Florida recounts – if you can’t win, cheat

Trump has called for recounts to stop in Florida’s votes for Senate and governor, handing victories to fellow Republicans Rick Scott and Ron DeSantis. He alleged without evidence that many ballots are missing and forged and that a valid tally is not possible. There is no evidence of criminal conduct according to the Florida secretary of state’s office, which is led by a Scott appointee. Military and overseas votes are still to be counted.

Bill Nelson, 29 September 1942, up against Scott, looks aggravated and held back till December 2nd with tr Saturn square his Sun, Mars in Libra; though running at the same time he’s got a couple of helpful transits to Jupiter midpoints running through this month till December 5; and another mild Jupiter running through December and January. He’s on good form and pushing hard in 2019/2020.

Rick Scott, 1 December 1952 4.30am Bloomington, IL, if his birth time is accurate is labouring under a very sticky, prone-to-setback Solar Arc MC conjunct his Saturn now and for a few months. Even discounting the birth time he looks aggravated in the first ten days of December; and its pretty much all downhill for him in 2019/2020.

Ron DeSantis, 14 September 1978, looks blocked now from November 14th to the 22nd; with a highly uncertain tr Neptune opposition his Sun/Saturn midpoint till the New Year. Though he does have one mid Jupiter to buoy him up this month. 2019 is swampy for him.

Andrew Gillum, 26 July 1979, up against DeSantis, hasn’t much of note without a birth time, apart from a major amount of irritability and isn’t on good form in 2019.

  1. Marjorie,

Thank you so much for taking the time to right about this. You’re post about this does give me some hope that our Senator Bill Nelson will pull through all of this.

Both the Governor and U.S. Senate races are still too close too call. Ron DeSantis and Rick Scott are both declaring “victory” even before all of the votes have been counted. Senator Bill Nelson and Andrew Gillum have filed lawsuits. Rick Scott, Marco Rubio, and Donald Trump are all making false accusations against Democrats claiming “fraud” and they’re encouraging right-wing protesters to harass various supervisor of elections offices all over Florida.

Something just doesn’t seem right about this election. I remember about a month ago, Senator Bill Nelson announced something about him having evidence that the Russians had penetrated our voting systems here in Florida – this was mentioned a few times on the national news networks…but then nothing more was ever said about it. It does seem awfully suspicious that both Ron DeSantis and Rick Scott (both terrible candidates) would win. Andrew Gillum was ahead of Ron DeSantis in EVERY poll. Bill Nelson was ahead of Rick Scott is most polls too. Also, some off-the-wall source claimed that data showed 12% of African-American and Afro-Caribbean women here in Florida voted for Ron DeSantis….which is absolutely ridiculous. There is NO way 12% of African-American / Afro-Caribbean women would vote for a racist scumbag like Ron DeSantis.

Also, it’s odd that Amendment 4 (which will restore voter rights to former non-violent convicted felons) would pass here in Florida by almost 65% of the vote….but again, both Gillum and Nelson would come up short in votes. Most Republicans and conservatives don’t support Amendment 4. So, it was mostly progressive Independents and Democrats who voted in favor of it…and there’s no way they would vote for DeSantis and Scott.

We Democrats were able to flip two Republican U.S. Congressional districts here in Florida: Florida 26th (which was held by Republican Carlos Curbelo…but went to Democrat Debbie Mucarsel-Powell) and Florida 27th (which went to Democrat Donna Shalala). It appears we flipped one Florida Senate District too: Florida State Senate District 18 was held by Republican Dana Young….but it’s likely going to go to Democrat Janet Cruz.

Last but not least, Democrat Nikki Fried is declaring victory in the Florida Agriculture Commissioner race. So..she’s the only Democrat in a statewide race who is currently ahead in the votes.

All in all, given everything I just mentioned…I find it hard to believe Ron DeSantis and Rick Scott would be the winners. I really hope the manual recounts reveal the truth.

By the way…I’m happy Andrew Gillum and Bill Nelson at least won my county (Duval County [Jacksonville]). My parents and I happily voted for Andrew Gillum, Bill Nelson, Nikki Fried, and Democrat up and down the ballot.

  2. Broward County is an embarrassment, and the potential for a stolen Florida election is real
Brenda Snipes, the county’s election supervisor, is at the center of the controversy after invalid and valid votes in the elections were reportedly mixed. Broward County has a reputation for both corruption and incompetence in elections. The ballot was totally incompetent, Right now, I think there’s much more proof of incompetence than corruption.”

  3. “Trump has called for recounts to stop in Florida’s votes for Senate and governor, handing victories to fellow Republicans Rick Scott and Ron DeSantis.”

Clarification, Trump did not only order to stop recounts, but to stop counting Overseas mail votes. Overseas mail votes count in Florida, which has almost 100 000 active duty residents and possibly the largest percentage of Veterans in any state. And it wouldn’t make any sense normally, since Military personel is overwhelmingly Republican, so Oversea votes should help Scott and De Sanctis. But Trump just skipped not only visiting a Military Cemetary in France, but Arlington for Veteran’s Day. And it was revealed his Administration is months behind in paying GI Bill. Something is up, I guess his Internal 2020 Campaign Polling with Military isn’t where it should be.

Also, Jeb Bush who effectively nominated Broward County Electoral Officer is calling her to resign.
