Russia – approaching the witching hour

All eyes are on Russia with the upcoming Saturn Neptune conjunction, a marker of the 1917 Bolshevik Revolution, of Stalin’s death in 1953 and the break up of the USSR in 1990. If the same astro-pattern holds good then Saturn overtaking Neptune will be the crucial period which means mid 2026 to early 2027.

That coincides with flags on several of the related charts.

The Russia 8 December 1991 7.45pm Moscow chart, has a ‘shocking’, explosive, insecure Solar Arc Mars conjunct Uranus mid to late 2026, followed by an equally edgy tr Uranus opposition the Russia Mars in 2027/28.

The Russia 8 November 1917 chart hints at a considerable setback now; a stroke of luck in late 2025 from SA Uranus conjunct the Jupiter; and a similar as above sudden shock tr Uranus square Mars in 2026/27.

Both charts are showing stress on their respective financial Venuses through 2025/2026.

Vladimir Putin’s original presidency chart of 31 December 1999 looks due for a major upset late 2025 into early 2026 with Solar Arc Uranus square the Pluto. That could see him topple off his perch (though Kim Jong Un survived through one of these aspects years ago when he very nearly lost control). If that does not do for Putin then the Solar Arc Pluto conjunct the Sun by 2027 could well see him hit the buffers.

His personal chart, 7 October 1952, is showing alarm at a setback exactly now as Syria’s Assad collapses.

The Bank of Russia chart 13 July 1990 has been under pressure in the past two years from tr Pluto square the Mars and will continue on edge throughout this year.

  1. Turning to an argument of Putin potentially having a new girlfriend: She is Ekatarina Mizulina, born September 1st 1980. She is daughter of Yelena Mizulina, politician and history/law (interestingly, these faculties have been joined in Russian system since the Imperial times) professor behind many anti-LGBT laws. Ekatarina herself head organizations nominally dealing with internet security, but really just censorship tools. She also was the head of National Center for Children’s Assistance for some years, and got encaged in some custody battles.

I wonder if Putin will go full Berlusconi, his presumed fellow Sun Libran. Silvio Berlusconi’s first two wives were somewhat private, and not really that political to begin with, although Veronica Lario later developed a political profile. After the split from Lario, her two last domestic partners, Francesca Pascale and Marta Fascina were/are in politics. Putin’s latest partner Alina Kabayeva was a member of Duma from 2007 to 2014, but the relationship was kept secret. I’m wondering whether a lady friend with a high public figure might actually become a “first lady” and even a potential successor in Putin’s mind.

  2. One quick observation is that the Saturn-Neptune conjunction appears to have affected Russia only in recent years; 1881 (assassination of Alexander III), 1917, 1953 and 1989. I could not find comparable events in Russia for Saturn-Neptune conjunctions before 1881.

Have all these Saturn-Neptune conjunctions occurred in certain specific signs (Earth/Water/Fire/Air, mutable/cardinal/fixed, etc)? When is that streak going to come to an end?

  3. On the day of the next Saturn/Neptune conjunction (20 Feb. 2026) Pluto will be at 4 degrees 18 of Aquarius – opposite the 1917 Saturn/Neptune conjunction.

  4. The articles I’ve reading about how Russia failing to support Assad in Syria has weakened its position and Ukraine war isn’t going well, do suggest the astrology is about to be spot on.

  5. Did you see UK censorship dropped, partially, on Russia Today and Sputnik after the Russians dropped the Syrian hot potato in the laps of the British. The news channels are now open to democratically view in the UK for the first time in 2 years. Such news censorship in a supposed First World country is beyond extraordinary. But there again British exceptionalism and attacks on Freedom of Speech and promotion and arming of genocides and paralysing of International Law all seems to be on view as ‘the new normal’. Russia Today YouTube is still being censored. YouTube was the greatest threat to the British because of the 11 billion views, excellent investigative journalism that we used to have in the 80s in the UK with World In Action and Panorama before it became the echo chamber of corporate disinformation it is now. The Anti-Zionst American Jewish journalists of RT and RT America explaining in layman’s terms the establisment’s scams like Quantative Easing, Factoryless Manufacturing and Censorship seemed to rattle and was actually quite dangerous information for the public to consume, maybe. So whether we can be allowed to democratically choose our journalism on YouTube as well in the First World Countries without their blanket censorship of information, well, that remains at the whim and fear of the corridors of power. The censorship of the Isle is beyond a joke. BBC have been crying already that they need more money because people prefer Russia Today and PressTV. But more money just means more disinformation that nobody wants to waste time consuming or opening websites or tellies for. Fingers and toes crossed RT America and RT YouTube can give us some proper investigative journalism again that the public, 11 billion views of them, seemed interested in… Here’s hopin’!

    • Troll farms shouldn’t need Google Translate, surely. Times must be really hard.

Any comment on how Saturn-Neptune in 2025/6 will change Russia? It appears to be a pivotal time, given the effects of the conjunctions of the last century alone.

      • Spot on response! A quick check on many UK sites in the past week, shows a great deal of activity from St Petersburg and beyond. I think this should be taken as a sign of growing insecurity! Perhaps Doreen has a view on the astrological predictions of Lev Gumilev; a guiding light in Putin’s view of the world and his own destiny.

        • It’s classic Russian propaganda, isn’t it, not the least subtle. It reminds me of the glossy Russian propaganda magazines I used to read in the ’60s in high school.

        • When people start praising Putin (‘well at least he’s a strong leader’) and Russia (‘at least they don’t have immigrants’), you only have to say ‘but would you want to live there?’ and that always shuts them up.

  6. Same as India as another tyrant looks upto Putin ..Putin has this awe effect on insecure undeserving over ambitious men that they revere him …every tyrant wants to b him…Hitler is no longer their idol

  7. Putin appeared in public today for his annual live Q&A session. He looked rather good – so good indeed that I wonder whether he went through some sort of a cosmetic operation during the time he wasn’t seen in public.

Usual lies were told, but I find the most revealing part being those on economy. Framing the fact hundreds of thousands of working age men either dying or being injuried as a downtick in unemployment is likely the darkest thing I’ve ever heard.

Also, from Telegram channels it’s now emerging that the middle class, relatively untouched by the war up until now, is starting to see the effects. They are employed, but not receiving salaries. This will more likely than not continue next year, and put Putin’s social contract with Russians to a serious test.

          • @Virgoflake and larryc, yes, mini-facelift, lipo on neck area, fillers. Apperently, this is a regime many Hollywood stars and other celebrities have gone through as of late.

It’s also rumored he split with Alina Kabeeva earlier this year, and is now seeing Ekaterina Mizulina of the National Center for Children’s Assistance fame. I remember this lady slamming Finnish child services for forcibly taking children from their Russian parents, another “blame others of the things you are doing” move, given how Russia has kidnapped Ukrainian children. So, that could contribute to his upbeat appearance, too, I remember the exact same thing happening when he started the affair with Kabeeva.

Tells me he likely really is a Libra Sun, even if the date or even year of birth weren’t correct. There are shades of Silvio Berlusconi here.

          • It’s a rather pathetic sight, all these old man dictators desperately trying to cling on to their long lost youth with their badly stitched nips and tucks, mortuary make up and boot polish hair.

      • Blood transfusion. Young blood into old body. I thought Trump had one too the week before the election. Went from tired & haggard to blooming.

  8. In Putin’s biwheel, natal inner, Age Harmonic for 72 yrs, outer. Emphasis is on Houses, 7, 12, the Ukrainian opposition forces. They are causing him
money, House 2, army injuries, House 6, and career status opinion, via
Sun aspecting House 10. Russia falls in his 6th, army fatalities/injuries.
