  1. Both Epstein and Mandelson have a Saturn-Neptune conjunction in their charts.

Epstein had Neptune at 23 Libra 52 and Saturn at 27 Libra 4. Mandelson had Neptune at 23 Libra 47, Saturn at 29 Libra 53, with the Sun sandwiched inbetween at 28 Libra.

The current Sat-Nep conjunction is forming a quincunx with theirs.

So, two determined manipulative Sat-Nep people who ended up failures. Epstein ended in prison. Mandelson likely will end up in prison too.

  2. Have just had my second operation on my kidneys. One of them went well, but the other one has a massive stone embedded in in the stent, they were supposed to be removing. So the surgeons need rethink that one, before the next operation. My blood pressure shot up to 212/92 which they managed to bring down intravenously to 137 over something. I feel sore, my back aches and to top all this, I was told that when I was admitted last summer, evidently I had Sepsis in both kidneys. Which nobody told me at the time.

  3. Melinda Gates has been lauded in the news recently for the sound judgement she’s shown re: speaking out against Epstein and his enablers (incl her ex-husband). I’ve especially appreciated the comparisons between her cut-throat approach to Epstein against Sarah Ferguson’s more desperate coziness. Any insights…?

  4. Any overall Olympic vibes, dear Astrolger?

In particular, one freshly wounded American:

“I am confident that I can compete on Sunday,” Vonn said, referring to the downhill event on Feb. 8. “I will do everything in my power to be in that starting gate.”

    • Also reported:
Vonn wants to race in honour of her late mother, Lindy, who died in 2022 of Lou Gehrigs diseases and her childhood coach, Erich Sailer, who died in August aged 99.

She stopped to visit Sailer’s grave in Austria on her way to Cortina.

“It’s just so many reasons for her to not let go that they’re powering her along and keeping the adrenaline high,” coach Knight said.”You don’t want to slow down in these situations.”

  5. Wiki says Savannah Guthrie’s mother was born January 27, 1942 in Fort Wright, KY.
She’s been missing from Tucson, AZ for four days now. Any insights?

    • Maggie, to even start thinking in chart terms about a situation like Guthrie’s mother, you need an accurate birth time, as well as the time of disappearance, etc. Just the date and place of birth is not enough, though people do try. Some will run a horary chart, but the strict rules of horary say the chart has to be done on the request of a person who is directly involved or impacted by the event. For the rest of us, it is a curiosity question. Also, by now querants must have run dozens of horary charts, so another one is useless (according to the rules of horary). To us looky-loos it may be news, but charts are intimately tied to the people who need them, to whom they “belong”, not the general public. It’s a bit different for charts of “public figures” as to running their charts, but even they have a private side that the chart likely won’t reveal. If you look at a lot of famous people’s charts, you will note that they often contain an inscrutable area that is very hard to read or interpret. Personally, with a non-famous person, I would not waste my time. The universe would probably return a chart that says it’s none of my business, i.e. invalid chart.

      • I well understand that birth time is important, I also understand that a noon chart is drawn up when the time is not known. The houses are important as is the degree of the moon but one can still ascertain many things.

I’m interested because I live 20 mins away, my best friend’s elderly in-laws live a mile south. I know the area well after living here many years. There have been no answers from the police, no sign of a body, did she wander away, was dementia involved, did someone take her by force? Is there a madman on the loose in this very safe area? She has a natal Sun opposite Pluto that transit Pluto is beginning to afflict. Could suggest power struggles or maybe violence.

I’m not interested in asking horary questions.

If the general public shouldn’t be looking at charts to see what could be, then what is Marjorie’s website for?

        • Thanks for your further note and yes, noon charts can be helpful sometimes for general understanding but I very much doubt it would lead to finding a missing person on the strength of the chart alone, though it must be very distressful to have such an event happen in your own area. No doubt it is frightening.

However, a natal Sun opposite Pluto aspect happens every year to all kinds of people who may have trigger points in their charts that correspond to the planets’ degrees. People in smaller geographical areas do not usually suffer abductions or other drastic events as a result of that sort of aspect by itself. Even accurate natal aspects alone (especially without Ascendant and MC) are not enough to raise a fear that violence has occurred in a situation like this. Yes, it COULD happen, but other aspects would have to be relevant and in play (orb) before an astrologer would venture to say force is involved.

Marjorie can explain her own point of view as to the charts she selects to feature on her site, but in general, for privacy reasons, people in the charts on her site (and on similar sites elsewhere) are public or historic figures. Often their birth data is well known or the individuals have even volunteered their information to be published.

But being in the “news” does not make a person instantly a “public” figure and astrologers need to respect that. Publishing private data, especially accurate data, of a person in distress, who has not given permission to the astrologer, and is not ordinarily in the public eye is not considered ethical in astrology, even when a daughter is frantically searching for a missing mother. Searching is a job for the police and the people who are directly involved. The rest of us can wait, unless we directly volunteer in the search. Also the private information could potentially be misused as to targetting family, etc. in our cyber era. There may have been missing persons cases where astrology has helped, but I don’t know of any that have been publicized as to whether astrology helped or not. Perhaps Marjorie could shed some light on that?

          • Astrology by its nature can be invasive and my general rule of thumb for non-public figures is – if you don’t want to know don’t ask. Not that it will give you hard and fast concrete information but it can be disturbing for those whose worldview is barricaded against ‘other explanations.’
I normally avoid doing children or where health is a major issue.
For individuals who put themselves in the public and media spotlight I think comment comes with the territory. Liz Taylor who was a child star evidently never read anything about herself in magazines and elsewhere. Quite wise. The problem came more recently with Princess Diana and Sarah Ferguson who pored over every word published and presumably got upset when it did not please them.
Tricky area. But when there is publicity about a distressing case like Suzanne Guthrie’s mother it is natural to hope that astrology might help. I don’t do horary so I have no idea how accurate it can be in such cases. Even without a birth time you can glean a good deal from a chart via midpoints etc – but it won’t paint a picture or lay out a road map – more broad brrsh strokes.

  6. Intriguing astro-twins: Abraham Lincoln and Charles Darwin were both born on 12th Feb 1809. They both have a close Saturn-Neptune conjunction, Darwin’s was conj his ascendant, Lincoln’s was conj his MC.

I sort of understand what Lincoln’s Sat-Nep was about. Like Isabella of Castille (who also had a Sat-Nep conjunction) Lincoln’s project was the Reconquista of the Confederacy – dissolving a border someone else had put in place. Putin (also Sat-Nep conjunction) is trying to do a Reconquista of Ukraine.

But I don’t quite get Darwin – what barrier is he dissolving? Is it religion because Saturn-Neptune was in Sagittarius?

    • Lincoln’s and Isabella of Castile’s reconquistas were successful. Are you suggesting that Putin’s will be too?

Re Darwin’s barrier dissolution, perhaps it was dissolving of the barrier between humans and animals and seeing humans as merely highly evolved apes/animals rather than a wholly different form of being (like the differences between animals and plants, etc).

      • Not suggesting anything. The astrology is what it is. Putin has a Sat-Nep conjunction so he’s seeking to reconquer Ukraine and erase what he thinks is an artificial border put there in 1991.

Whether he is successful or not depends on other factors.

These Sat-Nep people are very determined though. It’s pretty much a dead cert he’s also eyeing the Baltic states and western Poland for similar reconquista reasons – they’re not being paranoid.

I’ll try to find an example of a Sat-Nep who failed, just to cheer everyone up.

P.S. If the upcoming Saturn-Neptune conjunction in Aries signifies military structures like NATO collapsing, then yes, Putin has a good chance of winning.

        • Candy, Saturn Neptune has little to do with Putin’s actions – it is more his ruthless Pluto trine Mars especially if his power hungry Pluto is in the 10th. Saturn Neptune can be deeply neurotic as well as imaginative and in some cases keep to make improvements for those less fortunate which obviously isn’t operating in Putin’s case. .

    • Saturn Neptune can be creative – that plus Darwin’s Uranus conjunct North Node trine Mercury and Pluto could well have resulted in the eureka moment which sent him towards new theories.

  7. It’s coming up to the 26th anniversary of the release of Nelson Mandela on 11th Feb 1990.

It’s a loose Saturn-Neptune event – Neptune at 13°29 Cap and Saturn at 20°26 Cap. There are an incredible six planets in Capricorn, including Venus at 21° 3 Cap. But no fire.

This is the day apartheid ended/dissolved. I wonder if psychologically this is when the new South Africa was born, rather than the official change in 1994 (much like the US was born on 14th July 1776, rather than when the war ended). Has South Africa’s problems in the last decade or so been down to tr Pluto passing over those Capricorn planets, and will things now change for them?

Can you take a look at the chart?

  8. part 2 on Gaiman-Palmer/Maxwell-3pstein. What I find most interesting, besides the dates (Gaiman’s apology/denial and 3pstein’s files today on Feb 2nd), is that both where powerful men with enabler partners who, allegedly, did the “scouting” for them. It’s an awful lot of similarities. I imagine the stars must have something to say, but I’m too much of a silly biscuit to realize.

  9. Marjorie, Neil Gaiman has come up with an Instagram apology today: TODAY, of all days, when people are focused so much on 3pst3in files.

Do you have any take on the whole “offensive” situation?

(Sorry for the really quick message

  10. Marjorie, Lord Peter Mandelson is in the news just now, his career and reputation in tatters. I’ve read that Neptune in the tenth can often be found in the charts of idealistic people who fall from grace. It made me wonder if he has such a prominent Neptune?

      • I was looking at Marjorie’s post about Peter Mandelson, 11 Sept 2025. She wrote:

“His relationship with Keir Starmer, has an over-hopeful composite Jupiter opposition Neptune being undercut by tr Pluto in hard aspect at the moment; with more discouragement to come in 2026.”

Of interest re the KS/PM composite Marjorie posted are the Nodes, 3 Scorpio/Taurus – with the tr Pluto and Mars in Aquarius conjunction right there last week. What a shake up that suggests.
The PM/Epstein Nodes are 5 Aquarius/Leo, where Pluto will be by March. 5 Aquarius happens to be Keir Starmer’s natal Saturn too. Some weird karma?
If the House of Commons chart works, then it has MC 4 Aquarius, Mercury 6, and Sun 8 Aquarius – so Pluto’s transit may indicate some potentially destructive/regenerating storms ahead. Today’s emails regarding sensitive financial and government matters, allegedly forwarded to Epstein by Mandelson, have disturbing implications on many levels.

        • Thanks for Marjorie’s 11 September 2025 post on Peter Mandelson, Jane, I hadn’t seen it. Very interesting to see his Libra Sun flanked by Saturn on one side and Neptune on the other. I suspected Neptune would be in the mix, and although this chart was set for noon, so the Sun with Neptune was in that house, but may not be there, if we had an accurate birth time, it still confirmed my suspicion that he must have Neptune strong as he seems to be so manipulative.

          • Yes, a time would be good! The other thing I’m wondering about is the row of planets in adjacent signs. So, Sun, Saturn and Neptune in Libra – then Mars 23 Virgo, Pluto 24 Leo, S Node 28 Cancer, Uranus 23 Cancer, Jupiter 26 Gemini. Like beads on a string….His 21 Scorpio Mercury squares Pluto and trines Uranus, sextile Mars which adds to discerning the way his mind might work? Pluto – wealth and secret information? I do associate Pluto as symbolising spies/secret services and even crime networks too.

        • Interesting about the early degrees of Aquarius and Scorpio cropping up, Jane. I see too how this affecting the BRF with all the problems with Andrew in light of the latest drop of files by the DOJ. The thing I just can’t get my head around is why on earth Starmer appointed PM as US Ambassador in the first place. His reputation as a slippery customer, nicknamed ‘The Dark Lord’ preceded him. Even I knew about Mandelson’s links to Epstein, indeed some years ago the Daily Mail published photos of him hobnobbing with the elite guests, including a blonde girl who looked about 15 on Epstein’s yacht. Given that Trump’s campaign had made promises to release the files, wouldn’t that come uncomfortably close to exposing Mandelson? Why did Starmer not anticipate that? British Intelligence must have known about the relationship. And who was advising Starmer in the run-up to the appointment? The whole thing raises questions about Starmer’s advisors as well as his questionable judgement.

          • Yes, agree VF. I remember all the hoo-haa at the time, and how Trump wasn’t keen at all on the appointment – possibly he’d been told about some of these files. The previous ambassador was doing a good job, not sure if she wanted to move or not?
British Intelligence will likely have warned Starmer, but I suppose he is free to ignore them if he chooses? Mandelson had been a key advisor in Starmer’s election campaign as far as I know. PM’s Capricorn/Cancer Nodes are just one degree off those for the House of Commons, 29 Capricorn/Cancer. Very connected or fateful?

There’s also the link between PM’s 27 Libra Sun and 29 Libra Saturn and the 27 Libra Sun and 29 Libra Venus for the Battle of Hastings, 14 October 1066! I’d been thinking about the forthcoming Bayeux Tapestry exhibition in the UK when I noticed the link. That pivotal battle led to a ‘new’ king, and a massive reshuffling of wealth and power in England. I can be whimsical, but perhaps that story has resonance for our RF in light of the unsavoury antics of AMW?!
Finally, I’m still convinced that the financial side of this endless scandal will prove to be devastating, should it all come to light.

      • Interesting that Epstein’s Mars and Venus were exactly conjunct the most recent Lunar eclipse. A final act of closure?
The royals have quiet a few mid point planets in Pisces. Prince Edward has Mars and Chiron at 15 degree Pisces.

  11. Full Moon good news from Texas: Judge Fred Biery has ruled that little Liam Ramos and his father have to be released from ICE custody. I think that the photo of this boy in a bunny ear cap has done more to radicalize “normie moms” in the US (and elsewhere) than anything else recently.

In addition, Democratic candidates have done unthinkable in deeply red US and Texas House district special elections: Christian Menefee who swinged the US House district comprising Fort Worth 39 point isn’t some centrist, either, but joins the votes for abolishing ICE. I think this is one of those instances where wealthy constituents might be slightly self serving: They rely on immigrants as the labor force. But genuine connections are built this way, too.

  12. Marjorie, what do you make of Governor Tim Walz’s chart in light of his declaration this week, “I will never run for an elected office again. Never again.”

Though currently under pressure in the spotlight, his total withdrawal from politics seems unexpected, a surprise.

He’s had a successful career (twice elected governor; selected as Kamala Harris’s VP candidate; elected six terms to serve in US Congress) and reportedly had considered a future presidential bid.

    • As much as I’d love to have a fellow progressive Lutheran running a country that’s not in the Nordics, I think Tim Walz’s is genuinely done with politics. His Aquarius Moon is currently hit by the Pluto, Aquarius Sun will get the next direct hits. I think that once released from Government duties, he will be a valuable voice.

My question would be about Andy Beshear. Many news outlets noticed Newsom in Davos, but Andy was there too, visiting Finland as well, since there are Finnish companies with operations in Kentucky.

      • “His Aquarius Moon is currently hit by the Pluto Sun”

Hi Solaia, agree that definitely could reflect major change/transformation/upheaval – if that is what’s happening in his chart now.

Too bad we don’t have an exact birth time to determine his Moon degree, which had a range of 25 Capricorn – 7 Aquarius on his birthday.

  13. Hi Marjorie,

Could you look at the chart of the United Nations for the rest of this decade to give us some light on its future. Several countries aren’t bothering to participate or fund it much (the US being the main one but there apparently are others) and it would be worthwhile knowing if the organisation has a future still. Thanks

    • Uranus Return AND Half-Pluto Return/tr Pluto opposition natal Pluto will be happening soon for almost all organisations and countries formed in the immediate aftermath of WWII.

That includes the UN, but also countries like India and Pakistan, Israel and the PRC, all nuclear armed countries.

  14. 30th January seems to be a date related to the violent deaths of many famous people, all unrelated to each other.

Today is the death anniversary of Charles I of England (1649), Mahatma Gandhi of India (1948) and the Mayerling Incident (1889), where Crown Prince Rudolf of Austria-Hungary and his mistress either committed suicide together or it may have been a murder-suicide. His death made Archduke Franz Ferdinand the heir to the Dual Monarchy, and his murder led to WWI.

Obviously the only thing in common among all of them is a pre-meditated violent death and the date, and thus the location of the Sun in the Zodiac.

Is there anything about the placement of the Sun that jumps out? Perhaps any aspect to the fixed stars?

I would particularly appreciate Hugh Fowler’s historical analysis of this topic.

  15. Independent journalist and former CNN anchor, Don Lemon, was arrested while covering the Grammy’s in LA by Trump’s henchmen and taken into federal custody. This world just keeps sprinting violently into the pit of hell with all these unhinged and emotionally unstable men in positions of power. I’m sick as a chip from all of it.

    • cj, don’t despair! Americans felt the exact same way we felt when the British Parliment, the red coats, and Mad King George the III tried using intimidation and violence to target dissenters. Now we have Mad King Trump and his army of red hat MAGA.
The only difference is that they don’t have the Atlantic Ocean as a border to protect them from consequences.
The tide is turning. And as America’s story is emphasized and celebrated this year, the need and desire to stop Trump and his minions will reflect the courage our ancestors showed 250 years ago.
Trump and the red hat MAGA aren’t winning. They are losing. And this country will wipe away all trace of their influence. It will take years, but unlike our ancestors, we actually have examples to look up to.

  16. Hi Marjorie,
There has been a lot of activity in UK with at least two petitions demanding a General Election (GE) now and today I read about a move to hold a national strike to demand a GE. People are clearly angry with the present situation. But, what are the planetary indicators that a GE might be called?
    Regards
    SueM

      • From a quick Google search, apparently the source is the Daily Star and the caller of the strike is stated as believing that “native Brits must always come first”. So one gets the drift of the kind of strike in mind.

@SueM, Marjorie has already done many articles on Starmer and the Labour Party’s near-term fortunes, which you can find from the search box in the top right corner of this site.

I don’t think there will be a parliamentary election in the near term, simply because the politics does not show it. While a narrow minority may want an immediate election (which is always the case, no matter what party is in power), I don’t think there is any political momentum to displace the government. We’d have to wait and see after the May elections what happens at that point in time.

  17. Marjorie, how about a look at the charts of Stephen Miller, and Susie Wiles. They seem to be the ones making White House decisions, and the powers behind trump who is too demented to run anything.

  18. Hi Marjorie,

I was wondering if you wouldn’t mind taking a look at Alexander Vindman. He is the retired United States Army lieutenant colonel who was the Director for European Affairs for the United States National Security Council and one of the whistleblowers and Trump impeachment witnesses who gained national attention. He just announced that he’s running for the U.S. Senate here in Florida. It’s making big news.

These days, I wouldn’t normally ask you to look into House and Senate elections. However, since Alexander Vindman gained national attention during the Trump impeachment, I am curious to know how the astrology looks for him.

Florida is under total Republican control now…so, I’m not sure if Vindman has much of a chance of winning or not. However, it will be an interesting Senate race to watch since he and Trump both live here.

I couldn’t find Alexander Vindman’s birth time but I do see that he was born on on June 6, 1975 in Kyiv, Ukraine.

Any information you would provide would be greatly appreciated. Please, please, please consider writing about this.

  19. Can you take a look at Associate Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito to see if it looks as if either one will retire this summer just in case the Dems win control of the Senate in November?

  20. I know this has been addressed but nerves compel me to ask again about any insights re Saturn and Pluto energies for international attacks on democracies, peoples voices being amplified?

Wondering about when there will be a return if any calm here in U.S., it’s been at least ten years of high anxiety, fear, violence and attacks on small d democracy.

    Thanks Marjorie!

  21. I wonder if you could give an astrological perspective of the events over the last week in China. Will it undermine Xi Jin Peng or consolidate his reign.

In addition his behaviour seems to parallel that of Mr Trump. Are there any astrological connections

  22. Unconventional astrology question.

How does the Chinese astrology system of the 12 animals and five elements tie in with the planets if at all?

My thought was that the 12 animals would tie in with the approximately 12 year cycle of Jupiter. Does it align better with Jupiter’s journey through the sidereal signs or the tropical signs? What would the five elements tie up with? And I also wonder about the role of the moon at the time of the start of each lunar year. Does the angle of Jupiter to the moon affect the astrology, etc?

    • I have an old, worn hardcover copy of Suzanne White’s book, The New Astrology.
She pairs up the Western and Chinese astrology signs…. Libra/Ox; Libra/Tiger, etc….
      For all the signs.

It’s an enjoyable read, particularly her take on the personalities. Pretty darn accurate!
She continues to include other categories like “Love”, “career”, etc…. which is a stretch.
She fesses up to be a Scorpio/Tiger and I thoroughly enjoy her choice of words…. incisive.

I’m a Cancer/Dog and it fits me to a tee!

      • At a much deeper level is the “stems and branches” Chinese astrology…. of which I know nothing but would love to dive into someday!!
Just the full name delights me…. The 10 Heavenly Stems and the 12 Earthly Branches

The 12 Earthly branches would be the zodiac animals.
The 10 Heavenly Stems is where it gets more complicated – the 5 elements in their Yin and Yang expressions.

there is always more, isn’t there? 🙂

    • The Chinese Zodiac signs does not align with the planet Jupiter. But can look up the concept of Tai Sui. Jupiter has been in Cancer for more than a year plus and the date Jupiter changes sign don’t align with the Chinese Lunar New Year.

  23. good morning from Canada, Marjorie.

As always, I love to see the choice of flower you post…..
this one might be a Hellebores?
One of my absolute favourite flowers.
    Or? 🙂
