Norway Royals – caught in the Epstein web

   The long ripple of contamination from Epstein has entangled Norway’s Crown Princess Mette Marit with newly released emails suggesting she was still in contact with him just months before his suicide. She is already on the ropes with the trial starting of her son Marius Borg Hoiby, born before her marriage to Crown Prince Haakon, who is charged with raping four women and 34 other offences. He denies the most serious charges.

 Questions are being asked about whether she can be queen after this. She is suffering from pulmonary fibrosis and will probably have to have a lung transplant.

  Born 19 August 1973 1pm (unconfirmed) Kristiansand, Norway, she was a party girl before she met Prince Haakon with a string of relationships and their marriage was controversial.

 She has a showy, attention-seeking Leo Sun conjunct her Midheaven from the 9th trine an excitable and indulgent Moon Mars in Taurus in her 6th house of health. She has an ambitious mini-Grand Trine of Jupiter trine Pluto sextile Neptune. With two yods onto evasive Neptune and needs-maturity Saturn respectively. With her Saturn square a Venus Pluto conjunction = emotionally manipulative and bleak. A complicated personality. Both of her yods are under pressure from tr Neptune, Pluto and Uranus hard aspects in the coming year.

  For afficianados of asteroids – Psyche (tribulations on the road to true love) is conjunct her Ascendant in the 1st. Chariklo (endless suffering) and Eris (discord) in her 5th house of children. Chiron, the wounded healer, in her 6th.

 Prince Haakon, 20 July 1973 2.12pm Oslo, Norway, a Sun Cancer trine a Pisces Moon, so Watery which is the opposite of her Fire Earth chart. Her Sun falls on his Midheaven conjunct his Venus = good for his career and affectionate.  But her Mars Moon on his Descendant hint at a troublesome, argumentative match.

 Her Sun/Moon midpoint, the marriage significator, is conjunct his Saturn with duty looming large from his side; and his Sun/Moon midpoint is square her Sun for differing agendas.

 Not only is her chart riddled with yods so are her relationships with Prince Haakon (apex Saturn), Epstein (apex Mars) and even her wedding in 2001 has a Neptunian apex yod.

 The Epstein link may not recede in a hurry and there may be more coming before Uranus exits Taurus in April – beyond that it could drag on.

 She has two children with Prince Haakon and their bond would not split easily with Saturn Pluto aspects running throughout. But he does seem to be backing off with tr Uranus moving through his 7th in recent years and ahead.

  Norway, 7 June 1905 11am Oslo, is facing a troubled year or so ahead which may be little to do with this – with tr Uranus square Saturn and tr Neptune Saturn square the 4th house Uranus. What is notable are the Solar Arc Saturn, Uranus and North Node all at 29 degrees, hinting at a cuspal year, clearing out the past to make way for the new. A rethink of the Royals may be part of that process.

  1. All of this is whether Crown Prince Haakon can rule as King without her being crowned at the same time as him. Or if her health will allow her to take part at all. There is no mention of their marriage: if they have an open marriage, or if they live separate lives. And if they are parted, why not divorce?

  2. Epstein and Mets composite Saturn is conjunct Regulus and square Algol. It does look like this scandal maybe will end in her losing her Crown (head)!

  3. I have often wondered whether the line of House of Glücksburg that took the throne in Norway is cursed when it comes to consorts. We are only at the third monarch of this line right now. Both Haakon VII and Olav V had long widowhood. Harald V fought for 10 years to marry Sonja Haraldsen, a July 4th native. Crown Prince Haakon seemingly found his match early, but the media attention in the 1990’s was relentless.

    I wonder, is there anything at that 1905 chart that would indicate these issues? Maybe a truly wild Juno…

    • Juno exactly on the Midheaven (start time being accurate). In the 7th house of relationships – Eris = discord; Chariklo = endless suffering of partner; Nessus = con, manipulative. Chiron in romantic 5th

    • Princess Mette Marit’s Taurus Moon and Mars align with Norway’s oscillating apogee (BML) at 0 Taurus. So maybe she’s a channel for some unruly, even angry, energies in the country? Norway’s Jupiter, Mercury, and MC are all accompanying fixed star Algol, the Gorgon’s Head. It has a baleful reputation, bringing much energy and creativity but at the same time warns of ‘losing your head’. Like Lilith, Algol can represent wild energies that are repressed to fit in with wider society. The female ‘outsider’ can be a disruptive, angry figure – the bad fairy at the wedding.

  4. For those not familiar with European history; Norway was a part of the Danish kingdom till the fall of Napoleon. Denmark had sided with Napoleon and in the peace negotiations, Norway was split from Denmark and given to Sweden. The Danish Crown Prince, who was the Norwegian viceroy at the time, tried to get Norway to declare independence rather than merge with Sweden and Norway did so, but was forced into a personal union (sharing a king, but not a government, like the Commonwealth realms today) with Sweden anyway.

    In 1905, Norway got rid of the King of Sweden too, and offered the crown to a younger son of the King of Denmark, who happened to be married to the daughter of Edward VII of the UK. He insisted that there be a referendum on whether Norwegians really wanted him as their king, and that referendum was approved by 79% of the electorate. Prince Carl of Denmark became King Haakon VII of Norway and led Norway through both world wars. His courage in refusing to surrender to the Germans in WWII (he said that he would abdicate if his government surrendered) endeared him to the Norwegian people.

    Re the last sentence in Marjorie’s post “A rethink of the Royals may be part of that process”, after every election, the Socialist Left Party (political parties in Scandinavia usually have such names, like “Centre”, “Left”, etc) propose a motion in the Norwegian Storting to abolish the monarchy. And each time, it is voted down.

    This last occurred just four days ago, after these scandals (of the step-son of the Crown Prince being charged with rape and of the Crown Princess’s association with Epstein) had come out, and the Norwegian Storting voted that motion down, with 141 out of 169 members voting to retain the monarchy.

    I feel for the Crown Prince. The father of the step-son charged with rape was himself a convicted felon and was in prison at the time that son (the step-son of the Crown Prince) was born. And it is rumoured that the pregnancy may have itself been a result of rape, as the Crown Princess and the father of the step-son were never in a relationship themselves. There is some deep generational hurt in that father-son relationship.
