Three more possibles for 2020 US Elections – all without birth time so to be treated with a degree of caution. Beto O’Rourke, born 26 September 1972 El Paso, Texas, is an exceptionally determined and confident Sun Pluto in Libra conjunct Mars in late Virgo, all square Jupiter in Capricorn. His Saturn in Gemini is square Mars and which will make him hard-working, short-tempered. His Saturn is also trine Uranus, sextile Venus in sociable Leo – innovative, charming, a good networker.
He’s up and down this year but what will really do for his chances in 2020 is tr Neptune square his Saturn from late April onwards which is uncertain, confused, perhaps a scandal popping up. And from late May 2020 tr Uranus starts to square his Mars/Saturn midpoint which suggests rolling crises. Both these influences run into early 2021.
Jay Inslee, 9 February 1951, Governor of Washington, pro-drug law reform, education, climate change and against the Muslim ban, is a Sun Aquarius opposition Pluto and trine Neptune, so not short of ambition or determination. He’s also got a super-exuberant and compassionate Mars, Jupiter, Venus in Pisces. He has some highs and successes this year but also Neptune tugging away at his confidence all year as well; 2020 is similarly up and down. But there’s nothing spectacularly positive – without a birth time.
John Hickenlooper, 7 February 1952, Colorado Governor, is an even more determined Sun Aquarius opposition Pluto; with a super-charged Cardinal Grand Square of Jupiter in Aries opposition Saturn square Uranus (Moon) in Cancer opposition Venus in Capricorn – bubbling over with initiative, restless, going off in all directions at once. He’s also got a sharp-tongued Mercury in Aquarius square Mars in Scorpio. He looks confused and uncertain through this year with nothing much positive until February 2020 when he gets an a high-octane injection of enthusiasm and maybe success. Though it could be he pulls out through this year and that’s because of other projects.
I have to agree with Mitch Lewis’ assessment, which he sent to his subscribers yesterday: “By now most of you know that Beto O’Rourke has made his decision and announced his candidacy for president. Could he possibly have picked a worst time astrologically? Not only is Mercury in retrograde in Pisces, but this recent New Moon was conjunct Neptune. I don’t think it will go anywhere, and it could wind up creating much confusion and division in the party and do more harm than good. I’m concerned that Joe Biden may also make his announcement on this Retrograde further muddying the waters. I think it’s time for astrology to come into the mainstream and for these people to hire competent readers to help them time their decisions. (For the record, I am available, at the right price. Lol)”
Ditto for Inslee and Hickenlooper. Does anyone know what Democrats are about, other than not-Trump?
I’m not excited about the 2020 U.S. Presidential Election. I’m definitely going to vote (I ALWAYS vote; I vote in every election)…but I’m not feeling very optimistic about 2020. So many astrologers appear to be predicting Trump and the Republicans winning again (which is a HORRIFYING prospect) and there is that Saturn-Pluto conjunction and the US Pluto Return that’s supposed to be present in 2020 – which many interpret as a conservative / Republican takeover.
Last but not least, we have TOO MANY candidates running in the Democratic Primary and the traditional Democratic vote (Democrats like myself) is heavily split between a number of candidates. Joe Biden (who I’m NOT excited about at all) and Bernie Sanders (who I do NOT like) are the only two candidates dominating the crowded field right now. After Beto O’Rourke (another candidate I don’t care for) announced today, Bernie Sanders has jumped ahead in all of the betting markets and his even moved up to a statistical tie with Joe Biden in the polls. Some data wonks (like CNN’s Harry Enten) are basically saying Bernie Sanders is now “destined” to be the Democratic nominee because he’s managed to raise more money and consolidate the youth and progressive vote (ugh!)
I’m voting for Kamala Harris in the Democratic Primary next year. I believe she’s really the best candidate to take on Trump in the general election. However, given such a crowded field, I wonder about her prospects of getting the nomination.
If Bernie Sanders (who is at the very BOTTOM of my list) is “destined” to get the Democratic nomination, then I will vote for him in the general election because I know he’s at least better than Donald Trump and Mike Pence (I HATE Trump and Pence with such an immense passion).
All in all, this election really SUCKS.

I start to really think we can’t use traditional wisdom on 2020 Elections, because of how 2021 Inaugurational Chart looks like. Someone with atrocious transits on November 3rd 2020 might win. What’s interesting about Beto is that now that he is running, Biden likely won’t. And Biden’s chart is looking relatively good late 2020 and early 2021.
That said, launching a campaign with a Mercury Retrograde probably isn’t a good idea at any time.
I so agree with you, Solaia. Am looking more at Putin’s chart at US election time and 2021 inauguration. How happy is he? Then we know which party will win, unfortunately.
Also, with Bernie Sanders, I hope he chooses a strong vice president who would continue his policies. He isn’t looking too good lately. It can’t be easy dealing with all this, even in the preliminary stages, at his age.
Blessings to all the candidates of every party who want the best for us.
