The agency’s track record of past screw-ups is not such as to inspire respect anywhere but a new book points to the risks of putting “the instruments of American national security in the hands of crackpots and fools.” The author Tim Weiner, says “I’m not known as a great defender of the CIA but neither am I a defender of willful ignorance.” He says appointing “a coterie of dangerously incompetent and servile acolytes to the highest positions of national security” will blind them to a coming attack.
Made all the more likely since allies may now be reluctant to share sensitive information with the US, given Trump’s on-off bro-romance with Putin and others; and his appointment of those like Tulsa Gabbard, who have had Russian connections.

While I understand some scepticism about the men in grey suits in the state sector, costing a fortune, often incompetent and rarely held accountable, Trump and others’ obsession with the ‘deep state’ is a psychological curiosity. Maybe connected to his Pluto in the 12th which will give him deep-seated suspicions as well as a desire to wield secret power himself.

What maybe has not been taken on board sufficiently is Trump’s total lack of Earth signs. The ’deep state’ may be dodgy in areas but it is the machinery of government, what keeps it ticking over. He has no understanding of the nuts and bolts of a functioning system – to which he is taking a wrecking ball at the moment. What happens when it all falls down?

The CIA being a Virgo means they are good at finding faults, in Astrology Virgo people are usually perfectionists, they are often good at solving difficult situations and problems. Trump is definitely not a fan of CIA, he is the kind of a person who does not like to be corrected. Even when he is wrong he always insists that he is right. The CIA was always going to be a thorn on his side, this will continue for many years to come. He has been attacking and threatening the Fed’s Jerome Powell, and forcing him to cut interest rates, and if you look at it now Jerome Powell was right, inflation in June hit 2.7% which is too high, it is going up, which means that the Fed Reserve does not have a room to cut interest rates, they must actually increase them. I think Trump does not understand how economy works. Even if he fires Powell, whoever replaces him is not going to be able to cut interest rates. Trump must rescind his tarrifs if he wants to see interest rates going down and, economic growth. But we all know he won’t admit that he was wrong about tarrifs, he will put the blame on someone else.
Trump has likely alredy cost the CIA or its network many lives because of his misuse of secret documents, some of which he may have sold. If the US were still a country under the rule of law, he would have benen jailed for 20 years instead of being reeelected. Democracy and the Constitution are only for gullible people now.
Of course, this will end in catastrophe, perhaps worse than Pearl Harbor. Xi Jinping and Putin cannot believe their luck while they run circles around the President of the US. They marvel at the stupidity of much of the the American people. To them and other countries, Trump personifies the decline of the US.
In Canada, we have to grin and bear it but it is unlikely we will ever trust the US again.
Marjorie, how does the astrology line up between the CIA and J.D. Vance? I ask because I assume once DJT leaves the scene (feet first or otherwise), J.D. will be the interim successor. Since it’s widely believed J.D.’s public alignment with DJT’s views is merely performative, to appease his boss, might J.D.’s advent to the presidency augur a retreat from the dangerous “Deep State” vendetta nonsense? I can’t find an exact date for MI5/6, other than October 1909 on their website. However, there are links with the CIA’s chart. It’s Uranus 26 Gemini is conjunct MI5’s Pluto, 26 Gemini. CIA Sun in Virgo, plus Venus, oppose M15’s retrograde Mars in Pisces which moves from 28 to 25 Pisces in October 1909. September’s Solar Eclipse in Virgo will impact those, making me wonder what else will emerge and what it might mean for the longstanding connections between the two Secret Services.
The opposition between Uranus 17 Capricorn and Neptune 19 Cancer in 1909 links with the CIA Mars in Cancer, as well as the UK Moon. The US is in for a world of hurt because of Trump’s vindictive wrecking ball. It’s not a question of if, but when, the US will experience a disastrous and humiliating attack because of intelligence failures. What foreign intelligence agency would trust Trump and his minions with sensitive information, knowing it would be shared almost immediately with the wrong people or enemies?
