China has run into a setback of considerable proportions as of now with similar financial concerns as elsewhere ahead.
The China 1 January 1912 chart has the Progressed Mars opposition the Sun at the moment which will throw obstacles in its path to progress; with jolts and upsets in later March to May 2025; followed by a devastating Solar Arc Pluto square Neptune in 2026/27 alongside an insecure, explosive SA Uranus conjunct Mars. So it will have a bumpy ride as it adjusts to the new era.
The Bank of China chart, 1 December 1948, will be particularly susceptible to tr Neptune Saturn first square the BoC Uranus and then square their upbeat Mars Jupiter in Capricorn through into 2026 which will damp economic confidence considerably.
Xi Jinping’s 3rd Term, 23 October 2022, and his initial presidency from 14 March 2013 both have a key planet which will catch the tr Neptune Saturn hard aspect before mid 2025 into 2026. His 3rd Term is flagging up disappointment exactly now.
Relations with the UK have always been an uneasy balance. The power-struggling yod of Jupiter sextile Uranus inconjunct Pluto is under pressure exactly now from tr Pluto square the focal point Pluto; and will be unsettled when tr Uranus moves into Gemini in July 2025 tugging on one leg of the yod followed in 2026/27 by tr Saturn Neptune opposition the Jupiter – and square the composite Saturn. Nothing that will improve relations and the unrest/suspicion continues almost to the end of the decade.
The EU similarly will be jolted in its relationships with China July to November 2025 with an aggravated tr Uranus square the composite Mars Saturn conjunction. Never a great connection at best it will be knocked off track and in a state of upheaval through 2026/27.
With Russia there will be undermining moments through 2025 with the power imbalance showing.
Iran, perhaps because on internal unrest, will not be providing its usual input of cheer.
With the USA 2026 looks the year of anxiety and tensions though nothing too dramatic.
Marjorie,
It’s interesting that you wrote about this. I just finished reading an article from Nikkei Asia about the relations between China and the United States. Despite having run on anti-China rhetoric and threatening to impose tariffs on Chinese imports, Donald Trump actually appears to be wanting to move the United States closer to China given recent developments. For starters, Donald Trump invited Xi to his inauguration.
I wonder if both China and Donald Trump are moving closer together now that much of the world sees Vladimir Putin as basically a “dead man walking” and the Russian Federation as a much weaker country (both militarily and economically) than they once perceived. In other words, I have noticed that China and Donald Trump have been treating Russia as dead weight lately.
What does the astrology suggest – with regards to relations between China and U.S. going forward?
And yet every utterance from Trump and some members of his newly selected team, suggest that they will rescue Putin from more embarrassment at the hands of Ukraine.
@ Ken,
Vladimir Putin appears to be a sinking ship to many nations right now – even in the Global South. I’m really curious to see how the astrology plays out for Vladimir Putin going into 2025. Marjorie, along with many other astrologers, have implied that Putin could be in for many ups and downs going into the new year….and it’s interesting that relations between Trump and Putin don’t appear as cozy and warm as they did during his previous occupation of the White House.
We shall see.
Elon ‘shadow-president’ Musk has used his new power to remove restrictions on investments in China from a bill that finally passed. By comparison, Trump is just a figurehead, though a very useful puppet for all the wannabe dictators. My sense is that Musk is becoming a far greater threat now as both a multinational power unto himself, and an increasingly unavoidable one in US politics and, most alarmingly, US (as well as international, via Starlink) security. I’d be curious to see how Pluto in Aquarius will affect him …(I see he’s another Cancerian).
That Xi is invited by Trump says volumes to his real intent (and at Taiwan’s expense). Actions do speak louder than words. He might still apply tariffs, if he doesn’t get whatever ‘deals’ he deems useful (most likely to himself than to Americans), have his merch made there, at the same time that he scapegoats China, as he does with virtually every foreign nation – well, except his fellow tyrants and benefactors in Russia, Saudi Arabia and, still, North Korea.
