The Trump trail of tears and terror continues to lengthen as he retreats from saving the world in the face of Putin and Netanyahu’s intransigence and instead turns his vengeful laser on home targets – Jerome Powell of the Federal Reserve, John Bolton, former ally turned critic, and Democrat-run cities which he deems killing zones because of the murder rate.
Chicago is next in his sights despite have a lower mortality rate than many GOP run cities which has envigorated the Illinois governor J.B. Pritzker, a potential Democratic presidential hopeful, into mounting a stalwart defence against any prospect of federal troops being sent in.
A commentator said: “This clash runs deeper than a short-term political spat. It might develop into a full-blown crisis between a Republican White House and a major Democratic-run city and state. Likely legal challenges could turn on core values of republicanism in a dispute between a president with a monarchical sense of power and a state that rejects federal duress.”
Trump has already dispatched troops onto the streets of Los Angeles and Washington, DC, and is clearly pushing his testing of the limits of executive power and a way of normalizing the idea of khaki-clad soldiers conducting domestic law enforcement.
The Chicago mayor said ““What the president is proposing is military occupation of the city of Chicago and cities across America.” California governor Gavin Newsom has accused the president of using the military as a “private army.”
J.B. Pritzker, 19 January 1965 1.01 pm Palo Alto, California, is a billionaire businessman and politician. He is a final degree Capricorn Sun with a formidable Mars, Pluto and Uranus in Virgo as well as a Virgo Moon opposition an executive 10th house Saturn – and an 8th house Venus Mercury in Taurus. Plus a high-finance Jupiter in Taurus opposition Neptune. There’s nothing much to suggest success in 2028. But his relationship with Trump which is riddled with dislike at the best of times will be turned upside down this December and mid March to early April 2026.
Chicago will be a worthy foe for Trump, 4 March 1837, since its Mars Jupiter in Leo is conjunct Trump’s 12th house power-hungry Pluto. That relationship chart hints the war of words will escalate over the winter with continued pressure beyond that.
Trump’s relationship with John Bolton and Jerome Powell also show considerable unrest and turbulence when Uranus retrogrades to late Taurus from this November to April 2026. With Powell’s woes continuing into 2026. Gavin Newsom/Trump will also creak and groan now through 2026 and on.
I wondered – for the umpteenth time – precisely what drives Trump – astrologically speaking. Gemini like all signs has its trickier side and can be unfeeling. A Gemini North Node tends to rush around like a bull in a china shop. Mars in Leo is bombastic and a flagrant attention-seeker, can oddly be petty when it feels ignored, but Leo itself is not renowned as a sign with a vengeful streak. Uranus in the 10th demands freedom and dislikes having to submit to rules. All of which suggest a temperament veering towards the chaotic and impractical with no Earth signs – but not of a Stalinesque dictator or a Viktor Orban for that matter (Sun Gemini square Pluto with Mars opposition Saturn.)
There are two other ways of approaching a chart. One is with midpoints and his, unsurprisingly, has a super-confident Sun square Mars/Jupiter and Jupiter square Sun/Pluto. But he also ominously has his 12th house Pluto sitting on the midpoint of Mars/Saturn which has overtones of brutality and destruction and will give him a capacity for great unkindness (cruelty). Especially so with a 12th house Pluto which can have a deep, dark reservoir of intense over reactions.
The other approach is via Fixed stars.
Trump has Mars conjunct Alphard, the Hydra water snake which is associated with – trouble and scandal through love affairs. “This conjunction brings out the dynamo in the native. Properly directed it brings them to leadership. However, the native may bring on sorrows and possibly scandals due to their actions. These natives are generally daring and foolhardy, defiant and stubborn.” He shares this with Benjamin Netanyahu.
Ascendant conjunct Regulus – a splendid and illustrious life; glorious, mighty and commanding nature; fame, busy with many activities, bountiful resources, well known or feared. Illustrious generals who subjugate regions and cities, are inclined to speak frankly, have a taste for fighting. Great honour and wealth, and violence and trouble, acute disease, benefits seldom last, victory over enemies and scandal.
Manilius a Roman poet of AD 30 is quoted.:
‘But when the Lion shews his ravenous Jaws
Prepared for Rapine, and unsheaths his Paws,
A Spendthrift’s born, who minds himself alone
—
So fast his Gluttony, his Lust so wild
That he devours himself, yet is not fill’d.’
Midheaven conjunct Algol: A splendid and illustrious life. Both negative and positive influences. The darker side is bigoted, secretive, subject to violence, either to or by the native, a propagandist. Mass vandalism, fanaticism, tragedies, ruthlessness. Algol has has a long tradition as a troublemaker.
Saturn conjunct Procyon he shares with the Marquis de Sade, Daniel Ortega (Nicaragua dictator), George W. Bush, Itamar Ben-Gvir (Israel minister of National Security), John F. Kennedy.
The 2025 Inauguration chart which has a dictatorial, intimidating Sun Pluto opposition Mars – also has Jupiter conjunct Aldebaran: This position brings recognition or glory that has not been earned. Unless a conscious path is followed all will be lost eventually.
And Mars conjunct Procyon: The native can become involved in statements that are open to question or debate. There may be a complete lack of compassion for others. Scandalous actions and insensitive, cruel actions, prideful and of a controversial nature.

Spurred by the Burt and Maggie stream below, dare I splash in the opposite direction?
Any markers for a Third Trump Term?
DuckDuckGo yielded a decent overview on a site called theconversation . com entitled Has Any US president ever served more than eight years?
Speaking as a resident of Illinois, Pritzker doesn’t seem any more popular than Trump is here, but people in Illinois always feel we’re at the mercy of politicians and can’t do much. I’ve heard that the controversies between the Pritzkers and Trumps go way back, long before politics, something to do with casinos or investments. It’s great public relations for both of them, and perhaps payback for Pritzker trying to poise himself as the major resistance to Trump. We know Pritzker wants to run for president but I can’t see him going anywhere. Chicago does have its crime, but not sure if worse than other cities. It sounds like the Nat’l Guard is coming next week. Probably Baltimore would be next.
Non astrologically, I may be misreading the situation, but it is interesting that Trump is going after cities in Democratic states with white male governors who are the most likely Democratic presidential candidates in 2028.
L.A. and Gavin Newsom, Chicago and J.B. Pritzker. Looking at the pattern, my feeling is that it would be a city or cities in Kentucky (Democrat governor Andy Beshear) next.
Is it a way to wound/attack them through their cities during his current term?
He’s also going after Baltimore, with an impressive Black mayor and governor, Wes Moore, mentioned as a presidential contender. Baltimore has long had problems, both crime and deep-seated corruption dating back to at least two corrupt White governors of Maryland, but the state and city currently have sound leadership.
I think what we really all want to know is when, astrologically, it’s going to happen. We all know what I mean by, when is *it* going to happen so that we can start to get out of this mess.
“Burt”, from what I know, it is inappropriate for astrologers to predict death. Is that what “it” means to you? Or perhaps you want to know when another assassination attempt will happen that will kill Trump? Marjorie needs to take your post down. I’m surprised she has left this up and that I am the only one questioning this.
Pluto is now transiting his 6th, and it’s clear his physical health is in decline, let alone his mental acuity. Burt may be wondering when he might leave office as a result, though maybe you can tell us why his post should be taken down.
You are saying Burt might be wondering when Trump will leave office.
Why did Burt not ask that directly instead of saying,
“We all know what I mean by, when is *it* going to happen ”.
Why not say, “Marjorie, when will Trump leave office?” Short and simple and leaves no room for misunderstanding.
Burt, it would be great if you could clear this up, thank you. I have no problem admitting I misunderstood.
Chiron conjoins Eris in Aries for an extended phase beginning this month around the 6th and lasting through the end of October. Eris is relatively unknown and/or unused by most astrologers, but its presence becomes more evident when a more traditional planet aspects it. In essence, Chiron — the Wounded Healer — is carrying Eris’s essence over the next two months, and in Aries, that spells trouble. Eris is known as a troublemaker, and Chiron can be the same way when it feels wounded. In Aries, they work out their pain by being extra aggressive against perceived enemies. Those with planets at 24º to 26º of the cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn) are especially prone to over-reacting, over-attacking, and otherwise being offensive beyond what the situation merits. As an example, consider Donald Trump: his Venus at 25º Cancer rules his Taurus Midheaven.
I’ve only recently started thinking about Eris. It’s interesting that Eris has been in Aries since 1923-26 and that it will leave Aries in 2044-48. The 1920s saw ideological authoritarianism, the rise of fascism in Europe, USA and elsewhere and communism in Russia as well as communist revolution in China.
I’m no astrologer but follow this site out of curiosity and for some sense of, well, narrative. Seemingly everything that happens now is so dramatic that it seems fated and perhaps of some higher purpose than we can see. These days sort of force mysticism upon me. In that spirit, I ask: Andre, is the certainty you express when you write really in keeping with the basic premise of astrology as indicating potentials? One of the reasons I follow this site on a regular basis is because Marjorie keeps her powder dry, so to speak, and always frames things in terms of potentialities and likelihoods. I do not say this to attack in any way. I am more curious as to why you see the outcomes as more fixed than I think others do. That said, I also think some basic understanding of the psychology at play can be informative. JD Vance and Rubio lack Trump’s popularity and seem unlikely to me to maintain what is obviously at this point a cult. Emotionally, I do not think the Trump cult has invested even a whit of emotion in Vance. And Rubio, more than Vance, even seems to have a sense of shame, a very healthy emotion when you consider that a lack of shame appears to be Trump’s only real super power. I can see a potentiality for Vance to take power, cut the right deals and maintain this sense of direction, but I’m not sure about a likelihood or his ability to remain in power long term. And Rubio, again just judging by personalities and past history, has almost no shot at all. That’s my take just as an informed observer of politics, so I will get back out of the way now and let the astrologers discuss.
Rubio very much behaves like a man who has made a Faustian bargain with the Devil. He has displayed far more of a conscience and awareness before this period, but it is abundantly clear that he’s not totally comfortable with what he’s involved in now under Trump.
I’m curious what compelled him to cast his lot in so tightly with someone he once vigorously opposed.
@Clarence, I agree that Rubio seems uncomfortable with a lot of what Trump is doing. I suspect he never thought Trump’s term would evolve in such an extreme manner. It’s been well documented that he disliked serving in the Senate. Such a prestigious appointment as Secretary of State was a way out, though I think he’s ultimately trashed his career and reputation by the adopting Trump’s insane behavior and extreme policies.
It may be as simple as being driven by a need to be the centre of attention. Leo rising with the chart ruler the Sun in the 10th House: ambitious, wants to be admired and acknowledged for his achievements (desire for Nobel Peace Prize). All with an emotional need to be a disrupter with the Sun conjunct Uranus and tied into the opposition with the Moon. The whole world can see how he responds to flattery, or the lack of it. He doesn’t want to lose the status of POTUS.
Hi Xhane, agree. And I’d add the strategic placement of Mars conjunct his Leo ASC, and squaring his Taurus MC, for a forceful personal dynamic that has a lot of drive, energy, and ambition to succeed (compete, win, or survive). Confident, competitive, and daring, at times, that Mars seems like quite a power source for him; he seems endlessly energized to achieve and accomplish/materialize his Taurus goals.
I lived in nyc and my roommate was a dancer taking some modeling jobs once in a while in the 2000’s. She was once in a job with melania when they were dating or maybe they had gotten married and she told my roommate she wanted to get her parents to America. She was looking for a green card, the money helped too. It was a deal.
E.g. how ChatGPT interprets and parses Hamaker when it comes to unaspected Pluto in terms of manipulation, control, and power grabs:
Because unaspected planets function autonomously, Pluto’s manipulative side (hidden agendas, behind-the-scenes influence, subtle coercion) can emerge erratically and compulsively.
The individual may swing between:
Unconsciously manipulating others to maintain control or avoid vulnerability, and
Feeling manipulated or dominated by others or by life circumstances.
Hamaker-Zondag emphasizes that this is not deliberate “evil intent,” but an autonomous eruption of Pluto energy that bypasses rational moderation.
America has become an example of what bedevils the World,in its entirety. It’s historical beginnings hold its present DNA which is heading to those previously unresolved Civil Wars.
The US was founded on two genocides: native peoples and black slaves. No wonder it allows the current genocide in Palestine. It feels familiar. The Pluto return brings back its shadow that it has failed to confront or integrate. Trump is the form that shadow now takes in the collective unconscious. It’s all abuit his 12th house Pluto.
Over on International Astrology Forum, there is a discussion on Pluto, which refers to an article, Pluto unleashed, out of bounds, which can be found on Astrodienst, worth reading and relating to our time, 2025-2035.
Indeed, Andre. The Civil War of 1861-65 and its end brought about a rare window (and 1st US Uranus Return & first half Neptune Return) for the country to acknowledge and come to terms with its original sins, particularly regarding slavery.
The biggest and gravest mistake made by the Unionist Radical Republicans however was in letting the Southern Confederacy leaders off the hook and allowing them to reintegrate into American society during the Reconstruction Era. They did alright, but set their longer term sights on destroying the Union from within, like termites silently eating away at a house foundation, through Jim Crow discrimination laws against blacks, politically active and aggressive southern Evangelical Christianity, and the “Lost Cause” narrative peddled by Confederate sympathizers to this day.
If it looks and feels like the Confederacy has indeed risen again with a vengeance, it’s because in a certain sense it has. It’s racist, bigoted specter lives now through MAGA, and with Tump, who is basically a neo-Confederate President, betraying his Yankee New York origins.
Unionists wanted to forgive and forget. The Confederates never forgave or forget.
Trump’s Pluto is also unaspected and rules his 4th house, a very important thing to consider.
El Aznar – Pluto is only unaspected if you don’t recognise Natal Pluto sextile natal Neptune, sextile natal Chiron, sextile natal Jupiter and opposition natal Ceres?
I found that Ceres opposite Pluto signifies a powerful conflict between nurturing and transformation. Can cause intense emotional experiences forcing Pluto power energies against others regardless of the consequences. Pluto/Chiron sextile equals a feeling of I can eat junk food/do what I what and not fear the consequences. Pluto/Neptune, manipulate/confuse others as much as possible. Pluto/Jupiter – I get what I want regardless.
I go by the Hamaker rule of no out-of-sign aspects & tighter orbs (max for Sun and Moon, 8°, and not for all aspects). The orb is also to wide for the sextile to Neptune.
7° is also too big an orb for sextile (to Jupiter) and small bodies don’t count. In this view.
There is latitude on orbs when tied into other configurations – in this case the Uranus trine North Node Jupiter sextile Pluto.
As a point of interest, it would would appear that the National Guard will only be sent to cities requesting assistance.
One might wonder if this particular topic is a way to deflect from the seemingly miraculous cleanup of Washington DC.
Have a look at Anthony Brian Logan’s recent u tube. He created an enlightening compilation of thankful DC region residents. A decidedly different demographic to the protesters and commentators.
Washington DC and LA did not request assistance from the National Guard and Chicago and New York have made it clear they do not want or need assistance.
I was imprecise, thank you for pointing that out.
He today told reporters in the Oval Office that he is prepared to order National Guard troops to cities like Chicago, New York, and Baltimore, but ideally wants local officials to invite federal assistance.
Unlike states, D.C. has no direct control over its National Guard, which reports solely to the president, allowing Trump to deploy them without local approval.
PC, I find it interesting that Trump is using this power when, back on January 6, 2021, he claimed he couldn’t use the National Guard to protect the capital.
Either the rules apply to all of us, or not at all.
Most astrologists claim that both parties, both Republicans and Democrats, will undergo a transformation. Right now, Democrats are weak and shackled by a hope that things will go back to normal. But once that hope goes away, what do you think will happen?
My advice to Republicans is to try to reign Trump in before it is too late. Because once Democrats stop following the rules, what justification will Republicans offer to go back to working together? Because right now, they are starting to wake up to the fact that Republicans are treating them like enemies and not neighbors.
I agree.
The good news is that Trump’s polls are tanking. The latest has him at 40% favorability.
40%! Struth. That’s still over one third of the population.
How come it’s not 4%?
Trump’s deployment of the National Guard in Washington DC and LA is another step towards dictatorship. It is a test run for when he declares an emergency and uses troops to “defend” democracy during the midterm elections. The midterms are held on Nov 3 2026 and apart from tr Saturn square Trump’s Mercury look fairly benign for him.
Jupiter will be in Leo nearly conjunct Trump’s Mars and Ascendant in the mid-terms. That definitely favors Trump.
I’m not so sure. I live in a red state, and prices are skyrocketing here. A 12 pack of drinks that was once 4 dollars a year ago is now over 8 dollars. At Dollar General!
People are still delusional, because they delight in seeing immigrants getting deported. But what happens once they realize that immigrants were never the cause of their problems? That instead it is the ultra rich who have made necessities into luxuries?
I suspect that people will vote Democrat once they start starving and their homes are foreclosed on. That is the way it always has worked since Reagan. Republicans come in and cause a recession. Democrats come in and clean it up, only for the stupid public to do it again. Literally every time since Reagan.
Stupid behavior is learned, and in this case it will work to the country’s advantage. By 2026, people will vote based on how upset they are economically, while people like me who are doing well economically will still vote because we hate bullies like Trump. It won’t be a blue wave, but it will be enough to hold Trump in check and stop him from any more “big, beautiful bills”. Maybe the stress of a democratic block will finally push him over the edge.
And let’s not forget about Epstein. If a victim (or victims) come forward and accuse Trump, it won’t be enough to sway the MAGA faithful (they will scream fake news even if there is video taped evidence of him doing the deed.) But it may be enough for independents who were tricked into voting for him this time thinking he would help them to turn. I doubt we will ever get the full truth about Trump’s involvement with Epstein, because he is President and can make evidence and witnesses disappear, but the cover up is always worse than the scandal. I don’t know how to read charts, but if Democrats win the midterms, the Republican party is screwed.
All the National Guard in the world can’t keep an angry voting electorate down. I advise this forum to look up the Battle of Athens from Tennessee in 1946. Perhaps that chart may give hints as to this country’s upcoming election. In a nutshell, the sheriff in that race sent officers to patrol the election booths, arrest the opposition, and actually took the ballot box to the sheriff’s office to count the votes. The opposition armed themselves and chased the sheriff out of town.
Could someone with knowledge look into the Battle of Athens to see if there are similarities between that and the 2026 midterms? Because if so, Trump better watch out.
I can definitely see Chicago rising to the challenge and standing up to Trump. It is a deeply resourceful city on par with NYC, even if it only has about a third of the population. It isn’t known as the city with “big shoulders” for no reason, which sounds Leonine and also implies great strength.
This could very well be a defining, rallying confrontation for Chicago, and may propel it forward with a different outlook and strengthened identity in the post-Trump era, which is coming far sooner than later.
Personally, I’d love to see Chicago really step back into its role as the “Capital of the Midwest” and really advocate for multi-state economic development in that region, through high-speed rail and other job-creation projects. Gov. Pritzker could certainly champion this approach if he becomes President. Seems like a legit path forward for Dems to cut through the rancid ideology-driven malice and “tear-it-all-down” insanity of the MAGA Republicans.
I honestly don’t see Trump lasting too much longer. He’s aging rapidly now and appears increasingly frail with his body breaking down on him as his hands and ankles indicate. And he is losing his mind. Between his Neptune-opp-Neptune, Uranus Return, and Pluto-opp-Pluto transits these next few years, he’s on his way down and out. I strongly suspect he’ll be in full-on Alzheimer’s by this time next year.
The govt. apparatus surrounding him and media that has propped him up make him seem far more powerful and threatening than he actually is.
His eternal silence at long last will be a blessing to humanity.
I hope you are right. Trump’s decline is the only thing that might save US democracy. Trump’s advisor Stephen Miller has just declared that the Democratic Party is a terrorist organization – this is civil war rhetoric.
Correction: Miller called the Democrats and “extremist” organization
DW, Stephen Miller is a nobody. He hides behind Trump for all of his power. When Trump is gone, Miller’s political ambitions are toast.
He is universally reviled, even among Republicans. Who can tolerate that shrill, screeching voice of his? He will be investigated, prosecuted and very likely will face prison time. He has no clout, charisma or influence of his own. He’s a sick, deranged person, very much like Kristi Noem, but without the whole Barbie doll dress-up scheme.
I agree but he is indicative of the mindset of the MAGA inner circle. They believe in a Trump dictatorship.
They can believe in whatever they want. When he’s gone, the myth shatters and his regime crumbles. I do think Neptune & Saturn are at play here too. We came close to piercing the illusion at the end of July when they were minutes from exactitude, and the Epstein scandal was at maximum pressure. I suspect we will see a “resolution” to this around Feb 20 next year, regardless as to what state Trump is in.
Also, Miller is on a limb hanging out over a deep ravine. He and the others in the regime are soon going to find themselves with nowhere to stand, and no place to go.
“I strongly suspect he’ll be in full-on Alzheimer’s by this time next year.”
Clarence, perhaps a viewing of today’s cabinet meeting will transform your suspicions. It’s available on the White House u tube channel.
Although he does make use of the occasional hyperbole, it would seem that he’s full of his trademark swagger and very much on the ball.
Did you have the same inklings over the last President, I wonder?
PC, the transits don’t lie. I stand by my analysis. Trump is indeed on his way down. Watch a video of him a year ago and compare. He isn’t the same. It’s not realistic to expect him to be, given his age, family history, lifestyle habits and risk factors.
He’s not invincible and will be lucky if he lives through the 2026 midterms without drool coming out of his mouth. The Neptune Opposition natal Neptune transit for him perfects in 2027. A dim light may very well still be on, but there won’t be anyone home.
We all need to stop placating Trump’s badly damaged narcissist ego and stop feeding the myth that he’s some kind of God-King with divine powers and the hand of God guiding and protecting him. He’ll be gone from this Earth not a moment too soon, and all of these ridiculous illusions surrounding the man will finally and forever be completely shattered and broken.
I wasn’t a fan of Biden being president at his age either, and I believe he was well justified in stepping out of the re-election race given his own late-life transits and trajectory. Biden even belatedly has admitted he might not have survived a second term, and his prostrate cancer diagnosis was made public soon afterwards. Unfortunately, his timing of resignation was what screwed us all over. The choice of his successor should have been left to the primary elections. And, and, and.
Clarence, I’m intrigued, it’s not clear to me how you find his manner different this year as opposed to last. Aside from the synastry, what are the indications on video that have caught your eye?
It’s true, his demeanour is a bit more mellow compared to this time last year. There was indeed a lot of bluster present on the campaign trail, both before and after he was shot.
In today’s three hour cabinet meeting, he joked, read a prepared statement and made relevant observations. Not only that, his characteristic use of anecdotes were on point. The last half hour had him speaking what seemed to be extemporaneously when answering the press for a further half hour.
PC, even those in decline and dying can have “good” moments here and there. It’s a phenomenon in nature known as an “extinction burst” and occurs in everything from microscopic cells to massive supergiant stars that dwarf our own Sun and solar system many times over.
I take things in aggregate. Increasing moments of forgetfulness, late night bursts of rage, plus swollen ankles and two bruised hands aren’t at all assuring indicators of health and longevity at any age, for anyone.
Undoubtedly, one of the great questions of this period for future historians will be, how did people allow someone like him to even get into office—and why didn’t more people call out the obvious?
I fully agree with you Clarence, I always had my doubts that Trump will finish his term. He is not going to last long, he has Pluto on the 6th sector now and his health appears stressed. It is now shown by his hands and ankles, some sort of cancer that is currently kept a secret for now. It won’t be long until White House is forced to tell the truth. Around November this year something is happening around him, watch this space. At this time in 2026 US won’t be the same. He is now a full dictator, he is trying to destroy all those who don’t support him.
This is all wishful thinking in my view. Even if Trump goes, Vance would be President. Rubio would be a strong candidate in 2028. I don’t see any fudnamental change for many years.
Andre,
Again, I beg to differ on Vance. He can’t and will not hold the MAGA cult together when Trump is done for. Humpty Dumpty’s story will be an apt metaphor for MAGA when all is said and done. It won’t be able to be put back together again, no matter how much Fox News and the right wing try to do it after Trump is gone.
Vance is widely loathed and has none of the weird charisma that Trump has. Last I checked, his approval rating is in the low 20s for what it’s worth.
Peter Theil likes him. We all know this, and also, so what? Theil has his own troubles coming in with Saturn and Neptune both creeping towards his Saturn, Sun and Moon. He is going to be reminded increasingly of his greatest terror—his own mortality.
Two other things:
1.) Vance has Pluto opposing his Sun in 2029-30. This does not at all look like someone doing well in or out of the Presidency. I would say he is probably looking at criminal prosecution and/or impeachment and removal from office. If he finishes out any part of Trump’s term, he will be mostly ignored by other world leaders and US state governors as a weak and incompetent executive, and the federal government will crumble further under his tenure.
2) Pluto is going Out of Bounds south next month. I don’t think Marjorie has posted on it yet, but this is a 10 year period starting shortly in which we are going to see a major reversal in the power dynamics of people vs. corporate power, in favor of the people. This period tracks closely with the Revolutionary Era of the 1780s & 1790s.
So many people want to be doom and gloom, and I get it. There’s a lot to feel despair about right now.
But we’d have more to worry about if Pluto were in Leo and heading Out of Bounds to the North as it did in WWII.
Trump isn’t the avatar lord of a new dark regime or era. He’s the last gasp of the corporatocracy which has so overextended itself in a desire to control and consume all that it’s literally eating its own tail—and destroying the very system that gave birth to it. I actually draw some hope and encouragement from that. Pluto in Capricorn is over. We are in Pluto in Aquarius’s time. Power to the people. We have only to remember that we are the ones we have been waiting for.
I’m not American and don’t reside there, so I’m staying out of the politics, but I really don’t see the ‘increasingly frail’ narrative surrounding Trump. When he pops up on the telly here (often!) he comes across as very switched on.
Remarkably switched on here too, imo. Moreso than his first term. All comfy, and used to mix. He knows it won’t last forever and is aiming Big.
Algol on his Midheaven is, I would argue one of the reasons why he can destroy, lie, threaten, commit all kinds of cruelties, override the constitution, lay waste institutions and get away with it. Algol there both defines his actions in the world and seems to operate as protection for him. Algol often signifies head injuries and yet he even dodged a bullet that miraculously missed his head but instead merely grazed his ear. Thus far he has not faced justice for a litany of crimes including fraud, financial crimes and 27 allegations of sexual assault. Plus he’s capable of petty vengeance too. Black women were the main demographic who refused to vote for him, so he will seek to punish that demographic for not acknowledging his greatness.
In Chinese astrology, Algol is known as ‘Mausoleum’ and it is seen as part of an asterism of which Algol is the brightest. Its name is ‘Tseih She’ (積屍), meaning ‘Piled-up Corpses’. There may be many by the end of this administration’s term.
And Algol “protection” don’t ends? He can do whatever he wants without payback?
I’ve often wondered about his Cancer Saturn, aligned with the tricky twin in Gemini, the fixed star Pollux. Partly, because of the undoubted influence of his powerful father (who eventually succumbed to Alzheimer’s in old age).
“According to Ptolemy it is of the nature of Mars; and, to Alvidas, of the Moon, Mars and Uranus. It gives a subtle, crafty, spirited, brave, audacious, cruel and rash nature, a love of boxing, dignified malevolence, and is connected with poisons. [Robson, p.185-186.]
Pollux has a strong Martian nature and has the name ‘the wicked boy’ of the of the sibling Twins. According to its nature, this star is brutal and tyrannical, violent and cruel if in conjunction with the Sun, Moon, Ascendant, MC or with malefics. Just as Mars has its good sides if the energy it creates is channeled constructively, so Pollux should not always be considered as unhelpful. The star badly place could manifest that way, not by the native misusing his energy but by others deceiving him and fate playing him some cruel tricks. Helper if in peril on voyages at sea. [Fixed Stars and Their Interpretation, Elsbeth Ebertin, 1928, p.41.]”
Also at the degree of Trump’s Saturn is the fixed star Wezen in Canis Major. Back in the 1st Century, Manilius described the stars of Canis Major:
“Words run ahead of the speakers: the mind is too fast for the mouth [translator’s note: the impetuosity of the speaker causes him to utter words before he has time to adapt them to grammar or logic]. Their hearts start throbbing at the slightest cause, and when speech comes their tongues rave and bark, and constant gnashing imparts the sound of teeth to their utterance. Their failings are intensified by wine, for Bacchus [meaning alcohol] gives them strength and fans their savage wrath to flame.”
Perhaps we should be grateful that DJT doesn’t drink…..
I suspect that when a number of prominent fixed stars appear like this, there are many layers to consider. Does the universe have a purpose is one question that hovers over current affairs.
Sharing a weird coincidence I came across to further point to even more questions – novels by Ingersoll Lockwood written in 1889, 1893, and 1896. Two are children’s stories, the Baron Trump novels, and the last “1900 or the Last President” for adults. They were published during the Neptune and Pluto in Gemini era.
“Jaime Fuller wrote in Politico that Baron Trump is “precocious, restless, and prone to get in trouble.” He often mentions his massive brain and has a personalized insult for most people he meets. Fuller also notes that Baron Trump lives in a building named after himself, “Castle Trump”; while the real-life Donald Trump had lived in Trump Tower for decades. Furthermore, Donald Trump’s youngest son’s name is Barron Trump, and Donald Trump used the pseudonym “John Barron” in the 1980s.[1] Chris Riotta noted in Newsweek that Baron Trump’s adventures begin in Russia. Riotta also mentioned another book of Lockwood’s, 1900; or, The Last President, in which New York City is riven by protests following the shocking victory in the 1896 presidential election of a populist candidate who brings on the downfall of the American republic” Wikipedia
Oddly prescient. I believe the Neptune-Pluto conjunciton of 1891 conjunct US Uranus is the foundation of modern civilization. The US Uranus return activates it. That is why the first Uranus return after the conjunction brought the US world dominaition in 1944-45. The next one in 2027-28 will take place while progressed US Mars is retrograde, which could bring an end to that era. If you use Scorpio as the US rising sign as I do, the Neptune-Pluto conjunction and US Uranus fall in its 8th house, the house of Mars and Pluto, plutocrats and unbridled capitalsim. Of course, the 1890s were the Gilded Age of extreme inequality that Trump is reverting to. Teddy Roosevelt put an end to it, but was the first imperialist president, whoi inspired his distant cousin, FDR. They used the posiitive energies of the US chart. These now appear to be spent.
Fascinating Jane. Shades of Morgan Robertson’s ‘Futility’ there, which was written in 1898 too, 14 years before the sinking of the Titanic!
Thanks Marjorie. I wonder about DJT being born on the day of a lunar eclipse? It is in the 2 Old North series which Brady says is ‘difficult’, with the New Moon of the first eclipse on the Mars-Uranus midpoint. DJT certainly seems to express Mars/Uranus in many ways, and appears to have done throughout his life. Here’s some snippets from the years that his natal Saros Series repeated:
2018: Government Shutdown: Trump instigated the longest government shutdown in U.S. history by demanding $5.7 billion for the U.S.-Mexico border wall, which began in December 2018 and extended into February 2019.
2000: “I may be too honest to be a politician” DJT quote from that year, when –
Donald Trump sought the Reform Party’s presidential nomination but withdrew from the race, which was ultimately won by Pat Buchanan. Around this time, Trump also significantly expanded his business empire by licensing the Trump name for a variety of consumer products and residential property developments.
1982: “In their 1982 lawsuits, the tenants said Trump had cut off their hot water and heat during New York’s freezing winters and stopped all building repairs. One claimed he allowed “a rodent infestation of the premises.” Another said he imposed burdensome new rules in an attempt to force them out.
For example, Trump’s new building manager claimed there was a burglary in the building. Dentists with apartment offices were ordered to send patients to the garbage-filled service elevator, according to building management documents and a dentist’s lawsuit that tried to fight it.
Dr. Michael Richman refused to comply with the new rule, complaining in court documents that Trump “mounted a campaign of harassment.” CNN
I also wondered about his Draconic chart, but don’t feel confident about interpreting that.
Mars and Uranus are both in Gemini in the US chart. Uranus is only beginning to activate them. Even if Trump goes, disruption will increase. He has a Sun-Uranus conjuncition conjunct US Mars. When Uranus reaches that point, which will be also the first Israel Uranus return.
“…….Chicago is next in his sights despite have a lower mortality rate than many GOP run cities …….”
Crap, this canard is pushed often but it is meant to deceive rather than inform. I recall someone posting on a chat room “15 small Republican towns with high murder rates”. I checked them out (oh gawd). 5 of the “small towns” were subdivisions in metro areas with more than 5 million people, another 5 were in urban areas of over 1 million and mostly Democrat, and only one town was genuinely small and Republican controlled. Lots of Republican states have high murder rates, like Missouri, but have most of its murders committed in Democrat cities.
I wonder if he risks overreach. The military being used for this purpose is asking for trouble. No offense, but they are trained for warzones, not law enforcement. What if something happens, and they accidentally kill a innocent person, or God forbid, a child? I can see the population of that city rising up and rioting. And if this should happen in Washington DC, where Trump is located, I think another January 6 event against Trump could occur if the outrage goes out of control.
Is there any indication of California, Washington DC, Chicago, or another such area finally manage to stop Trump from his illegal occupation?
As long as the corrupt Republican majority on the SCOTUS allows Trump to expand his power and Congressional Republican refuse to assert the legislative branch as a coequal to the executive Trump will continue his dictatorial tendencies.
Wolfstar at Neptunecafe used some progressed aspects of Trump’s chart and he confirmed that Trump will continue to act out unimpeded (unfortunately).
Can you add something about Lisa D. Cook?
Lisa is a goner like the other 300K black women who have lost their jobs since Trump became president.
I kept thinking whether in this I am seeing a silhoutte of how this possible escalation in America regarding the Uranus in Gemini might look like: as if he will push it all to its very limits, people will rebel against this kind of personalized use of all the branches of American power and government, and mayhem will ensue.
Well the redistricting nonsense seems like a nonviolent version of a civil war with Trump pitting red states and blue states against each other.
I could see Republicans in blue states moving to red states if that blue state eliminated the possibility of any Congressional district being won by a Republican.
As for real violence I could see that in localized instances, but with the economy worsening everyday people are more focused on food and shelter than protesting a potential military type occupation.
