The shooting of young Tik Tok MAGA influencer and Trump confidant Charlie Kirk has alarmed US political insiders of all persuasions as well as the White House. Though it has a certain irony given his recent comments on the right to bear arms. He said he was “very pro-second amendment”, adding “I fully acknowledge and admit that when you have gun ownership, you’re going to have gun deaths. “There is a cost to liberty. If you argue for second amendment rights and argue that you’re going to get gun deaths to zero, that is a falsehood. Liberty comes at a price. So I believe yes, there will be costs and consequences to having firearm ownership but the positives far outweigh the negatives.”
Against a historical backdrop of Lincoln, the Kennedys, Martin Luther King Jr and Reagan, in recent times political violence in the USA has become a growing feature – Gabrielle Giffords, a Democratic lawmaker in 2011. Steve Scalise, the Republican Congressman, 2017. More recently the violent attack on the US Capitol in 2021, and the two assassination attempts on Trump last year. In April, Josh Shapiro, the Democratic governor of Pennsylvania, was the target of an arson attack; in June, Melissa Hortman, a Democratic state legislator in Minnesota, was killed in her home along with her husband in a politically motivated murder. Overall the U.S. homicide rate was 5.76 per 100,000 inhabitants in 2023; Canada was 1.98 per 100,000 in 2023; the UK 0.99.
Charlie Kirk, 14 October 1993 Arlington Heights, Illinois, was a college dropout who at 18 formed Turning Point USA, a rightwing student organisation that grew to become a key pillar of support for Trump. He had huge reach, with 5.2mn followers on X and 73mn on TikTok; and The Charlie Kirk Show, ranks fourth in the news category on Apple Podcasts.
He became a key propagator of America First talking points, describing the Russia-Ukraine war as a “border dispute”, opposing gay marriage and diversity, equity and inclusion programmes, as well as arguing abortion was murder and denying climate change.
He had an enthusiastic Sun Jupiter (and Moon) in Libra trine Saturn in Aquarius and square an inspired/deluded Uranus Neptune conjunction in Capricorn. With his Saturn in a tough-minded square to Pluto in Scorpio. He also had an intense, penetrating and aggressive Mars Mercury in Scorpio which may have aided in his technique of making discussion opponents look ignorant – except one gathers when he ran into Cambridge University debaters which did not go so well.

What is astro-puzzling is his chart comparison with Trump whose faithful bondsman he has been since the 2016 election. Kirk’s Saturn opposes DT’s Mars and Kirk’s Pluto is conjunct DT’s IC. Kirk’s Mars squares DT’s Pluto and Kirk’s Uranus Neptune opposes DT’s Saturn. Put them in the same room for a week and there would have been trouble.
That translates in their relationship chart to a toxic and explosive Mars Pluto conjunction opposition Uranus plus an illusory composite Sun Venus square Neptune. A relationship that thrived on crisis, hatred and unhealthy levels of excitement. They needed an external enemy to joust against.
As a mark of Trump’s reliance on him and friendship all American flags are to fly at half mast until Sunday.

Years of appeals post death penalty verdicts often fade the heat around the criminal.
Though I’m opposed to the death penalty – aside from mistaken verdicts, I find it amoral to make death a scheduled task for an employee – the singularity of Mangione’s bold choice turning into a trend makes war level punishment seem justified.
I don’t want Mangione killed, but I want assassination fever stopped. It’s a hard moment when one can’t really reconcile oneself. *advertisting* the death penalty could stop weaker fantasists from pulling the trigger.

Well I am not in politics but I don’t agree with Kirk’s views. Personally I love a career woman, I believe my woman should be independent and well educated. The Charlie Kirk that I listened to-out of curiosity of the opposite opinion than my own, was always respectful, kind, funny, and extremely passionate about his faith. Never did I find him ‘hateful’. He was excellent at getting you to question your perspective; that means expanding your mindset beyond what you have always believed. He definitely had a duplicity that many older generation “normies” (including you, I’d guess?) who are not extremely online either failed to notice or exploited. His debates and podcasts were VERY orchestrated. In a way, he was using controlled opposition. His online presence (I consider pods basicly radio), however, was very different and hurtful. For instance, he used TPUSA memebers to pile on and harrass University professor who were teaching “progressive” theories. And mind you, never invited THEM to his podcasts. Because these would have been people capable of distroying his high school history level (he was a community college dropout) understanding of things.
Interestingly, his staunchest opponent was another rightwing influencer, Nick Fuentes (August 19th, 1998), who’d call him a hypocrit and phony. Their “beef” got out of the internet to campuses, where Fuentes supporters, so called Groyper Army, would start trolling “Prove Me Wrong” events. There’s actually some indication Kirk’s shooter was a groyper, his cartiges depicting popular Groyper memes.
As your hope on America “getting a grip” on violence, unfortunately, it’s not going to happen. It seems “adults” there, too busy, despite an occasional moral panic on video games, have left kids roam free in the internet. And don’t have a clue.

I had never heard of Charlie Kirk before his untimely death, so out of curiosity, I did some research. It was very troubling to say the least. I am sure he was charismatic and came across well in public events, but the track record of the organisation he founded and led seems to follow a very, very different path from the one you describe. Check out actions, not words. See the Turning Point Professor Watchlist; read about the proposed Turning Point Academy for schools identified as “poisoning our youth with anti-American ideas” and catering to parents looking for “America-first education” (failed to launch as partners pulled out). Or the February 2023 Brookings Institution study (centrist politics) which found Charlie Kirk’s podcast contained the second-highest proportion of false, misleading, and unsubstantiated statements among 36,603 episodes produced by 79 prominent political podcasters. He openly solicited for funds to pay bail for the ‘patriot’ that broke into Nancy Pelosi’s house and attacked her husband with a hammer. There is so much more. He didn’t want conversations. He wanted converts.

Agree this looks like a professional hit as others better qualified, have also claimed. This wasnt some kid in a crowd brandishing in a gun taking a pot shot. This was a premeditated assassination with the sniper finding a particular spot atop a roof for the best position. The video shows it was one long range shot to the neck which killed him instantly. Those celebrating his death and smugly claiming its his karma are repugnant. He was a young devoted family man with a wife and 2 very young children who will almost certainly have no memory of their father..

I have a very strong natal opposition in my chart. I have Virgo Uranus/Mercury/Pluto, 2nd/3rd house, opposing my Pisces Chiron/Moon in the 9th. Pluto Moon exact, zero degree orb. I mention this, because I find in my life that I encounter so much hostility, so in some ways, I am jealous of public influencers because of all the crazy support they get, in this case, by spewing hatred disguised as Christianity. My mother was a Democrat, my father a staunch Republican conservative who had a Barry Goldwater sign outside on our lawn. I do not like conservatives, I almost ended my life due to my father’s cruel conservative politics, because I find the whole conservative political sphere to be made up of cruel people who are every bit as senselessly hateful as Donald J Trump.
I live in a very conservative area of Texas. I moved here because I follow Astrocartography, I have Libra Mars conjunct my IC, and a T Square with Neptune square Sun and Saturn. Moving here places me on my Venus rising line, I noticed immediately that my life softened and improved greatly, I attribute it to moving away from my strong Mars IC line that made me feel like everyone wanted to beat me down. One thing here that drives me, that motivates me, is to encourage hope. Cancer North Node is on top of my Ascendant, ruled by that 8th or 9th house Pisces Moon. I may not be an influencer, but I am a nurturer and I approach nurturing others in a motherly fashion.
That being said, I am being led to soon start my own YouTube channel. I would like to offer hope and optimism to younger people. The night before Charlie Kirk was killed, I stopped in a local grocery store. A young male employee helped me check out. There was something about him, the store was not busy, so we began to speak to each other, I could tell by the way he spoke and looked at me, that he was in dire need of some hope. He confided in me that he feared that he would never realize his dream of parenting children. This is a topic near and dear to my heart, and I just felt so much motherly energy for this young man. I told him that there is hope, that often, when we get older, we look back on our lives and realize that our greatest fears did not come to pass, that we did in fact, quietly realize certain hopes and dreams. I told him that he had so much life ahead, and that it is so difficult to imagine a future. I explained to this young man that I sadly hear this so much as of late, by so many other young people who I encounter while they are doing their jobs. I explained to this young man that state and federal government really needs to do much more to encourage people of childbearing age, to have and raise families. I told this young man that if the state and federal government really was serious, they would increase the dismal minimum wage, offer childcare incentives to both parents and operators of such establishments. Basically, I tried to infer to this young man, that it was not just him, that this is a worrisome downward trend, that it is possible for governments to encourage, rather than discourage people. None of our talk mentioned politics or religion, it was all about economic opportunities. I told him that he deserved to be paid a living wage, that he deserved to have vacation time, that he deserved to have access to affordable higher and vocational education, that he deserved to have access to affordable heath care insurance, and to one day afford to purchase a less expensive starter home if he wished. In other words, all the things that the state and federal government has made possible for me, over the course of my now 62 yrs.
Charlie Kirk, in my opinion, did not use his platform to offer hope. I must admit, truthfully, before I learned that the bullet that struck Charlie Kirk was so lethal, ( I honestly thought he had merely been pelted by bullets and was not seriously injured ), I smiled. Of course, when I saw the footage shortly before they announced his death, I was not gleeful, just grateful that no other bystanders were struck or injured. When he was alive, I always dreaded his increasing popularity, because I thought his words were harmful to the young generation already struggling with financial dire straits greeting them at every corner. It’s insane how much wealth, how much money is out there, yet being hoarded by those in control of the masses. We are reverting, we are not growing. As far as Charlie Kirk goes, he was all of 31 yrs. old and did not exactly know much. He did realize that he was very lucky during his life, but don’t preach godliness to the masses who are not as lucky as you are.

I find they add clarity and missing details when aspects are just listed and interpretations missing. The point is to know what might be coming.
I no longer watch American media because I believe the US has sunk into a dark hole and will take decades to recover. The American Constitution must be rewritten, but I cannot see how that could happen without another civil war. The Supreme Court and the Constitution both have their Pluto returns coming in a few years. The darkness will worsen for the foreseeable future. I think Canada will need to accept many political refugees after the mid-terms which will solve nothing. Even Trump’s passing could only make things much worse. Vances presidency could be even more sinister.
I have to agree. As a citizen of the UK. I find the tendency of British politicians and the media on both sides of the political spectrum to mindlessly import and then foster American political themes in Britain has had profoundly negative effects. What I find profoundly disturbing is the tendency of people to use what people have thought, written or said as justification or excuse for cold blooded murder.
