Malcolm-Jamal Warner, the American actor, musician and poet best known for his role in the Cosby Show had drowned while on vacation in Costa Rica, apparently dragged out to sea while swimming by a strong current.
He was born August 18, 1970 at 2.43 am Jersey City, New Jersey, named after Malcolm X, and had an upfront, vibrant Sun Mars in Leo square Neptune in his creative and performing 5th house and square Saturn in Taurus. He had a full 4th house of family and childhood with an intense, controlling Mercury Pluto in late Virgo conjunct an unpredictable Uranus and Venus in Libra as well as Jupiter in Scorpio.
His 9th house Moon in Pisces was unaspected which would make him feel disconnected and can be emotionally disorganized and vulnerable. His Moon was very much to the forefront when he died with his Progressed Moon exactly conjunct his natal Moon. And when his chart is relocated to Costa Rica near Limon it put his Moon exactly conjunct the Midheaven.
I have no idea why that should be accident prone in itself. But in addition his 4th house Pluto opposition the shipwrecking Scheat in his 10th was due for a shake-up from the September Solar Eclipse. And his Progressed Mars was sitting on his Mercury/Pluto midpoint, sending vibrations ahead to the conjunction with Pluto which is accident prone.
When he died around 2pm on July 20 the Gemini Moon conjunct Hyades was on the Descendant. Hyades according to Dark Star Astrology is stormy and; “give tears, sudden events, violence, – and contradictions of fortune.”

He had SA Pluto squaring his Mars suggesting the possibility of an accident prone, personally demanding, or life-changing period. Potential that may have been intensified/triggered with transiting Mercury conjunct his Mars and turning retrograde three days before the accident, on July 17.
I think the progressed Moon conjuct his Pisces moon was accident prone, Pisces itself relates to water. In Astrology, since he was a Leo, when there are planets in Pisces they always mean a dangerous time. Same as Scorpio people, Aries transit is a dangerous time fir them, it is a time when they must always be careful, avoid high risk sports or dangerous places. And vice versa with Aries people and Scorpio planets. Same as Libra and Gemini, Gemini is a dangerous zone for Librans, Netanyahu and Putin must be careful now since Uranus is traveling in Gemini. The list is endless. I think it is not a coincidence that Malcolm-Jamal met his untimely death when his natal Pisces moon was conjuct progressed moon in Pisces.
Interested to know why these signs in relation to each other indicate ‘dangerous times’. I’ve never heard that before. The Aries-Scorpio connection just maybe, but Libra-Gemini? I thought as trines they like each other?
I was telling someone the other day that Astrology is more like mathematics, there are no therefore”s, if x = y then you conclude y = x, not always the case. What i wrote above about dangerous times has to do with houses, placements and detriments. The more you learn about Astrology that is the better you will understand it, yes Lbra, Gemini and Aquarius are air signs and favour each other, but not necessarily if you look deeper into Astrology. For example if you take Scorpio and Pisces transits, that means wealth and abundance for a Scorpio person. And you take Sagittarius and Taurus transits, that also means wealth and abundance for a Sagittarius person, thats some examples. This has to do with house placements. I would have loved to explain even more but it will take me pages and pages to write everything down. Some of the more effective ways of learning Astrology is by reading a lot, and study people’s birth chart’s and pattern of events in their lives.
What notable astrology he had around his passing. The stuff involving his moon made me feel helpless about his passing, but impressed with astrology in general. RIP Sir.

With his relocated Moon conjunct the Midheaven, his death, unfortunately, brought him back to prominence.

M-J W had a recurring role on 9-1-1 during the 6th or 7th season and had been on The Resident ended after six seasons in 2023.

Just seeing his photos in the news cycle I was struck by his appearance of vibrant health. Sorry that Mars didn’t save him.
A summer swimming lesson for all, esp hearing water injury cited as a top cause of accidental death. Another swimmer was caught in the riptide too, and last I heard hospitalized in critical condition.
The other stand out in the small coverage I caught was an interview clip where he states whenever death might come he could go in peace knowing he had not brought harm to others. Seems to chime w a Pisces moon, and certainly the Christ vibration associated with that symbol of infinite fish.
Such a deep and wonderful actor. I loved watching him as A J Austin in the resident – stole every scene he was in. Beautiful soul that came across on the screen.
