The justified furore over the Parkland, Florida school shooting is not abating, in part due to the upswell of outrage from young people, who are making their voices heard. The statistics on mass shootings by assault rifles are staggering (see URL WPost below). Since the ban was lifted in 2004 incidents using this type of weapon have tripled and deaths almost quadrupled.

Senator Marco Rubio had an uncomfortable ride at a CNN debate, faced down by a father of one of the dead children. The NRA has contributed around $3million to support Rubio’s campaigns and he has always been a staunch supporter of gun rights.

Born 28 May 1971 FL, he has a cool, unemotional Air Grand Trine of a Gemini Sun trine Mars in stubborn Aquarius trine Uranus, with his Sun opposition a high-finance Jupiter Neptune. He’s running into real trouble fairly soon with his Solar Arc Mars approaching the dead-halt opposition to his Pluto over coming months; with a few unpleasant jolts from tr Saturn square his Uranus.

He’s fairly locked into the NRA chart, with their relationship having a composite Venus Pluto opposition Mars square the North Node. Though that is coming under increasing pressure especially through 2019/2020 with tr Neptune conjunct the composite Saturn; and tr Pluto leaning heavily on Pluto, then Mars and Venus. It’ll be anguished and bloody.

Trump’s relationship chart with the NRA is warmly friendly and mutually supportive; but there’ll be a jolt or two in April; and even more so in July.

Wayne LaPierre, Vice-President of the NRA, has been shooting off his mouth defending the Second Amendment, voicing the usual alt-right paranoia about individual freedoms being impinged. He’s a trenchant Sun Scorpio square Pluto and square an Aquarius Moon, so will not budge easily, if at all. But tr Neptune conjunct his Mars from this May and through 2019 could well pull the rug from under his feet. Though he won’t go down with a fight back. But something may shift.

Brit actor Daniel Kaluuya is on a roll being named as Bafta’s Rising Star on Sunday, enjoying the resounding box office hit of his latest movie Black Panther and in the running for an Oscar for his role in Get Out.

Born 8 May 1989 in London of Ugandan immigrant parents, he studied acting in a free afterschool community theatre club which encouraged improvisation; and started his writing career young as well; in later years contributing to the writing of the TV teen drama Skins, in which he also acted. At 21 he was winning awards for his stage acting and it was all upwards from there.

He’s a Sun Taurus in a determined opposition to Pluto and trine Saturn Neptune (Uranus) in Capricorn. So part of the can-be-tinged-with-genius triple conjunction generation. His Uranus opposes Mars in Cancer so he likes risk, appreciates a high-adrenaline atmosphere. His Jupiter in Gemini is conjunct her Mercury and inconjunct his creative Neptune Saturn, giving him both confidence and edginess.

He looks solid enough with two Taurus planets and three in Capricorn to stand up to the rigours of success and a high-stress career. His Solar Arc Pluto is opposition his Jupiter, late 2017 and early 2018, giving him a tremendous boost.

Both his creative 5^th Harmonic and his actor’s 15H are heavily aspected.

Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, is not well-designed to be out on a glittering stage with her Cancer Sun, Mercury, Venus and Moon all in the 12^th and trine a 4^th house Jupiter in Scorpio. Happiest out of sight, behind the scenes or pottering about at home with her children and grandchildren, she is however well-suited to a husband who prickles if anyone else encroaches on his spotlight.

Born 17 July 1947 7.10am (biography) London, she has a defensive persona with the tough Saturn Pluto in Leo just below her Ascendant, doubly emphasised being on the focal point of a mini-Grand Trine of Mars in Gemini trine Neptune. Saturn Pluto types tend to attract strong reactions – Hillary Clinton, Liz Greene to name but two. People are either for or against them.

Life came easily to her with a comfortable, wealthy, well-connected childhood family. Despite a fling with Prince Charles, who according to reports was dithering and would anyway have been under pressure not to consider a non-virgin as wife, she married the catch-of-the-season Andrew Parker Bowles. He is a Capricorn with a Cancer Moon and his Venus was conjunct her Descendant opposition Pluto on her Ascendant, so there would be a strong attraction; though he was a womaniser.

Quite when she picked up again with Prince Charles prior to or after his marriage isn’t clear since Diana fans and Diana herself were determined to paint the worst possible picture. I’d also enter a caveat that there is no sense in applying middle-class morals to the aristos and county set since they always lived by different rules. ‘Produce the heir and spare and then suit yourself’ seemed to be the accepted rule of thumb.

What is clear is that Camilla put him back together when he was at his nadir over the breakdown of his marriage. Her Jupiter is conjunct his 4^th house Sun; and her four Cancer planets fall in his 12^th – so a behind-the-scenes support, and she’ll be a good listener with those 12^th house planets. Curiously Camilla’s Aries midheaven is within a degree as Charles’ so they share the same trajectory.

Diana, on the other hand, had her angry Mars Pluto in Virgo conjunct Charles’ Saturn and trine his Taurus Moon which is not a good mix; and their relationship chart had an outdoing-each-other-for-attention Mars Neptune conjunction, which proved more than problematic.

Camilla’s relationship with Charles isn’t that easy. On the upside there’s a composite Moon opposition Jupiter square Mercury, so good communication and mutual support. But the Sun is in an argumentative opposition to Mars; and Venus is in a cool conjunction to Saturn.

Diana and Camilla, not surprisingly had difficult crossovers in their charts. Camilla’s Saturn Pluto fell in Diana’s 8^th making Diana feel trapped; with Diana’s Saturn opposition Camilla’s Sun, blocking the other way; and Diana’s Pluto was square Camilla’s Mars for outright hostility.

Camilla will be under pressure in 2019/2020 with tr Pluto square her Sun; with major changes (birth time being accurate) in 2020/21 as her Solar Arc MC is conjunct her Uranus, and tr Uranus squares first her Ascendant, then Saturn and then her Pluto. So quite an upheaval.

His intense 8^th house Sun Venus in Scorpio was square Neptune in the performing 5^th, and trine a 4^th house Jupiter and Pluto in Cancer. His Jupiter especially epitomised the American dream of a happy home and family life; and his Neptune was better suited to a public stage than to a mystical retreat. His 8^th house Mercury in Scorpio was on the point of a T square to Uranus opposition Saturn, giving him persuasive power to speak to the masses. His spiritual 9^th house had Moon Mars, conjunct his midheaven, in crusading Saturn in a self-disciplined and hard-edged trine to Saturn.

There was never much controversy surrounding his life but I wouldn’t imagine he was the easiest of personalities. Saturn opposition Uranus can be autocratic; and Moon Mars trine Saturn doesn’t suggest an entirely sympatico emotional and domestic life. Perhaps that was where he came up with his rule, handed onto Mike Pence, about never being alone with a woman other than his wife.

His get-it-together 5^th Harmonic was strong; as was his leaving-a-legacy 17H; and his superstar 22H.

His son Franklin, 14 July 1952 NC, in charge of his ministry and business for the past two decades is cut from a different cloth, taking up to the old style, harsher fundamentalist evangelism, which his father disavowed. Where his father prayed with presidents of both parties and tried to remain out of the political fray, Franklin has aligned himself with archconservative Republicans and is squarely in President Donald Trump’s corner. His outlook insists that salvation is only for those who accept Jesus as their saviour; and is against Islam, gay marriage and the leaders of the Democratic Party. He says he does not care who he offends if he thinks he is right.

He’s a Sun Cancer conjunct Uranus on one side and Venus on the other; with his Sun Uranus sextile Jupiter in money-magnet Taurus and in a can-be-fanatical square to Neptune. His Uranus is also in an autocratic square to Saturn. His Jupiter opposes Mars in vengeful Scorpio. Jupiter Mars in hard aspect can often signify a ‘holy warrior’ – someone who justifies their angry attacks by using their beliefs as window-dressing. And his Jupiter is also in a pushily confident square to Pluto Mercury in Leo. A heavyweight personality with a fair amount of clout. How he got on with his father is a mystery but there was never any public sign of discord.

17 year old Palestinian Ahed Tamimi’s trial in Israel will be held in closed court against the objections of her attorney. She is charged with 12 offences over multiple confrontations with soldiers spanning back to April 2016 – incitement to violence, aggravated assault, threatening a soldier, incitement on Facebook and throwing objects at people and property. After an initial hearing the proceedings will start in March.

On this most recent occasion she was arrested for slapping an Israeli soldier (in full protective battle kit) after he and his colleagues had parked on her family’s land, fired a rubber bullet into her 14 year old cousin’s face and fired tear gas into their house. She is described as ‘a risk’ to Israel, was been held in isolation and denied access to her parents during interrogations.

She comes from a family who have been engaged in active resistance to Israel’s occupation. From 2013 onwards, they have staged regular demonstrations against the military and the nearby settlers who have taken over their lands and water spring. The protests are met with tear gas, rubber bullets, skunk water and live ammunition. In 2012, Ahed’s father was declared a prisoner of conscience by Amnesty International. In 2013, her uncle was killed by a tear gas canister shot to the head. In 2014, her mother was almost permanently disabled when she was shot in the leg. In 2015, a video of Ahed preventing her younger brother from being arrested went viral. Her cousins and her older brother have spent time in Israeli prisons.

Born 31 January 2001 she’s a Sun Neptune in Aquarius; with an astonishingly formidable and aggrieved Saturn in Taurus opposition Mars in Scorpio square Uranus. She won’t budge easily.

Her Fixed Saturn, Mars, Uranus collide with Israel’s equally Fixed Taurus Sun square Mars in Leo. So it’s an inflammatory and unyielding relationship on both sides. The relationship chart has a bitterly hostile and struggle-to-the-death composite Mars Pluto opposition Sun square Saturn and they don’t get bleaker or more aggravated than that. Chained-together by circumstances and resenting it. There will be a turn-around of sorts in 2019/2020 with tr Pluto square the composite Uranus, but which way that will jump isn’t clear. She’ll be battling on determinedly with tr Pluto sextile her Mars in 2019/2020 and then trine her Saturn for a discouraging, uphill struggle in 2020/2021

It’s non-partisan and anti-corruption.

Born 15 August 1990 8.17pm Louisville, Kentucky, she’s one of the Uranus, Neptune, Saturn conjunction in Capricorn, which will be keen to foster new kinds of politics. Capricorn oversees financial and government institutions. Uranus is reforming. Uranus Neptune can be inspired. Saturn Neptune wants a fairer society. She’s also got do-or-die-determination and guts from Mars in Taurus opposition Pluto square her Leo Sun. And her North Node is in Aquarius, often best served by finding a cause to promote. She has a wide-ish Yod of Sun sextile Moon inconjunct Saturn which, well-handled, can bring a single-minded purpose to life.

If she sticks to her plans she’ll be attacking the problems with vigour with tr Pluto trine her Mars in Taurus from March till late 2019. Though it’ll be an uphill struggle with disappointments and mishaps along the way; with some success and some failure till 2020.

Her healer 12^th Harmonic is strong, as is her ‘obsessive dream’ 11H.

Meghan Markle is feeling the strain not just of pre-wedding nerves but also of Royal lifestyle restrictions, according to reports. Apart from public walkabouts, she’s fairly confined in Kensington Palace, unable to skip off to the gym or go shopping as she used to. A chat with Camilla is supposed to have calmed her down.

She will be feeling rather discouraged with tr Saturn square her Libra Moon, Saturn, Jupiter from late January till late this month, which will dent her enthusiasm. The late January Lunar Eclipse opposed her Leo Sun, which may have been when the reality of the changes she’s making in her lifestyle hit home. Tr Neptune is also this month opposing her Venus which can bring emotional disappointments.

Prince Harry has been given a new role with a Commonwealth youth initiative which will mean plenty of travelling in future which will help, especially to Africa where he feels most at home.

Meghan will feel increasing pressure through March with tr Uranus square her Sun/Mars midpoint. That may bring a few outbursts, since she’ll be on edge. From late March till late May tr Pluto will be opposing her Mars/Node midpoint which will make her feel hemmed in, frustrated and wary.

Her relationship chart with Prince Harry does look jangled through March and April as tr Uranus opposes the composite Pluto and then squares the composite Moon, so there will be fairly serious ups and downs. And he looks deflated May till late July with a panicky-failure tr Neptune square his Mars.

Her own childhood family tensions won’t be making things any easier. And it’s a huge change for her, giving up her career and relatively carefree life, for the golden cage of a Royal existence.

Florida is in shock after the Parkland shooting coming only 18 months after the Orlando nightclub rampage and Hurricane Irma last September. It’s been a devastating couple of years as first the tr Saturn in Sagittarius square Neptune in Pisces hit on the Florida Pisces Sun in 2016; with a ‘shocking-collision’ Solar Arc Mars square the Sun; then tr Neptune returned to conjunct the Florida Sun over Irma and is back for this teenage atrocity. Neptune has one more undermining and confusing conjunction in November/December this year before moving on.

This year as well sees tr Saturn square the Florida Uranus Jupiter from now, off and on till early December; which will be jolting and discouraging. There could be ructions in March with a hot-tempered tr Uranus trine Mars running, which also hits on the Trump/Florida relationship chart. That chart takes an even bigger dunt in July and onwards; worse in 2019. But there’s no real sign of a revolution on the streets.

Florida doesn’t have a chart that will budge easily with a do-or-die determined Mars trine Pluto and four Fixed planets. But there will be pressure for change starting in 2019 running through 2020. Jupiter in Sagittarius from November this year onwards through 2019 will help to lift spirits.
