American round up – Rubio, Vance and Carney

Cometh the moment, cometh the man. What did we ever do to deserve this? The toddler tyrant flailing in all directions, setting off bushfires without thought of the consequences, used as a patsy by Netanyahu and others, but amped up with his own delusional sense of invincibility.

After the Donaldonian apocalypse, what next? Secretary of State Marco Rubio, stepping up in this Middle Eastern fiasco, is unlikely to find it a launching pad for the 2028 election. 28 May 1971 Miami Florida. Across the 2028 election and Inauguration, transiting Neptune looms large denting his confidence, assertiveness and hopes for glory, hitting three key midpoints. Before then he’ll be rattled badly this April with tr Uranus starting to oppose his Jupiter and then Neptune hinting at losses, deflating confidence and even scandals – and that continues on with tr Uranus across several midpoints and ultimately in a jolting conjunction to his Gemini Sun right through till early 2028. He’ll have a few strokes of luck along the way but many more negatives.

This year he’ll find his relationship with Trump undergoing a major upset with tr Uranus square the composite Pluto from mid June onwards; with August to the year end mired in confusion and discouragement.

J.D. Vance, 2 August 1984 8.11 am Middletown, Ohio, has his Solar Arc Pluto conjunct his Uranus now hinting at a radical change which may partly be his ideological separation from Trump over foreign war-mongering. The midpoints in his relationship chart with Trump have been looking fraught in the extreme over the time that Saturn Neptune moved away from Pisces into Aries this recent January onwards. Tr Uranus joins in now till late April to produce more heat and chill between them. His confidence will deflate and his lucky streak will not be in evidence from late this May to February 2028 with tr Neptune square his Jupiter. 2027 looks like a swamp of uncertainty for him and there is nothing noteworthy ticking any boxes across the election. From late March 2029 after the Inauguration he’s in for a punishing two years with tr Pluto opposition his Sun and square his Saturn.

Mark Carney, Canadian PM, having delivered an electrifying speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos pointing to the damage Trump was doing in upending the rules-based world order was treated to the usual Trump childish contempt in response, referring to him as the “future Governor of Canada” after he annexes the country.

In response Carney has circled the world twice, seeking to forge relationships with countries that will make Canada less dependent on the United States, even those with questionable human rights.

Mark Carney, 16 March 1965, 7.56am Fort Smith, NT Canada Ottawa, has his powerhouse, never-say-die Mars Pluto in Virgo square Trump’s 10th house wayward, erratic Uranus for a major clash of temperaments. Carney’s Neptune is also square Trump’s Mars/Pluto midpoint so he will be adept at using evasive tactics to counter Trump’s bully-boy approach.

Carney’s Jupiter and Ascendant fall on Trump’s Midheaven which might suggest a successful business partnership but in this instance points rather to Carney’s Jupiter attempting to inculcate a sense of responsibility and ethic in Trump’s his social and political dealings. And Carney’s image getting a boost from the car-crash trajectory of Trump’s direction/career.

Their antipathy will run on, increasing in aggravation through this year and on. Canada won’t recover from this onslaught in terms of their attitude to all matters USA until into the next decade.

  1. A comment about the Nov. 7, 2028 US election: has anybody noticed that on on that date, transiting Saturn at 7 Taurus 14′ Rx will exactly square Joe Biden’s natal Pluto at 7 Leo 14′ Rx?

In fact, other election day points also focus like a set of ‘rays’ upon Biden’s Pluto (a la Liberty’s crown?): transiting Pluto at 6 Aquarius 30′ from the 2nd house will oppose Bidens’s Pluto in Leo, transiting Neptune at 6 Aries 31 Rx will trine his Pluto from his 4th, and transiting Mercury at 8 Scorpio 01 from his 11th will square his Pluto, which in turn is opposed by the above Saturn in Taurus. The transits form a grand square to Joe’s Pluto at the apex, with the Neptune trine on the side. Quite an array and I’d like to think it is a hopeful one in some way. At least it implies an ‘alternate’ power center on the election day.

Also transiting Uranus at 13 Gemini 16 Rx from his 7th will inconjunct Biden’s natal Mars at 12 Scorpio 35′ in his 11th house (Joe’s natal Mars is trine US natal Sun at 13 Cancer). Finally, the transiting Midheaven at 29 Leo 26′ will conjunct Trump’s 29 Leo Ascendant at noon and at the same time it squares Biden’s Sun/Venus duo at 27/28 Scorpio above his Ascendant. Might this be an election day contest with Biden’s part coming from behind the scenes, since at noon the Sun at 15+ Scorpio is traversing Biden’s 12th house of institutional and clandestine influence.

All that seems quite remarkable when there are so many significant contact points. Here is hoping Biden will still be alive and well then, but in any event it appears he may have more than the usual influence (Pluto) over the election outcome. Biden, at least, seems to be a sane man, even in advanced old age.

  2. @RC, Jane & Gnarly–it’s taken me 10 years of internal struggle, but I’ve finally accepted the “fated” nature of Trump’s rise. He’s pretty much the personification of all of America’s worst aspects and impulses, and, I suppose, the mechanism for all the country’s chickens coming home to roost, all at once. May what remains after the cataclysm be worth the pain.

I have Canadian relatives, but not in close enough degree to emigrate based on family relationship. I’ve moved past envying them and am congratulating myself on my new posture of grim acceptance.

Re Carney: “Carney’s Jupiter attempting to inculcate a sense of responsibility and ethic in Trump’s … social and political dealings”–Carney’s a brilliant man, but this is a fool’s errand.

If it hasn’t been done already, I would be interested in what the astrology said, after the fact, about manipulation of the 2024 election; to wit, will we eventually learn conclusively that the election was, indeed, stolen?

There’s significant evidence that machine voting in the swing states was buggered just enough to nudge the vote Trump’s way, thus tipping the Electoral College (see the statistical analyses at electiontruthalliance.org, as well as examinations of the recent Canadian federal elections there).

And, of course, Trump blabbed about this himself (as he always does) when he credited Elon Musk’s knowledge “of all those vote-counting computers” as the source of his critical success in Pennsylvania and elsewhere on Election Day.

Elon himself claimed that “without me, Trump would have lost.”

I know it’s done and dusted, but it would still be a relief to know.

    • Nice one Jane. Isn’t that kind of cute. Was just thinking a couple of days ago about how the end of Pluto in Sag essentially killed off our local newspaper in 2008-09. Used to be full of local stories and job adverts and people proud of their family announcements. The change mainly due to a combo of belt tightening by companies after the GFC and social media taking over for telling people your own news.

      • Hello Jane and Gnarly Dude – it’s the ‘other’ Jane here in the UK. What a popular name Jane is!

The Fort Smith chart for Mark Carney gives a 25 Taurus Asc, MC 14 Capricorn, and Moon 14 Virgo (astro.com) – so he’s just had that Virgo Lunar Eclipse close to the Moon, and his Virgo stellium of Uranus, Pluto and Mars. If tr Mars in Pisces activates the Eclipse, it’s there this week, opposing his Virgo stellium. Lots of energy around and maybe changeable circumstances for him (or his wife?).

Re local newspapers, I agree GD. They were important though, sometimes bringing all manner of things to light, locally, that hadn’t surfaced in the national press. There’s a tribal/community element somewhere too – which isn’t quite the same online. Pluto in Aquarius and Uranus in Gemini could signal further changes to the local news sphere?

  3. “ Cometh the moment, cometh the man” – following mundane astrological analyses and predictions such as yours and some of others has definitely made me believe in that truism.

My sense now is that, for instance, Harris could have had great aspects and Trump not, but the inauguration chart called more for a despotic leader like him. He was ‘meant’ to take on the role (whether to herald a decline and/ or fundamental changes).

In astrology as in the universe (as I learned long ago about physics), there isn’t necessarily a cause and effect, but rather forces that together create a particular expected state.

    • Exactly. I was gutted for about two days after Trump was elected, but thay morphed into acceptance when I thought about that chart for the Inauguration. Talk about being written in the stars. I’ve always felt, since 2016, that having someone like Trump was a fated event and that he was here to serve a purpose. He stresses me out to no end and I can’t even bear to hear the sound of his voice. But based on Marjorie’s work and so many of the mundane astrology podcasts I’ve listened to, this all feels like something we need to get through to come out as a “better” country (and world???) whatever that may be.

      • Indeed. When you can step back and look objectively, you see how Trump is USA’s Pluto return uncovering the dark underside of the country. And also the sudden upset to the world order required for the Pluto in Aquarius era to take over from the Pluto in Capricorn “top of the mountain” mentality

        • I agree Trump’s terms in office are somehow ‘fated’. There’s an interesting link between Trump’s 22 Gemini Sun, 20 Gemini Nodes, 17 Gemini Uranus opposing 21 Moon in Sagittarius, and the Mars 20 Gemini square Neptune 22 Virgo aspect in the USA’s July 4th natal chart. In November 2024 tr Jupiter (king, president?) was activating all those mutable planets and the ‘fateful’ Nodes in Gemini. The plus of Gemini Nodes being communication (!) and adaptability, and I suppose the minus being Marjorie’s “windmill in a storm” kind of vibe.

Back in 2017, for the Inauguration, tr Saturn in Sagittarius – another ‘fateful’ possibility? – had just crossed those degrees and was square Mars in Pisces. So a less exuberant sign of Saturnian isolationism perhaps? For this time round, Jupiter in Gemini expanded the USA’s Mars square Neptune for what? A mix of delusional and misplaced idealism and dogmatic actions? The vehicle for this would be a vastly expanded Gemini Sun/Uranus etc Trump. The tr Sun in Pisces is crossing all those degrees now, joined by tr Mars in Pisces late this month and early April. Does the left hand know what the right hand is doing?

          • JaneUK is that you?!?

Any time I contemplate Trump’s chart I can’t believe how well he expresses it but only in terms of the negatives that the astrology cookbooks doommonger about. Gemini changeability, lack of forethought for consequences. The Leo Mars/Asc being a bully. The Cancer Saturn/Venus being a scared little baby. Even his Sag moon gets to be a loud blowhard with everything being the best ever.

          • Hello GD, yes it is me! The Leo Mars/Asc very much in evidence as you say with all the gold in his Trump Tower rooms, his increasingly baroque hairstyles, fake tan, all the bombastic stuff…..but in a way he’s the Cowardly Lion from the Wizard of Oz! Or maybe the duplicitous Wizard himself, hiding behind a curtain?

Does the Sagittarius Moon say something about his Scottish mother though? It’s conjunct the South Node (the past? what we already know?), and connects with the dreamy, illusory US Mars/Neptune square. She travelled a long way (Sagittarius) from the Outer Hebrides to the USA for a new life. She was a Gaelic speaker, daughter of poor and probably illiterate crofters. Apparently she never lost touch with her roots, and returned to visit Lewis when she could.

    • Hi. My kid works in politics. Says Ro Khanna is def running, as is Beshear. He also says AOC is choosing between senate and prez and hasn’t decided yet but it will be one of the two.

  4. This question is not related, but will probably be relevant very soon. Trump keeps stating that Cuba is next on his hit list. What does Cuba’s chart look like? Will Trump continue to embroil us in wars, or will something happen to stop him? Because I am scared one of these countries will conduct a terrorist attack, and Trump will use it as a means to suspend the 2026 midterms so he retains power. What does astrology suggest?
