  1. Any astro thoughts on the COP climate summit? Wikipedia lists COP1 as having taken place on March 28 1995 in Berlin.

Might also be interesting to look at COP3 which took place on Dec 1st in Kyoto, Japan which produced the Kyoto Agreement (adopted Dec 11) which for many years seemed like the only meaningful agreement on climate change.

  2. Given the latest Bessent nomination, can somebody remind me if Marjorie went through the whole US economy issue, Fed, dollar, US chart, people involved? It is as if I remember there was a post.

    • “US Dollar” gives me a post from April 2023. Other keywords might be “Fed” and “IMF”. There might be something on New York stock exchange, too.

Personally, I find financial astrology works in mysterious ways. Sometimes, strangely, a good Jupiter passage is the best indicator of incoming issues, because it can lead to overconfidence.

  3. Do you guys think it is possible to learn astrology through book, and to what extent? Can it replace certain degree programs in astrology, for example? And are there any paths you would suggest in this regard?

    • @El Aznar, I’d say most astrologer who are 50ish or older and have been to astrology since the youth started with the books. The very first chart I made for myself was with a harp and ruler using ephemeris, because computer programs were expensive and there was one mail order store you could order chart bases in the country.

At some point, obviously, you need to start applying your knowledge. Fortunately, most of my childhood friends not only went through a “mystic” phase in our teens, but still are very drawn to these subjects. I think it might be Pluto-Neptune sextile, and likely Uranus in Scorpio in our charts. This gave me incentive to learn. Also, circa 2010-12, I had a work community where I would draw people’s charts on breaks (interestingly, astro.com wasn’t banned as “occult” on work laptop :-D). This is when I really started understanding and studying Moon – I’ve since found most people’s “work persona” is ridiculously linked to their Moon, much more so than Sun. People mostly can control their ego (Sun), but the emotional responses you get in group situations are rarely surprising once you know people’s Moon sign, aspects and possibly house.

      • Same generation Solaia. I first got interested around 12 years old using some books my Mum had, one being The Compleat Astrologer and, like you, started hand drawing charts during this mystic phase (I still have my tarot deck from then, still zero skill with it). I picked astro back up early 2000s, then another break, then again in 2016 and it was a whole different world with everything online. I think it is possible to learn from books /what is available online, and I will never stop learning. I admit since switching to reading whole sign around 2019 I feel the courses would be useful to ground that knowledge, but it’s not strictly necessary as I don’t read for others.

      • As I was writing my question, and then after I pressed Send, I kept thinking that Sure, of course you can, but it is that every once in a while I bump onto some peculiarity, an obscure piece of information written nowhere, and that’s when I start doubting that everything is written in the books. Which, of course, right from the start it isn’t, but so much is. So that’s something that keeps me a little thinking, that there are crucial things not yet recorded, but passed person to person. And I was wondering.

    Hi Marjorie,

I was wondering if you would consider doing a write-up one of my all-time favorite avant-garde Icelandic musicians and performing artists, Björk Guðmundsdóttir.

Björk turned 59 years old yesterday and it appears she’s still going strong. According to a recent article from Artnet, Björk is now dabbling in the visual arts and she just created an A.I sound installation exhibit titled “Nature Manifesto” for the Centre Pompidou contemporary art museum in Paris, France. The exhibit features the sounds of endangered and extinct animals.

I’m asking about Björk because I’ve been a fan of hers since the early 1990s. I’ve always been fascinated and intrigued by her artistry and creativity and I’m curious to know what the astrology suggests for her (careerwise) in the near future.

I remember a few astrologers discussing Björk on a forum sometime back and said she had a very interesting chart with many unique aspects and characteristics. They didn’t go into specifics though. So, I’m curious to read your take.

Anything that you can share astrologically about Björk would be much appreciated. And as always, thank you for so much for your daily write-ups.

  5. Bolsonaro indicted for allegedly knowing about the 01/06 style coup attempt after he lost the elections to Lula in 2022 in Brazil. Not a good day for Pluto in Capricorn era leaders, for sure.

From a post here in 21st September 2021:

“His personal chart, 21 March 1955 2.45 pm San Paulo, Brazil, is mired in confusion and devastation from early 2022 to late 2023; with a long run of explosive jolts and jangles which start with tr Uranus conjunct his 10th house Mars from June 2022 onwards and continue on a life-changing ride squaring his Venus and opposing his Saturn in 2023 and then upending his Pluto in 2024. Nothing will be the same after that. 2023 may be the peak of his problems – or the nadir.”

  6. Pluto strikes: Matt Gaetz withdraws his name from consideration to AG after at least parts the House Ethics report Republicans wanted to keep from the public were leaked. I think he was singularly disliked even by the fellow Republicans.

Now, I think Pete Hegseth might do the same for Secretary of Defence position. Media also got the their hands on the police filing of alleged assault. It is triggering even for me, having heard a reliable second hand account of what happened to a co-worker with my most horrible boss ever under similar circumstance (conference, partying).

  7. Marjorie
Right on point as Pluto moved into Aquarius!
Matt Gaetz was forced to withdraw his nomination for attorney general this afternoon despite JD Vance trying to put in a good word it became clear During a meeting with republican senators this afternoon that there was zero chance in succeeding

    • @Anita, took me more time to write what I did, but right? JD has been in politics all of 3 years, counting his campaigning. Put him to the same room with people who might actually have concerns on how this looks to their voters, as well as Democrats actually having learned their lesson and speed tracking all the “Liberal” (I would say just Rule of Law) judges they can, and I know why we know why he looks stressed in the coming months.

I would also be interested at looking at Usha Vance astrologically. She is the true justice nerd of the family, having clerked for then now SCOTUSes Roberts and Kavanaugh, and is an extremely ambitious sounding January 6th 1986 Sun Capricorn.

        • @Amelia Pettyfor, mine too. I had a very superficial look at the planets the day she was born. She is a Scorpio Moon. Many outer planet conjunctions to personal planets.
She is a astro win with Norwegian cross-country skier Petter Northug, who has a record for World Cup start wins, which carry monetary prizes, but only ever took 4 Olympic medals, all from the same 2010 games, then flopped 2014. Top cross-country skiers typically would have a career spanning 3 Olympic Games, but somd top skiers can make their career span from late teens to almost 40. Interesting about Northug is that he loves fast cars, and has a DUI as well as speeding double the limit conviction.

Another astro twin is Irina Shayk, whose dating history is interesting, to put it mildly.

  8. Could you look at John Prescott who has died today please? It would be interesting to look at his relationship with Tony Blair and also whether he would have got on with Keir Starmer.
