  1. Comedian Sarah Millican is touring the U.S., and I’ll be seeing her next month. Would enjoy your take on her chart, if possible. Thanks, Marjorie!

  2. Hi Marjorie, Could you have a look at Zack Polanski, the new leader of the Greens, if possible? He seems to be quite a dynamic character Thank you.

  3. It’s likely a little too early for a post on this but the latest adaptation of Wuthering Heights seems to be working people into a whip with early screenings suggesting it is fairly sexually explicit, shocking etc and the casting has been criticised. Preview posters have been released this week, but the film itself isn’t on wide release until Valentine’s Day 2026. Director Emerald Fennell has been successful with various things previously but is an acquired taste. Would be nice to hear your take at some point. I had a brief look at Bronte’s and Fennell’s chart and one thing that stood out to me was that they share Venus and Mars in Virgo at an almost identical 11/12 degrees (Bronte), 11/13 degrees (Fennell).

    • Just found the trailer …I Am Jacob Elordi !?! Why not – if he has the guts to step onto Olivier’s marks…would be fun to find out how much Emerald is Emily, etc.

  4. Can you look at the astrology of Black Wednesday (16th Sept 1992).

In June 1992, Mitterand announced he was going to hold a referendum on euro. The markets started to get so agitated, that the Chair of the Bundesbank told the Wall Street Journal on 15th Sept ’92 that “a more comprehensive realignment of currencies” was required. The next day all of them got attacked. The pound and lira suspended membership of the ERM.

The French then voted on 20th Sept 1992, with yes winning by 51% to 49%. It’s rumoured the overseas territories had their ballot boxes stuffed. Despite the yes vote, the franc continued to be attacked till the ERM rules were relaxed in 1993.

It’s Sept again, the 23rd anniversary of Black Wednesday and the euro referendum, and events in France might again trigger some more euro mayhem.

  5. Hi Marjorie,

Would you mind looking into this submit that’s taking place between China and India? According to BBC and Reuters, both nations are looking to improve their historically contentious relations and lead the way for an alignment that can counteract U.S. and European hegemony.

The Russian Federation, North Korea, and Türkiye are also supposed to be attending.

  6. I thought I would just mention, that your site is sluggishly slow today. And as it is the only one I have had problems with, that I would let you know. I don’t normally have that problem.

I have been reading up on Zoroastrianism and that Persia was named for Perseus and his son Perses who ruled Persia. Their mythology differs slightly from the Greek version like Heracles was considered a great, great grandson of Perseus, whereas in in Greece, he had a different descent.

Anyway, I wondered how much Zoroastrianism has influenced astrology. And for those that don’t know Zoroastrians worshipped Mithra, who was for all intents and purposes Persius. But in some instances it is represented by Perseus and Apollo.

      • Chris as Perseus has his own constellation, I presume that the Zoroastrians influenced it. I just don’t know how or if they took their cue from the Greeks.

    • I have a couple of extended family members who are Zoroastrians. They want to clarify a minor point.

Zoroastrians (at least the modern ones) do not worship Mithra. He is in their list of angels, but is not worshiped as God (or a god).

In modern Zoroastrianism, he is seen as the angel of sunlight (the angel of the Sun itself is a separate/different angel), one who cleanses (sunshine is the best disinfectant, etc) and also one of the three judges of souls in the after-life.

      • I don’t know anything about modern Zoroastrianism other than that Freddy Mercury and his family were Zoroastrians. And I can’t be sure if that was true or not.

But thank you for your family’s information, I appreciate it. The articles that I have read seem to think of him as a god. But there were different sects around and obviously like Christianity interpret things differently. Or at least the writers of these articles did. Anyway thanks again!

  7. Hi Marjorie

Would it be possible for you to have another look at Chiron in a general sense. I keep reading it as being the unhealable wound. This makes me wonder how to deal with it in the natal chart as if it’s something that cannot be healed then what good will any inner work do? Difficult to know how to manage it.

    Thanks

    • I totally agree with these questions! I have the same ones. Over time, I tell myself that at birth it is the wound, our flaw, then in transit throughout our life, it comes to heal us where we are in pain.

    • Good shout. I view Chiron as an achillies heel. A critical flaw you have to learn to live with and accept, via ongoing work and effort. Karma perhaps.

    • I’m not Marjorie, and am interested in what she has to say too, but I’ll share my understanding in case it helps a bit.

Chiron is often described as the “unhealable wound,” but it’s more helpful to see it as the place where our deepest pain can open the way to our deepest sense of purpose. Many people discover their life direction or calling not in spite of pain, but through it. This is why some astrologers call Chiron the “rainbow bridge,” connecting the personal limits of Saturn with the liberating vision of Uranus. Its unusual orbit between those two planets mirrors that bridging role.

Can you think of a painful experience that gave you a sense of purpose to want to bring a change? Studies have found that purpose is associated with better sleep, stronger immune function, and even lower risk of cardiovascular disease and cognitive decline. It seems to have an effect on resilience.

For some, Chiron shows where healing may never feel fully complete in the personal sense – but it is precisely that scar, that ongoing tenderness, that equips them to guide, teach, or inspire others. In turn this brings healing and resilience (which neatly fits the modern biopsychosocial model quite well).

Some even propose Chiron as a modern ruler of Virgo, linking it to service, wholeness, and the transformation of suffering into meaningful work. So inner work with Chiron isn’t wasted effort, it’s the process that transforms pain into purpose, which is quite powerful.

      • I really like that interpretation. As a Chiron person it is most accurate.

Rumi’s famous quote: ‘The wound is the place where the light enters’ really encapsulates the higher purpose of Chiron.

        • Yes, I really like Tara’s interpretation too. Chiron is such an enigma, named for a hybrid centaur, and not just a healer, but a wise and famous teacher in the myths. Our response to challenging experiences or ‘wounds’ do often seem to spark learning and development. I’ve often viewed Chiron as a catalyst.
Since Chiron was named for a mythical hybrid, it’s curious that it is also some kind of hybrid in astronomy as well – part asteroid, part comet:

“Chiron is a small icy body in the outer Solar System, orbiting the Sun between Saturn and Uranus. It was discovered in 1977 by Charles Kowal from images taken at Palomar Observatory, in California, US. It was the first-identified member of a new class of objects now known as centaurs – bodies orbiting between the asteroid belt and the Kuiper belt. Originally, scientists thought it was an asteroid and gave it the designation 2060 Chiron. In 1989 astronomers detected a fuzzy luminous cloud of gas and dust around Chiron when it gets closer to the Sun. Such a cloud is called a coma, and is a distinguishing feature of comets. This behaviour led to its classification as both an asteroid and a comet. In cometary terms, it’s also named 95P/Chiron.” Orbitaltoday.com

          • Thanks Jane, the hybrid aspect of Chiron is another facet of the planet’s meaning. My mother had Chiron conjunct North Node in Taurus in her 9th – she was a physiotherapist. She passed yesterday, following a very painful and distressing weekend and just as transit Jupiter joined her Pluto in Cancer and the Sun was on her ascendant in Virgo – she died from an intestinal blockage. She introduced me to astrology – a Chironic subject.

          • Dear Virgoflake, sending you my condolences, love and light. Wishing your Mum a safe journey with Jupiter in Cancer. J

        • Condolences VF… I enjoyed hearing about your mother’s varied skills and talents (was water divining one of them – apologies if I misremembered.) I hope you will find peace soon.

      • Tara I think you’ve hit the nail on the head: “Chiron shows where healing may never feel fully complete in the personal sense – but it is precisely that scar, that ongoing tenderness, that equips them to guide, teach, or inspire others. In turn this brings healing and resilience”.
I’ve often viewed chiron in a sad way (healing others but not yourself) but by helping others, you evolve.
I learn so much from this site. Thank you Marjorie & co.

  8. I’d be interested in learning more about progressed planets. In particular, when a planet in your chart progresses to another sign, would you start to take on the personality traits of that sign?

  9. In September, we have:

    – right from tomorrow Saturn leaves Aries
    – 2nd: Mercury goes to Virgo
    – Uranus goes retrograde (1° Gemini 27’)
    – 7th: Full Moon / lunar eclipse (15° Pisces 22’ / 24’)
    – 18th: Mercury goes to Libra
    – 19th Venus enters Virgo
    – 21st: solar eclipse / New Moon (28° Virgo 59’ / 29° Virgo 4’)
    – 22nd: Mars enters Scorpio, Sun enters Libra (autumnal equinox).

    • @Joan, thanks for this! I think that with or without the rumors, she always had a very interesting chart. This confirms Scorpio rather than Sagittarius Moon and and Axis that seem really fitting. I think the chart makes a lot of sense

    • Would love to see Abbe Lowell’s chart (her attorney), seeing as he has represented so many across the political divide usually very successfully.

  10. One thing thar has come up recently is the effect Trumps wife Melania is having on him. This was played on by Zielinski at their last meeting, when he produced a letter for her from his wife. Is there any astrological significance and also with resonance with Jill Biden etc
Does it throw light on the Trump astrological enigma?

  11. Just wanted to share this article from The Guardian about how Netflix are making “algorithm movies” to appeal to everybody. Full of exposition and generic writing etc, etc. How the algorithm is killing creativity (Leo) and so on. It all seems a perfect primer for what we can expect from entertainment in the Pluto in Aqua period.

    • Thanks GD. Your post sent me on a journey! I thought about Prospero in The Tempest, a figure that seems to symbolise the magical illusions of Neptune, the powers of Pluto, the disruptive sorcery of Uranus and so on. I imagined the tech bros as quasi magicians, too. But what has their magic brought to life? Are they also Mickey Mouse as the Sorceror’s Apprentice in Fantasia? Pluto in Aquarius may bring rebellion against all this too. Pluto has buried treasures too. I thought, as well, about how the Church of England was ‘born’ amidst the violence and chaos of the Dissolution of the Monasteries (and Nunneries) with Pluto in Aquarius.

Shakespeare’s career begins with the first play at the Globe in September, 1599. That year has Pluto in Aries trine Neptune in Leo. Earlier in the year Uranus in Aries is close to Pluto too. Nodes in Aquarius/Leo applaud from the sidelines. The play was Julius Caesar. The Tempest is said to be Shakespeare’s final play. I feel there’s much to relate to for us today in that play. So here’s Prospero, ending his long career as a magician:

“Ye elves of hills, brooks, standing lakes and groves,
And ye that on the sands with printless foot
Do chase the ebbing Neptune and do fly him
When he comes back; you demi-puppets that
By moonshine do the green sour ringlets make,
Whereof the ewe not bites, and you whose pastime
Is to make midnight mushrooms, that rejoice
To hear the solemn curfew; by whose aid,
Weak masters though ye be, I have bedimm’d
The noontide sun, call’d forth the mutinous winds,
And ‘twixt the green sea and the azured vault
Set roaring war: to the dread rattling thunder
Have I given fire and rifted Jove’s stout oak
With his own bolt; the strong-based promontory
Have I made shake and by the spurs pluck’d up
The pine and cedar: graves at my command
Have waked their sleepers, oped, and let ‘em forth
By my so potent art. But this rough magic
I here abjure, and, when I have required
Some heavenly music, which even now I do,
To work mine end upon their senses that
This airy charm is for, I’ll break my staff,
Bury it certain fathoms in the earth,
And deeper than did ever plummet sound
      I’ll drown my book.”
      ― William Shakespeare, The Tempest

  12. Hi Majorie,

could you look at Dr. Phil. I love Oprah but she seems to have plattformed some dubious people, Dr. Phil, Dr. Oz, Televangelist style figures. Curious about his getting himself embedded in ICE raids, seems to be seeking out the limelight again, since his show lost it’s massive audience (with Oprah’s assist).

    • “it’s not as clear cut as Donald thinks it is…” ~ Phil McGraw on the homeless crisis

No doubt he would have an interesting chart. Recently caught his new programming – thanks Insomnia! -surprised to hear he had been homeless as a teenager.

  13. Marjorie,
Would you please take a look at Minneapolis, MN? That city has so much news happening. For very different reasons the city sure has been in the public’s’ attention in the last five years.
    Thank you

  14. Hello. Would you please look at avante-garde artist, Niki de St. Phalle? She became famous after shooting paint at art installations. She also co-designed the sculpture outside the Pompidou. She’s having a moment with an exhibit both in Aix and in Paris. Her father molested her and she had a fraught relationship with her mother. She called the summer when her father molested her as a “summer of snakes.” She then sculpted snakes and monsters. Curious to see how creativity helped her to heal. 5th house prominence? Thank you.

  15. Marjorie – could you take a look at France please – Radio 4 mentioned that they have an economic crisis looming and will have to undertake austerity measures. Will this impact the EU and the UK ?

    • Hi Debbie – you might like to look at Marjorie’s post 5 December 2024:

“The EU 31 December 1957 chart has a deadlocked Solar Arc Pluto opposition its 8th house economic Moon and square its Uranus later in 2025. With an upending, disruptive tr Uranus square Pluto in 2026/27. Though the catastrophic perhaps terminal problems come later this decade as tr Pluto squares the EU Moon and opposes the Pluto. This is when the 2004 enlargement countries of Czechia, Estonia, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Hungary, Malta, Poland, Slovenia and Slovakia may consider a breakaway as their entry chart also has a 10 degree Taurus Sun.”

And worth noting, too, that this September’s Solar Eclipse in Virgo falls on France’s ‘birthday’, 21 September 1792. It’s an awkward eclipse, right on the French Sun. It might also be relevant that the Treaty of Rome, 1957, has Venus (money?) at 29 Pisces, with the Eclipse opposing it, while tr Saturn and Neptune are conjunct? Bit of a shake-up approaches?
