S. is fast approaching a point at which there will be no actual contest for seats between the two parties, casting a cloud of doubt over the whole process.

      Something’s gotta give somewhere.
