Bruce Springsteen – lost land of hope and dreams

Bruce Springsteen, the rock’n’roll legend, in what was described as one of the most sustained political attacks from a cultural figure, said at a Manchester concert that Trump is running ‘rogue government’ and ‘siding with dictators’. In a series of blistering speeches on stage he targeted a ‘corrupt, incompetent and treasonous administration’ and called the president “unfit” for office. He pleaded with the audience to “Raise your voices against authoritarianism” before singing an impassioned The Land of Hope and Dreams.

He was born 23 September 1949 10.50 pm Freehold, New Jersey, and is a Sun at zero degrees Libra with a later Libra Moon. His Sun is in a rebellious square to a 1st house Uranus. His performing 5th house is full with musical Neptune, South Node, Mercury, Moon and Venus there – so he was born to seek an audience.

Where he clashes with Trump astrologically is that both have Mars and Pluto in Leo and Trump’s Mars sits on Springsteen’s IC arousing a visceral irritation in him.  Plus DT’s Sun, North Node and Uranus are conjunct Bruce’s Ascendant with DT’s Moon conjunct his Descendant so their chemistry has a capacity for disruptive competitiveness.

Their relationship chart is worse with a composite Sun, Pluto, Saturn, Mars with composite Mars Saturn square Moon. Extreme dislike.

  1. I don’t know the answer, so this is a genuine question. Did Bruce Springsteen (who I’ve seen 3 times in concert) say this about Trump when he was in the USA? I understand they aggravate one another but why did Springsteen say this in Manchester when British people cannot vote in the USA?

    Thanks folks

    • Kind of mixed – as ever. The 2026 Mid terms tr Saturn conjunct his SA Jupiter looks a touch discouraged. The Inauguration in 2029 could be reasonable with tr Jupiter and his SA Mars trine his Midheaven – but 2029 looks dismal later on with tr Pluto opposition his Mars with tr Saturn square his Mars – that is calamity time for whatever reason.

  2. I just can’t believe all the hatred in the world at the moment, none of will be here forever – being too kind has it’s pitfalls in that others will take advantage, but surely we know how to find a middle way.

    • A middle way? Where’s the middle between denial of due procedures under the law and guarantee of those due procedures agreed under law? Especially, in astro terms?

  3. Bruce has blinkers on if he does’ t think Biden-or whoever was in charge under the Democrats wasn’t a corrupt organization-in a different and similar way.

      • Anita, don’t fall for the troll bait.
Ignore that poster like I do.
Unfortunately there’s no block feature on this site.

        • Roderick, I think one of the problems is that both sides of the political debate are far too defensive about their own. No I don’t think there is an equivalence between Trump and Biden or between Trump and anyone frankly – but it should be possible to raise legitimate questions without getting howled down. There’s too much money involved in US politics and Biden was not shining white.

          • @Marjorie, no one said that Biden was perfect but we’re in an environment of science deniers.
Utah along with Florida just banned fluoride as an additive to their water statewide.

I live in northern Alabama and a city next door to mine banned fluoride in their water supply but fortunately got push-back from the citizens so they are public works department is reconsidering the fluoride ban.

It is like the John Birch society has taken over our government.

And no one is howling these people down…they have their own ulterior motives and have been proven to be frauds and kooks like RFK Jr. who recently took his grandchildren swimming in a creek filled with sewage run-off.

          • Roderick, That is a whataboutery. Yes the Trump side is way worse but that should not shut down all debate about Biden’s shortcomings all the way through – which it did. Any slightly critical comment was howled down as likely to breach the seawall and allow the Trump tsunami to flood in.
A flawed and corrupt political system is never going to be sorted out if everyone clings onto their flawed hero with desperation.

  4. Apparently, those two men did not take the same train. At the end of their days, which one will be able to watch at himself in the mirror and say: I thought, talked and acted rightly?

  5. God Bless the Boss. I was just looking at Tom Petty’s chart, he also had four planets lined up in Libra. He was born the year after Springsteen.

  6. In numerology the #22 gives fame. He has 22 on his Asc/Dsc for “public projection.”
In the Scorpio rising USA chart, the USA Moon, public, falls on his MC, public adoration.

    • I hope the Boss is allowed back in the country without being harassed because we know how petty and vindictive Trump can be.

      • Trump has been predictably petty and vindictive regarding Springsteen in his latest rant on TS: ‘This dried out ‘prune’ of a rocker (his skin is all atrophied!) ought to KEEP HIS MOUTH SHUT until he gets back into the Country, that’s just ‘standard fare.’ Then we’ll all see how it goes for him!”
