A tangled mess of an abandoned China spy trial has left Keir Starmer looking inept and the political classes across the board perplexed about how to tackle the China situation. One commentator said ‘China is a superpower with near-monopoly control of some mineral resources and pre-eminence in important manufacturing supply chains. Trusting friendship is not an option; hostile rejection is unrealistic.’
One unconfirmed theory is the spy case was dropped as China issued new regulations on its rare earth exports which would give Beijing the power to dictate what is done with key products sourced from China, affecting everything from cars to solar panels and missiles. Almost all companies affected have nowhere else to go.
The Head of MI5 and other prominent former CPS directors and security ministers have all warned about the risks posed by China’s spying activities. But no one seems to know how to cope about the chokehold China holds in economic terms.
What is clear from the astrology is that 2026/27 will be a testing time for the UK/China relationship with the composite Jupiter in Aries square Saturn in Cancer bring undermined by tr Saturn Neptune; with jolts from tr Uranus opposition Uranus; and undermining influences in the following years towards the decade’s end. The USA and even more so the EU appear to be at odds or panicked over China in 2026 and onwards for a few years.
Keir Starmer’s relationship with Xi Jinping will be nerve-stretched and at odds throughout the winter and worse from late April onwards. Trump is looking agitated with him even earlier than that.
In the midst of a range of imponderables the Bank of China chart, 1 December 1948, is heading for a bubble-bursting downturn in 2026/27 when tr Saturn Neptune square the BofC Mars Jupiter in Capricorn exacerbated by Solar Arc Neptune conjunct as well. 2026/27 will have its own set of financial challenges extending on for two years.
Xi Jinping’s personal chart, 15 June 1951, with murmurs of his impending exit, is showing signs of an impulsive push forward in the face of failing plans this year, followed in 2026 by major setbacks.
His initial Presidency chart, 14 March 2013 11.51am is on the slide from March 2026 onwards with a raft of unfavourable aspects culminating in a gigantic upheaval late 2026.
The China 1 January 1912 chart will be blocked early October this year and January 2026 with tr Saturn square the Pluto; facing a degree of chaos in 2026 with SA Pluto square the Neptune which could be a major natural disaster amongst other effects. With some luck from tr Uranus opposition Jupiter; but heading into high insecurity and perhaps high risk in 2027 as the SA Uranus is conjunct Mars.
None of which solves the problem of how to tackle Chinese infiltration or economic coercion. But it won’t all be going China’s way.

@Jane, Fascinating! Might there be archaeological grounds to deny a construction permit? I love the William the Conqueror connection.
Ha! Great idea, Nicole. Previous excavations revealed an extensive Roman presence, plus:
“The Royal Mint site, some 2ha (5 acres) in extent, lies to the north-east of the Tower of London (Fig. 1). Documentary sources show the site was the location of a Black Death cemetery, a Cistercian abbey and a Royal Navy Victualling Yard.” layersoflondon.org
So, a terrible plague, a religious building, and Royal Navy associations. Each could be linked symbolically to Neptune. Neptune can be linked with epidemics, and was in Pisces for the Plague of Justinian in 541. Saturn conjunct Neptune is around now, not exact, but can suggest tough times too. If deep foundations and basement rooms were dug out for this Chinese embassy, I imagine they might well come across some interesting historical finds. Would a Black Death cemetery put them off?
Thanks Marjorie. What a mess. And this is unfolding at the same time as the controversy over planning permission for China’s vast new embassy. It’s getting a bit tense today:
“China has warned the UK of “consequences” amid an escalating row over its delayed application to build a mega-embassy in London.
It comes after the government confirmed it had pushed back a decision on the controversial site for a second time, to 10 December.
On Friday, Beijing’s foreign affairs ministry said the delay went “entirely against the UK’s commitments and previous remarks about improving China-UK relations”.
Downing Street said it did not “recognise any claims of commitments or assurances”. BBC website
The proposed site, with its mysterious and potentially sinister underground rooms, is close to the Tower of London and St Katherine’s Dock. Interesting to see the 1066 chart – the Moon’s Nodes at 19 Virgo/Pisces align with the Composite Neptune 20 Virgo in the UK/China chart you’ve posted here. Fate? William the Conqueror’s spirit wanting to pull up the drawbridge?
More Neptune appears with the 1066 Neptune at 22 Taurus, the UK 1801 Neptune at 18 Taurus, and the Composite Neptune also at 18 Taurus. Perhaps this offers a simple message of money and deception, amidst so many other weighty considerations. The site is of course beside the River Thames, bringing further watery themes, and on the site of the old Royal Mint – Taurus, buildings, money…..
