  1. What was the Star of Bethlehem, “https://www.space.com/star-of-bethlehem”

Somewhat wordy/rambling explanation from astronomy and astrological concensus.

    Curious reading.

  2. Just a remark prompted by a sentence in the Times. It pointed out that weight loss drugs such as Ozempic/Wegovy, were not even on anybody’s radar a mere two years ago, but are rapidly becoming a part of people’s daily lives.
Likewise AI clients like ChatGPT and Google’s Gemini were very much in their conception or in private testing, two years ago. And yet now they are in main stream usage to the point of professors and education providers trying to figure out how to prevent their misuse in exams.
Science is racing along at a breathtaking rate in new and unexpected ways as we enter the Age of Aquarius or Pluto in Aquarius (take your pick).
Apologies for the non-astrological comment, Marjorie. It just appeared to me that so many disparate stories are flowing in the same direction at the same time now.

    • There was a very interesting article in the Guardian about the whole AI thing in higher education – particularly the typical sort of student who uses (misuses) it and the circumstances that lead them there. As someone who has been in higher education in two different centuries I can see both sides of this (it was an eye opening experience in many ways). I have also been involved in teaching and counselling.

There is no doubt that elements of higher education are far more depersonalised now and the assessments are far more rigid than they used to be – which has worried me a bit. There is less room for originality and less tolerance for different perspectives. Part of me thinks that if a machine is able to get through these assessments better than a human, then are we really assessing students in the right way, rewarding compliance over deep understanding? In the pursuit of objectivity and accreditising people, something has been lost and it’s gone on for too long. I think it was lost during Neptune in Aquarius and Pluto is waking us up to it – but not before demonising people before trying to understand them. Technology is only successful when it fulfils a need – so what void is it filling?

  3. Wanted to wish Marjorie and all a Happy Christmas & New Year or just a lovely ordinary day on 25th December, depending on how you roll. Thank you for all the hard work on this site.
I’ve been a reader for many years, possibly since the last millennium although I can’t quite remember when it started. Unfortunatly I’ve never learnt a jot about astorology lol 🙂 but I enjoy reading about everybodies interpretations.
    Seasons Greetings to all!

  4. Looks like the US Government may shut down. We are calling it the Musk Shutdown. Musk seems to be calling the shots. Some fools are talking about making him the speaker of the house.

    What Is Happening?

  5. Interesting video here from Rick Beato – who really knows about music – discussing how once you get into the past decade or so; and streaming took over there is no single dominant genre in music. In astrological terms, it really chimes with the Uranus/Neptune in Aqua/Pisces and how they break down the corporate structures and make everything to be egalitarian/unique/personal for individuals/oneness.

      • It wasn’t so much about him, more about what he was saying really highlights about changes in music reflect the astrology.

Aside from his opinion pieces, he does some good interviews with musicians and his breakdowns of classic songs are highly insightful for someone like myself with no musical education

  6. Lord Mandelson is expected to be appointed US ambassador by Keir Starmer. Wondering what lies ahead for him. His natal chart is littered with planets on midpoints, almost all planet degrees in the 20s. Thank you, Marjorie.

      • I was curious about this news too VF. Although I think the US can refuse if they want to make waves? Anyway, I read Marjorie’s post from 2022 and was amused by this bit:

“Mandelson was born 21 October 1953 – with a chart reasonably similar to Richard 111, the Hunchback King, and to Vladimir Putin if his birthdate is accurate.”

Also, the rest of that post is fascinating, since it discusses Mandelson’s links with Ghislaine Maxwell, Prince Andrew, and the late J. Epstein. Further:

“His relationship chart with Prince Andrew is showing signs of a downhill slide in 2024/25.”

DJT did “promise” to release papers relating to the Epstein case. Obviously, he won’t necessarily keep that promise…..

        • Thank you, Jane. Yes it is curious. I see that Marjorie covered Mandelson in 2022 and will go and have a look. I’ve only just realised he was born at a similar time to Putin, early 1950s and is also a Libran.

          • It is being reported that Lord Mandelson may encounter difficulties with this appointment, as a former Commissioner in the EU they may consider this a conflict of interests and he may lose his pension from the EU. As per The Telegraph.

  7. Luigi has landed – after a
Cessna exceptionally dropped him off on Long Island – 5O miles (!) outside NYC.

Any forecast possible for safety in the city, and the burden on NYPD as the prosecution of Mangione continues?

The P.R. pageantry by city types (Tisch, Adams) plus additional Federal charges of terrorism feels like authorities are unwittingly making it Even Bigger (especially since NYC trials aren’t broadcast)….almost daring rebel voices to rise up.

    • Just hearing:
Trump wanted today’s charges by the feds to uproot Bragg, as payback for his prosecution of T.

T’s recent talk of pardoning Adams, and Bragg’s indictment of Adam’s top aide today fits that opinion.

Now that Mangione is looking more like a political chess piece, what does the astrology show?

Excerpt below from Marjorie’s Dec 7th shooting report https://star4cast.com/usa-healthcare-next-term-turmoil/

…Though I cannot see Trump undermining the insurance billionaires…The Inauguration for 2025,does have a heavily aspected Moon in the 6th house of health….It sits on the focal point of a Cardinal T Square to Mars on the IC (= angry electorate) opposition Mercury. At the very least that suggests rancorous arguments.

The Moon as focal point of a yod does have a potential, if well handled, ultimately to look after the needs of the weaker; and ‘attend to the basic needs of the populace’

It could well be a central focus of the next administration for good or for ill provoking ire.

    • I really am perplexed by all the fuss around Mangione – troubled youth shoots businessman, admittedly in a less than popular business. But so??

      • Hahahaha- just asked a kid (2O something) tonight if her friends talk abt him, as he was on Two magazine covers at the checkout “Na”.

Though media is running w it + NYC brass got ruffled my own take is We Thirsty For A Hero….it’s been a v e r y Trumpy year.

        Happy New, Lady Orr~~~

  8. For those on the “Putin Watch”: He has re-emerged for his annual “Ask the President” Q&A. Looks like he might have had one of those mini-facelifts Hollywood celebs have been having lately, and is lively. But he is clearing his throat and coughing a lot.

  9. Could you look at Angelina Jolie as she is looking at being successful during awards season. When do you see her estate drama with Brad ending? He seems to be undermining her awards campaign.

  10. @Unmystical Mum, for some reason, my Facebook feed is nowadays mostly groups I don’t even belong to discussing lesser known, mainly 19th century Royalty. Just yesterday, I saw a post on Maria Alexandrova, born Marie of Hesse. Somehow, I’ve known relatively little about her, despite her visiting Helsinki and still having a town named after her in Aland Islands. And wow, I was sent to a Wiki rabit hole! She was the aunt of first Lord Mountbatten, and while having lived, herself, virtuously, was with all likelihood illegitimate (you just need to see the potrait of her supposed father and her parents…). Her husband openly lived with his mistress and their children, a story I was familiar through their son Alexander III.

So, the present day royal drama really seems to have nothing on what happened in the 19th or early 20th centuries…

    • Thank you for keeping me in mind on this topic, Solaia.

There appears to be some confusion as to which person you may be referring to as there are three different Marias in the story you’ve mentioned above. If all this is off Facebook, I’m not surprised given the standards of that place.

Maria Alexandrova was the (Russian born) daughter of Alexander II (hence her patronymic of Alexandrova) and Maria of Hesse, who was her mother.

Maria Feodorovna, born Princess Dagmar of Denmark, was the wife of Alexander III and sister-in-law of Maria Alexandrova above. It is she who, along with her husband, who was also Grand Duke of Finland, visited Helsinki and after whom the street in Helsinki is likely named.

Lord Mountbatten’s mother, Victoria of Hesse and by Rhine, was from Hesse, but I’m not sure of the precise relationship between Maria of Hesse and her. Indeed, keep in mind that there was a Kingdom of Hesse and a separate grand duchy of Hesse, and the two ladies above may belong to two separate families/branches of families.

You may have to clarify which of these three ladies was allegedly illegitimate 🙂

      • I apologise for the confusion by my earlier post. It turns out that both mother, Maria of Hesse, and her daughter by Alexander II, were named “Maria Alexandrovna”. I hadn’t realised that there were two of the same name.

Reading up on Maria of Hesse/Maria Alexandrovna (the first?) and her alleged biological father was, at the very least, quite fecund. And he had a taste for royalty/nobility. His wife was descended on both sides from illegitimate or morganatic branches of royal or noble families.

  11. Does anyone have the birth dates of the Alexander brothers?

Orly and Shlomy Alexander would be great too.

Does Pluto in Aquarius announce some kind of reckoning for sexual crimes?

    • O.K., Wiki now has this to say:

“Tal Alexander (born July 5, 1986) and Oren Alexander (born July 2, 1987)…”

Oren and Alon are twins, I think, so same birthdate.

Shlomy seems to have been born in July 1953, but this is not 100% sure.

  12. Marjorie could you look at Lady Mountbatten’s chart in relation to her affair or friendship with the then India’s Jawaharial Nehru PM, whom she met when her husband Lord Mountbatten was the Viceroy of India. Apparently her daughter insisted that it was a deep friendship love. It is a fascinating, almost tantalising piece of history. It appears very topical now.

    • “It appears very topical now.”

      Why is it topical now?

The Mountbattens’ marriage was allegedly quite open and both partners took multiple lovers, of all genders. It was an equal-opportunities, no discrimination marriage.

      • The above mentioned relationship has been in the News in India and some papers within the past week. Regarding her letters to the Indian PM. I asked Marjorie, as it may be interesting to see if it highlights any planetary transits in particular.

  13. Yet another tragic shooting and more deaths, this time at a Christian school in Madison, Wisconsin.

The shooter named as Natalie Rupnow was only 15 yrs old. Early reports (scuttlebutt) were that she was a transgendered “he” and couldn;t cope. Haters gotta hate.

Police seem to know “something” with teasing leads but aren;t sharing much. The parents aren;t being targeted for arrest since so much remains uncertain. Some kind of “manifesto” is circulating on the net…but if it was the shooter’s, still remains unclear.

Some threads I read were citing “God’s will” as the outcome, for not praying hard enough or more intensely enough beforehand. Or not locking down the school beforehand in protective reaction.

Western religion sure has some really bizarre twists to their workings.

More to come … on “the news”.

  14. Marjorie could you look at the chart of Ealing Comedy actress Margaret Rutherford. Her childhood seems to have been very strange living in India, I believe and some relatives committed suicide. Margaret Rutherford was a phenomena yet had a lot of mental illness, so I read. She became famous at such an age and in such a really British eccentric way. It would be interesting looking at her chart.

    • She was also distantly related to Tony Benn the Labour politician. I recall this odd fact because my mother absolutely loathed him in the 1960’s and thought he was barmy and that it ran in the family citing Rutherford as the example! (Funny what sticks in the memory)

    • No birth time but she was of the rather fey Neptune Pluto in Gemini conjunction generation in her case trine Mars in Aquarius. An enduring though stubborn Sun Taurus opposition a Scorpio Moon. Pretty unbudgeable.

    • She’s such an interesting actress. Yes, I think her father was a Benn and suffered from bouts of psychosis. He murdered his own father, before killing himself. Margaret Rutherford appears to have inherited her depression and mental instability from her parents, as her mother hanged herself when little Margaret was just 3 years old. Absolutely tragic for this little girl. Noel Coward helped to propell her into the limelight with her role in ‘Blythe Spirit’ as Madame Arcarti. She suffered also from bouts of limerence, poor lady. I agree, she would be a fascinating subject. One of my favourite comic actresses.

      • Interesting to see Marjorie mention the “fey” airy trine in Margaret’s chart, plus a Scorpio Moon. She had an enduring interest in the paranormal. If you haven’t seen it, I’d recommend The Stately Ghosts of England on Youtube. This was a documentary tv series in 1965. MR, her husband, and a clarivoyant called Tom Corbett, visited three haunted stately homes and explored their ghostly inhabitants. Definitely a museum piece, but most entertaining. MR was a great British institution, terrific actress too.

        • Thanks Jane, didn’t know about that. MR’s chart doesn’t strike me as that of an actor, but Helen’s posts on midpoints have got me thinking about the fact that Margaret Rutherford’s Sun Moon midpoint is in Leo, so Leo’s domain is where MR could shine. Also her marriage was fairly strong, her husband cared about her deeply. Her tendency to limerence, which I feel is something that can happen where an individual does not receive the validation and unconditional love from the parents at that crucial young age, and may be reflected in her airy Mars trine Neptune/Pluto.

Btw, when that difficult Neptune/Pluto conjunction in Gemini opposed Saturn conjunct NN in Sagittarius, Freud’s ‘Interpretation of Dreams’ was published on November 4th 1899. Huge bestseller and we can’t underestimate the effect it had on our culture and thinking.

          • How fascinating about Freud VF. I struggled to read that book more than once. Yes, its effects still linger, and have been absorbed into popular culture in various adulterated forms. A study for someone to undertake in itself!

        • There was a huge rise in interest in spiritualism and paranormal experiences in the 1920s which is generally ascribed to the massive war losses and relatives trying to connect with their loved ones. But it will have been spurred on by the fey Pluto Neptune in Gemini generation born in the 1880s/90s and across the turn of the century.

          • Thanks Marjorie, how interesting – I wonder whether the Pluto in Aquarius and Uranus in Gemini era will prompt some other aspect of that? Ghosts of the future or time travel or something?! I seem to remember Jung writing something about UFO’s being visions of the future. Neptune in Aries could, now and then, be some sort of spiritual warrior figure. Unwanted visions of the supernatural Wild Hunt spring to mind!

          • Jane, the drone sightings strike me as very Pluto in Aquarius with their association with possible enemy espionage. Strange how these phenomena have come into public consciousness since Pluto’s shift into Aquarius.

          • VF – yes I’d been thinking about all those drone sightings too. Remarkable lack of information about who is behind them, but probably unwise to assume a single source. My first bet was on clever, geeky teenagers messing around. Perhaps it will all cease soon, but the way it has been handled is questionable. Also suggests the hidden forces, spies, and even criminal elements of Pluto in general.
