Céline Dion is to make comeback with series of concerts in Paris after a neurological condition called stiff-person syndrome stopped her touring after it was diagnosed in 2022. The condition, which affects between one and two people in every million, causes severe muscle stiffness and spasms. Though she has said she did suffer from symptoms for years before that.
She announced her return with an illuminated message on the Eiffel Tower. Her last big appearance was her powerful performance of Édith Piaf’s Hymne à l’amour from the lower deck of the Eiffel Tower in the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics. Her return to performing suggests that she has managed the condition enough to handle the rigours of a season at a single concert venue, though not an international tour. Her concerts will be spaced out, taking place on Wednesdays and Saturdays from September 12 to October 14 this year.

Her musical Venus Mercury in Pisces on the cusp of the international 9th house is opposition the constantly changing Uranus Pluto conjunction in Virgo. Her Jupiter in flamboyant Leo in her 2nd will be lucky with money and it squares creative Neptune in Scorpio.
She also has a yod of Uranus sextile Neptune inconjunct her Moon which will make her emotionally fragile and disorganised.
Saturn rules her 6th house of health and given its position beside the Sun and Midheaven hints at workaholic tendencies and an inability to relax.
Tr Jupiter will move across her Ascendant from July of this year onwards bringing a new cycle of enthusiasm and renewed confidence. Though several of her midpoints have undermining transits this year and her Solar Returns no matter where located look challenging.
But tr Pluto is moving out of her 6th house as of this year where it has been since 2012, so that will lift pressures off her health. And tr Saturn is heading for her Midheaven across the summer and again next year, so she will want to be out pushing her ambitions forward as before.
She evidently spends much time at her home in Las Vegas or did before she paused her career. Her chart relocated there puts Neptune in her 6th and Uranus Pluto in her 4th – not ideal as a restful or health-giving environment. But good for career.
So much admiration for Céline! It is definitely her Aries pushing her through this. I like to compare her chart to another Aries Sun Diva, Mina. Mina has – with a birth time in memory – a last degree Libra Moon and mysterious Venus/Neptune on Taurus MC, and she famously withdrew from public appearances in the 1970s after the death of her husband.
