Iran v Israel/USA – the Middle East in turmoil

A joint US-Israel strike on Iran set off explosions in Teheran shortly after 9.30am, and other hits were reported across the country in several cities. Iran retaliated with attacks on US air bases across the Middle East in Kuwait, Bahrein, Abu Dhabi and Dubai.  The violent escalation took place with Mars in late Aquarius exactly conjunct the recent Solar Eclipse which located to Teheran had Pluto exactly on the Descendant on the cusp of the 7th house of allies and enemies.  The eclipse chart also has Eris (= discord) conjunct Chiron on the midheaven hinting at old unhealed wounds.

The strike chart had a fight-for-control Pluto on the Midheaven; with Mars in an over-reactive and explosive square to Uranus and Algol. Mercury is retrograde. The Pisces Sun is conjunct the North Node. It is not as damaging as the Iraq Attack chart from 20 March 2003 which had the Pisces Sun square the war-mongering Saturn opposition Pluto.  The Mars Uranus square might suggest a shorter-lived conflict but then again Pluto on the Midheaven will not give in easily.

According to one analyst “Iran could unleash hell on Strait of Hormuz – through which a quarter of the world’s oil travels.”

Although described by Israel as pre-emptive the evidence is that this is not a response to an imminent threat. ‘It is a war of choice with Israel and the USA calculating that the Islamic regime in Iran is vulnerable; dealing with a severe economic crisis, the fallout from the brutal crackdown on protesters at the start of the year and with defences still badly damaged by last summer’s war.’

Since Tehran is one of Moscow’s staunchest allies and has supported Russia’s war effort in Ukraine by supplying drones and missiles and buying Russian weaponry to strengthen their own defences, it puts Putin in a tight spot.

On the astrology it came a few days earlier than anticipated with the tr Uranus square the 10th house Mars on the Israel chart running from 12th March to 5th April which always looked to be a flash point, both recklessly aggressive and insecure.  Tr Uranus is also square the Mars/Ascendant on Trump’s chart now which the recent eclipse spotlighted, putting him into an even more combative mood than usual and continuing until Uranus exits into Gemini in April.

The most illuminating chart for Iran is the 22 December 1501 chart, which has a tough, brutal Mars in Taurus opposition Pluto which is being triggered right through into April.  Great risk and great instability. A fight to the death.

However there is not much visible sign on the astrology that the Islamic regime will collapse instantly which is what Trump seems to be demanding.

Ali Larijani, 3 June 1958, has been named as the successor should the Iranian Supreme Leader succumb though he is evidently not trusted by the hardliners. He is a Sun Gemini with a confident (maybe overly so) Jupiterian yod inconjunct Mercury sextile Mars. He has Pluto in final degree Leo being opposed by Solar Arc Saturn for this year and next and by tr Uranus square both in the next two months. So under maximum pressure, weighted down by war and unsettled by turbulence.

The Israel chart has tr Pluto exactly opposition the 10th house Moon now to mid March for a moment of national intensity and great pressure on the government. That stays around on and off till late 2027. Also around now is a ruthless and dangerous Solar Arc Mars square Pluto which could suggest a frustrating and risky phase of being trapped. Into and through 2027 the Solar Arc Midheaven will conjunct the 12th house Neptune for a country mired in confusion and indecision. 2028 looks agitated; and 2030 will see even more destructive and stuck situations with SA Sun square Pluto and SA Mars square Saturn. And on through the 2030s with grinding change from tr Pluto opposition their 10th house Pluto, then maybe another war with Saturn and finally even more jeopardy and mountainous obstacles from tr Pluto opposition the Mars into early 2040s. There is absolutely nothing to suggest that this escapade or any future one will bring peace to Israel.

It is difficult to see how this ends – the US public will not take kindly to being dragged into a foreign conflict having voted Trump in on a no-war ticket.

Where Trump is concerned given his recent over heated mood, it reminds me of one of Maggie Thatcher’s cabinet minister saying before the Falklands War that she was itching for a fight and did not much care who she had it with.

On the USA chart what is significant is the Solar Arc Sun exactly square the USA Mars which is a sign of a collision/shock/conflict/outburst of anger. On the Sibly USA chart tr Uranus is exactly square the late Aquarius Moon which was in the direct line of the recent Aquarius Solar Eclipse hinting at an emotionally upsetting moment which will test the USA’s internal sense of cohesion and security, as well as bring its public image under scrutiny. Tr Uranus will square the Solar Arc Mars this April for a phase of high insecurity.

No doubt more anon.

50 thoughts on “Iran v Israel/USA – the Middle East in turmoil

  1. I of course do not want babies to be hurt or anything like that. But then given the instability in the region, I wouldn’t take anybody on holiday there in the first place. Choosing a Neville Chamberlin approach to deal with Hitler, was disastrous as was not investing heavily in our military. And through both the Tories and Labour, we are far worse off than thought. The whole reason for having 3 bases on Cyprus was to defend it. And we certainly didn’t do that. And yes I know that the Shah wasn’t great. But he was far more manageable than the mullahs. And what has happened to the people in Iran is a total disgrace! And if the oeople you are negotiating with refuse any semblance of negotiation and threaten you instead, what can you do when it is going to lead to war anyway?

  2. Some more measured thoughts on the unfolding debacle:

UK media ‘The Tehran regime is certainly murderous. Most of its victims are Iranians themselves. The Islamic Republic is also committed to harming the US and destroying Israel, but there is no evidence of any imminent action in pursuit of those goals to justify preemptive strikes. The more pressing motive seems to be Trump seeking thrills in the international arena because his domestic political revolution is running out of steam.’

Haaretz: ‘Two days after saying that Iran’s leaders have asked to talk and he has agreed, U.S. President Trump posted on Truth Social that their request came “too late,” adding that the country’s leadership, air defense, air force, and navy are “gone.” Later on Tuesday, a correspondent from U.S. news outlet News Nation said Trump told him he “doesn’t think boots on the ground will be necessary.”

    ■ VP JD Vance reiterated on Monday Trump’s stated goals for the campaign, which do not include regime change, saying that “whatever happens with the regime in one form or another, it’s incidental to the president’s primary objective here, which is to make sure that the Iranian terrorist regime does not build a nuclear bomb.”

    ■ Contrary to senior U.S. officials’ comments regarding regime change, PM Netanyahu told Fox News that the strikes are “going to create the conditions” for the Iranian people to “form their own democratically elected government.” Netanyahu stressed that the war will be “quick and decisive,” not “endless,” and that he believes it could pave the way for normalization between Israel and other Middle Eastern countries, such as Saudi Arabia.

Many Israelis doubt Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s motives and long-term goals. Netanyahu is using the war and the state of emergency to consolidate his power, diminish checks and balances, and perhaps manipulate or delay this year’s elections.

And when Tehran is burning and Israelis rush to their bomb shelters, the Palestinians are all but forgotten. Settler violence in the West Bank continues to rise, and Gaza is once again under siege.

  3. I’ll be the first to say that I have absolutely no sympathy for Iran’s government. In fact, I hate Iran’s government with a passion. They were providing Shahed drones to the Russian Federation which were being used to terrorize and murder innocent Ukrainians. The Iranian Government also terrorized and murdered its own people.

That being said, I highly doubt Trump, Netanyahu, and their associates started this war with Iran out of altruism for the Iranian People. I’m sure I’m not the only one who suspects this was meant to be a distraction from the Epstein Files and the midterm elections (which Republicans are slated to do poorly in).

Recent news reports from Huffpost stated that the CIA has considered arming Iran’s ethnic Kurdish minority to resist the current regime. This echos what Bush Sr.’s administration did back in 1990-1991 during the Gulf War where they tried to arm the ethnic Kurdish minority in Iraq to resist Saddam Hussein. It didn’t work.

Unfortunately, I think the war in Iran is only going to escalate and get worse. Iran is home to over 100 different ethnic groups (Armenians, Azeris, Mandaens, Arabs, Assyrians, Lurs, Persians, Kurds, Afro-Iranians, etc.) and they will likely compete for control or for separatist states.

If the current regime proves to be resilient, then I think Trump will keep us in Iran. Trump is a complete narcissist and he hates to lose. He’ll keep the Iran war going because it would bruise his ego to simply give up and admit defeat.

    What a mess!

  4. A few hours ago (on Sunday 1 March) the US announced its first casualties: 3 dead and up to ten injured. This will not sit well with the American public. And on the question of Russia: Putin has described the attack on Iran as despicable and against international law; while Trump (the Putin admirer) described the deceased Supreme Leader as one of the most evil men ever to have existed! Irony or hypocrisy?

    • @Ken, I wonder if this attack will prompt Putin to release some of the kompromat he has in Trump?

For me one of the saddest things is that even if the Israelis finally throw out Netanyahu and his vicious ultra-rightwing hardliners in the next election, they’ll be paying the price of Netanyahu’s crimes against the Palestinians and Muslim countries for decades to come. Netanyahu has radicalized and created generations of anti-Israeli “terrorists” through his actions.

    • You do kniw that Khammeni was a horrifically evil man, don’t you? The Shah obviously had his flaws, but women had the right to dress as they pleased. They had the right to vote, They could be part of the government, they were encouraged to go to university. In other words, they were free. There was religious freedom.

Contrast that with the hanging of a 19 year old woman for wearing her burka wrongly. Or virgin women being r ape d before being executed, because, r ape is always the woman’s fault and if she is defiled, she won’t go to heaven. And last month, 14,000 people were executed for protesting the cost of living. And the only religion tolerated is Islam. And you don’t want to know what happens to those who aren’t.

I don’t like Trump, and I didn’t like what he did in Venezuela, because I believe, generally that countries should deal with their own domestic problems without interference. But Iranians inside and outside of Iran begged for help. And he has done that. And it needed to be done. Maybe he should have asked for Congress’s permission. But considering the security threats to all Western countries, what choice did he have? Compare that to Starmer, whose first job is to protect the UK. He chose to protect his Muslim vote instead. The man is an utter disgrace! I sincerely hope that our military consider becoming volunteer forces with our allies, because that might be our only defence.

      • Not so sure about the disgrace. For those of use who remember the Iraq debacle all too clearly it was a relief that he held back.

        • And honestly I am proud of Keir Starmer, he is one of very few leaders who have a backbone and can stand his ground and confront Trump. Astrology did indicate that the two will have differences, in one of his statements he said “Britain doesn’t believe in changing regimes from the air”

          • Yes, it was one of those rare moments when I actually applauded him. Now Trump is attacking the UK as well as Spain.

          • And in fact threatening Spain with invasion because they refused to allow him to use bases there. So he’s now talking about ordering Bessant to cut all trade with Spain. Spain does little trade with the US anyway, but threatening former allies because they won’t go along with this foolish expedition is unwise, when there might come a time when the US may need them.

We are not dealing Franklin D Roosevelt here, to paraphrase Trump.

        • You do kniw that Iran funds all the terrorism activities in the UK? And did you know that it was Jimmy Carter that chose to overthrow the Shah and back the mullahs instead. And we supported this under James Callaghan’s watch and so did the French.

And it was Obama who chose to give Iran back it’s nuclear deterrent. He thought he could control them with sanctions. He was wrong. Iran is nothing like Iraq. Equating the two as the same is ridiculous. And while nobody wants war, this one is necessary. It is necessary for us in the west, and it is necessary for the Iranian people. And Starmer has betrayed the British people and the RAF, who he might as well have asked to play hop scotch while waiting to be fired at so they could fire back. The Germans are having to do their job. Starmer is a lawyer, who fancies himself as a statesman. Which he is extremely poor at. And there is nothing to be proud of there.

          • Linda. Do you have family with babies on holiday and now stuck in Dubai or roundabouts at the moment? I’ll wait.

These words about war is necessary etc always amaze me coming from armchair commentators with thousands of miles distance between themselves and the war

          • @linda
The primary motivator of this war was Netanyahu who has been lying about irans nuclear capacities for years .
For all the crimes of irans awful regime (and there are any) , their support of Palestine has been unwavering and that is why Netanyahu hates them (as well as the fact that he is jealous if irans standing as one of the great civilisations of history) .
Trump has zero concern for the people of Iran (or anywhere) .
He is under the thump of the lobbies that pay him and the owners of the Epstein files .
3/4 of Americans are against the strikes on Iran and he has failed them on every promise (their cost of living has been exacerbated by his tariffs, he promised no foreign wars and now American soldiers have died … on behalf of a country the Americans now don’t trust due to their behaviour in Gaza) .

Starmer refusing to be involved was actually the first genuinely statesman things he has done during his tenure .
He has already compromised his integrity by over supporting the rogue state during their genocide … you want him to then end his career with
            Iraq (pt 2) ?

Trumps concern is the brics .
That include China, Russia Iran and a load of middle and far East Asians .

All trump and BIBI led war has done is show the world that America is a worthless ally .
The countries Iran hit ? American “allies” with military bases that the Americans didn’t even defend .
Other ironies ? Saudi has since arrested mossad operatives in their soil doing the usual Israeli “false flags” .

And all for project “greater Israel” … a “country” that treats its OWN brown and black Jews as second class citizens .
Putin ? He just released recordings of Barak in the early 200s asking for a million Russians because he was sick of Arab and black Jews and wanted more white people (even if they weren’t Jewish) .

You are absolutely right that Iran deserved better (more women in higher education in the 70s that here even) … but so do the people of Israel and America because their leaders are no better .

      • Khomeini and the Iranian nation wasn’t the greatest, but the Shah was just as destructive for the people, unless of course you were one of the elite that profited off the system, and exiled once he fell. Thos are the ones cheering on the bombing of innocent humans, for the freedom to wear what they want – They definitely do not want interference or being “saved” oby being bombed to death.
I can assure you that the Iranian people have rallied around Khomeini now and that taking him out has only allowed a more brutal regime to replace him.
Did you know that women dominate at universities, in fields such as engineering?
I have seen multiple videos from women in Tehran with a very relaxed dress code as the rulers had become somewhat moderate.
And how is their practices any different from a number of other countries – the propaganda we have been fed for decades is not what you think. it’s a lot about control of the oil.
Khomeini was actually anti using Nuclear, he was the reason agreements were in place, not so with the new regime.
The US and Israel have set off a catastrophic chain of events that the entire world will pay for and what for? So Israel can have total homogeny in the region or to cover for the epstein files, or keep trump in power, take your pick.
The media class has a lot to answer for as we have seen over Gaza.
I strongly believe Iran will win this battle, they’ve been preparing for it for a very very long time.

  5. Saturn-Neptune conjunctions are about structures dissolving.

Saturn-Neptune in Leo saw monarchies collapsing – German Kaiser, Austro-Hungarian Emperor, Ottoman Sultan and Russian Tsar all gone.

Saturn-Neptune in Capricorn saw the Communist style of governing collapse in dozens of countries.

Saturn-Neptune in Aries is about war/civil war. Either a formerly mighty/feared military disintegrating (Israel?) or a military junta removed through civil war (does Iran qualify? I would have said they are a theocracy rather than a junta).

The conjunction is on the IC of the US Sibley chart. A poll two weeks ago said 80% of Americans opposed bombing Iran – amazing unity from Americans who don’t agree on much else. If this results in soaring oil prices, they’re going to be furious. The two isolationists in the Trump govt, Vance and Gabbard, appear to have been completely sidelined by the Israel-first crowd. But they might make their move if this is unpopular.

    • Candy, Vance is no isolationist. At least not by conviction. He is whatever his bosses (e.g. Trump, Peter Theil, etc.) tell him to be.

  6. I think the US would do well to take the threats of revenge seriously. It has already been noted that there is a Mars Uranus conjunction on 4th July this year. US citizens would do well to be alert to some extra unplanned fireworks this year. I read somewhere that there had been a 20-fold increase in the number of Iranians arriving illegally in the US in recent years, raising security concerns.

    • Iran is the one country I feared the US would invade at some point in the future, but that doing so would be catastrophic for the country for the very reason that you mention. The Iranians will neither soon forgive nor forget this incursion. This may also play into the US Uranus Return next year, too, somehow, though Trump certainly is looking at it as a pre-text for curtailing the midterm elections in the US this fall.

Americans, meanwhile, are as clueless and oblivious to the hornet’s nest they just whacked as the imbecile is who wore a trucker’s cap on his head while he announced this attack to the public in the early hours of the morning from his Florida retreat. This insufferable, malignant narcissist has made the world an even more dangerous place for Americans and everyone else.

  7. The general consensus is that no one knows what comes next – the lessons of Iraq, Libya, Syria etc are not encouraging.

In a Truth Social post, Trump expressed hopes that the remains of the Iranian regime would quickly adapt to a new reality. He called for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and the police to “peacefully merge with the Iranian Patriots, and work together as a unit to bring back the Country to the Greatness it deserves”. And good luck with that delusion.

    Needs must wait see

    • Hard to know what Trumps plans are or whether he has any aims at all apart from enriching himself and his family during his remaining period in office. What does seem clear is that the neo-conservatives like Mark Rubio are now in charge of foreign policy. The old MAGA non intervention mantra of limited overseas military involvement is dead and buried.

The modern relationship between Iran and the USA is a grudge match that goes back a long way. Iranians have a historical sense of humiliation going back to the overthrow of Mossadeq in 1953 which is replicated by similar lingering resentment in the USA about the events of 1979 and after. This has played out in various ways over different regimes on both sides down the years. Israel has been able to play on this situation down the years in pursuit of its own foreign policy objectives.

The chart for the USA attack is heavily loaded with Mars aspects. These include oppositions to Israel and Donald Trump’s natal Mars, a conjunction to the US 1776 Sibley Moon and squares to Mark Rubio’s natal Saturn at 27 Taurus out of sign opposition to his Jupiter at 0 Sagittarius conjunct Neptune at 1 Sagittarius. The latter configuration is heavily activated this year. Even the hapless UK Labour government is feeling the heat with Mars squaring its 2024 natal Uranus in Taurus though that has as much to do with domestic as international matters.

      • Trump thought this would be another Venezuela – decapitate the leader, install a friendly successor, bish bash bosh, it’s over in a day.

He got over-confident. Especially as the Ayatollah functioned like an elderly pope: provided religious guidance, but executive/administrative power lay elsewhere.

    • Looking further at Rubio’s chart he has retograde Pluto at 27 Virgo trine his Saturn in Taurus. My guess he may have played a decisive role in recent events. His chart will continue to be activated right upto the next Uranus/ Mars square in December 2026.

    • “Trump expressed hopes that the remains of the Iranian regime would quickly adapt to a new reality.” Adapting is easy for Gemini Trumpton. Interesting to see how the masses cope after a lifetime of supression.
Less serious but pertinent: travel plans in chaos. Very mercury retrograde!

    • Iran has been very adept at sending out assassins to kill or kidnap outspoken opponents abroad, including in the US. I would not be in the least surprised if the Iranian government activated sleeper cells in the US to commit a splashy, destructive terrorist attack or assassination of a prominent US official associated with these attacks.

      • True, but how many Iranian scientists, officials, generals, etc. have been assassinated by Israel (with full US backing in one way or another). The US itself is an old hand at killing and kidnapping those in foreign countries who stand in the way of their interests – Maduro the second-most recent example. Murder, whether committed by a State or a criminal, always leaves behind grieving, angry family members.

    • Did you miss the four Americans on the speedboat who were killed by Cuban authorities after attempting to enter Cuban waters the other day?
They were probably CIA, but the relatives of one of them tried to downplay it as if he was just a loose cannon who was obsessed with liberating Cuba.
I guess this is the sequel to Clinton’s Wag the Dog.

      • @ Roderick,

Yes, I read about the speedboat incident. They probably were CIA agents. I have a sneaking suspicion this is only the beginning. Cuba is likely going to be the next pit stop for that modern-day Caligulia.

  8. Hi Marjorie, could you provide any insight about the forecast for China in relation to this strike. Yes, the man in the White House is deranged and chaotic, but could this be part of a calculated strategy to sabotage China’s economic strength? First cut off Venezuelan oil, now Iranian oil… Thanks.

  9. I despair of our media. Mostly supportive of these strikes but little of the context about Trump tearing up the nuclear weapon agreement that Obama had signed. So the anti-war war-mongerer carries on. They take out the Ayatollah but also more than 100 primary schoolgirls as well and you have to search for that part of the story well down the agenda. The Iran regime has been terrible to its own people, yes, but Trump and his backers have shown their own desire to rule as dictators, or as near as they can get to that. Horrific.

    • Interesting that the most vocal critic so far is Marjorie Taylor Greene: she notes that not only is this a flagrant attempt at distraction from Epstein files, but also heaps scorn on the fake WMD justification. She also expressed heartfelt sympathy for those killed in Iran. She said Trump has lied not just to his MAGA base, but to all Americans, about being a no-war President.

  10. The Shah was exiled and the moment he left he was represented by the rx Leo Jupiter square a Taurus Chiron by 7 minutes. It is reforming late June, early July. Then Neptune-Pluto sextile (symbol of the Ayatollah in 1979) gets exact around the same time and at the end of July the two make a tight cradle with Uranus all at 4 degrees. The Shah, the religious leader/gov, and the people of Iran. Will be very interesting to see an important day and time for Iran. Depending on which house each planet draws, very interesting outcomes could ensue.

  11. 1953 Sat / Neptune conjunction in Libra, PM of Iran overthrown by US/UK.

Patritius’ commented that his Iranian friend wanted Iran to be free, but not by the Americans, this made me think about a totally unrelated UK news story this week about Ian Huntley being attacked. The guy responsible is also a seriously nasty piece of work and I’ve seen debate online this week re both topics around the lesser of two evils. Personally I am reflecting on how the current astrology relates to that debate.

    • It raises not only the question of whether two wrongs make a right, but also the question as to whether ends justify means – (Trump has claimed today that his mission was a “noble” one – if he even understands the meaning of the word…) Interesting comparison in that regard with the decision to bomb Hiroshima: 6 August 1945 – Saturn was in Cancer, Neptune was in Libra, Pluto was in Leo, Uranus and Mars were in Gemini. Or the start of US bombing of Vietnam Feb 1965: both Uranus and Mars were in Virgo.

  12. During the Iraq and Afghan debacles, an Iranian acquaintance of mine said that of course he wanted Iran to be free, but not by the Americans. Perhaps, American policy makers should take that remark to heart

    • I have begun to think of Trump as a tool. He’s a bludgeon on Mexico, Venezuelan, Iran and probably will be for Cuba too. He’s a catalyst for change but what happens afterwards is what is going to matter bc Trump isn’t healthy enough to direct how everything he has just broken will play out. The people have to decide whether they take back their countr(ies) and what is to happen to them. As do Americans. So, all of these people and their leaders, will have to decide, bc Claudia could use this as a chance to dismantle the cartels under the cover of Trump, or she could choose to let it be a blip. In a weird way he’s giving a lot of people an opportunity if they decide to take it. In no way does he have the right to do any of this, but it’s done, America is over, and it’s all self inflicted, hopefully we choose to rebuild post trump with consideration of our communities, the climate, and with very different values at the center of what we build post Trump. Probably it will be a mix bag, but hopefully the arc is a bit stronger towards the good.

      • Jaidy: In a weird way he’s giving a lot of people an opportunity if they decide to take it. In no way does he have the right to do any of this, but it’s done, America is over, and it’s all self inflicted…

And that’s the problem with the conservative mindset.
They think they can set something in motion and walk away from the consequences.
In that respect conservatives are very-childlike especially from the aspect that if something doesn’t happen right now it is not connected to a certain action and therefore they can deny any responsibility.

  13. Thank you Marjorie. Some very clear astrology pointing to conflict, plus the numerous complications and conflict right across the region today. The widespread disruption to flights is perhaps described by Mercury Rx in Pisces? I don’t think Iran has many allies there, so that may also influence how events continue to unfold. I noticed ‘partnership’ asteroid Juno is at 27 Scorpio conjunct Pluto for Iran 1501, which might point to an extra intense response from any allies Iran does have? Not a happy thought when it comes to Russia.

With Pisces being associated with religion, it could be relevant that this is now the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, which began about ten days ago. Many will be fasting from dawn until dusk each day across the Middle East. Traditionally, dying during this month is considered a “blessing”, as scholars say the gates of paradise are open, while those of hell are closed.

Personally, I sometimes feel as if current times are more in tune with Ariel’s line from the Tempest:
“Hell is empty and all the devils are here”.

  14. I agree with you Marjorie, this attack on Iran does not look like it will produce what US/Israel are expecting. It won’t be easy to win as they thought. One analyst said “Obama signed a nuclear deal with Iran years ago go not to produce a nuclear weapon, Trump came and cancelled it, now they are in war with Iran not to produce a nuclear weapon”. Israel itself doesn’t look like it is getting a relief anytime soon, it still looks to be under panic mode for many years to come. Like you said before, Trump looks like he is trying to create some distraction from problems at home, it’s Epstein files and economic woes on the other. Voters are feeling completely betrayed from voting him in, he promised them a strong economy and no war, but he is doing the opposite now.

    • @Tshele,

Reuters reported that Israel claims Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed in the strikes.

I think this will just result in a power struggle and possibly a civil war in Iran. The country is going to become like Iraq.

      • One report cited this birth date for the Ayatollah: April 19, 1939.

Which certainly could reflect very powerful, driven, and perhaps harsh leadership (potential with his Aries Mercury, Moon, Saturn, and Sun ruled by a Capricorn Mars).

          • Yes, it’s confirmed he is dead. But in astrological terms what I meant to say by saying US/Israel attack is not going to produce the desired results as they are expecting, meaning that even if Khamenei or whoever is eliminated, the problem is still not solved, Islamist government will still continue to rule Iran. Remember Mercury is retrograde now. That is clearly shown by astrology, Israel is not out of the woods even if they destroy nuclear development in Iran. They are still facing more conflict, threats from surrounding Islamic countries. Israel problems are still far from over. According to reports, Iran has been preparing for a long time already for possible Khamenei assassination, they already know the way forward from now, who is going to take over.

    • And Mercury Retrograde… Ancient leaders and many current cultures consult astrology for the most auspicious times for war and weddings. I’ve often thought our modern leaders (not just government, but any organization) should do likewise (Nancy Reagan did have an astrologer), but I suppose that even if one of them would, they’d be too embarassed to admit it, and more ‘rational’ advisers would prevail. Personally I only mention astrology to people with whom I feel safe in doing so, such as this site, and certain family members and friends.

    • The irony is the USA has interfered ruthlessly in the Middle East with little good affect but the one time France and England had come very close to victory in 56 in Suez, Eisenhower crushed it and from that moment all this mess there developed. He hated France and England so much he was determined to undermine their successful campaign. Had he not done so we would not be in the perilous world we are today. Not sure how the astrology of that works
