Benjamin Netanyahu, despite a deluge of criticism about corruption as well as civilian suffering/ collateral damage in Gaza and extremist settlers taking over land in the West Bank unchecked, is on a roll. Having inflicted significant damage on Hezbollah in Lebanon and on Hamas, both Iranian proxies, he is now intent on going for the jugular with wholesale attacks on Iran itself.
His Term chart, 29 December 2022 4.30pm Tel Aviv, had Neptune on the Midheaven which is normally not a helpful placing politically but it also has Jupiter Moon in the 10th square the Sun so confidence and luck were never going to be in short supply; especially with Moon Jupiter being sextile Pluto on one side and Mars on the other – ie. midway between a ruthless, devious Mars trine Pluto. With a hidden Mars in the 12th being further emphasized on the focal point of a yod inconjunct Sun sextile South Node in Scorpio.
It is not an obvious chart – you have to search amongst the undergrowth to find the determination and aggression which is there. But there was never any doubting the emotional overload with Pluto Venus Mercury conjunct in the 7th house of partners and enemies.
Tr Saturn Neptune are conjunct the Term Jupiter and then Moon now and into 2026 which could bring delusional optimism and then discouragement but there is nothing obvious showing an exit point. There will be highs and successes as well as stress points over the winter with more jeopardy from late April 2026 onwards into 2027 with the Mars/Pluto midpoint being undermined. But also confidence and luck as well.
What I wonder about is his relationship chart with Israel, which is showing high tension as tr Uranus moves into Gemini next month and it squares the composite Saturn into 2026 as well. January to mid March 2026 there will be high-risk, insecurity and anger expressed with tr Uranus square the composite Mars. Late October 2025 to late January 2026 also look nerve-stretched and extremely uneasy.
And into 2026 tr Pluto starts to oppose the 10th house Leo Moon for two years which hints at a mutinous electorate as well as pressure for change at the top.
His own chart, 21 October 1949 10.15 am Tel Aviv, does have his Solar Arc Midheaven conjunct his Ascendant around now which does suggest he is at his zenith in terms of career and image. His Progressed Moon is continuing through his 8th which suggests an intense struggle for another 18 months or so. Birth time being accurate his Solar Arc Uranus will conjunct his Midheaven in 2026 for a change of life/career direction, though timing could put it out by a year or so). He does have a panicky Mars midpoint January 2026 to mid March. And the February 2026 Solar Eclipse in late Aquarius will oppose his Mars (and Trump’s) for an argumentative few months (!)
He has two fortunate Jupiter midpoints flagged up for 2026/27 as well. Two astro points of note. One is that his Uranus at 4 degrees Cancer will be squared by tr Neptune Saturn in 2026 (and by Neptune in 2027) which will be nerve-stretched and could make him more intransigent (and irrational). And that four degree Cardinal point appears on various related charts so June 2026 onwards will be worth watching. What will shake him to the core is his Progressed Mars squaring his Uranus from late 2026 on the degree, and extending on through 2027/28 – which looks high-risk and nerve-shredding.
[There is something very 8th house about all of this mess – Israel has an 8th house Taurus Sun.
“The eighth house is associated with entanglements, power games, boundary crossings, or dealing with taboos.”
“It is almost impossible to differentiate between good and evil, black and white, hero and villain. Things are muddled and mixed up.”

FT: “A protracted war of the cities” will be hard for either side to sustain should the US stay on the sidelines or peace talks failed to resume. A US intervention could be decisive, bringing bunker-busting ordnance, unavailable to the IDF, that are powerful enough to penetrate Fordow, a nuclear facility buried under a mountain.
While Israel can inflict more pain on Iran, the Islamic republic showed an ability to absorb huge losses during an eight-year war with Iraq in the 1980s.
William Hague The Times: June 17 2025
Keeping Iran nuclear-free is likely to require cycles of future war or years of diplomacy
By last week, an Israeli attack on Iran was easier to justify than at any previous time. The Iranians were deceiving international inspectors and, in all probability, moving to nuclear “breakout”. The circumstances warranted action. But it is important never to forget that Netanyahu’s preference for force over diplomacy at all times has been an important factor in creating those alarming circumstances. If the JCPoA of 2015 had been supported by Netanyahu and upheld by Trump, the danger to Israel would today be far less serious and today’s war would not be happening.

Benjamin Netanyahu’s chart – other than the obvious Mars Pluto conjunct in Leo – looks benign, as if he’d be quite a pleasant chap. On the other hand, that can’t be said about his wife Sara Netanyahu, whose chart was examined here in December 2024. Could that be worth another look considering the monstrous escalation of present circumstances?
Another conflict with no one to cheer for, and much for the world to lose.
This appears to be the theme of these times, unlike WWII.
Were it any other Israeli leader than Netanyahu, the world might be willing to believe in the morality of a ‘pre-emptive’ strike. Certainly Iran, since Trump’s first term, has made clear its nuclear intent, and has also crushed internal dissent. But I also remember a similar excuse (WMDs) for the war in Iraq which was based on false data, and ended up causing more harm as chaos spread, possibly helping lead to the rise of the right wing in Europe – regardless of the cruelty of the Hussein regime. It therefore seems tied to Trump’s second term – and his supporters are divided on a war (direct or not) with Iran. I’d guess that if the US gets involved it will be by providing armament (as with Gaza) and if a ‘win’ is guaranteed, as Trump hates to lose. And he cares much more about lining his pockets, currently through various middle East enterprises etc.
While this might help Israel’s immediate security (tho the latest analyses are that it did not strike deep enough into the nuclear facilities, while Iran has been able to penetrate the Iron Dome), it is unlikely to effect regime change if that was Israel’s longer term goal.

Israel’s Channel 14, which is close to Netanyahu, reports Israel is preparing the Dahiyeh Doctrine for Iran — large-scale destruction of civilian infrastructure, as it did in Lebanon.

A 2.5 magnitude earthquake was reported at the location of the Fordow nuclear site.
Trump, Netanyahu and Viktor Orbán all have Mars at 27-28 Leo. Is this only spooky or is this a sensitive astrological point? My feelings and hopes are the same for all three of them.
I got it: Fixed star Alphard. “Mars conjunct Alphard: Trouble and scandal through love affairs. Attachment to a married person. …the danger of serious accidents; if afflicting luminaries, the danger of death by drowning or poison.
This conjunction brings out the dynamo in the native. Properly directed it brings them to leadership. However, the native may bring on sorrows and possibly scandals due to their actions. These natives are generally daring and foolhardy, defiant and stubborn. Turbulence and sublime illness possible.” (Astrology King)
Thanks AM, for linking the connection. I’m increasingly leaning into the significance of fixed stars. Always enjoy reading their interpretations.
@Caroline, I have just started paying proper attention to fixed stars too. Based on this and previous conversations I feel that we have a few things in common. 🙂
On one hand, Netanyahu is facing down the threat posed by Iran and its proxies; not only to Israel, but also the wider world. And it must not be forgotten that Iran has been a supporter of Russia since its illegal invasion of Ukraine, more than three years ago. But lurking in the background is the knowledge that he needs to stay in power in order to avoid the risk of ending up in prison, because of past deeds. The big question is, will Israelis continue to support him now their homes and families are on the receiving end of Iranian attacks?
Iran was pretty much under control after Obama’s nuclear deal but Bibi didn’t want that because he knows like America, Israel (and he) need an enemy to project onto.
Of course one of the first things that Trump did during his first term was to scuttled Obama’s Iran nuclear deal and that delighted Bibi because he could tell Israeli civilians that Iran was close to developing a bomb–something he’s been squawking about for the past decade and a half.
Now that the die has been cast let’s see how it works out long term for Israel since they have fallen time and again for Bibi’s fearmongering.
Iran really is close to making a nuclear bomb. The AIEA says it isn’t complying with its commitments. Get your facts straight. The delusions of the left are never-ending. That’s why we end up with Trump.
Delusions?
Bibi has been making that claim for almost two decades…blah, blah, blah!!!
Iran was complying under Obama’s nuclear deal, but Trump scuttled it because he hates Obama, and Netanyahu wanted it gone so he could use it to keep Israel under his grip of fear.
We ended up Trump because Republicans are experts at manipulating people’s basest emotions.
Get YOUR facts straight.
Are they 40 mns from a WMD!!. Really!?Go look up who the people at IAEA are. These are not to do with delusions of right or left just facts and agendas. This is not to say the regime isn’t atrocious in Iran, only that the west is expert at generating even worse regimes to replace.
