R Kelly is one of the best-selling R&B artists of all time, his CV littered with awards as well as decades of sexual abuse allegations, some involving underage sex, child pornography and a sex cult. A documentary series, Surviving R Kelly, premiered this week and explores the alleged abuses of Kelly (which he denies) through interviews with almost 50 people. It also hammers home the point that his alleged history of predation could not have occurred without a network of support from music industry insiders.
Born 8 January 1967, he’s a Sun Capricorn square Mars in Libra – catching tomorrow’s Capricorn Solar Eclipse for a crisis and a challenge. He’s also got Uranus Pluto in Virgo opposition Saturn in Pisces square Moon in Sagittarius – so emotionally on a knife-edge with tumultuous, erratic and unpredictable feelings. He went through a rough patch in 2016/17 when tr Pluto was conjunct his Sun and square his Mars. I’m not sure about him. I don’t think he is an unstoppable beast of a man. I’m not yet sure he’s the out-and-out, clear-cut abuser some press makes him out to be. I bet the line, “R Kelly’s complicated” is an complete understatement though.

Transit-wise, this year, Saturn is going to land on his Mercury-Sun, soon to be followed by a square to Mars. This docuseries appears to be making waves in the US and anything that shines a light on the dark side of the industry is to be welcomed. Hope that justice eventually prevails but not holding my breath.

I read this then as him potentially winning the lawsuit against Lifetime if he does go ahead. But I think his reputation is now tarnished and his credibility shot to pieces as far as I and many others are concerned. Can’t listen to his music in the same way again or listen period.
