  7. Hi Majorie,

    I am curious about Beto O’Rourke. The last reading you did on him was ahead of the 2020 US Elections. Despite his popularity you were sceptical of him getting the nomination. Now it seems he is having some type of comeback, not as a candidate but more as a John-the-Baptist kind of figure, inspiring and infusing Texas democrats with transformations which could lie ahead. He seems to me to be quite a neptunian figure, how much real politik does he even command. Would love to see his current influences vis-a-vis the state of Texas and his antagonist Paxton, who is very popular in Texas judging by his lead in the polls of the GOP primary.

    • Was thinking the same, GD. The Grand Trine in Air, the Kite and Mystic Rectangle formations are turning out to be quite the brutes.

      • Yes indeed. UK yod in focus, along with everything else everywhere else……I have various thoughts about Mars in Libra too. Libra’s constellation was once the claws of the Scorpion. So does that ancient link lurk beneath our Libran keywords and unsettle them in some way? Venus in myths can also be capricious and selfish, not always a sweet influence perhaps. She’s magnetic, but like Jupiter (expansive) could attract all manner of influences?

        • I believe the brightest star in Libra is known as Zubenelgenubi or the Southern claw of Scorpius, Jane. I actually love the sound of that name, like the name of a character in Star Wars, Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy or something! It’s at 15 Libra and said to cause “malevolence, obstruction, an unforgiving character, violence, disease, lying, crime, disgrace, and danger of poison. Symbolically called the Insufficient Price, it is of the nature of Saturn and Mars”, according to Astrology King.

          • Yes! And hmmn, UK 1801 Nodes 14 Aries/Libra. Today’s Venus/Jupiter conjunction is 14 Cancer. Hoping it triggers something positive, otherwise it might symbolise a very large woman, the Statue of Liberty, or themes of the goddess making their way into the zeitgeist?

          • The Via Combusta starts at 15 Libra and goes through to 15 Scorpio. Not something I know any much about but I recall the horarists like to talk about it and it’s not considered a good area of the zodiac.

            Also, does it’s effect minus out the benefits of having say natal 24/25 Libra Moon near Spica, 23 Libra, which is a very positive fixed star? So complicated

          • Tbh, I’d never heard of the Via Combusta or its reputation for misfortune and looking it up, see that I have 5 planets there including the Sun, Moon and 2 personal planets!

      • Also, the so-called second Sun, Sirius is 14 Cancer.

    I was just looking at Kim Davis’s natal chart, birthtime included, on Astrodienst.
    Wow, what a chart! Given that she is once again in the headlines, I noticed that
    Uranus is getting ready to cross her Ascendant ( 4 something Gemini? )
    Very evocative chart indeed. I’ll leave it at that. Her wiki gives her personal
    life details which are confusing as heck to figure out. Really odd, but I have
    never personally been to the area where she lives. Just crazy.

  10. Biddy Baxter, of Blue Peter fame has died aged 92, she was a formidable person – one producer when asked was there a hierarchy said yes, she was at the top, everyone else was at the bottom. Would love to see her chart.

Hi Marjorie in case of interest the the Palestine Action demonstrators in London on Saturday 9th were all asked to reveal their banners at 1pm, thus the time and catalyst for their subsequent arrest, nearly 600 in total. I hope there I are very positive and supportive astrological indicators around the chart. Our Home Secretary’s role in this fiasco would be of interest too, and her shelf life in the job as well

  12. Israeli government ads appearing on certain sites via google ads.
    A user writes: “Now when I open this page, about twice a day, each time, and for more than a week, on either side of your articles there are long, narrow ads on behalf of Israel, showing Hamas as responsible for an emaciated hostage (photo shown) – and spreading the lie – with photo of starving Palestinians holding out empty pans from behind a barrier on the cover of Time magazine.
    I’m well informed about the situation in Palestine, and its history. I object to having to see this propaganda each time I open your news page. I’ve sent feedback to google over and over but it makes no difference.”
    There has been pushback in Denmark for the same. Thomas Ploug, a professor of applied ethics at Aalborg University, criticises the campaign: “Political advertising is problematic because it holds enormous potential for misinformation. Some parts of it, to the best of my knowledge, clearly serve as propaganda.”
    In a written response, Google said it had taken action against ads violating its guidelines, including those with “shocking or violent content.” After investigating the issue, the company confirmed that it had removed some of the ads in question.
    It is not possible to object to google ads directly – the individual user needs to click at the top right of the advert (not on the advert) where there is the little triangle and three dots and ‘complain’ or advise that they don’t want this kind of ad. There is no way to complain directly to google for ads it serves.
    Sorry not to be able to directly stop these ads. But the more users complain the likelier it is they will get the message.

  14. Sadly, we are facing the same old issues with no end in sight. Trump causing chaos. Putin torturing Ukraine. The humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Yet no one can really say if or when those who are tortured will succeed in overthrowing or defeating their aggressors. Not that I would expect a timeline, because astrology is only as accurate as the birth charts of the people involved (in other words, there is too many variables to give a complete picture). Having said that, is there any point where those who are being oppressed can look forward to as the beginning of the end of their suffering?
    So sorry to keep bringing up the T word . But those of us who abhor bullies want his end of power so badly that we feel we are grasping at straws and it feels that predictions seeing an early exit feels more and more realistic with each day.

    • Yes, we are very, very tired of the T-word! I look at T’s chart several times a week as random thoughts and puzzles cross my little pea brain. I’ve been doing this since 2016 and have gone over his charts so many times I’m sick of it. But the fascination continues too. He has a beyond strong chart – most people with an interest already know the highlights so no point dragging them out again.

      I don’t see anything on the horizon that will put a stop to T’s aggressive, thoughtless behaviour, or his wild and eratic decisions. They may settle after the midterms, but certainly not before then. In October, there may be a hang up politically based on his progressed outer planets. I’ve run the charts for several years forward (as any astrologer with software can do). The focus being the outer planets to his angles etc. (assuming the birth time is accurate – so far it works far too well!). There is nothing indicating a fall from grace until at least the latter part of his term. The Epstein sex scandal will dog him to the end, now that it has got attention again. Revelations may appear, but so will the suppression. I don’t see him being impeached again, for a third time.

      In September and October there will be budget negotiations – or more precisely a budget stand-off. However, long term, T’s not going anywhere. His progressed Venus/Jupiter conjunction in Libra in the 12th (secret business deals, making nice with the enemy) is nowhere near out of orb. Plenty of time left for that progressed aspect. Also, his progressed Pluto at 12 Leo is at the midheaven in the 10th and his progressed Part of Fortune is inconjunct Pluto at 12 Capricorn in the 3rd – not an easy aspect, but Fortune is still fortune. Also, his progressed Vertex at 12 Gemini in the 8th is sextile Pluto. Stamina (vertex) he has, along with the Gemini endless talk – Gemini talk coming from the 8th is dark, negative, undermining. All or which is perfect for an autocrat. That doesn’t mean he will “win” in the game vs. Putin, but he will play it for all the attention he can get.

      Anyone can see he is aging and feeling the pressure, though, and his natal house of health has transiting Pluto on the cusp. All the same, it seems likely he will hold up for his entire 4 year term. I’ve started to think he is the spoiled blotch on the outside of the apple, but the decay goes deep. The wider politics are not healthy and whether the USA will be the leader of the free world in future is in doubt. Even a blockage to his agenda after the midterms won’t suffice to clean things up.

      • I should add as to Trump’s progressed chart, oddly, his progressed Moon is void of course at present. I presume that indicates how much he is out of touch with the people he “rules”, but also that he really doesn’t have a plan. Too bad there is no verified time for Putin. `Marjorie, could you provide comments on the meeting, please?

        Also, looking at the US progressed chart for August 15 relative to Trump’s August 15 progressed chart relocated to Alaska, it is rather ominous that Trump’s prog. Pluto in Leo is in the 12th of hidden matters, along with his prog. Mercury in Leo, where he could be making deals that the rest of the government does not see. T’s progressed Saturn is square US Saturn. Trump’s prog. Neptune (lies, deception) is trine USA prog. Uranus (surprises). Trine might indicate it is too easy, considering Putin is the opponent (or collaborator). Trump’s progressed Neptune is also inconjunct US prog. Venus in Taurus in the US prog. 9th of legal matters (money/assets – Venus & Taurus).

        Trump’s prog. Sun is at 8 Virgo in the first (all about him), which is inconjunct USA Moon at 8 Aries in the 8th (debt, assets of the enemy – making a deal to benefit Putin??). Inconjunct Moon would say that the country will not like it, whatever it is. That’s all pure speculation, of course, before the actual event, but I’d say these progressed aspects are not favorable to the country.

Marjorie, what do you think is the astro aspects in play regarding the crazy world we live in right now where people, including disabled and elderly, are being arrested and potentially labelled terrorists because they have the ‘audacity’ to be angry about the genocide going on in Gaza? Will these aspects pass soon, because the world is upside down right now in every way? I saw a quote online that sums the Israel problem up perfectly:

    ‘Imagine living in a world where you could get arrested or suspended for saying don’t kill children, because it might hurt the feelings of the killers.’

    Israel’s chart is 14 May 1948, 4pm Tel Aviv.

    Would Pluto moving into Aquarius and into a hard opposition to its Leo MC be the main player here in exposing Israel’s behaviour to the world or Uranus in Taurus now squaring it’s Pluto/Leo MC? Or is there another aspect going on here, and when will this witch-hunt, totalitarian energy evaporate?

  18. Love the photo, Marjorie! My cats were huge Attenborough fans too, spending many hours glued to the screen. The silver tabby would paw the screen in an attempt to ‘catch’ whatever creature was scuttling about.

    • Unfortunately Bertie barks with an increasingly high pitched yowl which almost makes Attenborough unwatchable. Hope he grows out of it.

    • Loving the photo too! Nothing like a terrier to make me smile. Our old standard poodle (Gemini) was very keen on nature films too, and would try to look for creatures behind the tv. My male Burmese (Scorpio) loved sport on tv, particularly ice skating, dancing, and gymnastics. He was mesmerised by the skating figures, often patting them to see if he could catch one. Never caught anything other than the odd moth in real life. Female Burmese cat, his sister, no interest at all. She was, however, highly intelligent…..and a fierce hunter of mice in real life.

      • My grandmother had a beautiful Burmese who she wore as a kind of scarf, as he was almost permanently draped round her shoulders. Beautiful cats, Burmese and not as vocal or demanding as Siamese which my mother always had. Terriers when I was a child were used as pest control. I remember the Rat Man who came to clear our outbuildings of rats would smoke them out and the Jack Russells would dutifully and enthusiastically finish them off. Used for rabbiting also.

    I couldn’t find much information on Neptune-Uranus aspects barring few generic astrology websites.

    Can you please shed light on these two planets when these two are in conjunction, opposition and mutual reception (Neptune in Aquarius and Uranus in Pisces) in a birth chart?
