The terrible high speed train collision in Spain yesterday evening was described as “extremely strange” by Spain’s Transport minister. This description struck me as very Neptunian and Uranian – inline with the current planetary alignment.
At the time of the accident, Neptune and Saturn were opposing the September Solar Eclipse.
Hi Marjorie,
Amidst all the doom and gloom in the news as of late, there’s a story out of the American South attracting attention. A group of 18 monks has begun a 2300mile “walk of peace” that started in Texas in October and will end in Washington, DC – all in an effort to raise awareness towards “peace, loving-kindness, and compassion”. Have you heard about this? I’m not sure if there’s a way to look at the astrology of their inspiring mission, but I know I could use some uplifting news 🙂 https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026/jan/17/buddhist-monks-walk-for-peace
It’s an amazingly inspiring story of taking saturnine responsibility & jupiterian hope to a world in crisis. It has already been extremely costly for one of the monks participating, because a truck ran into the group in November and one monk was injured so badly, his leg had to be amputated. This weeks Newscope on Neptune Cafe has featured this story using the date & time of departure. They are set to arrive in Washington DC on the 20th of February, if I understood it correctly on the auspiscious date of the Neptune & Saturn conjunction at 0 degrees Aries, underscoring the neptunian theme of sacrifice. There is a former stray dog walking with the group which is super touching.
Jane’s post about Jenrick and Princess Catherine being astro-twins was super interesting. Made me look again at Kate’s chart to see what I was missing until now.
Can you do a piece about Saturn-Pluto conjunctions? Jenrick and Kate have it. Turns out Queen Camilla has it too.
Kate has Leo rising. I wonder if Jenrick has either Taurus or Libra rising. (Before he went on Ozempic, he looked like a fat buddha, or maybe Winnie the Pooh – so a venus-ruled ascendant?) If he has Taurus rising, he has Aquarius on the MC, and tr Pluto is in that sign.
Trump announcing that he’s adding a 10% tariff on goods from EU, UK, Denmark etc until they let him have Greenland.
We’ve got a Capricorn New Moon tomorrow with Sun, Moon, Mercury and Mars clustered at 26-28 making an exact trine to Uranus in Taurus. And Jupiter in Cancer is widely opposite them at 19degs.
Two weeks ago, when he invaded Venezuela and snatched Maduro it was on the Cancer full moon at about 12degs-ish again in aspect to Jupiter and with a cluster of Capricorn planets (Sun, Mercury, Venus, Mars).
That echoed the 1989-1990 invasion of Panama when Manuel Noriega was captured when there was a Capricorn New Moon along with Mercury, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune opposite Jupiter in Cancer in the preceding days (28-29Dec 1989)
Uranus in Taurus is also going to square his natal 12th house Mars rising, come February. An already volatile, vengeful and unstable old man, I shudder to think what effect that square is going to have on him. I wish we could fast forward this time line.
Sorry, Uranus is stationary in February, while at the same time squaring his Mars.
Indeed – he’s going to act that out. From afar, it’s amazing how badly he has used his chart – unable to evolve to make it into something good. He really gives insight into what autocratic Leo looks like.
Yes please lets fast forward this timeline *sigh* I was always fascinated by the North Node, Mars, Uranus conjunction and cannot believe how one can misuse this & be stuck in the lowest possible octave of this stellium … unbearable.
Hi Marjorie
Did you cover ICE before? I did a search but nothing came up. They certainly getting out of control since the shooting to include a report that an agent maced a 6 month old. When will the American public come out more strongly in numbers not imagined against them. As they cross too many lines is it only a matter of time? Is it in the astrology?
Minneapolis shooting – twisting the truth

Thanks Marjorie
Marjorie,
I know I have nothing to ad astrologically, I am still learning.
But please can you tell us more about this disgusting treatment of us, the USA citizens
we are very afraid of this government.
we are scared here.
I am not sure how you would do this astrologically, but is the UK actually going to commit troops to Ukraine or support Greenland? I ask because it was kind of embarrassing when the other countries offering support to Greenland actually came with troops. We sent one officer.
There is talk of conscription. But no actual movement towards it. There is also talk that the British Army, Royal Navy and the Royal Air Force will all be doing massive recruitment drives next year. It looks to me as though Starmer is too afraid of offending Trump if he does anything either in Ukraine or Greenland. At the very least, he could offer medical support as we have an awful lot of surgeons and doctors who haven’t been taken on by the NHS after completing their residencies. Those jobs have been given to foreign doctors.
The Netherlands is also only sending two military personnel to do ‘reconnaissance work’. Although in a different context the Dutch navy has been patrolling the seas around Greenland monitoring Russian sub activity and to deter undersea cable sabotage, etc. That operation has now been taken over by Spain for the coming months. So there is more going on than appears in the media. This latest effort of sending ground personnel is essentially just for show – to send a signal to Washington that NATO will defend Greenland if needs be. I do wonder however, where this is heading.
Regarding conscription: I notice that most Nato countries are stepping up their efforts to find more recruits. In the Netherlands by offering one day a week paid reservist training and work to students! Youth unemployment is rising and they are hoping this will also help to attract more young people without the need for conscription.
Thanks Susan. Starmer as well as saying that 18 to 25 year olds will be conscripted has also said that veterans aged 50 to 60s will be conscripted as well. There were a lot of complaints from those in their 60s who aren’t as mobile or as well as they need to be, in the comments of The Telegraph.
A complete mystery, why demographics banging the conscription/national service drum most years (yet exempted from it in the past) are annoyed when notionally asked to join the youth to help out for the greater good of the country. One might think they’d want to do everything they could to protect future generations from harm, like their parents and grandparents once did.
It is mostly because our government has allowed our former soldiers, all very old men: to be hung out to dry over alleged atrocities in Northern Ireland. And although they have won these cases, it has caused a lot of anger with the veterans, who feel betrayed. And there is no sign of any of it stopping. I don’t want to get into the rights ir wrongs of the thing. I am just explaining why those in their 50s and 60s are less inclined to want to be conscripted.
A good world event — for once! — is the “Heated Rivalry” cultural phenomenon. Who would have thought that a series about the relationships between two sets of gay hockey players would have sparked so much interest and appreciation across all genders? Marjorie, in such dark times as these, I would be fascinated if you could look at the astrology around this story. Why now? Because expressions of love are so badly needed in a time of huge conflict? Wesley Morris, a culture critic with the New York Times, hints at this in his analysis: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xzqFMZu-dvU. Not accidentally, the novels by Rachel Reid on which the series is based belong to the “Romance” literary genre.
Thanks for the you-tube link Cathy! I am definitely watching this asap. I live in the EU so the streaming options are not great, I just checked. In this era of Culture Wars, I am really really glad this even exists.
While looking for illumination re today’s UK political upset – the ‘defection’ of Robert Jenrick MP from the Conservatives to Reform – I saw Marjorie’s 2020 post about him. Of interest since it turns out he is the astro-twin of Catherine, Princess of Wales. They are both Lunar Eclipse individuals, born on a 19 Cancer eclipse on 9th January 1982. Tr Venus and Mars in Capricorn opposing Jupiter in Cancer this week around their natal Sun may signal something in their mutual Solar Returns?

I would be very interested in an astrological look at Jenrick and his relationship with Farage and other key personalities in the Reform camp.
Thanks Jane, I had forgotten about that. Odd pairing since here was always a sniff of something off about him while she always feels straight up the middle of the road.
His relationship with Farage is riddled with sinkholes. An intense, power struggling Pluto opposition Venus square Mars – between 4 and 7 degrees Cardinal – so being undermined from late this March onwards – with tr Uranus square the composite Sun from mid May. Will return to this later no doubt with fuller look at the other Tory defectees as well.
Thanks Marjorie. Yes they do seem a curious pair of astro-twins. He seems to be a bit slick and shiny – but then I thought that about Tony Blair’s persona too! Jenrick is notably well presented, as is the Princess of Wales. He has a very successful wife and three children, and appears to be a devoted family man – so perhaps that’s another similarity? Shades of the Cancer Moon? Also I’d wondered about that Moon, and that birthday’s Lunar Eclipse connecting with the UK 1801 Cancer Moon, the British public, and a strong sense of homes personal and collective? Kemi Badenoch is another Capricorn with a Cancer Moon.
Anyway, the chaos whirls, and it is only mid January with a month to go to that Aquarian Solar Eclipse…..and the Lunar year of the Fire Horse in Chinese astrology. Seems appropriate!
I’d be interested in this as well. There something very off about Jenrick, but I cannot quite determine what it is. The Tories are toast and of course it’s partly Jenrick’s fault; I feel the Jenrick addition will begin Reform’s decline (no Astrology here, just intuition). If I may put it like this: the seeming dustiness of Jenrick’s aura reminds me of the inside of a well used vacuum cleaner dust collection bag! He brings his personal pollution with him wherever he goes.
Shot himself in the foot. I wonder where his Chiron is?
A delightfully acerbic piece by Matthew Parris in today’s Times.
‘Shedding rabble to Reform gives Conservative leader a chance to fill a gaping hole at the centre of British politics.’
‘Hopefully a few more right-wing malcontents will quit the Tories to join Reform.’
‘Badenoch has long wanted to be rid of Jenrick and — lo! — he gave her the perfect excuse to give him a push. ‘
‘Between leftish ninnies like Keir Starmer and Rachel Reeves and “right-wing” clowns like Farage and his new ex-Tory best friends yawns a huge hole at the centre of British politics. It’s where tens of millions of us sit: homeless, worried, ready — even eager — to respond to a unifying message from a sensible centre-right party.’
‘And we have the Liberal Democrats. Perhaps you’d forgotten them? Seventy-two — yes, 72 — MPs and absolutely no impact.’ https://www.thetimes.com/comment/columnists/article/kemi-badenoch-must-seize-one-nation-opportunity-rv6mqqxsx
Ha! Matthew Parris certainly has a way with words. An accurate overview I think, even if it does highlight the dearth of impressive, sensible politicians of any party.
Hi Marjorie,
Making a late entry here…. The 2300 mile Buddhist Monk “Walk for Peace” in the US (starting in Texas) will reach it’s conclusion in Washington DC around Feb 11-12, just prior to the Saturn/Neptune conjunction at 0 degree Aries. The monks and their message have attracted thousands of US citizens that walk with them, offer food/water, and cheer them on. Do you have any thoughts or insights you could share about how this very visible message of peace will or won’t impact the current mess in DC? Thank you, from a Seattle follower.
This Walk for Peace is such a breath of fresh air and inspiration. Newscope, Neptune Cafe has featured it this week.
Trump headline manipulation de jour: Venezuela/Mamdani/ICE mash up whereby an authorized Venezuelan NYC Council employee is detained and threatened with deportation 9 months before their employment visa expires.
Location location location: the NYC employee was set up at a routine review in Nassau County, Long Island, which is run by County Executive Bruce Blakeman, the Republican who is opposing NYS Gov Hochul for her seat.
Hi Marjorie,
Diane Munday, a leading campaigner for the Abortion Act, and co-founder of the British Pregnancy Advisory Service has just passed. D.o.b. 4 March 1931, does her chart indicate her as a trailblazer in this area?
That 1931 generation were trailblazers, though not all in the direction of promoting good. Her revolutionary Uranus conjunct the independent-minded Aries North Node was square a pushily confident Pluto Jupiter opposition Saturn. Her Sun was Pisces opposition Neptune. She was born a week before Rupert Murdoch with the same outer planet get-up-and-go aspects though his Pisces Sun was later degree and not opposition his Neptune.
Thanks for looking at her Marjorie. It’s interesting to think about what astro combo produces a generation of trailblazers. The Uranus / NN, Pluto/Jupiter and Saturn combo sounds formidable which you need to be in this area. I’m off to see when we had, or next have, Uranus and NN conjunct in Aries…
Actress Jessie Buckley appears to be extraordinarily talented as an actor and singer. She has the ability to full inhabit each of the roles she takes on, but also comes over as quite grounded. I wondered how her chart may reflect this and also what it may indicate for her career. She seems likely to be one of the greats.
Hi. Would you please consider relocating Thiel and his protège, JD Vance, to Greenland? Thiel’s org allegedly put out a position paper re control of Greenland (to be a tech to controlled techno state) as well as also controlling Cuba, Nigeria and Honduras. TY.
JD Vance’s astrocartography does not suggest Greenland is much of anything for him. Thiel has no birth time.
Below salient thoughts on Greenland from the FT. Another Trump delusion.
On Greenland:
The challenges involved in any extraction of rare minerals are formidable, perhaps prohibitive. “It’s not a short-term project. It requires many years of preparation, investment and infrastructure before there would be any profit or revenues or supplies coming to the US.”
“The whole mining industry agrees that the Greenland promise is absolutely overrated. Nobody understands why anyone is putting money into this.”
There are massive logistical difficulties – lack of roads and other infrastructure. Everything would have to be brought in by helicopter, which can be far from straightforward given Greenland’s frequently rough and freezing weather.
Even if the ore can be extracted, the rare earths must be separated from the uranium, the eudialyte and other contaminants. That is a costly and fiddly chemical process that can encompass more than 200 steps. Apart from isolated pockets of expertise, such as in France and Estonia, knowledge of these processes has all but died out in the West.
Thank you. Much appreciated. Perhaps for Trump then-the goal is to give shipping lanes to Russia or…to destroy NATO since NATO probably won’t respond to an invasion in Greenland. Maybe a case can be made that NATO died in 2014 with the annexation of Crimea…
All NATO countries are obliged to come to the defence of a NATO country being attacked. Even if it is the USA doing the attacking. Greenland is oart of the Kingdom of Denmark. It would be the same if a NATO country invaded one of our Chsnnel Islands. They may be closer to France, but they are still British.
Maybe look at Bob Weir co-founder of Grateful Dead. Born in San Francisco, California, on October 16, 1947. Musical influence was huge. Thank you.
Sorry, i forgot to add Dr. Laura was born in Brooklyn, New York.
