Chris Eubank Jr versus Conor Benn tonight has boxing fans enthralled as the bitter rivals face up to each other 35 years after their respective fathers punched it out with Eubank Snr emerging the winner.
The Juniors were due to fight two and a half ago but that was cancelled at the last minute because Benn failed two drugs tests.
It is all the more tense since Conor Benn has an undefeated record to defend and has publicly said his father does not support him.

Interesting – thanks Marjorie. Barry Hearn was definitely an innovator when he set up the snooker matchroom mob in the mid 80s and I’d guess you need the gift of the gab to talk up your fights. I’m not entirely sure what a promoter does but I think they essentially are project managers who bring together sponsors, fighters, venues etc and then take a slice.
The chart between the Eubanks is certainly tough with that Saturn opposite his son’s Sun. Didn’t realise Snr is born then – it’s a week after one of my best friends who has Aqua moon and that Jupiter-Mars-Venus stellium in Cancer. My friend is one of the kindest people I know – probably at the expense of himself. Doesn’t dress flamboyantly like Chris Sr though, and I’d have to suspect that flamboyance is his Leo planets and Aries/Taurus moon trying to distract from all the sensitivity of the Cancer planets.
