India and Pakistan – molten lava erupts again

The past is never dead. It’s not even past.”  William Faulkner.

Groundhog Day rolls round in Palestine-Israel, Russia and Eastern Europe and now India-Pakistan with the old hatreds flaring up like volcanic lava.

One India commentator remarked about the recent Kashmir tit for tat violence: “These tensions are unlikely to subside anytime soon. They are rooted in longstanding historical faultlines and questions of national identity.” “At the heart of the tensions is the question of identity rooted in the scars of partition in 1947 that created the countries of India and Pakistan. The Pakistani state – and in particular the military and intelligence establishment – has derived legitimacy from maintaining a well-entrenched anti-India identity.”

And since Narendra Modi took over a decade ago in India with a pro-Hindu, anti-Muslim stance the antipathy has only increased.

There have been several Indo-Pakistan military conflicts since 1947, mainly over Kashmir and individual atrocities such as the Mumbai bombing in November 2008 by Lashkar-e-Taiba, a Pakistan-based Islamist militant organisation, and several others in the 1990s in retaliation for riots which killed many Muslims. LeT is thought to be protected by Pakistan Intelligence services and used as a proxy.  Their ideology is the restoration of Islamic rule over all parts of India and in neighbouring countries. Indeed Hafiz Saeed, a scholar of Islam, has said that the purpose of Jihad is to carry out a sustained struggle for the dominance of Islam in the entire world. He considers India, Israel and US to be his prime enemies. The Lashkar-e-Taiba does not believe in democracy and nationalism.

Minimal astrology since it has all been said in previous posts:

India & Pakistan – remembering a bloody birth 8th August 2022

Kashmir – a beautiful conflict zone 25th April 2025

Kashmir – beautiful and dangerous 6th August 2019

The key figure in Pakistan appears to be Asim Munir, head of the Army who took over on 29 November 2022 at 11.30am, Rawalpindi (source: India astro website). That hints at failure towards the year end with high tensions in 2026 and a clash of opinions.

The broader question is whether these historical hatreds will ever run out of steam. The English and French fought each other for centuries until they finally backed off shooting each other and contented themselves with sharp comments.

There are no indications that the two significant astrological markers of the past fifty years – the triple conjunction in Capricorn of the late 1980s/early 1990s and this upcoming Uranus trine Pluto sextile Neptune Saturn – are going to make the slightest difference to the above standoffs.

  1. India was one country for most of its existence, now two, primarily because of religious beliefs. If feels, to me as an observer , like twins being ripped apart. Their astrology is the same, like twins, their country’s were only born hours apart. Perhaps both India and Pakistan are too much alike, to distinguish their own identity in some ways? As for centuries they shared their DNA culture. Maybe the conflicts are a need to reconnect, even it is in a negative way? Britain went through a religious Catholic and Church of England war, we resolved it. We too, fought with Scotland in the past. It is early days for these two countries. History will only tell if they can work out a way to live by each other or their need is too great to control.

    • Helen, Thanks. Interesting point. I have often wondered about the unified India chart of 1 January 1877 which showed up dramatically the major earthquake in Hyderabad years ago -much more so that the India chart. The 1877 chart has a Mars in Scorpio opposition Pluto square Uranus so is definitely troubled.

  2. Machiavelli wrote that non white complexioned r timid. Seems Gandhi hence proposed non violence and with huge illiterate and always poor population of multiple faiths to sects…it’s always chaos unlike Europe where atleast religion is same and poverty isn’t about daily survival nor complexion complexes to neither huge population scattered.

Wherever poverty and illiteracy abound, corrupt keep fires burning for their greed and since they too have come out of same they know that flattery will keep them out of it unlike ethics and work and for generations they claim to justify free money as justice of ancestors work.

  3. I totally disagree that media is telling the truth. Take a look at CNN such a high rated news outlet. Without confirming whatever Pakistan is telling they are posting it as it is. At least ABC news has a courtesy that they confirmed that whatever Pakistan is saying, nothing can be confirmed with proof. Most times people read headlines. People seldomly click links to read the full details. In present world it is easier to confirm if the pictures shared are from recent events or old events. This is so unfortunate that mostly we read negative news, especially Asian nations. It is surprising that these media outlets do not find anything positive in those nations.

    • It’s not surprising since fact they r taught is that sensationalism sells and it comes only from negative….people like unhappiness as it makes them forget theirs while positive news makes reminds them of their being loser

  4. That is a media fed news or opposition propaganda. Did you ever see Modi using hate speech or word against any other religious group? He only demonstrates that he is a strong believe in Hinduism. Whatever media or people were saying, he never accepted or denied those statements, in fact he never owned those at all.
In order to being defensive, my argument is about did you ever listen to his speech against any religion before declaring him a pro-Hindu, anti-Muslim leader. Infact, India has much better relationships with lots of progressive Muslim majority nations.

    • And only and only Hindus r massacred in his era…isn’t it weird ?

For your information, Modi has gone against nepal in returning to Hindu nation …written and declared to global media…

  5. Pakistan military is the terrorist organisation India is fighting, Pakistan is an Islamic country they have nothing to lose they’re using their resources to bring India a predominantly Hindu constitutionally secular country. Muslim population within India with millions of Pakistani and Bangladeshi Rohingya population which has completely mingled in our country poses a dual threat within and without. Like the grooming gangs of UK Muslims have no compunction about using whatever tactics to increase their power and numbers. They have finally pushed the regular Indian to a certain extent to become more defensive towards them. That’s what is going on India will have to defeat them there is no other way. We aren’t dealing with human beings they are pre conditioned to follow their religion.

    • Devi, what would happen if you could change your opinion/beliefs, to lighten up and open your heart? If you could start and mirror an attitude of love for your fellow roommates on planet earth and spread love and positivity to all of Mother Earth…you could make a difference

  6. The interesting thing to note is that both the Israel-Palestine conflict and the India-Pakistan conflict date back to approximately the same time; the immediate post WWII period.

We know that that is one Uranus cycle ago and that tr Pluto is opposition natal Pluto of that time period.

But would it be possible to map the other events in those conflicts (the Indo-Pak wars of 1965 & 71, the Munich massacre of 1972, etc) against each other and against the movements of the outer planets and possibly also of the eclipses of those years?

  7. I understand it is not a political place but I keep watching interpretation based on Media biases. I am not sure why the western world is so biased towards Hindu leaders/India. No one commented when many Hindus were killed in Bangladesh recently and many times in Pakistan. Not even a single country raised a voice when mass massacre happened in Kashmir for a very long period. Can you check muslim population in India and Hindu populations in other partitioned nations. You can safely interpret that Muslims are much safer in India vs Hindus in Bangladesh or Pakistan.
Please stop looking at what media is portraying. Please take a look at real facts before making any statement.

    • Media isn’t biased. What are reported are facts. The world expects better from India because they know that India is far better democracy than Pakistani ever has been.

There are no such expectations from countries like Pakistan and Bangladesh hence more scrutiny of India when India starts to follow their direction.

      • Absolutely…as Hinduism states,”Brave isn’t one who fights. It is one who can control in times of provocations

    • Why so defensive? There is nothing above suggesting an anti-Indian viewpoint. Indeed by the time I had read up on the LeT manifesto I began to warm slightly to Modi’s trenchantly pro-Hindu approach. But the fact of the matter is nothing will ever get sorted while tribal/religious identities blind each side to the other point of view. Roll on the better side of Pluto in Aquarius which might just manage to foster the appreciation of difference and raise tolerance of the Other to a higher level.
