Prince Harry – tilting at windmills ++ relocated California

Prince Harry.  Sigh. Again. What’s to say?  An intense and nervy 8th house Virgo Sun square an outspoken, irascible Mars in Sagittarius with Mercury square a speak-before-think Uranus. A head-in the-clouds, overly hopeful, unrealistic Neptune Jupiter in the 12th. A fixated Pluto Saturn in Scorpio.  And at 41 he still hasn’t managed to find a way of pulling it all together and take responsibility for living his own life.

He must represent a part of the national UK psyche with his Capricorn Ascendant closely conjunct the UK Sun and IC; and his Taurus Moon in the UK 8th opposition his Midheaven plugging into the UK’s Fixed Grand Cross.

The Harry/UK relationship chart does have a ‘chained-together and resenting it’ composite Saturn square Pluto; with an argumentative Mars trine Mercury. There’s nothing to suggest the mood on either side will calm down anytime soon with more flare-ups come this June and on into 2026 with tr Uranus square the composite Mars; and tr Neptune Saturn undermining the Saturn square Pluto  for the next two years.

Three points of astro-interest: The tr Saturn Neptune will square his Neptune Jupiter now till late 2026 which could, maybe let some reality into his dream world or leave him more confused than ever.

Tr Saturn is aiming to leave his 2nd house, the nadir of his First Quadrant, so he will/should be turning his mind to the life he needs to build when tr Saturn crosses his IC by 2030.

His 4th house North Node in Taurus suggests he needs to get off his skyscraper and delusions of grandeur to start building a proper emotional foundation for himself – tr Uranus conjunct his North Node this year into early 2026 will be another prompt. Though whether he takes it on board or not is questionable.  His midpoints ahead for three or four years ahead look tough. By 2027 he will be questioning his marriage with tr Saturn square his Sun/Moon midpoint at the same time Meghan is doing the same with tr Uranus square her Sun/Moon.

Relations with his father will trail on in a ragged fashion with only odd blips of cheer but mainly not.

His obsession with his mother Princess Diana continues to rule his mindset – and that intensely emotional and idealized bond will subtly alter from 2026  to 2029. Their relationship chart had composite Moon trine Venus trine Neptune with Moon opposition Pluto – affectionate, illusory, possessive. Tr Saturn Neptune in Aries will soften the control her memory has over him and perhaps allow a more reasoned, mature approach as it moves round that composite Kite. Maybe.

Diana’s Mars Pluto in Virgo and Uranus all fell in Harry’s 8th and her Venus in Taurus was conjunct his Moon – so it was a deep, disturbing and affectionate connection.

In some ways he is like his father with a Taurus Moon, Venus in Libra, Scorpio planets and both have Mars in Sagittarius. But there’s not much sign that is bringing them together. Tr Uranus will cross the composite Ascendant on their relationship chart in 2026 but whether trickster Uranus  brings a turning point or blasts them further apart is not clear. Tr Neptune Saturn square the composite Jupiter in 2025/26 hints at disappointment between them.

The never ending saga and such a waste. He was a great asset for wounded soldiers with Invictus and could have made a huge difference being involved in Africa and the Commonwealth. Manicured California is hardly his scene.

Add On: Harry’s chart relocated to Montecito may put a charming Venus on the Ascendant but the rest of it is not what any astrologer would recommend. A hidden 12th house Sun might give him a chance to take a breather in a quiet backwater; but his Taurus Moon and North Node in the 8th will exacerbate all his intense over-reactions where money and relationships are concerned. He needs, needs, needs without limit and will be constantly demanding – he wants it all.

The lesson of the 8th house NN is to learn self-discipline and self-control. He needs to learn to walk lightly and above all else not to look back. Tugs of war over money are likely. A NN in Taurus is anyway overly defensive and does not understand moderation; and has a tendency to assume everyone is plotting and planning with ulterior motives.  ‘He will make much growth when he is able to see the actions of others as reflections of his own subconscious.’

  Ways to go methinks.

  1. The Moon, representing his mother, appears to be the driver of his chart. It is in Taurus on the IC near Algol and the NN and opposite Saturn in Scorpio, his father’s Sun sign, which would bring great sadness in real and imagined relations with and between his parents. Saturn reaching his IC in 2030 will be a major turning point in his relationship with his family trauma. Until then, Saturn entering the 3rd house brings even more strain in his relationship with his brother and more damaging public statements as his father’s reign moves closer to the end.

In the 2030s, when Uranus enters Cancer in his 7th house opposite the UK Sun and IC, he will be all set to become the country’s leading republican. I believe his destiny is to play a key role in the abolition of the monarchy in 2036. With his Sun in the 8th square Neptune in the 12th inconjunct the Moon, he may then play out his subconscious fantasies and what he may think will be his mother’s wishes from beyond. He may come to consider that his life’s purpose, which he is now struggling to accept in great anger and confusion, is to be Diana’s knight and great historic avenger. He is his brother’s king-slayer.

  2. “Dad, any chance we can come to Balmoral for Christmas and bring the kids you’ve never seen? While I know I have concerns about security, if we’re all there together I know we’ll be safe as you’ll be receiving the highest level possible.” His arguments just don’t hold water to me.

I find people who have Earth sign moons and baggage – incredibly difficult because the nature of earth is not to step beyond its comfort zone.

I actually question that Moon in Taurus is exalted in this day and age. I can see in olden paternalistic times when getting enough food, comfort and sex were the only things which mattered, it would have made sense. But modern days with equality and respecting each other – if you can’t move on from your baggage you end up blaming, complaining, resentful and angry like Harry.

    • If only it could be as easy as that. He and his wife have made a small fortune with books and interviews. Safeguarding against any further treachery will likely be high on the agenda of future possible interactions. Iron clad nondisclosure agreements will likely figure into things, long before sitting down to Sandringham Christmas lunch.

It seems like the King has dodged quite the bullet with them bolting from the UK years ago. Just imaging if Meghan and Harry had stayed any longer. They’d have had so many more stories to sell.

  3. If Harry’s chart is relocated to California shouldn’t the Time Zone be Pacific Daylite Time instead of a London Time Zone?????

  4. Does relocating his chart to monteceito add anything? I thought that currently he had his sun in the 12th? Could that have made him more spiritual or perhaps paranoid? Of was that me when Pluto went through my 12th a bit of just because you’re paranoid doesn’t mean they aren’t out to get you!!

  5. And when his marriage hits choppy waters – as many astrologers have previously predicted it will – he is left in no-man’s land. He could have been such an asset to the Royal Family and the UK, but those days are probably gone for ever.

  6. Thanks Marjorie. I feel sorry for him, he’s so lost and troubled. Interesting what you say about his links with the UK’s chart too – I think he’s homesick for this (Europe/UK) side of the planet, alongside missing family and old friends. Does a Taurus Moon at the IC need to feel familiar earth beneath its feet?

A query – I’d seen tr Venus and Neptune conjunct Harry’s BML at 1 Aries, and speculated about what this might mean or manifest. I see this chart here has BML at 12 Aries? Astrodienst and Astro-Seek both show 1 Aries for BML, unless I’m reading the glyph wrongly? Prince William’s BML is 0 Capricorn, exactly opposite his Cancer Sun, so also having a visit from Neptune in Aries, and then Saturn.

I agree its all a waste. I had such high hopes for the positive role H&M could play as ‘working Royals’.

    • 4 Liliths
      Mean Lilith – Black Moon
      Mean Lunar Apogee Aries (1°09’)
True Lilith – Black Moon Aries (12°48’)
      Asteroid Lilith Libra (22°15’)
      Waldemath Dark Moon Taurus (27°54’)

  7. Being a second son is never easy, and being a Royal surely underscores the relatively disadvantage. I’m sure Marjorie’s looked at it before, but longer term, I’m more interested in Harry’s relationship with his older brother than with his father.

    • Come to think of it, I thought the two brothers went along so well. And with Kate they were a cute trio and had all those actions regarding mental health and what not. Then it’s as if suddenly a dam burst and, turns out, he had years of resentment against the brother. I’m in shock.

  8. Also with Prince Harry, what if he has no tools in his arsenal that could help him take that leap towards maturity? It is similar to explaining to someone who has the narcissistic syndrome that he is a narcissist – you cannot do that because he or she will not understand what you are telling them (and will worsen your relationship further). It is as if you tried to bake bread in a washing machine or fitting a size 46 shoe into a 36 and stubbornly, persistently and absolutely unawarely of oneself trying to do so , or making work any such other nonsensical combination.

  9. I am always reminded of your comment about Princess Margaret not to long ago about how she was whiny yet had all the resources in the world to make of herself what she wanted – so that leads me to asking how is it that royal families (but not all, it could tentatively be said), with all the army of psychologists and other support staff available, in this day and age, couldn’t produce psychologically healthy and grounded adults in whichever circumstances they were born? Because I think it is possible.

I also wonder if Elizabeth could have been thought of as a “bad” and “damaging” parent – maybe only Ann is, at least seemingly, not damaged, maybe Edward as well? – and then if she were such a mother, how come, because her parents didn’t seem bad in that regard?

Can anybody make sense of this?

    • Hm not sure the Queen (Eliz 11)’s parents were that sound – mother was described as ‘an old fascist’, not pro-Nazi but she got her own way and then some. Queen Elizabeth relaxed noticeably after she died. Father George V1 was prone to violent outbursts of petulant temper. Prince Philip had a traumatic childhood.
I am a huge believer in necessity being a great teacher and unfortunately being brought up with everything laid on is not on the whole conducive to maturity.
I would not volunteer for a Royal lifestyle since it has multiple downsides. But with the privilege comes responsibility which Q Eliz 11 understood well. Harry seems to want it all.

      • I was missing those bits, because I thought George was a warm father and mother was known as a lover of alcohol, but I somehow figured only in later years. They were in a lot of ways, and how they behaved in certain years, loved by their country, so I guess she learnt a thing or two about duty from them.

It’s in many ways a terrible thing, one could argue, to be born into such a lifestyle, yet there are many upsides, but they weirdly do not get used. I’m also always surprised that the royal family never really insisted on their offspring getting some stellar education.

      • I think, in fairness, we should reflect on George V1’s childhood -his father said words to the effect that he was terrified of his father and he intended that his children should feel the same about him. His stutter was a massive problem – for which his wife found the solution. Without her support the King would have been in difficulty – Hitler said her popularity made her “The most dangerous woman in Europe”. The present King adored her and would have been sent to Eton, next to Windsor, not Gordonstoun which he hated, if she not Philip had prevailed.

      • As I understood it at the time, The Queen Mother plotted with Lady Ruth Fermoy (Lady-in-Waiting and Diana’s grandmother) for Charles and Di to be pushed together. Charles’ age and lack of suitable marriage partners was an embarrassment to the QM and she was anxious for him to be married and producing heirs. Diana was seen as highly suitable and had no previous boyfriends to mar the virginal image that the QM demanded. The rest is history. I’ve always laid that marriage’s problems at those two interfering women’s doors.

        • With Diana, one aspect that always fascinated me is that people usually think and speak she wanted to change the monarchy and such stories. But she came from one of the most famous earldoms in the country, and it’s not like she didn’t know a whole lot about the ways of the aristocracy.
