A peaceful activist for women’s rights is still imprisoned in Saudi Arabia along with nine other women who say they have endured torture. Loujain Al-Hathoul campaigned for years to allow women the right to drive. The Crown Prince Bin Salman was applauded by the west when he granted women such rights but shortly beforehand he mystifyingly had her and other campaigners rearrested. “She said she had been held in solitary confinement, beaten, waterboarded, given electric shocks, sexually harassed and threatened with rape and murder. She was shaking uncontrollably, unable to hold her grip, to walk or sit normally,” said her sister, Alia al-Hathloul.
Born 31 July 1989, she’s an ultra-determined Sun Leo square Pluto in Scorpio; with the triple conjunction of Uranus, Saturn, Neptune in Capricorn which can have a focus on improving society and bringing in reforms.
Her Pluto is conjunct the Saudi Arabia 10th house North Node and Midheaven in vengeful Scorpio and squares the Saudi Mars in uncompromising Aquarius – so she will pose a threat to the country’s archaic attitudes.

She’s looking at a low ebb at the moment with her Solar Arc Neptune opposing her Sun with Solar Arc Saturn following behind in a year’s time. She will get some cheer from a couple of transits to Jupiter midpoints this month and in July but on the whole looks very discouraged.
Mind you even if international pressure forced her release from prison (unlikely) she’d still be a broken woman for a long time after these experiences.
“Loujain’s abuse exemplifies the methods of Saudi thuggish and lawless leadership, hellbent on exacting sadistic vengeance against any citizen who dares to think freely,” Sarah Leah Whitson of Human Rights Watch said.
The Saudi Arabia Sun, Saturn, Jupiter in Capricorn will get pounded by the tr Saturn Pluto conjunction over the next couple of years which might crush some of their arrogance; and tr Neptune is moving round their Mutable T Square involving the Moon from this year till the mid 2020s which might – or might not – see an end to their mediaeval attitudes to women.
Saudi Arabia is going to go through some very profound changes over the next several years. tr. Saturn/Pluto in Capricorn and Saturn in Aquarius is set to transform that nation and it’s medieval attitudes deeply. Really these pressures go a little further back to Uranus in Aries making hits to their natal Jupiter/Saturn/Sun conjunction in Capricorn over the middle part of this decade, and the Jupiter/Saturn/Neptune mutable t-square over 2015-16 impacting their mutable planets. So it’s clear that old ways of governance need to give way, or societal pressures will continue to build otherwise. Saturn moving into Aquarius, and Uranus moving further into Taurus will make hard aspects SA’s Mars in Aquarius in approximately 2 years time. That comes on the heels of the Saturn/Pluto conjunction over SA’s Jupiter/Saturn/Sun conjunction in Capricorn. So it’s clear that 2019-22 will test the nation at its core, there will likely be various political crises and protests during that time there and elsewhere too. By the mid-2020’s, Arabia is going to look quite different. Like other major powers (US, UK, EU, China, etc), they too will likely be affected by a major economic crisis that spills over into the political and even international domain. The time for those events are drawing near, and it will come at us fast. Given Saudi Arabia’s integral role in the petrodollar system, one has to wonder if that payments system is set to be phased out in the coming years, as the international financial system comes under increased pressure over the next few months and years.

Maybe one solution would be for USA and Britain el al to treat the Saudis much more accountably and with due rigour on their appalling human rights? Some other nations in that region are equally barbaric in their own ways but we won’t lift a finger…I wonder why? what astrological indicators govern greed and hypocrisy?

It is purely monetary. Days after campaigns were started condemning Saudi Arabia and requesting for the uk Royal Family to sever its ties with Saidi, Prince Andrew, Duke of York reiterated his relationship with the Saudis. His eagerness to create strong links raised eyebrows and played in sharp contrast to business leaders and politicians who pulled out of the “Davos in the Desert” conference in Riyadh, as a result of the Khashoggi scandal. He did not make a single reference to the incident during his address.
It depresses me greatly.
